    I live in North Alabama. I’m from Scottsboro so I grew up fishing Lake Guntersville at Goosepond. I also fished in college for the University of North Alabama. I’m looking to get into kayaking fishing currently. I love your content!

    This was a great video! I learned 3 things that I'm going to adopt & try. I have a follow up question: When fishing with the Shockwave over grass or the D Shad- what rod do you use?

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  11 месяцев назад

      I’ve been using the YakRods Foundation Series 6’10” to 7’ Medium Heavy Fast. I like both but have become partial to the 6’ 10” for this type of fishing.

    I’m fishing tannic water in SC. Would watermelon red be a good fluke choice in sunny weather? Very small lake and I think it’s mainly bluegill in there?

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  11 месяцев назад +1

      In tannic water I like to go more shad colored, something a little whiter or brighter

    I currently use a MonsterBass bag to hold my soft plastics on the water. They switched to the bag for a couple months awhile back and it has worked perfect. When it breaks I will definitely be looking into the Plano bag.

    Thanks Chad! Another great video on how to catch the giants. Making the adjustments are key! We spent three days making adjustments including location and presentation, that in the end paid off. It wasn't until we switched from the toad and frog to the fluke that I caught my personal best. You poured a lot of knowledge into my head in those three days of which I am grateful. That was by far the best trip I have ever made. I think we might have to do it again next year!

    Awesome information! Love the toad bite also! I have also spent WAY too many hours throwing toads when I wasn’t getting hits. I found the same thing and finally went to a fluke and started catching them again. Tight lines knuklhed!

    Thanks for the heads up on the lakewood bags. I hadn't seen them before. Love the concept of the Bonafide sideline. Just on my wish list at this point.

    6th Sense also makes different size clear bait bags but with an actual zipper. Pretty legit.

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  11 месяцев назад +1

      The thing I like about these bags is the don’t have an actual zipper to gunk up or get stuff in them to bind them up like duck weed will 100% do, these
      Have a big Velcro strip and it works like a champ
