I own one. Not impressed as an edc. Its not worth the money I spent. Between the full length long grip and the "flush fit" 17rd mags that stick out three eights of an inch past magwell dont make it very conceilable. Its not the width of a gun its the handle that shows.
I currently have the 43X MOS in stock configuration and the Sig X Macro in stock configuration. Glock was $500 and Sig was $800. To make the 43X comparable, you would have to add night sights to replace the plastic sights, two S15 Shield Mags + mag catch which brings the price of the glock to $700+. If you add a comp that will bring the $500 Glock to $800+ easy.
exactly. just got the Macro last week and im very happy with it for the 800$ price. been glock fan all my life but this Macro feels better in my hands than any glock ive ever held. although it would be nice to get an extra mag for the price its not the end of the world.
Even though I have a smaller frame I like carrying full size firearms. This has peeked my interest a few times. I personally would’ve liked a longer barrel without the comp for less money. I don’t know if you like doing them anymore, but would be interested in a hellcat vs xmarco video. Great video as always.
I had some good and bad experiences during the P365 debut, moved on to other platforms and did other things. Then decided one day while trading guns around to try a 365 XL… Well … it does everything I need to carry pistol to do, now I’m basically switching everything over to the 365 series! The 365 macro is an inevitable purchase, but going to focus on the newer XL TAC PAC models that retain the rear sight with the optic first. Something to note, my hand prefers the Macro frame over than the Wilson frame.
So I’ve been carrying this for a few months now and they only issue I have had is surface rust on the gun and the magazines. The finish on SIGs just never seem to hold up
I don’t particularly like sigs finish either. But I daily carry my 365 all day and I work outside or in a hot warehouse. Seems to hold up well. I do oil it at least every 2 weeks to a month. If you edc a pistol it does get dirty quickly.
I just bought the X Macro tacops as I have been waiting for that configuration. After calculating, it was cheaper to buy the Tacops instead of getting an xl and later an x macro grip module (and the mags to fit it) . Plus it comes with cool mag well and I got 4 mags with a loader. I wasn’t a fan of the OG tacops having the comp.
I was never a big fan of Sig pistols, with the except of the 226. I didn't like how tall the 320 felt to shoot, but I appreciated their drive to try and make something different. I felt much the same with the P365 when it first dropped. The grip was just too small for me and I hate having a finger dangling off the pistol. Along comes the XMacro and that has all changed. Not just a great gun for concealed carry, but a gun that I find enjoyable enough to take to the range for plinking around, and not just familiarization with the carry gun.
Just got mine with a customworks fcu in it and a shield rmsc on top. Going to throw an eps or eps carry on top. Only problem is now the old lady wants it..... Dang!
Thanks for the video! I already had a 365xl, so I waited and got the macro grip module and mags on sigs website a few days ago. Now I’m just lookin for a good holster.
Shot 1.1k through mine in a week and it was flawless. Shot every way possible included self-defense by my hip as I pull out of my holster. There is a noticeable concussion that you will feel from it but not HORRIBLE. That’s the only thing I worried about from the compensated slide. Other than that, the slide does get VERY hot after two to three mags. Best subcompact pistol I’ve seen in a while.
Im 6’2” and typically wear 2XL-3XL gloves and the XMacro is great with the Large backplate. Definitely agree about the price but I was willing to pay it for such a great concealed option. I loved the Walther PDP but size difference was significant! Finding a holster has been a struggle though
Just found your channel shortly after I picked up a Macro in late August. Really enjoy the channel!! 760 rounds so far without any cleaning with NO issues. LOVE the gun! Tasked with holster selection (thanks for T1C MSP video I watched yesterday) and then will carry. The Macro does leave one feeling they're shooting a larger gun. Sig has just recently made the magazines available on their website, with description implying the mag will retrofit older 365's
Your criticisms of Sig are well founded. I own the Macro and an X Carry, but Sig is often their own worst enemy with pricing, dropping models, lack of mag compatibility & cost, and I believe, overexposure.
When it came out I really wanted it but I went the hellcat pro and with the rebate that springfield offered it was a sweet deal! I've not regretted. Great video like always man 😎👍
I’m on the fence with the Pro and X-Macro. The Sig would be the odds on favorite if they knocked $100 off. If you did it over again would you buy the Pro again or pony up the extra money for the Sig?
@@bajacore bro I would take the PRO again hands down. Springfield just announced the fde color you should check it out! Mine is fde but I bought it with a cerakote. The macro will be like $300 more and with that you can buy the holosun red dot for the pro 😎👍
@@GabylannPR I just bought a black one with the gear up deal. I’ll do an FDE cerakote once it shows up. Couldn’t pass up 3 extra mags, range bag and other goodies for $559 shipped.
What does this new P356x Macro do that the Hellcat Pro doesn't do, other than 2 more rounds (with the additional grip length to go with it) and a $300 bigger hit to the wallet? The Macro would be a hell of a lot more attractive at $650-699 with the standard non-comp XL slide and barrel. Even better with a 4"-4.5" barrel, since I might as well have the additional velocity and sight radius if I'm going with a pistol that is, while impressively slim, still 5.2" tall. It's the grip that prints.
