I saved this to watch later - and I'm glad I got around to seeing it. Your videos really have a deepness and sincerity to it that many others lack.

I love watching Sha’Carrie Richardson , the American sprinter . You can see it on her face when she runs. She’s not thinking about what she’s learnt or how she’s feeling. Look at her expression. There’s nothing there except the finish line. Love it. Good post Dave 👍🏻

Thanks mate😊 I had a feeling you would like it and agree with it. Very interesting book and majorly cool to get total confirmation from people not connected to our art.

Have to see the target first.

True. I always aim for the centre of the body around about the solar plexus, or the point of the chin, which is pretty much what you do with a weapon as well. The way I've been taught, we think inside the body as well, usually at the spine.

@@WingChunMindForce that’s what gave you the “confidence” to go right in. You saw that open moment.

@@americanshortfistkungfu interestingly in that book I'm talking about, the golf pro. gets him to hit heaps of balls with his eyes closed, and he says that he hit perfect shots that hit the target. It's hard to believe but the guy reckons it's real.

@@WingChunMindForceit is. I hit better shots with my eyes shut than open. Makes no sense, but happens to be true.

I like the natural feeling. I hear that. I have really good balance and footwork but the wing Chun footwork ain’t natural to be pigeon toed and move around with internal rotation like that. The Sifu I train with always pulls me up on my footwork. I’m starting to think he is not that good of a teacher even if he is high level in his own wing chun skill. I’m sure Wong Sheung Leung wasn’t a great teacher either despite his skill. Yip man was obviously a very good teacher and new how to get the best from his students
