Thank you for taking the 17 round mag from the Macro and showing us that it will fit and work in the original 365. I know I'm not the only one wondering if that will work or not.

You did a great job covering the comparison of these pistols and I especially liked that you included the P320 X-Carry as well. Would have loved to seen how the macro printed for you instead of seeing you shoot the pistol.
Super helpful, I had my reservations while waiting for the 7 day hold to expire (thanks MD!). This resolved a lot of my concerns after having sold my 365 years ago because of the snappiness and the grip issue. Thanks for validating that I made the right choice going with this EDC.
Best! Best!! Best!!! Best Sig Sauer P365X Macro Comp REVIEW/REVIEWER on the entire Internet. No others come close. Your honest, thorough review convinced me to buy one TODAY! THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU!
thanks for this video! Just sold my p320 compact to get this x macro comp yesterday and your video really helped me understand the difference in p365 flavors.
I have just found your channel and this is the first video i have watched. I was on the fence about getting the Macro but you have cleared that up for me. You did a great job describing the differences. Im going to trade my 365X and get the Macro. Wonderful job. I'm now a subscriber.
You have addressed every issue that I considered and the reasons I didn't buy the hole line up, until the Macro came out, they got it right with this one ! For me the full grip was the need for my meat hooks , I never liked the idea of loosing the the ability to eject the mag without opening my hand up . The Macro is perfect length. The G43X S/15s have been the solution, long enough grip, enough rds , slim enough, 100% reliable, not one issue ! The Macro would be the next step up a little bigger, but smaller than the G45 . The perfect in-between. Great video
Thanks you never missed a beat on comparison ,very in depth so the buyer has a better idea on what's here for them. I did enjoy this one. Great Tutorial here....
I've carried the XL pretty much since its release. Upgraded enough components to be within an FCU and recoil spring of a 2nd XL. So of course that was a obstacle I overcame. Then, already having two XLs and seeing the X-Macro drop... I'm now three deep in the 365 'platform'. At first I played mix 'n match with all three pistols swapping uppers, lowers, barrels and slides. It's all interchangeable except you can't fit a longer barrel into the Macro slide. Probably because there's a tighter fit between the barrel and slide on the Macro - likely done to keep hot gasses from backing up into the dust cover and FCU. An LX slide and threaded barrel fits nicely on the Macro lower. I was about to get a 320 compact when the X-Macro dropped. At this point I'm happy I didn’t. Good video.
I'm in the same situation. I was just about to purchase a second p320, but got the Macro. I'm loving it so far. Plus I can make it smaller in the grip. I think I'm going to snag a wilson combat lower reg size and a smaller upper just so I can have a pocket option as well. Loving the Sig striker platforms so far.
@JPK What are your thoughts on the Macro now that you’ve had it a month? I’ve been shooting/carrying/collecting for the last 20 years and still to this day my 365XL is my absolute favorite carry gun. Love the trigger, insanely accurate, love shooting it. If you had to only pick one between the XL and the Macro which one would it be? I’m between picking up a Macro or grabbing an Icarus grip module for my XL.
@@BagsEsquire I would strongly recommend the 'XM' unless you're concerned about comcealing the XM's slightly longer grip. I find I'm still swapping the uppers with my XL not only because of the variety but due to holster issues. When I first received the XM I needed a holster fast and since I didn’t have an optic on it at the time I ordered basic holsters with 'no optic cut' to speed the process. Since then I've added a 507K with a green reticle. So I have a couple holsters that are 'no optics' and because of the forward positioning of the cut, causes any optic to catch on the holster. My Blackpoint Tactical arrived yesterday and it was worth the wait. Probly the best OWB holster for any 365 I've seen, Rides high and is canted and it holds the gun more tightly against one's side than any other I've tried. So with an untucked button front cover shirt shirt it allows concealment usually not found in an OWB... but... it was ordered without an optic cut and without surgery with a dremel tool that's a no-go. So Im currently carrying the XM lower with an XL Spectre (distressed) slide witch is my favorite config out of all the variations so. Thursday my now 2nd favorite OWB - Tulster's Countour holster arrives as that's finally available for the XM and it shipped fast - even the black multicam. Ordered it Sunday and it's arriving Thursday. I alread have one for the XL's and it's outstanding. So holster drama aside the XM is worth it. The Icarus grip modules are nice and have a pic rail. Early reports said they scratched too easily so hopefully that's been addressed.
