What an amazingly strong woman. Despite being in an abusive relationship, she wanted the others to be safe, including the pups. I hope she’s managed to leave the relationship and is living a much better life. And lovely woman who took Luna in. Luna’s a great dog, looking absolutely gorgeous.
Unfortunately the abuser got the puppies not for an apology but to manipulate and hurt his family further by threatening to hurt the puppies. Men like that need to be put in prison for life. They never change and eventually kill someone or their entire family. I hope her and the kids got away from this man and is living a life without fear and abuse from this man. Unfortunately men usually will hunt them down and beat the shit out of her before killing her and the kids. I hope he never finds them. Women and children living in fear from an abusive husband or boyfriend need help. What is a restraining order going to do, nothing. Why can't the fbi give them protection with new identities and a new start elsewhere?

@@salmakadiri2349they got in touch via a shelter, so the woman is clearly taking steps. It's not so easy to give up your children... The husband could try to take them for sole custody. Also, the foster system is poorly supervised and there is a lot of abuse there as well. Maybe this woman came from that system, herself. It's very easy to pass judgment, but life is always more complicated than a RUclips video
@@salmakadiri2349 unfortunately it won’t work that way! She probably got “punished” by her partner just for giving the dogs away. Unless you have lived with an abuser you don’t get the right to judge what she did! I admire the guts it took to do that. I sent my cat to safety when I was being beaten and it took me another year to get away from him. I had no children either. Unless you’ve been in an abusive relationship you absolutely cannot understand nor judge.

@@jamjardj1974 You're jumping to a conclusion here. You don't know that. The story is about the dog. It's not like they're sharing everything about her story. If she was smart enough to get the dog out of there, then she probably smart enough to extricate herself and her kids.
Animals are not that kind of gifts.. or surprise presents (unless the receiver is already familiar with animals and has wished for one)..

Absolutely surprise gifts are horrible for all involved especially if the receiver is aware, No animal is easy, ALL require research, as well as many take a lot of prep work and have long term and at times very expensive commitments, vets, food, enclosures, etc.
Kudos to the woman for realizing the dogs were in danger and rehomed them. I hope she got herself safe as well.

Luna is like my departed Pittie rescue Lola. For over 14yrs she helped me to deal with PTSD and depression. She was also like Luna in her efforts to help all creatures she would encounter on our longs walks together. I feel there is an unsung heroe to your story, the abused woman that had the presence of mind to save those puppies. I hope the other puppy mentioned is also happy and safe. Keep this in mind when you talk badly about folks taking their pets to shelters - MANY of them are saving their pets before they start the difficult, dangerous process of saving themselves. From poverty, from violence, or from abuse. Where animals are suffering, hurting humans are also suffering. We suffer and survive together ❤️
Well said . Remember it is the adult's choice to stay or leave, how ever difficult and terrifying the situation, the children and pets don't get that choice. I admire the woman who had the courage to say enough, no more.
Very well said. Oftentimes, just bringing an animal to the shelter is a big step for someone. Not all who do are heartless or uncaring, but rather people who need help themselves, and it's really a shelter of last resort. In an ideal world, our shelters, animal and human, would not be so overwhelmed, so we could help people, too. Homeless pets are representative of a human problem.

Luna’s Mom is going to make sure that she has a wonderful life. They remind me of the relationship I had with my female Boston Terrier Rescue, who crossed right before Xmas last year at the age of 13. Congestive Heart Failure took her from me.
And like Luna & her Mom, we were soulmates from day 1. My Dottie was just like Luna. She had a beautiful soul, and wouldn’t hurt a fly. We went everywhere together. The beach, the Mtns, or just to go for a ride.
She was my world, and I think of her everyday.
Luna and her Mom make such a beautiful couple together.
As for the lady dealing with an abusive partner, I hope she has gotten away from this toxic person and gone “No Contact” with them.
Since I’ve recently endured the cruel “Discard” you receive when you’re in a relationship with a Narcissist, who in their mind has drained everything they could out of you, found a new supply and has concluded that you’re worthless and need to be thrown away.
The psychopathic, covert, narcissistic witch of a soon to be X wife, didn’t bat an eye during her destruction of a 32 year marriage and the ripping of our family apart which consisted of 3 grown son’s that I raised, co-parenting with a narcissist.
This lady is definitely dealing with a narcissistic relationship and they will never change unless they seek therapy on their own and actually face the fact that they are a narcissist, which very few actually attempt to get better through therapy, because this goes completely against what they’re belief’s are. And they get worse as they age. I had to go down the rabbit hole on narcissism, which I knew very little about, and they perform their evil in stealth mode, methodical and can change like a chameleon in an instant, to keep you confused and hand all the blame on you, no matter what the situation is.
I hope and pray the lady got out, and if what I exposed about what it’s like dealing with these demons, keeps one person from going through what I have, then I couldn’t ask for more. Much Love to All Dog Lover’s Out There, and Much Love to All Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse. You Are Enough. Believe Me.

Good lesson here.....the lady with the abusive mate did the amazing thing....! Which was to re-home these precious pups, knowing the her own personal situation was dangerous. Example of Doing The Right Thing. Hoping she and her kids are now OK, too. Luna's new home is filled with love.

I'm so happy that Luna got a great home and I hope that the other puppy also has a good life with someone kind. Pitbulls are some of the most loving dogs and they give their all to their people.
I know we're all here because of the animals but I still hope that the abused woman finds the courage in her heart to end her relationship and give her children a better life. As much as I love puppies, the fact that there are children there in an unsafe situation makes my blood boil.
Sorry (sort of) to get political, but the Republican candidate for vice president thinks that women should tough it out and stay in abusive marriages. He says that it is best for the children!

I once promised to take the cat from an older lady, if she would be too sick to care for the cat herself. That promise is 15 years old and a few months ago I had to keep it and her cat was with me.
He was the most sensible and cautious cat. But soon he settled in and purred me and him to sleep every night while cuddeling next to me.... Despite the abrupt change in his life - he surprised me everyday with how perfect he adjusted himself and with my work shifts. A wise old gentleman, perfect in every way possible.
I thought I'd have at least two or three years with him, but suddenly his whole routine changed and went worse every following day. The vet came home to me to help him... it turned out his kidneys were failing and medication would only provide him with a few more days.
His name was Max! I lost him last thursday at 1 pm.
Max, I love you, I miss you. May you always feel my embrace, for all eternity! 💞💔😭

Agreed. It's entirely possible the abuser had an ulterior motive, bringing more helpless creatures into the relationship that he could later threaten and thus use as leverage against the woman.
So happy you have given her the chance at life she deserves! As Far as the shovel goes that isn't uncommon with the bully breeds, I have had several that I have raised from newborn and most don't like shovels or cordless drills, quite entertaining when they see or hear me using one of them 😄
The previous owner was a brave woman, who saved the dogs despite probable further violence on that account from her husband. Luna's reaction to a shovel is about that violence in the previous home. Thanks to the previous woman for her courage and unselfishness in protecting the puppies' lives!

There's no excuse, no justification for abusing anyone or anything, be it an animal, a pet, a partner and definitely not children!

Her fear and attacking of a shovel is sad, dogs are very neurotic with remembering trauma, if they were abused by a man who wore hats, they'll always be very wary and anxious around men in hats. Just shows how much of an impact it's left on them, poor sweet things.
