Iroh is a fantastic example of humility. He knew that guy was being a jerk to him but ofc he acts like the bigger person and turns the cheek. What a great example he always sets for zuko 🥲
To be the bigger person and turn the cheek is wise and the right choice but him calling the guy a kind man was kinda ridiculous lol he absolutely was not. So idk why he said it
The zuko scene motivation was actually rather simple, he saw that that dude had twin blades when he was insulting Iroh and Blue Spirit has twin blades normally, but obviously zuko left them behind. At the end of the episode Zuko has stolen that guys blades, so he can be the Blue Spirit again when he wants/needs it.

After hearing him go on about his honour literally every episode of season one, I'm really not sure where the idea he wouldn't comes from.

I get that the long title might seem off-putting at first, but trust me, it's worth it. Many reactors, initially hesitant because of the name, have found it to be one of the best shows they've watched. If you're unsure, maybe start with the openings to get a feel for it. The story is engaging, the characters are fantastic, and it's full of unexpected twists and heartwarming moments. It would be amazing to see your reactions to this gem!

0:25 - even as a long time fan I often forget how young Azula is supposed to be. I think it's in no small part due to her voice actor, who does an absolutely amazing job, but definitely doesn't sound 14.
IMO it was a weird writing choice to have her be 14 when the character looks, talks, behaves, etc like a 20+ year old. She even fights and strategizes like a seasoned war veteran. It would have been a better writing choice to have her be the firstborn ultra-gifted one who got spoiled, and then Zuko was born later and got the short end of the stick. It would have also made sense when Zuko recalled his father telling him "Azula was born lucky. I was lucky to be born."

its fun how each bending style fire, earth, air, and water are connected to a very physical and real physical or mental technique. for example, when aang learns firebending he was told he needs to learn restraint to master it. to learn earth bending he needs to learn neutrality and centeredness where you can be complete stable like earth and THEN take highly intentional action and its sort of reflected in how like cut and precise each earth bending movement is. its all great. such a good show.

Ange loves Waterbending: wait until you see it's ultimate form, season 3 is coming, just sayin' and it's a schooking moments in the Avatar universe for anyone who watched Avatar!