Well you don't have to wait for a frame to fit the P365XL JUST INSTALL THE X-MACRO GRIP MODULE AND BUY A 17 ROUND MAG. It's as simple as that, I know I did it. In fact I have installed the X-MACRO GRIP MODULE ON MY SMALL P365 ALL I did was to trim the dust cover back so it's flush with the front of the slide, that's a simple 15 minute JOB. Putting the X-MACRO.grip module on any of the p365's really changes the shooting by having more grip to hold. I have the X-MACRO GRIP MODULES ON ALL 4 of my p365's including my P365 SPECTRE COMP. This was a great move by. Sig!!!!
Had the original 365 and XL. Personally, prefer the 365 slide with the XL frame (the X before the X came out), and looking to get the 17rd mag from the macro. Great video!
@@dg8676 If you want iron sight options a OG 365 with a swapped out XL grip is a good bet, but won't have the optic cut if you want to go that route (will cost extra to get milled). OTOH, the 365X comes as optic sight ready, but has fewer iron sight options.
Great review! Picked one up last week and have shot it twice - 200 total rounds. Not sure if it's worth needing over XL for the price but my grouping was a little tighter with faster shots. I don't have really big hands but the included Large back strap really gives it the feel of a full size with a compact body and allows me to fully grip with both hands. It's also noticeably louder but very controllable. I like it.
I got in touch with Wilson Combat about a potential grip module for the Macro, they said it's in the mix. I run their grip with my XL now and like it much better. I haven't shot the macro yet but thanks for reminding me I can save the money and wait for the grip to come out, and add the mag
Nice review, and great comparison! I'll make it short - I wish Sig would have made a basic 15 round version for those of us in restricted States like Colorado. A P365 slide length with no porting and a standard pic rail. If Sig used whatever magic to create a 17 round magazine in something that has a barely longer grip height than the P365XL, and then applied it to a 15 round grip - that would be incredible. If they split the grip height between the macro and the XL, it would be perfect for me. However, makes me wonder about the 15 round magazines for the original P365... Anyway, for now I'm still happy with my original P365. I swap between the 10 round mags for summer carry, and the 12 round mags for winter carry when I can cover the extra grip height easier with heavier clothes.
You can still buy the the x macro in Colorado. Who gives a shit about the 15 round rule, gun stores in my area simply don’t care and sell “high” capacity mags anyways
Enjoyed your review “subscribed and liked” would love to see you put the XL slide on the Macro grip and compare to see if the recoil is function of the larger grip or porting. I like my XL longer barrel and would like to just upgrade the grip mod if there is little difference. Look forward to more reviews and content.
The porting absolutely makes a difference. I put the macros barrel and slide on a 365xl Wilson combat grip module and it’s great. I sold the macros grip because it was too big for easy concealment in my opinion and I don’t have really big hands.
Nice review. Note that you prefer the trigger in your XL to the trigger in your new Macro - the VERY SIMPLE option is to switch the xl trigger into your macro. I have the original p365 with two different frames one with a picatinny rail addition and one with a Romeo green laser = I can switch frames using the trigger in either in about 30 secs to 1 minute. With the picatinny rail addition I use a light/laser. Additionally I sent my gun back to Sig and had them install the xl straight trigger. With a 12 round mag either frame will be the same length as the xl or x model. Also, with a Magguts addition, my 20 round magazines become short 12-round.magazines and my 12-round magazine becomes a 14-round mag providing me with 13 or 15 rounds loaded with one in the chamber. Additionally, I pocket carry with either the 10 or 12 round mags depending on the pocket sizes. I feel I have just about the perfect gun for my needs. Will consider adding a macro slide if Sig ever lowers the price for the slide only ( they quoted me a price of $525 for the macro slide itself, which I feel is way too much as the price quoted for an xl slide was approximately $225). At this time, I’ll stick with what I have and love it. Try exchanging your trigger module to get the one you want without having to buy another trigger module - it takes removing the slide and barrel and pushing one pin out to remove the entire trigger assembly from one to the other. Good luck.
