I would really like to see strategic bombers in the game like the B-52 and the B-1 Lancer
exactly, when are we going to get a B-1? I like B-52s too, but B-1s are one of my all-time favorite jets.

@@thundreskicould incentivize players to work together if you made the bombers an objective to defend while they make a bombing/cruise missile strike on bases which gives them a reason to upgrade bases to look more modern for top tier at least even gives them the chance to add the tu95 tu160 and what not and would make the game far more interesting then who can kill who faster with the furballs taking place in the same location every time
@@thundreski then make bombers the only way to destroy bases. Also make escorting and defending bombers the primary job for fighters instead of just randomly going after enemy aircraft.

The YF-23 was a technology demonstrator, which we don't include in trees unless there's an absolute need for it. In the video he also states that we only go to rank 8. The reason for this is because we aren't predicting what the tree will look like, we're just showing what can come in a reasonable way.
Loved the list and I think the f117 nighthawk should 100% be tech tree...it might have a limited payload but the fact it was a production model seals the deal for me. They can balance its battle rating to find a sweet spot for it.

Would be a perfect aircraft for ground RB, being used to jam and destroy enemy Sam systems...could promote teamwork in the CAS sector. Would be sick in simulator too.

I'm glad we have these economy changes JUST for the hypothetical complete US air tree with the assumption you have all current vehicles unlocked you will need 40million + SL just to buy the aircraft to be added and this is before crew train costs. More SL we can get from the snail the better.

Ive been saying this for years, but to help with BR decompression with 4th gen fighters gaijin will have to seperate the block upgrades of western aircraft as seperate planes.

I don't 100% agree with the placement of all the aircraft, but I think it's mostly spot on
Pretty similar to what I was hoping for! I would add more Vietnam era birds though. Namely, an earlier model of the A-6, RB-57G, B-66/A-3, A-37, OV-10, and the B-26K.

Yeah seen people talking about the A-6, I didn't include it due to how bloated and redundant the striker line is; though these would be more bomber than striker, it'd also ruin the flow of those lines as well. It would just be very difficult to balance properly and isn't likely to come anyway.

@@bodenplatte1360 I'd honestly love to have added the F-15SE, it's one of my favorite eagles; but it'd be extremely hard to balance around since it's a very awkward mix of modern systems and very outdated philosophies. They did fly and were fully wired for payloads, so that part wouldn't be an issue. Not to mention how it was also more of a tech demonstrator than an actual bid for a contract, which kind-of bars it from entry for now.

I have a idea how block variants could work, so you have the chance he actual variant (say f-16c) and when you unlock it you can choose to research any one of the blocks of that variant. Pretty simple but cool
The f15E should be in the bomber line imo. It replaced the f111

A is for attack. B is for Bomber. C is for cargo. X is for experimental. All other planes have a letter before and after to say what role the plane does and most are multi roll planes for all jobs.

@@Jaystarzgaming yes, but the F-15E isn't too good at being a close in dogfighter like other F-15s and the F-22 line its in which makes it pretty much a step backwards. it has great BVR capability and it can carry a metric ton of A2G ordinance, but thats about it. if it encounters an F-16, F-22s, fulcrums, F-35s, late flankers, or anything else along those lines that were able to sneak up close to it it is utterly defenseless. it belongs in the strike or bomber line

Just something to note: the block 70 F-16 is not used by the US Air Force neither is it planned to be used, so the Viper Tech tree would end at the block 50 or 52, the only difference between these two being the engines
I've seen many reports of America moving to purchase Block 70 aircraft or, more specifically, upgrading older units to a Block 70 standard minus all the advancements to the airframe. Hence why I listed it as a C and not the full designation V.
Yes but it makes no sense to have a block 70 on the american tech tree when the only benefit of the block 70 the current USAF block 50s are getting is the new AESA radar, should at least be called something else, such as Block 50++ or something. But anyways, makes no difference, video is great 🚀
@@newtnetothe block 70 is very different from the 50 in other ways than you mentioned such as conformal fuel tanks engine cpu ew ect. Heck even uses a different ejection seat
@@calneigbauer7542 I said that the features the USAF Viper is getting since the Block 70 is not being bought by them are those I mentioned, not that these are the only features that differentiate the Block 70 from the Block 50. The USAF is not buying the Block 70, only upgrading them to have some of the features the 70 has, such as the AESA radar

I think each model of modern jets will have almost 2 variants on 1 column. Like F-4C/E for Air force, J for Navy, S for premium.
I hope they would add the b52a at 9.0 with a tail gun but there would need to be more bases ans bigger maps

F-15S aka F-15 STOL/TDM, can be prem/event tho I wish for tech tree.
Also alot of these models and version should be foldered.
The only problem I have is with giving the F-16 CFTs because the US never used CFTs on F-16s but instead opted for a three pylon external fuel tanks for long duration missions.
What are your thoughts of the American scout helicopters getting added under the Littlebird? Aside from other littlebird variants capable of equipping different armaments I'm wanting to see the RAH-66 Comanche in War Thunder. This thing had its program abandoned in 2003 but 2 were produced with full specs including armaments being made public.

What about the F-101 Voodoo, A-5B Vigilante, and F7U Cutlass?
Some didn't make the cut due to either not having a place in-game, messing with progression too much, or to clear up congestion.
@@lazylime8046The F-101 is more appropriate than the F-102. The F-101A was a tactical fighter with 20mm cannons. The F-101B was the two seat interceptor that was produced because of delays in F-102 development. Voodoos served much longer than the Daggers, into the 1980’s with Reserve units and the RCAF.