I picked up a X Macro for $760 out the door including a 10% sales tax which is about $690 + sales tax. As far as I'm concerned it's a great gun for that. It's a modular gun, has changeable back straps, a great trigger, great grip, great capacity and I shoot it as good as my p320's and better than my 365 XL.
The X Macro is what the XL should have been….. I have the XL and like it, just wishing the frame was a tad longer. When the Macro came out, I held it at my LGS and instantly felt the improvement. I was able to find a Macro frame + mags and have in my opinion a great firearm with XL on top and Macro on bottom. Had a pistol class yesterday and she handled herself perfectly. Now just looking for holster to start carrying her again.
@@TacticalConsiderations Nope, I have two kydex IWB and one polymer OWB and neither goes passed the trigger guard. I do have a leather OWB Glock 19, and that one fits as it doesn’t secure on the trigger guard. It’s what I used for my class yesterday.
I'm 62 years old this is the best carry gun I've ever owned !! I practice with the ammo I carry and that's liberty defense. I like the weapon so well I'm going to buy a second one!
Good review Mike. Would be interested in hearing your opinion of the P365X Macro vs. the Hellcat Pro ...performance, concealability, value, etc. If you ever do compare them, turn them upside down resting on their slides, comparing grip height...with the magazines inserted. On paper the grip height of the Macro is 5.2", the same as my P10C. The Hellcat Pro is 4.8", 0.4" less than the Macro. For reference, the Glock 19 is 5.04".
@@wesleycameron1034 I did at my LGS. It did feel pretty good, but no better than my Hellcat Pro but longer in grip length. I like the grip angle, greater grip coverage, and sight picture (faster acquisition) of the Hellcat Pro more than the Sig though. No interest in the comp and I have a 17 round Hellcat magazine via putting the 13 round regular Hellcat magazine baseplate on my 15 round Hellcat Pro magazine. This longer magazine is fine for my backup. The ability to direct mount a Holosun "k" optic on the Sig is a tangible benefit, although I am not yet committed to having one on my EDC. To each his own. For reference, I do own the P365 and P365XL as well. I like and respect Mike's opinions which I why I posted. I usually agree with him, although (unlike Mike) I like my CZ P10C more than my Walther PDP! 😁
Great review. I’m good and satisfied with my 320x carry. I got the regular 365 tach pack comes with 3 mags 13 rounds each and a carry bag. Had the opportunity to get the macro but saw a better deal.
Nice review Mike. I agree the cost is inflated for what you get as proven by the recently released X Macro Tacops ...3.7" barrel, no ports but comes with 3 mags ..for less! I dont find the ports on the X Macro to be significant at all. I'd rather have the longer Tacops barrel, no ports and 3 Mags for less money. Note: The TACOPS was not available when I got my X Macro.
I love the gun and it’s probably gonna be my next EDC carry gun,but you’re right,it’s about $100 too expensive! I’m gonna wait until it’s been out about a year,(maybe the price will come down by then)! Don’t forget, when the original P365 first came out,it was selling for $600,then after it had been out for about a year, the price dropped down to $500!
Solid offering from the thinktank at Sig. I personally feel they should have gone the xl slide/barrel route as the short barrel and "comp" seems pointless with the chambering and full grip. But you know what opinions are like. The grip modules and mags will probably sell like crazy. All in all, I like the forward thinking from the gun industry over the last several years.
the grips and magazines were released the other day and already sold out. I bought a Macro grip and mags from someone the week the Macro was released over a month ago and I put my XL slide and barrel on it. Love the set up.
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir! I prefer to have the XL slide rather than the comped slide. As soon as the Macro was released I knew what I was gonna do to my XL.
They offer now the X Macro Tacops which eliminates the slide comp and get a longer barrel and sight radius. Plus an extra 4 mags and detachable flared magwell. I seen them about 50 bucks cheaper too than the normal X Macros now
I have the XL slide on the Macro grip and I think you'll love it. I also have a 365X so I wanted to do something to make my XL different from my X. Overall it's longer, grip is bigger, and holds more rounds. it feels like a totally different gun now compared to my X.
Kind of hoping to see a link to the thousand round review, Love to see what your longer term viewpoint is. I'm going to have to search through your videos to see if I missed it!
I have the X-macro and it shoots well for my 1st handgun. 17rds is a real eye-catcher at its size. If you took a base P365/X/XL, then you need to include the cost of the following: new grip mod for 17rds (w/ a 1913 rail from tac dev), add a threaded barrel, add the comp, and add the spring kit required for the comp. With all that in mind, I'm fairly certain that the cost would well exceed that of retail at $800.
