In the end, Rollo was what every Viking wished he could be. A feudal lord who gained Title (a massive one at that), a wife, and an alliance with the most powerful ruler in post Roman Europe.

I wish there would have been some sort of result of Ivan and Harold not holding up their end of the deal with all of those pelts and what not. Like rollo happens to come and avenge the death of “his son” or something.
I personally did not care for the portrayal of old Rollo. It felt like Clive Standen was really overselling it and the performance really took me out of the scenes he was in. Don’t get me wrong I love Viking Rollo and early days Count but Old Rollo just felt bad.
If you ask me there should of been no reason for him to come back after the voyage to Spain with Bjorn and the rest. All he did was shit on his former family by betraying them for his nephews he barely knew and spit on Ragnar with the whole "Bjorn is my son" hickory doo. Then he feels pity for himself after severing any ties he had left with Bjorn and Lagertha.

I think one of the most immersive details the writers did in this series was change Rollo’s accent the longer he stayed in Francia