The F-35C is significantly different than the F35A. It does not feature a gun and it has a different wing shape and it's physically a different size
The f-15E we have in game is the f-15ES4 which was produced from 2002-6 if i remember correctly

You forgot about the F-16B or F-16D plus I think they’re going to add the hornet in the “Naval/Strike Fighter” instead of being right after the F-14B as the F/A-18 hornet is classed quite literally as “Fighter and Attack”
You’re right and wrong, I think they’ll add the f/a 18a/c/e to the naval line under the f14, and then they’ll add the e/a 18 to the attack line like what it is in the video, maybe could also add the f/a 18f

What about the Canadian CF-105 Avro Arrow interceptor prototype ? It was advanced for its time and the story about it is heartbreaking.

In theory that should end up in he British tree. It was made by a Canadian branch of a British company, and Canada was still politically ties with Britain at the time. Britain will need it more to fill a gap too, where as America's tree will already be over saturated with aircraft. And there's no double standard excuses about it being an adaption of another major nations vehicle to justify putting it in another tree either. Doesn't mean they won't screw us over of course.

i reckon if they go into mid-late 4th gen and into 5th gen they have to make maps bigger for those specific br's cus of aim-120's and also because thats what modern combat is, beyond visual range.
The f22 and f35 are basically they're own class they'd fit in well with the power tho
The F-111 is my dream. A TFR mechanic would be great to have also.
After the most recent update we are seeing the F-111 from this list, now in my opinion I feel the next big jet they should add for the US is the F-15, I find it odd they jumped the gun and dropped the F-16 before the F-15 considering the F-15 came out far sooner than the first F-16. And we all know the F-18 is a must would revolutionize CAS as we know it in-game.

F-111A is in the game so part correct F-4S is already in the game as a premium but that says late on it F-15 is possible if they add the Su-27 or MiG-25 against it

Hey you got somthing wrong eith the f-15a (1976) the initial production models had chaff but it was only deployed by usung the airbrake
That wasn't an official modification, that was made in the field by air crews.
The F15-E was 1985 with 400 Variants
But you can't say that cuz then they would have to give the F15 E, the A's spot on the tech tree rightnow , considering the time and era of the Gripen

No, that isn't going to happen. They are naval fighters, not dedicated strikers.
@@lazylime8046 their multi role. They serve different purposes. But the Hornet was specifically adopted to replace the a4 a6 and a7 and just have 1 aircraft that could do all
@@garrettobrien5197 That does not mean it should be in the striker line. Those platforms were at the end of their lives and we needed a multi-role aircraft to take over their duties.
Great video that was really interesting, but one thing you forgot about was that the F-35B and C variants don’t have an internal gun like the A variant does, but overall it was a really informative and good video

Don't forget the combat capable 2 seater training F5's, the F variant. Can be foldered underneath the E. The N variant could also be added. We should get the YF17 Cobra as well!!!

looks just like I thought. The first line of light aircraft, F16, F35. the second line of aircraft is heavier, F15, F22. the third line of NAVY, F14, F18, F35. Last line F111, F117.
But F18 after A10? I did not think about that.
F18 is multi role so it can be a fighter and strike aircraft. Like av8 is before the a10 even if it's navy aircraft. Also funfact about f18: Switzerland bought f18 not having sea access
@metro8939 F15C is also multi role, in fact, almost all fighters are milti role. So we need F16A ADF on first lane and F16A after A10 cuz it's multi role?

Foldering several vehicles will be done in the next move of the roadmap that they announced, so expect it to happen some time after the recent patch.
@@boijames3253 yea that will be good its just right now getting to top tier is extremely hard and takes forever I can only imagine the hells you would have to go through to make it to top tier with this future tree
@@paulwilliams4371 I have like 1800 hours into the game and I reached the F8E just about a year after I started playing. Strictly a f2p player but I do use some warbonds to use prems and activate some wagers.
@@boijames3253 yea the grind is insane I have spent a decent amount on the game with about 2k hours and I only have 10.0 in all ground lines and top tier in 2 air lines I most games 2k hours is enough to be near the top ranks of the game or finished the game if not close with war thunder even if you are amazing it take years
@@paulwilliams4371 true, Ground tech trees take noticeably a lot longer than air ones for some reason. Especially when you enter the Cold War era stuff, that might be the br compression around those ranks tho. Compared to air tech trees, I earn a lot more in jets around 9.7-10.0. We just gotta wait for the research and cost reduction and foldering ig.

Not likely there isn't enough ground tanks to be able to fill all the way out to like br14-15. Ground is kinda done where it's at for USA😊
I hope they put the f-15 as a premium because I grinded the Italian tech tree for the Eurofighter when it comes out but the f-15 is a plane i got to see in real life and blows any plane out of the water

The problem with this is there is such a disparity between 5th gen aircraft and 4th. There would be no competition at all and balancing would be screwy as all heck.
I dont think they would add 5 of the same aircraft in the same line, also i think the 35 and 22 should be in a higher rank since they would be so dominant.
Would like to see more modifications of already existed planes such as: FJ-3, F-86H, F-4D, F8U-1, F-8H, F-100A, F-105A, Maverick's F-14A (Late), A-4F, A-6A, A-6C, A-7A, A-7C.
