Season 2 could be about them training and plagueis watching on reporting back to his master and plotting to either kill them both or take one of them on as his apprentice to overthrow his master.
"Always two there are. No more, no less." Yoda always knew the Sith were in hiding. I find it odd people obsess over Qui-Adi Mundi's quote but never seem to connect the dots on what Master Yoda himself reveals to Mace Windu.
@@Exaldear my guess would be in Yoda's many centuries he crossed paths with a Sith Lord and apprentice and felt it best to keep it secret. Could have even happened in a season two of The Acolyte between Yoda and Plagius. Mace Windu also felt like his most trusted member of the Jedi Council so he probably entrusted him with the knowledge.
Well even though there's a rule of two we know the apprentices are always trying to overthrow their masters and training a potential apprentice(s) in the shadows
True, still think the rule of two is a big con/lie of the sith to have an advantage against the Jedi Think about it, I’m episode one there was palpatine, who was over maul and doku, who was over ventrus, that’s not just two
I've been a Star Wars fan for decades, and even though each movie/series has its flaws, I love what I get from them. Each one gives us a view into the SWU, and The Acolyte was the first to give us a flawed Jedi Order and how the dark side is carried in everyone. It was a really good series and I enjoy it for what I got out of it.
Yes this is what most people don’t get this series is told thru the views of the Siths and it makes sense because it a story of the siths , that’s why they think that the Jedi are liars
Perhaps that would explain why Osha and Mae never really felt like fleshed out characters, because they were duplicates, neither whole entirely while the other exists. The vergence may have been the pure will of the Force or the Force being bent to the will of one powerful enough to.
@@arianalikens5300 MY assumption has always been that he created Luke in secret to survive and take over for Palpatine one day and didn't tell Palpatine. I really enjoyed the Acolyte. The introduction into Osha/Mae was a unique perspective of the Star Wars universe. I’m hopeful for a season 2. They shouldn’t leave us hanging on sooo many cliffhangers.
To answer your question EV, being a SW fan since 4 was originally released but legit closet nerd for decades so didn’t allow myself the joy of comics, books and lore for fear of social death early on in life, yet have always been a fan and since come out ot the closet,🥁I loved the Acolyte. The lightsaber and non lightsaber duels were intense. I have rewatched them and episodes multiple times already. Not for nothing, Qimir’s performance is beyond stellar. Not gonna lie, when I saw him greet Osha in the apothecary in the earlier episode, I thought he’s not revealing all that there is to him. WOW what a difference in his internal twin. I’m impressed. I really hope they do a season2. There’s a lot to be revealed. Ya there’s some eh parts and the rest makes up for it.
I'm sure that you noticed that several visuals in the fight between may and osha symbolize the Ying and yang... Like literally if you pause the screen they look like the symbol... And the overhead shot was the same.
I think I Qimir is just a rouge Jedi, a ronin (a masterless samurai), that is why he is looking for an Apprentice/acolyte. The Plagueis scene is almost like an after thought so that we as viewers can get excited and ask for a season 2. Kinda sad that the more interesting characters Qimir and Sol are just side characters and one of them is dead.
Well, he did say he had a master, as well as mentioned he had a master in the order, so plageus is most likely his current master and may and osha are just being used to do the experiments palpatine tells anakin about in episode three
ive always held issue with the rule of two.. since the masters hardly seem to stop the apprentices from getting thier own before killing their master. they just seek the strongest apprentice, so i feel like at some points there might be multiple dark-users. but only 2 would be "sith". so plaegis watching him groom a replacement either as an apprectice for himself or to replace himself. is kinda the status quo. i feel like the pattern is always never just 1+1 but always 1+1+(1)
Instead of having multiple directors to film their own episodes, just pick one to do the series. Too many conflicting views and it showed in the series
@@Stormblessed440 I loved the story, how the jedis although a force for good, can be flawed, how their involvement in politic forced them to stray from their own ideals sending them on a darker path blindly. I also loved this about the story, everything is about perception. I also liked the huge amount of mini lore details that was pread everywhere, like how a Force nexus is an unsettling environnement that can mess Force users up. Sol clearly was affected by it to the point he could not see the line between Force intuition and his own emotion and deeply failed.