My ‘pinky’ issues are with baby Glocks with extended mag base plates, both with the +1 and plain finger extensions. My pinky fell right into the gap between the sharp edge of the base and the grip frame. Glock 27s we’re the worst. I always went home with a blood blister on my pinky unless I curled it under the mag, like I do with the flat plates. Not so much of a problem with G43s. I recently fired a 365X, and handled a new Macro. I’m debating on whether to get the Macro and a standard 365 grip frame and mags for those occasions where concealment and capacity are both equally important, or a 365X, or a Macro and an original 365. I currently have a couple of G43xs and a 43, but the 365 trigger, even stock, is miles ahead.
Excellent video - I learned a lot. I'm still looking around for my 1st carry gun but I'm almost there to pick up the SIG P365X Macro especially after your video.
I wish the xmacro had the longer XL barrel. Add the houge rubber grip. It'll change the p365 series for you. The thicker grip and bigger finger bump thing (no idea what is called) to assist with drawing grip.
Excellent video! Just picked up a macro 2 weeks ago to replace my TP9 EliteSC for my EDC. Was nervous I should have went with the mete MC9 but the Sig is just amazing, easier to carry and shoots a treat.
Really enjoyed and appreciated this review. You helped me with my purchase decision, after being able to compare the pros and cons. You also earned a new subscriber.
this video was fantastic, sharing your journey with this line has been super helpful in making the decision to focusing on getting the Macro now for my summer carrying needs
If it was me...and if this is even possible...I would put the macro grip module on the 365 XL. That would give you the longer barrel, and better trigger....of course you would sacrifice the slide cuts on the macro slide...but those are about the only thing keeping me from buying the macro in the first place. Just swapping out the grip module doesnt really change the stock configuration....all the working parts are still the same.
Just purchased the P365 Macro. It is the bomb! I carried the 1st Gen M&P Shield with the mag extension. I always carry an extra mag as well. My capacity went from 17 rounds total to 35 rounds. With the Holosun 407K X2 red dot. It completes my needs for a high capacity, easily concealed 9 mm. Great video and if you missed any points, I don't know what they were.
Great review man, pretty sure this is the first video of yours I've seen. I just picked up the macro a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it for many of the reasons you stated.
The barrel of the xmacro is the 3.1 inch like a p365 but the slide is like the xl. This might be some of the oddness your seeing with the Ported slide. I'd rather have the longer barrel over the ports. I really wish the used the 3.7 barrel on the xmacro instead of marketing the ported barrell brings.
What a great comparison video. Thanks so much! I have a p365 (original), it's ok, removed the manual safety. Really like the XL version, but ran into the same fitment issues you mentioned. Love a couple of high dollar Agency Arms Builds on a G19 and G34, BUT ... last week I compared the X Macro to the XL and I may just have to get one of those.
Great job! Thanks for mentioning that the grip will NOT fit current holsters. For me, I don't have a problem with the XL grip, so I'm more interested in the slide. I was torn between porting my XL and getting the Macro upper. Looks like I'll be considering a comp...
Hey just got my macro. It's only about 800 so it's less than the spectre by a wide margin. It's comparable with the p365 xl grip with 12 rds. So for me that's why I got it. Buying the macro and a xl grip is cheaper than the spectre. Plus I don't link the gold.
For the past 5 years, the original 9m Shield has been my EDC. It has been a great gun but I am ready for an upgrade. I have been looking for over a year and tried several that just didn’t make me say….. Wow, this is the one! Glock 17 and 19, Springfield XD in 3 and 4 inch (both I own), Hellcat, S & W 2.0 and the Shield Plus and the original P365 (too small and too snappy). I belong to one of the local indoor gun ranges and my VIP membership allows me to rent hand and long guns for free so it is a good way for me to try many different firearms. So…. Today I shot the Sig XL and the X Macro. I liked the XL better than the hand guns I had previously tried but still didn’t have that, this is the one feeling. Well! That is until I shot the X Macro! I love everything about it! The length and width of the grip, the low recoil, the accuracy etc. It feels like it was made just for me! Now I am watching everything I can on it and am super excited to make the purchase. I am going back to the Sig website to configure the X Macro to make it a little more custom and cannot wait to get it.
