When I was 15, I was in a very abusive home - my mom basically took everything from me and my room was literally just my make shift bed of one of those child's chairs that folds out to a bed. The day after she emptied my room, a stray black cat came meowing up the driveway just calling to my mom and me, came right up to us and straight onto my lap. I know he came to save me, and to be there for me when I didn't have any friends or family to depend on. He was sent straight to my house as a stray to save ME. He opened my heart to not just cats but animals in general, because before him I had no connection with any animals at all. He taught me so much unconditional love during that time. There were nights when the house was full of screaming and I'd be crying in my room, but he was RIGHT THERE. He was literally handcrafted by God for me, during that time in my life because God knew I needed someone to love and someone to love me. He's passed on, but I'll never forget everything he taught me about cats and owning and loving a cat, the things he taught me about how to treat others and love others even if they've hurt you - he's gonna be so excited to see me when I get to heaven, and I cant wait to tell him about all the cats I've loved after him BECAUSE of him. 😌

I own two Puerto Rican mixed dogs (one was a rescue after Hurricane Maria and the other was a rescue post-earthquake), and they are amazing. The post-earthquake is very excentric, she "talks" to you, uses her voice and gestures to express herself and request what she needs. The Hurricane rescued is quieter, but her face expressions say it all. Is almost like they both will talk to you if they knew how to speak. They are amazing and lovely.

That's just the way it works with dogs. Sometimes you choose which dog will be yours, sometimes the dog chooses which human will be theirs. I've had two dogs the past decades. The first one was an Airedale terrier and basically everything was against him: too big, too old and he looked horrible because he'd just had surgery on his head. And yet, somehow I knew and we had six wonderful years together. My next dog was a Picardy shepherd / terrier mix. She was a little too small, had a coat that would require a lot of upkeep and she was very timid. But the first time I saw her at her foster home, she jumped up on the couch, put her head on my lap as if to say "OK, I guess you'll do" and was asleep a few minutes later. I had the privilege of taking care of her for 12 years. Although there are now two gaping holes in my heart that will never be filled, I wouldn't trade any of those 18 years I had those wonderful dogs for anything.
Lovely story. Thanks for adopting rather than shopping! Thanks for affording two dogs a loving forever home ❤️!!! They're so prescious! May you have a lifetime of making memories. Thanks for having shared this heartwarming story with us....🌹🙏❤️🙏🥰🙏💕
My "Bean" (wondered up out of a bean field) looks exactly like Bailey. I've learned from others that Bean isn't just a mutt but rather a Black Mouthed Cur that are used for coyote hunting. He's very gun shy so I suspect he was either dumped because he wouldn't hunt or checked out the first time they fired a gun near him. He was very shy at first but has gained confidence and turned into the best dog I could have asked for. I do believe in the line of though that they choose us. I thank God every day I am blessed to have Bean in my life. Dogs are God's most perfect creation.

Both are so adorably cute. I currently have my 'Heart' baby who's old now , sick with cushings, blind and deaf but he is the best thing ever to come into my life besides my husband. I've loved all my dogs before him, but there's just something amazingly special about this boy and I love him so so much. Most definitely my heart and soul boy. I hope everyone is as blessed as this woman and myself to have your own heart dog.
I had a dog with cushings disease, as she aged she also lost most of her sight. She was diagnosed at nine yrs and I was told she would live a couple of more years, but she lived six years after that diagnosis. I know how emotional it is to have a dog that you love and must deal with the affects of cushings. So your boy was fortunate that you were the one who came along to give him a good life. Best wishes to you and your family.
Bailey carrying your pajamas around after you take them off every morning when you're getting ready for work omg 😍😭😍 You two are clearly human-dog soulmates ❤🐾❤ Thank God you already had her when she had the health issue that affected her eyes. Sadly, I hate to think what they might have done with/to her if she would've been in the shelter still when that happened 😥 Now, she also has a furry sibling! She knows it was you that >saved< her - She will continue to show her unconditional love & thanks for the rest of her 'best life' days! 🐕💓🐾🐕💓🐾🐕
What a special relationship and then ANOTHER great dog to join the family ! Getting Bailey a friend was kind of you. And since they are the yin & yang to each other, it's a sweet dynamic. Thanks for rescuing them. I'm elderly (when did that happen!! LOL) and had many dogs. All were special in their way. Dogs are so worthy of our loyalty, too. Hug those doggies for me !!
Stories like this make my day. We need a lot more people like Bailey's owner. This channel doe such a good job of showing big-hearted people and how rewarding dog adoption is. To me a lot more so than buying from a breeder.
Whoa, Danuta. Take a gander upwards and notice "Porumbel578"s plight. He watched one dog become two - in the midst of an earthquake and a hurricane. Prophesy like this doesn't come around this often. Apparently they are amazing.
You recognize that Bailey was meant to be your "soul mate" in a different form. How wonderful and how wonderful you got her Odin as a friend. Thanks for sharing your family.
It's so wonderful that a lot of people are adopting animals, every time I talk to someone that has a dog or a cat, they tell me that they adopted the dog or the cat, I always thank them for opening up their heart and home to a shelter animal!