I don't have a XMacro but I do have 2 XLs and I shoot them together at the range. One has a P365X Spectre Comp slide. It has less felt recoil, I maintain a more secure grip while shooting faster and have tighter groupings than the standard XL. I don't notice any difference in the loudness of the reports from the guns either. I run them fast and do reloads but I'm not doing 15 round mag dumps so the slides becoming hot to the touch is a non issue for me.
Personally I think the price isn't bad for what you get. Would I like it in the $600 range? Of course!!The $60 mags are stupid but I'm buying them. But you're getting The premium edc gun. Compared to all of its peers in that category, you get a flatter shooting gun with better recoil control. The ergonomics of the macro are far better than most with the back strap options. You get modularity to create multiple gun sizes to customize the type of carry you choose for deep concealment, everyday carry, night stand gun, etc. You have excellent sights with optic capability and the trigger out of the box is pretty good. Personally every carry gun I've had, (glocks, m&p, cz's etc) I've had to customize to get even close which puts the cost more than the macro. Lastly when you compare the size, weight, capability, and reliability, it's really not even close to anything else. And no I don't work for sig, nor am I a sig fanboy, lol. I, like you also have a love/hate relationship with sig but this gun has really set the standard. if the 365's/macro wasn't my edc, I'd either carry the 43x or the new SS cr920 which is more expensive and you get less. As always with glock, I"m changing the sights, getting the shield mags and maybe a trigger change.. The Macro is still better and less expensive when you add up all the cost, at least for me. YMMV. Great video as always!
There is some truth there to customizing other stuff to get it where you want it. And I do appreciate and like what they did but man they are just pricey on everything.
@@TacticalConsiderations Yeah I would agree with you there for sure, just look at the 365 Spectra, I would have thought the Macro would be in the similar price range. Thankfully it wasn't. Keep up the good work!
If you already have the P365XL & you just want the increased capacity you can just buy the 17 rd magazines. The magazines come with extra baseplates that you can switch out so that the 17 rd mag will fit into the smaller framed P365 models.
Once the local range has a rental I am going to check it out, I don't have large hands, small guns and I just don't get along, I like the grip size of a Glock 19 (or others that size). I do like how it feels for a smaller gun. I am going ot have to check it out if my MR920 becomes to much of a burden. It is also hard to want to get a gun then have to get more mags, holsters etc when I am set up in the MR920 and DR920 gear eco system
Have you had any rusting issue? If you're in AZ we're in the same type of environment. I feel like it's overpriced but that 17 round magazine in that size is awesome.
I just bought a tac pac 365XL and ordered the Wilson combat module for it and feel instant regret for not waiting on this. But, thankfully in a few months if Wilson combat makes a macro grip and price it within price of the one for the 365xl (probably a bargain even if it cost twice as much, just paid $51 for my XL one) and can get my hand on a few mags for $200 or so I’ll have the best of both worlds I can switch between depending on what I’m feeling. I did this with my 43/43x also but that was 6 or 10 rounds. Just a few years later going between 12 or 17 is crazy to think about!
I wasn’t too happy with the price either and im also not a big fan of the comp. I already own a P365XL so i just ordered the frame and mags before they went out of stock. I think It’ll perform well without the comp.
Love the innovation coming out of Sig but $800? I already have the Regular P365, the XL and the P365-380. Have a chance to buy a P30SK fpr $660 or this new X Macro What would you think it's a better choice if you could only buy one?
Thanks James. There is a noticeable difference in recoil. I tried to put some up close slow motion so its viewable .. Now is it worth it to upgrade from an XL probably not.
@@TacticalConsiderations Very much so, you should check out the Underwood Xtreme Defender 90gr+p and Hawg Holsters located in my city of Scottsdale,Az John is great! For a good gun store checkout Arizona Firearms in Tempe! 👍🏻
I certainly agree. Not to thrilled about Sigs pistols. I have the P365xl and will be swapping out the grip for the xmacro. And yes its way over priced. Great $500 gun for $800. And yes for those prices need 3 mags and a bigger case. IMO its just the stock sights are better then the glock and the aggressive gip texture. Not sure i would buy another sig. But im definitely lookong into the hellcat pro
I was thinking $650, 700 max myself. I’m in the minority when it comes to these high cap, thin carry guns. Seems like the length of a full size grip with base plate and the weight of 18 rounds is a bit much for how I want to carry. I’m cool with 10 in the gun and 13 to reload, especially since we were confident with 7 or 8 rounds for so many years.
i went to a sig sauer event in new hampshire. and shot alot of different pistols. this was one of them. i actually liked this pistol and came close to purchasing it. but cause i live in ny im only allowed 10rnd mags. so i wasnt able to buy cause of that. the feel of the gun felt good in my hand. recoil was low for a compact pistol.
I would want the x macro grip with the specter comp FCU and a XL slide and barrel with an added comp. this would be the best grip with the best trigger with the longer barrel + comp. my ideal do everything gun.
Yes! You are so right ✅️ The Sig P365 XMacro is a great pistol, BUT, *overpriced* by *overhype* marketing. Also, it should come with 3 magazines. As long as compulsive buyers and gun snobs are willing to pay "whatever" to have the new model in the market, the "big name" gun manufacturers will keep satisfying that craving by jacking up the prices.