I own a 365X and just bought the XMacro grip module. Then I bought the Radian Afterburner + Ramjet with the Radian Backstrap + Magwell/True 17 Base pad. I’ll switch over my trigger set and slide from my 365X over to the Macro frame and BAM! I can’t wait to receive all of the parts. They are all on their way.
Magguts makes a magazine kit that will solve that grip length problem for you. Their 14 round kit not only increases capacity but also extends the length just slightly. That and the Wilson Combat grip frame have solved all my hand fit issues with the 365 family. Also Zev makes a magazine button that help with that too.
I went with the ‘poor man’s Specter: 365XL, Magnaport, Mag Guts +2. Added a compact Holosun, and carry a pocket light (so no fixed weapon light-as concealment is more important for my use). , and (for me)… coming from a 320 X-compact… it absolutely ROCKS! Might look at the macro grip module, but more likely just a few Macro mags and filler plate as my additional ammo. FWIW, only thing you should be feeling is unburnt powder. If it’s jacket, youve got bigger problems.
I’ve got the P365 which I converted to a P365X with optic. Also have the P365XL w/ optic. At smaller dude and those carry easier on warm weather w T-shirts and shorts. Got Xmacro for colder weather season. At a bit worried about printing and not many holsters out yet.
You had me at "I purchased this with my own money that my wife let's me have for my monthly allowance If I'm a good boy." Thought it was just me. Good vid.
I Actually went over to Tombstone Tactical here in my local area at Phx Metro center today to look for a Beretta A300 and during my time there I was shown this SIG Macro… 🤔Wow, what a nice system sig has provided. I may pick it up down the road as it was very nice in ergonomics, capacity and with sight options. - Glockman
Get the mcarbo short stroke flat trigger for your 365s,i got that and a Icarus grip for my 365 and it made a huge difference. Also added a bigger tail on it and regular rail.
Answered my biggest question ..if the 365XL barrell will fit in the Macro..so sad that it doesn’t. Would have loved to get the gold barrell and have it show thru the compensator ports (some pimp ish) but no…dang!!
Great review!!! Subbed. I wanted to love the p365 series but they always felt small in my hands so I went xcompact spectre. Hadn't seen a macro yet to be able to handle it in store but looking forward to it
Mann this was one of the best videos I have ever seen on a gun period, I did the same thing you did , I waited , cause I had a 43x with shield arm mags and wanted a upgrade and when this came out I purchased one !! 😂
Thank you for sharing, I have the same issue with my first 365 and thinking to upgrade to XL now I will check out the new micro...save time thanks for sharing your amazing talents
Lots of detailed info. I own a P365 and P365XL. One thing he did not point out (that other reviewers have) is that the slide gets very hot. Don't know if is a deal breaker, but definitely, you need to watch out for handling the Macro after you put many rounds down range.
I never understood why anyone wants a compensator on a CCW. Muzzle flash blind at night and powder spraying your face in case of CQC shot but that’s the beauty of choice! Now if I’m tagging 50yd plates I’ll use one all day and a red dot. Thanks for the content!
Agree, really made sense. I've watched a lot of Sig reviews and this has been the best so far. Hope he does more comparisons of the same brands like this one. Also some where he shoots them all.
When I save up enough I’m buying the Icarus precision ACE 365 X Evo grip, I need something slightly bigger for my base 365 for reloads but other than that my smaller hands handle micro compacts better than full size, I’m more accurate and quicker
Companies other than streamlight and sig made accessories for the rails. So now, they need to make a grip module with a sig rail. Part of the appeal was that the 365 was right at 1" width. The mag well flare on XL took that to 1.1". Xmacro they say is still 1.1", but seems wider. I'd also like to see grip module for the XL with changeable back straps. My only real complaint is that the front to rear grip measurement isn't long enough.
The built in comp was genius. They are no doubt proven to help shoot flatter and stay on target as well as get simultaneous shots off more rapidly. It would only help you in a life or death situation. Fifty extra bucks to increase my percentages of hitting my target in a life or death situation is cheap for me.
