I love how he's genuinely invested in Ivar as a character, it's HIS character, he owns the personality and the attitude of Ivar. He genuinely feels proud because to him its more like something he's passionate about rather than just a role. I think fans of the show love Alex and Ivar more now that they have witnessed these interviews and met Alex more personally, because they recognise his talent and how he goes from a puppy like attitude full of happiness and mischief to a crippled killer with the mind of a genius. There aren't enough young talented actors like Alex

When Radgar left I thought that was the end of Vikings and then Ivan the Boneless started to take over the show. Alex is brilliant in the part. Travis was electric in his role but Ivan is brilliant and the reason why I continued to watch the show.
Same with me. I thought I was done after Ragnar. If Ivar leaves the show I'm done.
The only reason I keep on watching because I have hopes to see this shit die. Meaning Ivar of course, props to the actor for a brilliant performance.
It's amazing how the most arrogant, frightening and brutal character in the show is so humble, attractive (personality wise) and borderline shy in real life.
Such contrasts between himself and his portrayed characters are one sign of a good actor. Looking forward to see what he does post Vikings.
Don't be afraid Ivar... don't be afraid.

Alex is THE BEST...no ego issues and must be great to interview (as he is great to listen to). He is a superb actor - I don't think anyone else could have played Ivar the Boneless as well as Alex has portrayed this vicious and unpredictable character. Superb.

During the quarantine I discovered Vikings and I love it. Alex portrays the character of Ivar the Boneless well! He undoubtedly has the most difficult task with not using his legs and his facial expressions are terrifying! Well played, Alex. I've heard many say the show went "downhill" after Ragnar left but I'm not in agreement. The rest of the cast continues to carry the story...especially Alex Hogh.
I agree. The show just changed, that's all. Ragnar couldn't live forever.......
I personally think that the show went downhill after Ragnar left, but not because of Alex nor other actors, but because of pitty scenario. Alex was great and Ivar was great too. But the last seasons were an absolute failure.

First round I didnt really understand Ivar (same as Ragnar) but after the second round of watching the whole episodes again 😁, I began to understand his character. It was really heartwrenching during his death scene, both times still crying. Beneath the fearless Ivar is a frightened & lonely Ivar. Superb acting Alex! 🖤

Uhhhh! This man has my entire heart ! First time l came across him was when Viking edits started appearing in my recommends … l watched an edit of Ragnar “ who wants to be king” scene and my eyes went straight towards a boy with a bowl haircut, sitting on the floor and who had a strange blue tinge in his eyes then he looked up at Ragnar and smiled and l thought WOW there really is something about this kid ! Even though he didn’t speak in that scene there was just something about his aura and they way he looked at Ragnar and the other actors .. which echoes what Alex said in the interview about having to act “ more “ with his eyes , facial expressions and body language…without him speaking you could already tell that he already had designs on that crown 👑.. Alex Høgh Andersen is a phenomenal actor , brilliant young man ! Thank you Alex for sharing your talent with world .

Looking into his eyes, I see madness :D He is such a great actor, I'd love to see more off-the-screen with him. Call me crazy, but if Vikings were to continue without Travis Fimmel, it would be starring this Alex and hopefully Alex L. as well :) They would make a whole new vikings spin-off by themselves. On a side note, I wonder if I'm alone in wondering if Travis will be featuring in anything soon; he is by far one of the greatest actors I've seen in my life.

He may have less facial hair than I do, but Alex Hogh Andersen is a remarkably smart, talented and articulate young man who looks something like what Johnny Depp looked like in the 1990's (except for the eyes) or what my father-in-law looked like when he came to Canada just after the Second World War (it's the slicked back hair and the cheekbones, and the rather unusual combination of dark skin and blue eyes) I think pretty much everyone knows who he is now!
Thank you for taking on this very unique and challenging role of Ivar the Boneless. It is a real pleasure watching you.

For someone with no acting lessons he’s a absolute natural. It’s hard to even tell he’s danish. I can barely hear an accent.
Megan Eastwood He did attend - as a teenager- a theatre called Eventyr teatret, where he was taught scene performance and all the basics. He has been in a couple of Danish tv shows and commercials... so he’s not that untrained as he keeps saying 😊 He was 11 the first Denmark saw him on TV 😊
