Humans who love animals are beautiful. That lady Donna is a Saint.
I know the absolute heartache and worry that accompanies a lost pet. I lost my cat for 28 days. I lost my job looking, lost 12 pounds, walked 7 hours a day, put up 600 fliers. I did not have a great outcome, but I admire your resolve and persistence in finding her. Bravo! And that woman, Donna, deserves a medal.
I'm so sorry..💔
That's horrible for you, Bonnie. Sometimes things are just beyond our control. I hope things are looking up for you.
@@sueczerniak1266 You're right. Sometimes our inability to control the outcome makes us blame ourselves, but thanks for your empathy. Knowing I did everything I could do within my physical capacity helped me accept the outcome.
I am sorry Bonnie for the nightmare you went through, maybe your cat found another home, some cats even have 2 or more families, sometimes it happens. I hope your cat is doing fine somewhere else. Big hugs for you
@@kiko7247 I know what you mean about cats having 2 families. My cat's best friend, Cookie, came to my house every evening, had some dinner, played with catnip on the couch and then departed for adventures with his girlfriend one street over. I called my house his "Gentleman's Club."
Thank you for not giving up. So glad she home
I thought cars and dogs can orient themselves and find their way home, no matter how far. This is strange, but I am happy her owners found her.
@@landang7906 When they are too scared and traumatized, they revert. It can happen in dogs with a history of abuse.
You are good people. She is lucky you refused to give up. She is a sweetheart.
How AWFUL to keep seeing her on camera and not be able to reach her. There just aren't enough words of praise for the people who helped bring her home. But now she's back home and safe and loved. My heart is singing! I'm so happy for Leia and her family.
I bike the B&A trail through anne arundel a few times a week. Seeing undated signs is depressing. People should date the signs and write that they will remove them or ask for a call before removing. I also have helped people look for dogs in the area, and fast food restaurants allowed us to put signs in the drive thru windows which resulted in a customer who worked at the airport call us to say he thinks he saw a dog along the airport cargo fence line. The dog was in the perimeter fence when we found him. It was a grueling 3 days of going through the woods in the airport parks where people bike and watch planes taking off. Date signs, use fast food drive thrus.🐶
Not awful to see dog in camera and not catch her. You can lot see her and not catch her. It’s best to see the dog during the lost times so you can monitor the health and wellness. It’s also nice to know you are in the right place looking. It’s not awful to see a lost dog you can’t catch. It’s awful not to know where it is, if it’s okay or not okay and so much more. I am glad they could see her. This is how they caught her. Just saying. Think your comment through first.
The dedication this family had for getting her back is just heartwarming. Donna is a complete angel too!
Imagine what this poor dog went through. So glad you persisted and got her back. Hopefully she will overcome the stress she suffered and will once again enjoy her life
So glad they got her back it is simply amazing what she went through I would not imagine that on any dog
My little Havanese was "only" gone a full night and into late morning the next day, but I was beside myself. I just happened to have pulled his collar off the night before, but he was wearing his bandana. First thing in the morning I had printed 10-20 color pictures that filled a sheet of paper, and attached that to poster board with his name and our number. I put them at every single stop sign in our area. We had gone to an early morning Dr appt and had stopped by the grocery store when my phone rang with a stranger's number! The cashier and the people around watched as I took the most feel-good call of my life! Jasper had wandered through the neighborhood until someone who was letting his dog out saw Jasper. He said he opened his door to Jasper and he saw their bed and just jumped right up, ready for bed. I can't imagine 3 months of chasing your dog. Thank God there are kind people who are willing to help a stranger out when they are hurting and in need!
I help to take care of a Havanese named Wrigley. A friend's dog. Love that dog.❤
@@mr.d.572 one of our daughters really wants a Havanese and is saving her money, working while she's in college! She wasn't allergic to Jasper, even though she is allergic to other dogs. Thank for commenting. Havanese seem to have very nice dispositions!
@@DawnOldham
Well Wrigley is very mischievous and can be hard to manage. I love him as he is but he can drive his mom crazy. Her other Havenese named Cody was a total sweetheart and very gentle but he sadly passed away last year. Wrigley was a bit of a bully to Cody and doesn't get on well with other dogs. So every Havanese is a bit different. I'm sure their backgrounds have a lot to do with it too; they were both rescues and who knows what they endured before being adopted.
GOD BLESS YOU AND THAT LADY THAT HELPED YOU FIND HER THANK YOU FOR NOT GIVING UP
Thanks to Donna for helping this couple get Leia back! Mom staying to look for her while Dad got them moved was phenomenal - it was exactly what I would have done. My fbabies are just like my kids. SO happy you got her back! God Bless you all!
Yes, that is true devotion. Bless this wonderful couple and their dear dog.
@@QueenCeleste2 So very true.
Amen!!! I would’ve done the same thing!! How would anyone stop looking for such a cherished member of the family! It breaks my heart to hear people say after their dog goes missing - oh I’m sure they’re gone forever and they stop looking! There is NO WAY I would ever give up looking… never!