Not a Sig handgun fan, love their long guns though. For me the length of the slide has never been an issue, I don't appendix carry though, in concealing a weapon. It's the hand guard that prints so that's what I look for, now I live in an open carry state so if it shows I'm not going to have a problem with the police but it does ruin the concealing part, lol. YMMV
Well that is really dependent on what your looking for in the capacity and comp world. Both are fine choices but the sig is quite a bit more expensive. The pro give 15 rounds flush fit and very easy to carry and control . The macro gives full size capacity with a reduced recoil and the higher price. I don't think you would be disappointed in either but the sig FCU also allows you to guy an xl or x grip module and run shorter grips.
TC, question for you. I have noticed my P365 has a dull, almost hollow thud, when I function checked it. I pulled the slide off and checked the striker movement, by sliding it back and also ensured it moves forward. I saw a thread only from 2018 saying the dull thud sound was normal from the newer models. but I only found one forum this on this topic, and it was 5 years old. I am curious if the screws from the optic might be interfering, but I don't know how to check.
@Tactical Considerations cool. Never owned one before and it's first function check after its first cleaning sounds like something OTHER what the manual says... LOL
Still going to stick with my G19 with pre 94 mags until my state is forced to drop the 10 round mag limits that make this SIG less desirable, dimple restricted mags are no fun.
So, i havent seen anyone else talking about the same issue I recently had with mine. Which could be a good thing. But i had my mag release break and fall out after 10 days and maybe 100 rds. And i was literally training reloads at home when it happened.
@@TacticalConsiderations the retaining peice broke. Which i was hoping sig could just send me a new one, but they said i had to send it back. But still, i was shocked it broke so easily..
I've shot and compared it to my 43x. Just a smidge snappier than thr glock to ME. That said the noise isn't an issue and the 17 rounds is attractive as hell. The hellcat pro was meh. I might get this and add it to the rotation.
Can anyone answer why Sig didn’t make the magazines flush-fitting? I’m asking is it a technical reason that they made a protruding magazine instead of a flush fitting one??
I will do tried and proven Mag-Na-Porting of my M&P 2.0 10mm with a 4.625 inch barrel. And no safety lever as this is my open carry security guard piece. Use Floyds Custom magazine extension on all my magazines to up the magazine to 16 with 1 in chamber to make 17.
I wonder. I have a 365X with a threaded barrel (the usual c. 1/2" longer) with a Micro-Comp on the end, plus a Wilson Combat grip with tungsten inserts. I wonder if, with the longer barrel (but likely OAL less than the X Macro) plus the MicroComp plus the tungsten inserts, if my current setup's flip and recoil might be better than the X Macro. If you're interested in testing those hypothesis, I'm an FFL and would happily send my pistol to you.
I really appreciate your input on the cost of this gun. Sharing that opinion made a subscriber out of me. It’s a breath of fresh air seeing a reviewer that takes cost into consideration instead of just overhyping a gun. I think this macro is amazing and I love what Sig is doing. However, I do not believe these guns are worth what they’re asking. I can afford to pick this up but it’s hard to justify this price. I’ll wait till Wilson combat makes the module and slowly build my own with an XL as the foundation. $60 for a mag? I’ll pass and source them later. I’m already seeing a lot of buyer’s remorse with people selling these guns in the secondary market.
I have a x macro and a m17, i.e., 320. Assuming the trigger in the M17 is the same as the 320, I found the M17 trigger superior to my x macro. The x macro has a lot of take up, once on the wall its gritty through a long release. The x macro reset trigger is pretty good. No mush, or grittiness. Just my thoughts. I carry my x macro every day. Be careful it will print in the wrong shirt. I simply untuck my shirt at the gun location.
How does this compare to the Glock 43x MOS in your opinion ? Also, if you live in a 10 round mag restricted state would your recommendation change? Love the content. Thanks!
Love your videos so thanks for the content. Regarding the XMacro. I’ve had mine a couple months now. And maybe it’s because I’m not a huge dude but that grip is just making it near-impossible to carry during the hotter months and times where t-shirts and little cover ups are required. I think it will be awesome as a winter and colder months option for me but otherwise the grip length is no better than my 19. Bummed about this.
I assume you're talking about printing. I really couldn't care less about printing and wonder why others do. Not illegal here in FL and if anyone asks, I simply ignore. None of your business.
Most of that comes down to size and clothing choice. I don't worry as much about printing as I used to since everyone these days cannot look away from their phone.
Fair enough, but I didn’t realize the group would actually be longer than my 19. Don’t really care about the barrel, but the grip just prints like a big dog for me. Awesome pistol and ill have no problem carrying this fall and winter. Only trying to make a point. My good buddy carries it no problem, but he’s also a big guy. Thanks.