I know this isn't probably the best video to ask this but I don't wanna wait for a Marvel video. Could you please cover the Hit Monkey animated series? I Recently binged season 1 and 2 and that world seems so full of lore! Plssssssssssssss😂
I enjoyed it. I hope there's another season or that they're able to contextualize it in another. I think that this fandom, in particular, is tenuous, and sometimes unreasonably volatile. However, every form of media is subjective, and this series is not immune from it. Looking forward to season 2 of Ahsoka.
This is laying down the groundwork for how Anakin is going to be born... In the Legends continuity the birth of Anakin was a reaction by the force to Darth Plagues' experiments...
Wasn't it also mentioned by Dooku himself in tales of the Jedi that the Jedi Council is dismissing the possibility of a Sith Lord existing while being the cause of death of Qui-Gon leading to him leaving the order to Yaddle? So, is the Jedi actually aware of the Sith but just sweeping it under the rug out of fear any Jedi members would leave either out of fear of the Sith or to switch to the dark side?
I don't think this series is gonna get a second season. As much as i had high hopes for this series, it raised so many questions that never answered and has trampled over some established lore. This series did have great fighting tho
I think it was just a story about how the Jedi are flawed. It wasn’t just Ani but so many Jedi are pieces of shit with too much power. They aren’t all Obi-wan
I need a season two now!! I’d like to believe plagueis found the dead Qimir sensed his strength in the force and brought him back to life, but hide in the shadows and trained Qimir through the force and influenced him every step of the way.
I really didn’t think it left me with too many unanswered questions. I really think that I felt like I had actual resolution from that last episode, which is the opposite of how I felt with Ahdoka.
These were my favorite saber fights in the whole franchise tbh. I never really liked the showy spins from the prequels. The sol/qimir duel was just incredible. The series was a clear homage to crouching tiger hidden dragon, which is a great influence. The acting was incredible by pretty much everyone too. I do agree that as a mystery it wasn't the best, and the writing was inconsistent. I couldn't help but feel like if the twins were actually one character, the story could have been a little more interesting. It got a little too parent trap at times, and frankly they didn't have enough stuff for both characters to do, it was really just Osha's story. I think the whole medichlorian idea is dumb still, but star wars has doubled down on it a few times since the prequels so what can you do. The witches stuff is also pretty established by now so I didn't have a problem with that either. I really enjoyed watching it though, and I hope it gets another season, not sure how likely it will be. It would be cool to see the two if them form the knights if ren after the sith and the jedi mark them for death. Thanks for the video!
I just watched this episode and the season finale of the Boys. One set up a story with an amazing payoff at the end while the other just left us with more questions than answers.
I loved the acolyte. It shows us how well do you know someone. It makes you see that the Jedi where already suffering from pride and hubris and would lie and cover up. The role swap of Mai and Osha. All was not as it seemed. Also the torture of the Khyber crystal to make it a sith weapon was amazing never thought we would get to see that. Yes there is more story to tell and questions to answer,so I hope that there is a second season but over all I think it’s a great story.
The Acolyte is really good Star Wars. In fact, it's a natural successor to Lucas: Ambitious, thoughtful with a theme and morality it wanted to explore, interesting characters, fun moments, but also flawed in its execution. One thing is certain for me: Star Wars is better now than it was before The Acolyte. It's a win. Looking forward (hopefully) to another season.
I really liked it, and I hope that it does get renewed for a second season. I personally do not think any of the Star Wars last 6 films have been a perfect 10. They all have their issues but they also have great moments. Those great moments are what I would like to see going forward. Thanks as always for giving us such great reviews.
Outside all the extreme people for/against, the biggest complaint from logical people is the need for longer run times and/or more episodes to have time to flesh out all the details and issues needed to make this series awesome. Andor is a great example of how good these series can be but Andor had both long run times and more episodes. I really enjoyed the series with its enhancement of the lore…I’m definitely hoping for a S2 BRING IT 🙏🏻

