Manny Pacquiao - Is a Filipino politician and former professional boxer. Nicknamed "PacMan", he is regarded as one of the greatest professional boxers of all time. Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing and has won twelve major world titles. He was the first boxer to win the lineal championship in five different weight classes, the first boxer to win major world titles in four of the eight "glamour divisions." In July 2019, Pacquiao became the oldest welterweight world champion in history at the age of 40, and the first boxer in history to become a recognized four-time welterweight champion after defeating Keith Thurman to win the WBA (Super) welterweight title.

I'm back everyone! Here is a different look at one of the greatest fighters of all time. While the legendary Manny Pacquiao is most renowned for his incredible offense and straight left hand, his defense and footwork often get underrated because his offense was so good. His ability to jump in and out of distance combined with his fearsome straight left and combinations destroyed many opponents. Admittedly there were times when Pacquiao got careless and hit but I do think he is quite underrated in this area so that's what I wanted to showcase here. Pac Man at his best! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod
Mannys defense was definitely underrated. He’s so unorthodox that his defensive moves go over the majority of viewers heads. They don’t know what they are watching
Manny Pacquiao always had very underrated defense. He was an ATG counter-puncher. Hope he gets reevaluated like Duran was.
Finally a defensive highlights of Manny pacquiao
You watch him again and it kind of makes you laugh at all the fighters over the years they've tried to compare this guy too. He was DIFFERENT. DESTROYED top shelf competition in multiple decades!! And came back from several setbacks.
That makes him the goat in my book
One of the greatest fighters of all time. He moved up 8 weights and won belts. He was great in defense and offense. He was such a great fighter. He's a bit underrated for what he has done.
He debuted at straweight. Skipped superflyweight and bantamweight. That makes it jumping 12 weilght classes.
Some says he's a weight drainer,but yeah,catchweigt cool guy.
@@TheNeorch Words from beta dudes. Pac was still 10-15lbs lighter than most of his opponents during fight night. Wats ur excuse? Hahahaha
@@secondwindproductions5157 nah,i'm just saying that since everyone says how Manny always dried up his opp's with rehydration clause, but yeah, he's still lighter so that's alr👍
I’ve always like to see Manny fight, his footwork and angles are impeccable most certainly one of the greatest fighters of all time, good work Hanzagod.
I missed the old days when our nabourhood watched to his fight when i was a kid, so nostalgic and iconic Pacman is
I like how pragmatic Pacquiao’s defence is. Not very textbook but he just does what’s necessary to not get hit:
Hands up.
Jump out of distance.
Roll under punches.
Head off of centre line when punching.
Move off after punching.
It’s the kind of instinctive defence you only get from lots and lots of competitive sparring and fights
Yes, knowing it took Marquez, one of the purest and best counter punchers of all time, four fights to figure out and time that knockout punch. Pacquiao was one tough puzzle to solve for sure.
One of the grestest to ever do it. Youre right, its the suttle movements and intricacies that olaced Pac-Man into firing position from awkward angles for the opponents. I cannot count the times I would jump back 10 or 15 seconds just to rewatch what he had just done.
Manny Pacquiao is just showing this offence not this defense this video proof that manny also showing this Amazing defense
its sad that we have to wait for 30_40 years so that nostalgia people can see him as one of the best boxers in history
Hanza is my religion😎🥊
Swarmer + boxer-puncher + counter-puncher = MANNY "PACMAN" PACQUIAO 🇵🇭🥊⚡️
Finally! A Pacquiao defense highlight video. I haven't found any real good ones in years. Thanks again haNZAgod
People don't understand that Pacquiao is pretty slick. He's a boxer puncher. His work against Dela Hoya was masterful. His defense and angles.
100%
Look at Pacquiao using his shoulder to stop oncoming punches as he moved back. I loved when GGG did that too.
Finally, an underrated video displaying the Defense and counter punching of pacquiao. Next, a donaire defensive skills video would be great.
Pacquiao's greatest defensive maneuvers happened in the ring.
The mayweather guy's most impressive defensive maneuvers came at the negotiating table, where he avoided the most legitimate challenges.
I saw youtube channel discussing pacs defense stating it was developed through roach learning alongside Eddie Futch with Marlon Starling. Catch and counter. Move when you need to move and block when you need to block. Uses of shoulder rolls, off angle cuts, high guard. Even footwork to minimise impact. You don't make it this long in the game without using some sort of defense. Amazing as always, HanzAgod!
So fast with his feet in and out in and out
One of the best of the last decade (also has the prettiest trunks)
amazing work, as always! I didnt see Pac as a defensive fighter, but this really showcases his range and timing!
Great job. I saw Pacquiao feinted Broener with his right jab, then nailed him with a good left hand. Keep it up.
One of the Top Ten GOATs
Not even close to top 10
@@JustinG1978who’s your top ten?
@@elel2608 tough question and it’s subjective, but off top of my head. SRR, Armstrong, Louis, Pep, Ali, Greb, Benny Leonard, Duran, Gans, Moore. Modern since 1980. Hagler, Pea, Hearns, SRL, Holyfield, RJJ, Sanchez, Hopkins, Oscar, Morales
@@JustinG1978
Manny’s career destroys most of those guys’ and I’ve studied most of their careers.