This story has a wonderful ending. Had a similar thing happen 60 years ago. I still remember the pain we suffered before the joyous relief. We had a happy ending too. Best wishes ❤
Thank God you persisted and got her back. God bless you and your friends.
Ohh, this video made me cry. So happy for you all 💓
I am sooooo glad you got her back and she is doing well!!!!!
I'm so happy for you!! Losing your besty, whether he/she gets lost, stolen, or passes away, is absolutely heart breaking. I know you'll treasure every moment with her now that she's home. Congratulations!!
Wow. What a story. Poor girl, was alone for over 3 months! Hounds are sensitive dogs anyway, without that kind of trauma. I'm sure in time Leia will relax again. And, even it may take years, it's obvious these two people love her to pieces and will do everything in their power to make her feel safe and secure again. And kudos to Donna for all the help she provided in finding your girl!
Glad she is back home. I have a 7 yr old beagle who looks identical to Leia. Her name is Stella and she is MY baby. She has separation anxiety so needs to be with me at all times.
👉THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE DOGS.👈 ❤️🙏💞🐾
Few people invest so much in finding a lost dog or cat. These people including Donna are such admirable and determined people.
Our cat Maisie was missing for 2 months, one of the worst times of my life. So many people helped us in the odyssey to get her home. She’s now curled up asleep on my lap as I watch this, and I’m so grateful to have her back.
So happy you were persistsnt❤😂😢🎉
When you lose them and then you see them again and you get them back it's like a gift it's like you're receiving the most wonderful gift in the world
thanks for not giving up.... bless all animal lovers.
Thank you for loving your pet enough to never give up on finding her!! I never will understand people who abandon or abuse animals!! I cried watching your video & I am so happy your fur baby is finally home with a family that truly loves her!!❤️🦮
I am so happy for you all 💙😁
GOD BLESS these people for adopting these beautiful animals!!
I know hind sight is 20/20. I was thinking it may have helped to put clothing items from her owners in the trap. Anyway, I'm so happy baby girl is back home. Thank you to everyone involved in her safe return.
That's actually genius! I truly would've never thought of that.
And THAT'S how you find a lost pupper! Awesome support and PERSISTENCE! So glad you found her!
My dog, Atreyu, ran away for 12 days and I barely slept or ate. I was so worried and felt like I lost a child. Thank God we found him. I cannot imagine 100 days OMG! I'm so happy baby boy is back home safe 💜
Donna is what every human should take inspiration from...love u lady
You go ahead and cry all you want, we are crying with you.
God Bless you two and ALL the people that helped.! 🙂
I wanna hit the like button 100 times for your comment.... much love, God bless....
Sheesh what a story .... Wonderful owners .... Hopefully as time goes by she will relax more and more. Bravo Bravo
Not 100 days, but my mom's dog Abby disappeared during a snowstorm where it was dropping into negatives at night. Three days later she reappeared on the doorstep and it was clear she'd been caught in a noose trap. Noose traps are legally supposed to be checked every day in that area, so someone was completely negligent and we are so lucky she came home. Similar to Leia, she became a much more affectionate dog after that.
What an amazing story. So happy & thankful you finally got her back. Stories like these are so heartbreaking!
My goodness. I'm glad she's safe again at home. Lost 1/3 of her weight. Hope she's slowly regaining her weight.
Donna. What an angel. And the engineer who made the trap. Another angel.
Your husband had to move for a new job. Must have been hard for him to not be there. Well, all is well now. :)
What a good ending to a story that would make any of us dog people cry...
Getting her back was probably the best night's sleep any of them had in a very long time. It took a village but thank goodness they didn't give up. Tail wags!!!
I’m SO happy for you. Rescues are the best. God bless you.
What an amazing story! Thank goodness you never ever gave up! We lost our dog for two weeks and didn't have good luck unfortunately 😔. I am in tears for you! So happy for your outcome! It makes my outcome a little sweeter actually. 💜 Thank you for not giving up! Wonderful family and fur baby you have. Leia is beautiful! 🐶🥰💜✌
@Boho Chic 💜 Thank you that means a lot to me. 🥰🤗💜
So very wonderful people!!! There is still HOPE in this cruel world!!!
Thanks to everyone who participated in making this family whole again. Please tag and microchip your pets. You never know what could happen. 😊❤️🐶
THANKYOU for this demonstration of PURE LOVE . EVERYONE AN ANGEL!!!!!!!! Bliss you and Leia !!!!!
Wow, Awesome video ! Tears Of Joy for Leia being found on the 100th Day!!!! Yay!!!!!
I lost my kitty and she was gone for 99 days and some 'friends of a dog park' right next door donated a 'have a heart' trap and she was in the cage on the 2nd morning crying like a real baby !! I had Tears of Joy !!! She is 12 now and that was 11 years ago. :)❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was in in your same shoes, my gardener left the yard door open and my rescue, a very skittish German shepherd got out. Posted flyers and many kind ppl called spotting my dog in the same general area. When I went to the area I also spotted him, but he panicked and ran away. I left food for him, along with my socks and the T-shirt I was wearing. Next day, I came back and walked the area and he came running out of the woods towards me!!! He had been missing for 43 days, but he knew my scent!