Fabio, congrats on long term recovery. 35 yrs for me. Losing your first/early recovery dog is a singular heartache. Of course you must keep only the puppies that touch you most deeply. My latest, and probably last, puppy is also an energetic one so I know how much work such a dog requires. I'm a firm believer that we get the dog we need. Wishing you continued success, love and joy , and a canine companion that speakes to your better angels.
@@peggynulsen1365 long story short I am 40 my parents are in their 60's and disabled so out of convenience as I have no kids or wife or gf I live with them. If I did not they'd be in a mess. After all bills are paid without my income they'd have $10 a month for food. Plus they cant do certain tasks. I know they as well as I have wanted a German Shepherd. Their 42nd wedding anniversary was in June. The dates from losing my girl to the date the puppy was born was just too coincidental to not get her. What I did was waited until the date to get her got closer as I was still grieving and was unsure if I was ready to move on. I actually gave her to them as their anniversary gift. But trying to break my dad of bad command habits is harder than house breaking her. 1st he yells constantly at her. 2nd he uses off and down in the same context. Where I had mine train off was get off the bed couch or stop climbing. Down was sit if I said down and snapped my fingers she'd lay down. The most important command was No! She knew that command very well I could place her food bowl in front of her tell her to sit then if she tried to get up I told her no and she'd stay It also worked on her when barking. Nobody wanted to walk her because they thought she would pull but was the complete opposite. Needless to say I had her trained the way I wanted for the most part. The only thing she refused to learn was to shake. She HATED her paws being touched so I never forced her to do anything out of her comfort zone. I wish I could post pics in comments everyone I had shown pics of her to thought she was so pretty and they were correct. There was 1 thing about her I disliked but it was my fault was she was very space territorial to people she did not know. It was because I lived alone and nobody came over very often. She was great with my immediate family and those she knew but a totally different doggo with strangers. The one I couldn't understand was she HATED most men. I could ramble on and on about as you can obviously see. She was my bestfriend I could have ever had and was the perfect pup for me. She lived going for rides one last quirk she had was once the car reached 35 mph she'd jump behind the drivers seat and curl up. Forgot she was in the car a few times because of it. Because usually once I slowed to 35 or below she'd jump back up to the front by me it was really weird.
What a beautiful relationship with your dogs. May you have many happy moments together. I understand seeing Bailey as a soul mate. Dogs can certainly be that

Bailey's eyes ➡️ 🥺
What a beautiful relationship with your dogs. May you have many happy moments together. I understand seeing Bailey as a soul mate. Dogs can certainly be that
What a beautiful story. They're soul mates for sure 👍🙏🥰💖🐶
she is so lucky you found her, every Sato (which is what we call Heinz 57 dogs in PR) should be as lucky. Thank you for finding her and making her happy, these dogs go through so much turmoil in their lives. Thanks to so many rescues who go to all kinds of places and all kinds of trouble to rescue them and find them a great life out of the Island.

Bailey is adorable and her mom is so wonderful and I was so worried at first with Baileys eye condition but so relieved that it wasn't painful and that after treatment she was back to normal and I love how Odin counterbalances Bailey.
