Willow’s cooking Show-Hawaiian Oxtail Soup

We love Oxtail soup in Hawaii! Our version is a flavorful broth scented with star anise, chinese 5 spice, and blanched peanuts. This recipe is done in the Instant pot which cuts the traditional cooking time from 2-3 hours to about an hour! I visited Hawaii big island for Xmas holiday of 2021 and I loved it … I learned a lot, big island is rich in culture and I can’t regret the time I spent there… I loved zippy’s oxtail soup they were the best in town. The only thing that shocked me was when using the GPS for road navigation, it will either lead you to someone private property or dead end. I came to realize it was because of lava that erupted and covered the entire road, sometimes they are able to move the lava and sometimes they would build another road; and so the GPS still uses the the road which was currently there. Hawaii is a cool place! I visited as a guest then I became Ohana…I will definitely Visit again! Mahalo!