Bless the helpers and volunteers
I am so glad this story had a really good ending.
I am so happy for you. I know exactly how that feels. A long time ago our son who is bipolar, let all 4 of our cats out because he was mad at us, three came back, and my favorite was gone for 6 weeks, I posted signs, searched every day, then one day I spotted him, I had to bribe him with food to catch him. It was a heart-wrenching 6 weeks.
My son, my only child, is Bi-Polar. He as lied to and stolen from everybody he knows.
I had to get a restraining order against him for a few years.
Now at 35 years old, he has developed heart problems. He has been living on the streets.....in and out of jail... of San Jose CA for the last 5 years.
He has finally started to take his Meds on a regular basis and is applying for disability and housing.
I truly LOVE my son, but he is impossible to live with. I help him when i can with some money or stuff from Amazon.
You hang in there and do the best you can 🙂
So sad for any family dealing with bi polar. We had to go zero contact with our middle aged family member.
@@fredziffle5219 Thank you, unfortunately, he abandoned his first born son when he was 10 YO at his school because his new wife #3 didn't want his son because he is autistic, he is physically 15 but mentally around 6/7, so we are raising him. We also have no contact with our son, he has put us through hell.
@@moorec1053 We have no contact with him, he has put us through hell. We are raising his first son because wife #3 did want him because he is autistic.
@@Violet316 .......Yeah, I 100% understand.
Just try to keep in mid that your son, like your grandson, has an illness that is not his fault.
It is a horrible thing.
Good Luck and God Bless
This couple is amazing....
Bless them all💙🙏💙
I'm so happy you were able to trap her! She had been through such an awful beginning and then found love and happiness only to lose it in a moment. She must have been as frightened as both of you were so thank God she went into that one last trap!
Oh my goodness your story brought tears of sadness and then HAPPINESS. I am elated you found your beloved pet♥️♥️♥️
OMG...TEARS!!! I had a similar situation 40yrs ago, but I never found my beagle. Still not over it 😩 So happy you found your baby 😁
She is safe in your heart.... I wish you could have found him... be safe, God bless......
They now know that you loved them and looked for them.
LOVELY, KIND DOG, TAKE CARE, LOVE
Years ago my son lost his cat. Max. It was hard because Max was a black cat with no markings. I phoned the Humane Society daily and we put up flyers. Finally my son and his friend saw Max dash into someone's garage. After calling him for about 15 minutes, his buddy suggested he meow like a cat. My son did and when Max peeked out he grabbed him. His paws were raw from the cement, he had a nick in his ear, and he was starving, but he was home.
Lucky and loved Leia. Lucky and loved parents. Great story. So so very glad you all were reunited. ♥♥♥
She's so beautiful and evidently a clever girl too. Thank God you got her home safely,
I'm so happy you found her and that this who le situation had a happy ending.

I am so glad that you never gave up and that Donna was there to help you.
I love Harriers. She's just like my Harrier. So pleased she came back to her lovely home.
My BIGGEST nightmare is losing any of my babies. I would just die. Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit LOL
I am SO happy that this angel is home, safe and loved. What a scary journey that must have been for her too. Poor baby girl.
Thank you for loving her!!!!
I’m impressed as f with your handling of this. Overstaying your move, immediately getting on the case and never quitting. I admire that, and I’m happy you persevered and got your puppy back❤
thank goodness you got her back.
Brilliant! You and your husband are a dream come true. I have a small rescue and my heart bleeds every time I come in contact with " Easy come, easy go." creeps. People like you make my heart sing because you are true love. Thank you and thank you for posting.

SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL BEAGLE PAINT JOB. HER STORY HAD ME IN TEARS. THANK GOD YOU GOT HER BACK, AMEN!
He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.

To quote Churchill ‘ Never never never never give up ‘
Wow, that sure was one helluva and scary ordeal. You guys never gave up ❤ I bet she is so happy to finally be home and safe.

Love and patience works everytime ! The puppy isn't going anywhere again ! God bless this relationship ! Live and love a long time ! Thanks for caring and sharing this !
Nearly the exact same happened to me and a dog named Meg. She escaped from a new house we had just moved into, it took 6 months to find and trap her, thanks to a wonderful group near us. She had not lost any weight in all that time, strangely it was around Christmas she was first seen. We are ever thankfully for that wonderful group, there are some brilliant people around.
The best Christmas present ever !!
What wonderful human beings ! Uh! So many people come together just to keep a doggie safe! God bless🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for not giving up! You're such a great fur mommy! ❤️ 🥰😍
Beautiful reunion.
Yes, when she bayed in recognition from that trap in the dark, it was priceless!
Yay, thank goodness she is back with her family. I love happy endings. Pets are truly family that need to stay with the family.
