When I'm out shooting it's hard to keep the thought of how much each shot costs out of my head but when I see the images I forget all about the money! Such an underrated camera!
Fuji makes some great lenses. With a large negative like with my GW690 and GSW690 I get great images that can make large prints and much more portable and faster than my 4x5. Panoramic kit would be interesting to try out some day. It probably needs some masks made for viewfinder to aid composing. That would save costs in film compared to cropping 6x9 images. I think film cost is about 10-15€ per roll and developing similar. I develop myself at fraction of the cost. It is not that difficult, even for slide films. (and extremely cheap and simple for b&w).
Man do i have a lifehack for you. i have the earlier version of this camera and was thinking of a way to save money on film. Since this camera has a double stroke film advance and it's 6x9, this makes it possible to block off a quarter of the image window on each side and use it as a 6x4.5 single stroke camera or a 6x9 double stroke interchangeably.
Congratulations on your Fujica GL690 purchase. I shoot with a Fujica GSW690iii that I love.

I remind myself that it is less expensive than my 4x5 inch view camera.
@@Narsuitus That is a very good point! I'll keep that in mind!
I've got the GW690 and it's a heavy beast to walk around with ( holding it in your hand ).