...and it makes perfect sense that the jacket still grinds on the grooves and rifling of the barrel before it leaves the barrels thus a vertical minute fragmentation as oppose to just concussion. Great analysis. Thanks.
Since extra 17 round mags are NOT available until next year I modified the 15 rounders I have for my P 365X so they will fit my P 365X Macro. All you have to do is cut down the long baseplate .... easy peasy!
I really like the concept of this gun but, don’t like the comp side. I really don’t like gas and debris in my face and eyes in hip shooting or in closed areas, i.e., cars, home etc. So, if it’s possible to order a Sig P365x-Macro with the P365xl barrel and slide? That way you have the best of both worlds. Longer barrel, Reticle, Red Dot Sight ready, non-comp slide, replaceable back straps and large capacity. I’ve been a Glock guy and was thinking of ordering a Glock 43x MOS but it’s lacking the capacity. The Sig P365x-Macro seems to solve this problem if you can spec. order. What’s your thoughts? Nice video. Thanks
cool shades what brand? good review thanks much i was waiting for this type of review. i liked your reviews so much i subscribed solely of your format of review ..well done
That allowance line slayed me 😂
I got mine as well for being a good husband and she added optics, lights, belts, T1 holster as well. might have I probably been a good husband ^_^.

Great choice in music. I own a 365Xl and love it. It's very accurate and I use an extended magazine.
Awesome review. I have new 365X. Now im torn on trading up to Macro. Loved ur facts u pointed out. Thanks Vinny
Why would you want 18 rounds for cc, to big?
I wish the xmacro had the longer XL barrel.
Add the houge rubber grip. It'll change the p365 series for you. The thicker grip and bigger finger bump thing (no idea what is called) to assist with drawing grip.
I may try the hogue for my macro . I have tons of hogues
Excellent video! Just picked up a macro 2 weeks ago to replace my TP9 EliteSC for my EDC. Was nervous I should have went with the mete MC9 but the Sig is just amazing, easier to carry and shoots a treat.
Seriously dope intro and great review! Answered a lot of my questions.
Thanks! That was such a thorough review and comparison. Your sense of humor definitely cinched the like and subscribe.
I’m running the macros barrel and slide on a 365XL Wilson Combat grip. Love it. Sold the Macors grip.
That's the way to go! The WC XL grip is incredible. Especially with the magguts +2 conversion for the 12 round mags.
@@BinaryPun yes. I’ve essentially stopped looking at other carry guns. I do wish the trigger were a hair lighter but that’s a quibble.
Really enjoyed and appreciated this review. You helped me with my purchase decision, after being able to compare the pros and cons. You also earned a new subscriber.
Just the kind of review I was looking for. My new go to channel for reviews!
this video was fantastic, sharing your journey with this line has been super helpful in making the decision to focusing on getting the Macro now for my summer carrying needs
Just subbed. Great review. Also congrats on the arrival of your third child.
New sub, great review. The comped slide definitely reduces muzzle rise a bit.
This might honestly be my favorite intro to a video ever. I just pop by sometimes to watch it again 💀
Well done sir.
Shooting montage in the beginning was sick dude keep it up. Good review.
Kept me focused from beginning 2 end. Great video
Well the opening music is being added to a playlist.
Review was also informative despite me indecisively having watched 10 reviews on this gun so far.
Beautiful job with video. Very well put together in the intro
Great review. Thorough and concise.
I think you did a great job with this review. Especially for a small channel. Keep it up!
I’m happy to see positive comments here about the Wilson Combat grip. I just ordered one for my XL.
@@fallofshadows2209 They're incredible! Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.
Best comparison video on the tube
I went with the ‘poor man’s Specter: 365XL, Magnaport, Mag Guts +2. Added a compact Holosun, and carry a pocket light (so no fixed weapon light-as concealment is more important for my use). , and (for me)… coming from a 320 X-compact… it absolutely ROCKS! Might look at the macro grip module, but more likely just a few Macro mags and filler plate as my additional ammo. FWIW, only thing you should be feeling is unburnt powder. If it’s jacket, youve got bigger problems.