I traded a single stack PPS M2 (about a 10% discount) for the XMacro, but well worth it. Trigger is not as good, but easily learned, & for IWB concealment it rides about the same as the Walther.
@@TacticalConsiderations hi brother thank you for this video. i was hoping you could also compare it with the glock 43x using the s15 mags. they're the closest i have in comparison size wise. thank you!!!
I already have decided that I am going to take my original 365 and put it in a mischief machine omega xl frame, 12-15 round mags, buy a 365 xl, MM Commander macro plus, 17 round mags, Parker Mountain Machine Comp/ Barrel. I would like to also change both triggers to M Carbo triggers and put a red dot on the XL slide.
Sig has already dropped the first batch of X-Macro grip modules and 17 rd mags and sold out. Missed the grip modules but got some mags. Guessing they will reload soon. Sig may end cannibalizing some of their 320 market considering that the 365 XM lower with an XL slide and threaded barrel tops many of the 320 variants in capacity and barrel length in a more carry-friendly package.
Why is it a positive that you keep the rear sight? If you get a correct red dot you will get a rear sight. And now you have 2 rear sights and you dot glass is closer to the ejection port to get dinged up faster. It is a negative not a positive
I bought the x macro and bought the new XL slide to put on it. A lot of people don’t know that they sell an XL slide on sigs website that has the updated optics cut. Don’t know why they’re still selling the XL with the rear sight removed optics cut
I have both they are pretty cool guns perfect for concealment and are accurate and fun to shoot. I can run my sig like a champ tho man I have a Holosun 407k on my sig and I am impressed on how fast I can get that dot back on the target. I run that sig fast and accurately. The 43x is still an awesome weapon system and so easy to conceal!!
Bought one in Nov. over 1000 rds no problems I’m shooting. But I regret buying it because of the constant rust problem it’s ridiculous bad finish seems like no effort at all for the price.. bought it for edc carry but it hasn’t happened yet.
@@TacticalConsiderations awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of the macro frame they are making. I would rather have the 12/15 round capacity but with the comped slide from sig. Best of both worlds the. In my opinion.
You really cracked me up. " the best $500 gun for $800 ". That was rich.
Lol seriously though .
I paid it though and love it!
Only people you make angry are the ones who paid the $800 like me. LOL
It's worth it.
That is one way to look at it for sure.
exactly. just got the Macro last week and im very happy with it for the 800$ price. been glock fan all my life but this Macro feels better in my hands than any glock ive ever held. although it would be nice to get an extra mag for the price its not the end of the world.
Plus, is the Glock even close to as comfortable to shoot?!?!
I have both also. I’d say the comp isn’t really a comp but the macro is growing on me. 17. Rds is hard to beat in roughly same size as a 43x
Even though I have a smaller frame I like carrying full size firearms. This has peeked my interest a few times. I personally would’ve liked a longer barrel without the comp for less money. I don’t know if you like doing them anymore, but would be interested in a hellcat vs xmarco video. Great video as always.
Its got a big feel to it.. Not full size but definitely not like a micro.
There is an imagine of one with a 4.5” ish barrel floating out there. Expect it to be released soon enough as the macro xL
If you already have an XL, you can swap the slides. The recoil impulse is similar to the 320C, so it’s totally manageable.
You can put the grip on a xl slide
The TACOPS is cheaper, has a standard slide, full-length barrel, magwell and comes with 4 magazines.
I bought the P365 X-Macro Tactical which has a full barrel and magwell. Does not have the comp built into it. I love it. Great conceal and carry.
Very cool.
How is recoil? I am considering one. Thanks, and happy shooting.
@@Zona-dw9rp it is not bad at all. I have a weak grip and still can get back on target quickly. It is a great carry gun for me. It is nice and thin.

What holster are you using?
Just picked one up and love. I do agree that there needs to be a third mag. That would have been nice.

The 365 macro is an inevitable purchase, but going to focus on the newer XL TAC PAC models that retain the rear sight with the optic first.
Something to note, my hand prefers the Macro frame over than the Wilson frame.
They definitely got this one right. I am almost wishing I would have just waited for the macro over the XL.
@@TacticalConsiderations SIg came out with xmacro grip modules.
So I’ve been carrying this for a few months now and they only issue I have had is surface rust on the gun and the magazines. The finish on SIGs just never seem to hold up
Well that is no good at all. I am in AZ so rust almost never happens, but I am gonna keep an eye on it for sure.
I don’t particularly like sigs finish either. But I daily carry my 365 all day and I work outside or in a hot warehouse. Seems to hold up well. I do oil it at least every 2 weeks to a month. If you edc a pistol it does get dirty quickly.
You are my fav gun tuber. Everything about your channel is legit. This channel is my fav TV show.
Alan I really appreciate that.
I got one. It a nice midland size gun with full size capacity and smaller footprint than a full-size/compact guns. Shoots great too.
That is my feeling as well.
That Tacops is definitely a cool set up .. I need to see if I can borrow one.