THIS IS HOW PLAGUES is finding out about the way to make life right now...
This is how he got the idea to create Anakin … what I thought too
@@justicestylesHe didn’t create Anakin, technically. The Force created him in response to Plagueis messing with the force.
I was thinking maybe he’s the one who told the witches about Brendock/ creating life and the vergence almost as some experiment. (I mean since this series has already changed ages of characters. )
@@thehalfricanguyExactly. I actually think that maybe Plagueis is the one who taught the witches how to make the two girls.

I really loved it. I am hopeful for a second season focusing on Osha and Qimir and their sith training, as that is something we haven't really seen before. I'd give it a solid 8 because I think it stuck the landing. Season 2 could be more exciting now that all of the setup is out of the way.
Season 2 could be about them training and plagueis watching on reporting back to his master and plotting to either kill them both or take one of them on as his apprentice to overthrow his master.

Yoda always knew the Sith were in hiding. I find it odd people obsess over Qui-Adi Mundi's quote but never seem to connect the dots on what Master Yoda himself reveals to Mace Windu.
Would be nice to know how Yoda knew that, and why Mace wasn't shocked.
@@Exaldeari mean, the sith could have had the rule of 2 dating back to pre "extinction" so it could be common recorded history
True, still think the rule of two is a big con/lie of the sith to have an advantage against the Jedi
Think about it, I’m episode one there was palpatine, who was over maul and doku, who was over ventrus, that’s not just two
Seeing Plaguis was something I expected at the end of the episode, but that little tiny scene of him was so cool
Seeing him creep in the shadows was so good
Agreed, it was Plaguis all along 😂
Oh! So that's who that was!
(I'm posting this before seeing this video).
I believe the Qimir and osha will name their first child Ren , who they will train to start the order of the knights of Ren
The deception setup by the Sith is diabolical 😮🤔
I don't think Mother Aniseya intended to create twins, but was just attempting to create life and the force made them twins.
I don't think Mother Aniseya did, I think Darth Plagueis did.
@@Ultimate0ne i don't think he did...however i believe he created anakin
Perhaps that would explain why Osha and Mae never really felt like fleshed out characters, because they were duplicates, neither whole entirely while the other exists. The vergence may have been the pure will of the Force or the Force being bent to the will of one powerful enough to.
@@arianalikens5300 MY assumption has always been that he created Luke in secret to survive and take over for Palpatine one day and didn't tell Palpatine. And Palpatine killed him shortly after, so Anakin's existence went unknown to Palpatine. I don't know if this has been confirmed, but I've seen others assume Palpatine create Anakin, but it wouldn't make sanese to make him and then leave him to a desert planet as a slave.
@@johndoe6032So the official stance is that he did NOT create Anakin. It’s always been that Anakin was brought about by the will of the Force alone, in response to Plagueis trying and failing to create life.
Your theory is different than others and makes sense! Your theory that Qiamir is basically a wannabe sith is refreshing!

They better make a second season to finish this storyline, would be awesome if it ends with a flash forward showing plaguies meeting Palpatine
Enjoyed it overall. Fights were awesome. Really suffers from not being released in 2 arcs (1-4 & 5-8). Not everything needs to be episodic. As much as I loved andor, that also should've been released in arcs
I hope they will do a Season 2 cause we have a lot more things to explore here !!!
Hey - this is my first time watching your channel and usually I am all for individuality and personal opinion but a 7/10 👀 those Disney checks must be hitttting 🫡
Big question is: Is Tenebrous alive or just been killed and Plaguis has just found Qimirs little den
Either option is possible
Supposedly Plagueis is in his 20s here
I know in the Darth Plagueis was an apprentice to Darth Tenebrous during that time in his life
Quimeer says he has a master though, so plaggy was just avoiding being seen by osha to keep his existence as secretive as possible
It's a possibility
The Acolyte indeed showed us amazing fight choreographies and would love to see more in season 2!
Qimir wipes Maes memory**
Today was always covering things up. He didn’t tell the Senate about Maul. He didn’t tell Luke about Vader. He didn’t tell Luke about Leia.
Obi Wan?
@@marshsundeenYoda. Absolute horrendous typo
Yes, i think the same about them not knowing about plagues.
Instead of having multiple directors to film their own episodes, just pick one to do the series. Too many conflicting views and it showed in the series
That's not how TV directors work. They just shoot the script they don't have a say in what the story is.

Indubitably
No video on this getting canceled?
The finale made me want more.
What was your favorite part about it that makes you want more?

Yes. The Jedi believe these "Sith" were just dark Jedi or rogue Jedi using the darkside.
I really think that I felt like I had actual resolution from that last episode, which is the opposite of how I felt with Ahdoka.
im calling it now. Mae & Osha are gonna be star wars version of solid & liquid snake.
As long as season 2 is like episode 5 of this season, then I’ll watch it.
What was in your Disney Gift Basket?
I like the ending. I’m so happy to see Darth Plegas
There were some *EPIC* scenes and reveals..but it definitely left something lacking 🤔
You rated it 7/10.... 😂😂
I wouldn't give it a 7 out of 100.
I really liked it, and I hope that it does get renewed for a second season. I personally do not think any of the Star Wars last 6 films have been a perfect 10. They all have their issues but they also have great moments. Those great moments are what I would like to see going forward. Thanks as always for giving us such great reviews.
THANK YOU!!!! I been saying it's a Jedi mystery!!!! A good one at that because I wanna see more
YES!!! We haven't really had that yet in Star Wars and I think it's Really Cool that We now have a whole Series about it!