Just need the Wilson Combat grip module!
There are a few very minor differences inside the fcg I noticed when doing a trigger spring kit on mine. But very negligible.
I’ve got the P365 which I converted to a P365X with optic. Also have the P365XL w/ optic. At smaller dude and those carry easier on warm weather w T-shirts and shorts. Got Xmacro for colder weather season. At a bit worried about printing and not many holsters out yet.
@North jersey Kev the XL shoots flatter and less snappy. Prefer to concealed carry the X.
I’m going to put the macro slide assembly on my small P365. I can’t wait. Just found your channel. I love it. Sub’d
The optics cut is great but I want the xl barrel in the gun. Wish I could toss the xl barrel into the macro slide
Great comparison, thank you.
- Glockman
I am perfectly happy with my 365 xl and it will continue to be my edc
This was amazing, thank you. Got my first handgun, p320c and am obsessed with it. X-macro is my next
Well done. Kicking around IWB full size or 10 rd. pocket carry size. Very informative. Thank you. I subscribed.
I am 1 minute 20 seconds into this and he’s still firing the goddamn gun… you’re a real cool man…
Get the mcarbo short stroke flat trigger for your 365s,i got that and a Icarus grip for my 365 and it made a huge difference.
Also added a bigger tail on it and regular rail.
Answered my biggest question ..if the 365XL barrell will fit in the Macro..so sad that it doesn’t. Would have loved to get the gold barrell and have it show thru the compensator ports (some pimp ish) but no…dang!!
Just upgraded from my G43 for carry. Going shooting tomorrow. I already love it
Great review!!! Subbed. I wanted to love the p365 series but they always felt small in my hands so I went xcompact spectre. Hadn't seen a macro yet to be able to handle it in store but looking forward to it
Good job on this comprehensive comparison video.
Dude this was a great video. Well done man.
Sig just came out with the P365 x macro Tac Ops, which is basically a xl slide and barrel on the x macro frame. Which one would you buy?
You could try the Empire Katana Magwell for you 365XL to avoid the mag dropping issue.
Best video I’ve seen with this gun, I’ve watched it like 4 times lol
Lots of detailed info. I own a P365 and P365XL. One thing he did not point out (that other reviewers have) is that the slide gets very hot. Don't know if is a deal breaker, but definitely, you need to watch out for handling the Macro after you put many rounds down range.
I assume that’s only on the Comp version. The regular XMACRO shouldn’t get any hotter as it uses the same 3.7” barrel and slide as a 365XL.
Great review man! This is exactly the comparison I needed to see.. Im Subscribed! 👍
another factor could be that ported barrels are illegal in some states, while ported slides are compliant.
I never understood why anyone wants a compensator on a CCW. Muzzle flash blind at night and powder spraying your face in case of CQC shot but that’s the beauty of choice! Now if I’m tagging 50yd plates I’ll use one all day and a red dot. Thanks for the content!
Very good review! Good point about the ported barrel and frame fragmentation kick back.
Dude!!😂...
The 2min "intro" was AWESOME!!!!! 👍👍🔥
I am leaning towards getting this XL Macro as my EDC. Thanks for the review. New subscriber.
Check out the 365X first. I ignored it for a long time and just picked it up and love it
Go away scammer!
This guy watches John Wick movies every night before he goes to bed. Still an awesome video jokes aside. Keep up the great work!
The built in comp was genius. They are no doubt proven to help shoot flatter and stay on target as well as get simultaneous shots off more rapidly. It would only help you in a life or death situation. Fifty extra bucks to increase my percentages of hitting my target in a life or death situation is cheap for me.
Ive never seen a bearded lady with so many complaints and finding issues. You must be a joy deciding what and wear to eat
I have the P365 which gives me a grip with 1.5 fingers and the P365XL which gives me 2.5 fingers on the grip. They are great for pocket carry though.
Damn how do you only have 5k subs…Great video
...and it makes perfect sense that the jacket still grinds on the grooves and rifling of the barrel before it leaves the barrels thus a vertical minute fragmentation as oppose to just concussion. Great analysis. Thanks.
No
Copper jackets are soft and conform to the rifling