Yup, I have not always been a fan of sig and honestly disliked most of ther stuff until the x series
Just got mine with a customworks fcu in it and a shield rmsc on top. Going to throw an eps or eps carry on top. Only problem is now the old lady wants it..... Dang!
Lol the lady gonna get that from you . Better get her another.
Thanks for the video! I already had a 365xl, so I waited and got the macro grip module and mags on sigs website a few days ago. Now I’m just lookin for a good holster.
that is the way to go. Blackarch holsters has you that what I used in the video.
@@TacticalConsiderations thanks man! I’ll go check em out
TXC has been making holsters
Shot 1.1k through mine in a week and it was flawless. Shot every way possible included self-defense by my hip as I pull out of my holster. There is a noticeable concussion that you will feel from it but not HORRIBLE. That’s the only thing I worried about from the compensated slide. Other than that, the slide does get VERY hot after two to three mags. Best subcompact pistol I’ve seen in a while.
OH yeah going from retention or hip line you are gonna notice a comp is present in the slide.
@@TacticalConsiderations needless to say, I’m in love 😂
Im 6’2” and typically wear 2XL-3XL gloves and the XMacro is great with the Large backplate.
Definitely agree about the price but I was willing to pay it for such a great concealed option.
I loved the Walther PDP but size difference was significant!
Finding a holster has been a struggle though
It's come way down in price now
Just found your channel shortly after I picked up a Macro in late August.
Very nice I am glad you are enjoying the macro. The 365xl holsters will work with it as well.
Comp is cool but if I wanted to carry a full-size handgun I would. P365 XL is still the king of concealed carry! Perfect mix between size/capacity.
I think that may have to do with size of the person . For me this size is perfect.
Your criticisms of Sig are well founded. I own the Macro and an X Carry, but Sig is often their own worst enemy with pricing, dropping models, lack of mag compatibility & cost, and I believe, overexposure.
Yup.. its tough to keep up doing reviews on them due to the cost up front.
I agree, the cost is a bit steep for what it is.
100-% my guy.
When it came out I really wanted it but I went the hellcat pro and with the rebate that springfield offered it was a sweet deal! I've not regretted. Great video like always man 😎👍
Yeah that PRO sale was nice .. And its a solid set up. I am gonna do a side by side.
@@TacticalConsiderations looking forward to that video 😁 👍
They will both accomplish the same.. The hellcat pro is a fine choice. The macro will recoil less and give 2 rounds is the only real difference.
Mine gets here tomorrow! Upgrading from a regular Hellcat w/a Hyve mag extension.
Very cool hope you enjoy
The X Macro is what the XL should have been….. I have the XL and like it, just wishing the frame was a tad longer. When the Macro came out, I held it at my LGS and instantly felt the improvement. I was able to find a Macro frame + mags and have in my opinion a great firearm with XL on top and Macro on bottom. Had a pistol class yesterday and she handled herself perfectly. Now just looking for holster to start carrying her again.
(XL holsters will work), apparently SIG is in cahoots with holster manufacturers 😳
@@warrenharrison9490 Not the ones I have tried. The trigger guard is thicker than the XL. 😢
@@GuardianCraft1 oof. Thanks SIG, always making one thing on their guns non standard to something else...😐
Your xl holster should fit.
Its a very nice choice for sure. All around a great size and very controllable.
Stop reading about it and put it in your hands. Trust me. Just feel it in your hands.
I will be doing a side by side video of them for sure. I am gonna try to do a knockout of the competitors. in one video
Could you please do a follow-up video to this, to see if an XL slide and barrel fits the Macro frame?
I discuss that in the video it can be done.
@@TacticalConsiderations oh cool. The video won't play for me after the 5 minute mark. I live in the country so my network is less than desirable.
I love my Macro comp. I also have the P320 X V-Tac and I can't decide which I like better. Great video thanks
Good choice!
Great review. I’m good and satisfied with my 320x carry. I got the regular 365 tach pack comes with 3 mags 13 rounds each and a carry bag. Had the opportunity to get the macro but saw a better deal.
Well if your happy with it that's the key.
Thanks Gary. The Tacops version is definitely the better value.
Sig is just killing it with all the guns their coming out with!!
They are dropping stuff .
I hope it comes down for sure. even 650 is reasonable.
All those XL slides are gonna love that new macro grip.
@@TacticalConsiderations you damn skippy...lol
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir! I prefer to have the XL slide rather than the comped slide. As soon as the Macro was released I knew what I was gonna do to my XL.
They offer now the X Macro Tacops which eliminates the slide comp and get a longer barrel and sight radius. Plus an extra 4 mags and detachable flared magwell. I seen them about 50 bucks cheaper too than the normal X Macros now
I just purchased the x macro grip module and mags from the Sig website. I have the 365XL looking forward to the new look.
I have the XL slide on the Macro grip and I think you'll love it. I also have a 365X so I wanted to do something to make my XL different from my X. Overall it's longer, grip is bigger, and holds more rounds. it feels like a totally different gun now compared to my X.
