      Excellent question, this video (at bottom) is one of many I've made that are about finding the Nim Tau state of mind and specifically to find a feeling in the back of your head where you reside there and stop worrying about what your body is doing. This is not easy when you're just trying to do the form or especially if you're rolling arms with somebody. It's too easy for your conscious mind to kick in and start trying to control what's going on. My balance exercises are really really useful for this and if you go back through my earlier videos, you'll find a number about walking on fences and also balancing sticks on your fingers. I think people often dismiss these videos thinking that they're not Wing Chun but the truth is they are fast track exercises to find that feeling. You can't balance unless you can enter that mind State and allow your subconscious mind to take over the balancing work. So once you can feel that mind You should practice switching it on when you're just sitting around watching TV or driving the car or whatever. It's a definite feeling in the back of your head. The next stage is where you tell yourself. basically your conscious mind, to sit still back there and whatever's happening in your body Don't try to leave that place in the back of your head and go out into the arms. Does that make any sense? I used to imagine that I had a little lounge chair in the back of my head and I would sit back there and look out the windows of my eyes as I was practising the forms. The next stage is when you are so aware of the difference between the two minds that you work on getting emptier and emptier and trying less and less. The secret is to feel that your arms are as light as feathers, and no matter what pressure put people on you Just ignore it. It doesn't matter if they collapse yours, arms or in inverted commas beat you just ignore it. What you want to do is believe that absolute softness is absolute strength. This might sound like a load of crap but when you experience it, it's quite aweinspiring. I first got it when a master was demonstrating amazing Mindforce on our group and he was crushing everybody's arms, and I've been listening to him so when I put my arm out I just did nothing, I literally stood there as if I was just reaching for an apple on a tree the master couldn't move my arm and was very impressed and he said how are you doing that When I told him he was more impressed and he said not many people worked that out for themselves. I just said I listen to everything you tell me and meditate on it and this is the obvious conclusion. Keep asking questions if you need more or just tell me how you go