Tell me who has beaten the top guys in 7 divisions (I don’t include 154 because Margarito wasn’t the top guy or close to it). Tell me who has been a lineal champ in 5 divisions. Tell me who has beaten the top guys in 4 of the original divisions. Tell me who has been a champ in his teens, twenties, thirties, and forties and who has had the same longevity as Pac (Duran might’ve have fought longer but he didn’t fight the top guys like Manny did and win belts like he did). Tell me if any of these guys was the youngest Flyweight champ ever and eventually became the oldest Welterweight ever. And tell me who has done this while beating HOF caliber, PFP actively ranked dudes in maybe 4-5 divisions.
I mean, you don’t have to have Manny as the GOAT but I just have to 🤨 when you say he’s not close to the top ten. The only person who has done similar things as him was maybe Sam Langford.
@@elel2608 SRR was the welterweight and middleweight champion simultaneously. Armstrong was a three division world champion at the same time when there was just 8 divisions. Manny climbing from a little guy is impressive, but he needed PEDs. Manny at 147 is not beating SRL, Hearns, Duran, Napoles, Trinidad etc…
Prime Pac was probably the most dominant fighter ever.
Pacquiao is like Mike Tyson. Both have styles that are tough to emulate or mimic, it’s signature to their unique athletic ability and style.
🧢
@@bossplayermfs5972yeah you are.
@@mattstillwell6330 Not according to your 6itchboy.
@@bossplayermfs5972it’s not
Huh?
Here before “PacQuiAo wAs a BrawLer wiTh nO DeFenSe” nerds who can’t answer the question how a man with no defense could constantly beat actively ranked PFP ranked fighters through the weights.
100%
Honestly, he’s probably boxing’s second greatest athlete, after Roy Jones. (Keep in mind, I said “athlete” not boxer, though he is up there)
I'd say Pac is the better athlete to Roy too. His speed and reflexes aged a lot better than Roy Jones.
@@Punchout101 True true. His ability to bring is power up weight classes was ridiculous too
It must be a nightmare being on the camera crew for Pacquiao fights 😂he is everywhere.
Goat video 🐐
Great vid as always Hanza! Could we see a video on his combinations? People often talk about his hand speed but I think he's probably the best combination puncher of all time.
I've got some other Pac videos already highlighting his combinations just type his name in on my channel and they'll pop up.
Oh wow. He is great to watch. Superb skill, footwork and speed
🥊superb highlights of pac man’s great work in the ring ❗️🎉👏👏
Video got a like before I even watched it. I knew it would be a good watch!
Manny Pacquiao may be our generation's Sugar Ray Robinson. There hasn't been anyone in boxing history remotely similar to him. He's the greatest boxer pound for pound of the 21st century. I don't believe there will be another one like him, unless the guy cheats and uses PEDs, steroids, etc.
Thank you Hanza ‼️👍 Can you do a video on the Jab of Winky Wright ?💯
🇵🇭🐐🐐🐐
watching MP feet. he's always balanced. amazing
Southpaw slugger with elusive movement endless stamina he's a human typhoon
Beautiful man 👍✌️
Underrated Defensive Boxer ever
Pacquiao had great in and out movement, and then he would hit you with a blistering flurry of punches.
that left cross was a MISSILE
Good solid defense
Everytime Pacman counter attacks:
Guilty Gear Announcer: COUNTER!
Hanza, can you do Pac's parries? Imo it was his most underrated defensive tool, man was a genius at misdirecting punches.
There's quite a few nice ones in here. I think I'm happy with this being my definitive Pac defense highlight, if I cover him again it'd be his lower weight class reigns because people aren't as familiar with him down in those divisions.
@@hanzagod Alright, will be waiting for that instead my man
Glad to see you do a highlight of Manny's defense. Most channels just mainly focus on his offence. Any chance you can also do a highlight of Barrera's defense?
Ridiculous locomotion and athleticism.
please make one about chatchai sasakul , fastest opponent pacman fought
Definitely one for the future for sure. Next up will be the fantasy fight between Marciano and Frazier, Alycia Baumgardner and a Larry Holmes highlight past his prime but expect it after those.
@@hanzagodWill there be a Donaire Jr Defense/counters highlight vids in the future?
@@GutsAndGlory734 Probably not but you never know I have over 1000 videos at this point, new ideas can be hard to come by!
@@hanzagod nice, sasakul was a wonderful flyweight, only person to defeat yuri arbachakov
✅🦾💯
Looking at this, Bivol's defense is kinda like Pacquiao's.
Hey Hanza, can you make another video on Marcos Maidana? His entertaining style seemed like that of a relentless brawler, but he was much more than just a brawler. He was very technical, learning a lot and improving a lot under Robert Garcia. It was just too bad when he retired when he was probably at his prime against Mayweather. I think his ring iq was very underrated. I believe he was even in his prime whenever he fought Mayweather in their second meeting. You can check out this video to see some of his skills that he developed when he fought mayweather. ruclips.net/video/HRICQRAaElM/видео.html
I think that vid perfectly demonstrates the new skills that Maidana picked up later in his career, there's not really much more I could add to that.
@@hanzagod ah i see, well have a great one
You have to give Mayweather some credit due to the greatness of Pacman!
А где Мейвезер???