Its a nice change in grip size more contrallable.
Thanks again man! I have been waying this against the Hell Cat Pro! Your help is very appreciated! ✌️
Sure thing. Both are great choices.
Try the 210 c and you will be a fan. Very, very accurate and great ergonomics. Try it!
If I can source one.
Kind of hoping to see a link to the thousand round review, Love to see what your longer term viewpoint is. I'm going to have to search through your videos to see if I missed it!
It hasn't come out yet. I need a couple more range trips on this one.
😂😂💚-“Sig is really good at making $500 pistols for $800” So true.. great products, although, in general, always slightly overpriced!
I know man I love it but really $800
43x mos at 600, plus 100/150 for metal night sights = 700/750, plus 50 each for s15 plus 25 for mag release. You where saying?
@@heaterfamily great point.
My favorite comment
It’s time to do a Safe tour series 😂. And all gun manufacturers should make 3 mags standard.
I have a video on the build but I need to finish it off. There is a bit more room I can maximize just need to get with secureit to finalize the build.
I’d love to see a head to head video of this pistol vs the Hellcat Pro!
That is coming for sure.
I saw sig just released the xmacro grip module so you can pair it with the 365xl slide
Yup sure can.
You got some nice one. The Grip and mags are all you need to have this fuller model.
Or buy the frame and mags and you have a sorta macro
it's fantastic paired up with a phlster enigma, especially in a suit.
Glad you are enjoying it.
@@TacticalConsiderations thanks man!
9:20 could it be thicker, for better retention in certain holsters? 🤷🏻♂️
eh maybe.
Definitely give it a try . I do love the way it runs the cost is just high.
Have you had any rusting issue? If you're in AZ we're in the same type of environment. I feel like it's overpriced but that 17 round magazine in that size is awesome.
I haven't but I keep getting lots of comments about that. Almost like tons are having coating issues.
Great job again, Mike! Love the honesty.
I appreciate that!
Appreciate you making the point about price, another excellent review. ✊🏾✊🏾
for sure man. Seems a lower price point would really make this a top choice.
Yeah just wait on the Macro grip you will be just fine.
Been waiting on this video. Nice review. I picked my X Macro up this week and will be putting first rounds through it this afternoon. 🤙🏽
Your going to love it
Hell yeah man definitely report back.
Sig is giving us plenty of options for sure
Yes they are. They are flooding the market with options.
I wasn’t too happy with the price either and im also not a big fan of the comp. I already own a P365XL so i just ordered the frame and mags before they went out of stock. I think It’ll perform well without the comp.
yeah that is the way to roll for you ..
Love the innovation coming out of Sig but $800? I already have the Regular P365, the XL and the P365-380. Have a chance to buy a P30SK fpr $660 or this new X Macro What would you think it's a better choice if you could only buy one?
I agree it's money for sure. I don't personally own an SK but thise who do seem to love them
Great video as always! Do you notice a recoil reduction compared to the standard XL?
Thanks James. There is a noticeable difference in recoil. I tried to put some up close slow motion so its viewable .. Now is it worth it to upgrade from an XL probably not.
I edc that gun with Underwood Xtreme Defender 90gr+p and a Hawg iwb holster and a Holosun 507k.
Very cool sounds like you are digging it?
Yeah 3 mags and a price of 650 or so and I'd say they were kicking AZZz but 800 it tough to choke down.
Just got my Tac Ops - absolutely love it.
Nice. Glad you enjoy it.
I was thinking $650, 700 max myself. I’m in the minority when it comes to these high cap, thin carry guns. Seems like the length of a full size grip with base plate and the weight of 18 rounds is a bit much for how I want to carry. I’m cool with 10 in the gun and 13 to reload, especially since we were confident with 7 or 8 rounds for so many years.
yeah that 800 price tag is tough to justify.
i went to a sig sauer event in new hampshire. and shot alot of different pistols. this was one of them. i actually liked this pistol and came close to purchasing it. but cause i live in ny im only allowed 10rnd mags. so i wasnt able to buy cause of that. the feel of the gun felt good in my hand. recoil was low for a compact pistol.
Sig has really gotten the angles and feel down right on the X series for sure. Hope those mag bans go away soon.
im not holding my breathe. these stupid laws are only hurting the law biding ppl and criminals dont give a fuck about the laws.
I would want the x macro grip with the specter comp FCU and a XL slide and barrel with an added comp. this would be the best grip with the best trigger with the longer barrel + comp. my ideal do everything gun.
Now that sounds titts.
Great video! What's the frame you're using on the XL you showed in the video with the longer beaver tail?
That was the icarus frame.
You get it brother.
@@TacticalConsiderations you do too, Mike, unfortunately, many gun "expert" *influencers* do not.
Hardly, considering what it comes with plus the quality.
@@celphalonred1999 you are one of them.

Very Cool glad you are enjoying it. I dig it as well. It will likely be a carry for me in the summer time.
