it came out great! good job I really like it. I have all kinds of 3d printers and Airbrush paints..... yet I don't really do any desktop models printing and painting, however, watching this enchanting video kinda makes me want to set up a small corner of the shop for that, "Kinda" been the keyword lol
This paint job is amazing man, I have been watching for years and the progress in your painting skills is crazy; I absolutely love this and I really hope you are proud of this one! I would love to see more projects like this in the future.
I love the animated style maquettes from the Gentle Giant Clone Wars line. I wish this matched up better stylistically to those. I wish I had your painting skills...... I'm great at printing things out but Not so good finishing them unless they are just one color lol. Not sure if your printing the base because you want to or maybe for continuity but I would check out hobby lobby or Michael's for a wooden base. Just seems like a waste of resin IMO.
Well I printed the base in filament so it’s not expensive. I’ve used the wooden bases from Michael’s before and they can be great, but they only come in limited sizes and shapes, so depending on the project they may not fit that well. And in any case I’m not really going out these days so it’s not an option right now
Just saw your video about the life sized jabba what did you end up using to fill in the gaps (im new to printing so I'm currently only making miniatures but I'm just curious in case i want to make something life sized latter)
Cults3d.com, myminifactory.com and others. You can try using the Yeggi search engine I mentioned. But you might also consider paying for models. If you find a designer you like they will often have a Patreon where you can get a lot of good models for not that much money each month
I strongly doubt people will do stuff like this 30, 40 years from now with the Disney era Star Wars but just might be doing it with the Lucas Original Trilogy then...!
Well you never know. People who grew up with the prequels seem to be pretty fond of them today, so maybe people who are kids today will feel the same way about the Disney movies. But I do think the sheer number of movies and TV shows we have in the 21st century makes it difficult for anything to become a cultural phenomenon like Star Wars was in the 70s and 80s.
@@MightyJabbasCollection I liked the prequels - considering them 85% star wars at worse. Loathed the Disney sequels. IMO the first Clone Wars - the animated ones - was well worth 'star wars' standards. IMO again Lucas should have made new Star Wars like the 70s never ended, including an "Alien Disco" - just better monsters, space flight scenes, etc. using more $ and modern technology.
Love the style of this statue. Reminds me of Celebrity Deathmatch somehow. We can see who won the match. :)
Lovely cartoon style, reaally enjoyed the painting progress to see it come alive!
For cold spray paint, let your spray cans soak in a bucket of hot water for a few minutes, shake, re-soak, repeat & spray.
Thanks I actually did warm them up like that, but I still had to spray in a very cold garage
He finally got a sponsor congratulations man your going places man good job

Great job completing this seemingly very challenging piece to assemble, fine tune and paint.

Dude your a freakin brilliant painter!
Totally Awesome Rad
Fantastic work.
That was amazing!
I swear I'm not even a fan of star wars, but I always enjoy the videos.

Is this your first sponsership? Pretty awesome for a "smallish" youtube channel!
It’s the first aside from the sponsorship of the life-size Jabba project from Maker Geeks (they supplied the filament).
Wow it looks amazing I recently got the black series jabba the hut I'm waiting for it for my birthday
Amazing

Hey buddy. On your skulls. Can you do a Mandalorian Mythosaur??? If so. Can you paint weather one and make it big like the tauntaun??? Thank you.
I could, yes. Not sure if I will, but it’s a good idea
You should make a super oversized Kenner Jabba the Hutt that like is like as big as real size 🤪🤣
Nice one..👍👍
yo, where is the 3d printed R2? I saw your vid and that’s why I bought a 3D printer😂
It’s still on the back burner. Some day I will finish it!
Just saw your video about the life sized jabba what did you end up using to fill in the gaps (im new to printing so I'm currently only making miniatures but I'm just curious in case i want to make something life sized latter)
Hey I love this design! I am currently printing this and wanted to know which 3D printer you use?
Whatever happened with painting the life-size Jabba the Hutt that you made a while ago
you should be a painter for hasbro specifically a Jabba painter
How much of your collection would you consider fan-made/3D-printed?
Not a huge amount really
Is nice
Impressive. What brand of super glue do you use? Greetings
Bob Smith Industries insta-Cure
Mighty Jabba's Collection thank's. Keep up the good work. Big fan of yours
I’m sure you’ve said it before but what kinda putty you use to fill In Gaps
Tamiya white putty
Any recommendations for places to get free models? Thingiverse just isnt giving me everything I want. Thanks!

I'd love to see you try make a Jumbo Kenner Rebo Band!
I’d like that myself. Unfortunately we don’t have 3D models for them yet
What do you use for your ending music?
It's called "Hookah Bar" from the RUclips Audio Library. Seemed appropriate on several levels
@@MightyJabbasCollection Indeed! I'll keep it bookmarked to put in any Jabba-themed music playlists I make. Thanks!
Ooo
Resin models weren't cheap either. Think I paid 150 for venom and same for vader in the 90s
I only like Jabba getting choked from Leia.

the yellow looks like peep
Uhhh why is the bra-I’m just gonna cut myself off there but why is it and the shoes light blue?
3d printing is cool unless print useless shit.
aww poor jabba