I have this one and love it. It has bien my EDC since it came out. You just can't beat the 17+1.
Nice its been a solid pistol for sure.
YMMV
Appendix carry definitely changes the feel a bit.
@@TacticalConsiderations I bet it does, I just can't get comfortable with that position, 4:30 -5 o'clock works best for me.
On my bucket list
Its solid. I'd take it over my xl all day.
For the first pistol, What would you choose hellcat pro or x macro?
Well that is really dependent on what your looking for in the capacity and comp world. Both are fine choices but the sig is quite a bit more expensive. The pro give 15 rounds flush fit and very easy to carry and control . The macro gives full size capacity with a reduced recoil and the higher price. I don't think you would be disappointed in either but the sig FCU also allows you to guy an xl or x grip module and run shorter grips.
Thank you ❤️❤️👍🏼👍🏼
I love mine as well. It shoots so nice more like a full size gun.
yes it does. Small fame big feel.
For me that has always been the feel for the trigger check ..
Oh man, I hope you can one day get rid of that for sure. 10 rounders suck.
Picked one up and I love it.
Glad to hear it.
So, i havent seen anyone else talking about the same issue I recently had with mine. Which could be a good thing. But i had my mag release break and fall out after 10 days and maybe 100 rds. And i was literally training reloads at home when it happened.
That is interesting the polymer retaining piece give out and break or did it break at the frame.
This is a solid choice but its not worth 800 to me. I bought it for the channel and its cool but damn Sig is charging an arm and a leg for it.
Can anyone answer why Sig didn’t make the magazines flush-fitting? I’m asking is it a technical reason that they made a protruding magazine instead of a flush fitting one??
capacity is why.
Magnaport is life.
Sounds interesting.. I appreciate the offer.
One question it better the sig sauer p365 macro 3.1" or 3.7" barrel? Thanks! Nice videos.
Well that depends on if you want a smaller carry piece. 3.7 is easy to carry for me and control where 3.1 might be better for others.
I appreciate you watching and commenting. Although like you said the gun is really cool the price is way to high.
I simply untuck my shirt at the gun location.
thanks for watching and commenting
Question----will a sig 365 Xmacro/comp 9mm slide fit on a base sig 365 380 grip frame?...thank you
The 380 standard frame I don't know.
Great video. One question...which model watch are you wearing in the range footage?
That's the isobrite afterburner
@@TacticalConsiderations Thanks. Looks nice.
Wish it had the xl barrel instead of the comp. I'd rather have longer barrel length
Right. Kinda thinking I’ll get the macro frame and mags and just my XL slide and fire control unit in it…
That's where the xl and just buying the grip module come into play.
I’m really curious about your thoughts on the differences between the P365 models for an EDC.
Macro if you can, 365 xl if you cannot do the macro and 43x over the 365
What is the name of the Precision Grip at the beginning of the video. I want to check that out. Thanks
Icarus precision. Have something to hold onto when you look . I have a video on them they are like 350.
How does this compare to the Glock 43x MOS in your opinion ? Also, if you live in a 10 round mag restricted state would your recommendation change? Love the content. Thanks!
in a restricted state I would not spend the extra coin on the macro.
@@TacticalConsiderations Figured such, I also like the Striker Control Device mod option for the g43x. Thank you!
Oh yeah this is definitely a step up.
Would love to see this vs other compact competitors (Glock, Springfield, etc.) Great review as always!
I am thinking Hellcat PRO, Glock 19, MP Compact and maybe walther PDP compact when I get one in.
@@TacticalConsiderations That would be an awesome comparison!

I wish they would've made a module and new base pad to take the 15 round mags flush, i think that'd be the sweet spot. I do want that slide though.
The slide is definitely pretty cool.
Can you do a shooting comparison between the x macro and the macro tacops?
If I can get on in I will.
Yup saw they were out there now. They are hot cakes right now.
Why is it a positive that you keep the rear sight? If you get a correct red dot you will get a rear sight. And now you have 2 rear sights and you dot glass is closer to the ejection port to get dinged up faster. It is a negative not a positive
A valley on an optic is not set for the appropriate height as factory sights are they are a valley for sights not a replacement.
I bought the x macro and bought the new XL slide to put on it. A lot of people don’t know that they sell an XL slide on sigs website that has the updated optics cut. Don’t know why they’re still selling the XL with the rear sight removed optics cut
Yup .. Sig has a lot of options.
The X macro is a real sweet spot.
Bought one in Nov. over 1000 rds no problems I’m shooting. But I regret buying it because of the constant rust problem it’s ridiculous bad finish seems like no effort at all for the price.. bought it for edc carry but it hasn’t happened yet.
I have not seen any rust on mine but I live in Arizona
Best setup would be the icarus evo frame with the comped macro slide
I may have a video coming soon on a macro Icarus.
@@TacticalConsiderations awesome. I'm not the biggest fan of the macro frame they are making. I would rather have the 12/15 round capacity but with the comped slide from sig. Best of both worlds the. In my opinion.
