Man CAS at top tier seems nasty. Those homing missiles.
almost 1000 spawn point to bring in an f16 with a full cas loadout just to get blasted by 4 pantsirs in the back of the map

@@felipeds3021and even then there might be helios and other jets that blast you out of the sky as well, sometimes 10 seconds after you spawn. imo they need to lower the spawn points and or make it so that all of your team spawns at one air spawn, just make it random for both teams having spawns the entire radius of the map. that would at least make it harder for AA to see enemy air at first

I've played that thing a lot and already got it spaded, it's such a best in both air and ground battles, might be my new favorite plane!
I have been in my Type 90 and watched 4 LEO 2A5 all take multiple shots at a T80BVM and it was still shooting back and I killed it

It's crazy to me too. I main Japan and I can easily take out the series tanks especially at long ranges. Once you know their armor layout and develop that muscle memory for shot placement it's not that hard. But I constantly see American and German mains hit t series tanks everywhere they can't pen and should know better. Like the turret cheeks. Like why would you even try lol.

@creesed9041 they should use the armor overlay and look for those week spots for the vehicles and ammo they prefer to use like I do. But for basically all t series tanks they have the same week points. Drivers hatch is the big one. Right above the commanders hatch is a spot you can hit the commander with shrapnel from an apfsds or potentially take out commander gunner with heat if you don't have ap. Lower plate and left near the track is a good spot. If you can get a good angle you can det ammo for a hit shot kill. There is a spot above the gunners side you can pen with higher grade ammo like type 10 were you can hit the gunner but it's a bit more tricky and I tend to take that shot when they are hull down and I can't get the drivers hatch. I want to say just left of the breach is a solid shot to knock it out and keep it from firing back then you can go for the hatch or lower plate. That's just spit balling. There's others like if there angled but people should really use the overlay it helps so much to learn your opponents weak spots

It is only going to keep getting worse. And Gaijin just does nerfs to spaa and buffs to CAS options.
Ka52 and other helis cant do what a supersonic super fast jet can do. They fly around spaa without spaa being able to hit them. They have standoff capability against SPAA, they are more cable to defend attacks from planes, they have powerful radars and in case of US CAS they have outright OP RWRs now which maje them even easier to fly and perform well.
ya but the f16 isnt immune to IR missiles like the KA and MI helicopters, it also cant kill 16 different targets with its missiles, or shoot through smoke, or hide behind buildings, or launch missiles with insane ECCM, or shred other aircraft without moving.
The rwrs aren't op they provide more SA but it's not like they provide some crazy advantage.
Good spaa players don’t die to cas easily, I mean you can shoot agms and bombs

In my honest opinion there should be a ground only mode and a combined arms mode. It is not fun to play a tank only to get bombed from orbit by a guided bomb by some dude thinking it’s skillful gameplay
Tbh, cas takes way more skill then people credit it with. Spas is cake and not enough players play it.
@@aaronstrange8969 most sam platforms wont detect planes in orbit besides the pantsir, especially when they are directly above you, and after the missile rework, very few SAM launchers are somewhat viable to get their missile to target, manpads are now unironically better than most platforms, and would be a complete replacement if they could target helicopters past 2km.
The main skill gap with CAS is learning the keybinds needed to operate the armament, because once you are in orbit and have the muscle memory for the systems you become mostly untouchable, most SAM launchers struggle a lot, let alone the countries that lack one with radar.

Fighting roland systems in one of the most agile fighters in the game.. Not really fair considering how disgustingly bad gaijin nerf'd the Sam systems in game recently
They needed Roland’s and the 2S6, Pantsir is still OP and the ADATS is mid but great compared to Roland’s
SPAA's have simply been nerfed to hell after the atgm rework. While the ground atgms work fine, AA missiles just suck because they use the same mechanic where its just More flight time= harder controls. I'm sure we've all been robbed of a plane kill simply because missiles have become extra annoying to control.
@@wadefinnigan9207 pantsir missile kinda mid, ADATS missile is one of the best, its either TOR-M1 or ADATS. Pantsir win in range of radar detection
@@ryzkiguruh2942 the Pantsir is just as good in missile maneuverability as TOR and only slightly worse then ADATS. Pantsir missile definitely isn’t mid it’s very good.

I had f-16 cas player on enemy team that had like 20 kills. It was hard trying to kill him with germanys 11.7 AA. Those VT-1 missiles doesnt like to turn right away and was close to battlefield.

They need to hugely increase spawn cost for taking weapons on planes in ground rb. It's silly what a good player can do with a few spawn points

@@EPE77U As a US player the cas feels balanced, maybe a little leaning towards the favor of cas since the RWR changes but the pantsir is a formidable anti air. I can see how it would suck to play as a nation with shitty anti-air but even though Russia has the best anti-air I still rarely die to Russian CAS. The real cas problem is at low tiers, I love to fly out with F4Us with 2 1000 pound bombs and get two free kills.
@christopherjohnson5432 Right but with certain planes, you get 1-2 kills and you essentially unlock 4 more free kills. They need to be more expensive.
Current toptier is just cancer. Im just dying to f-16 and other Cas planes/Helis. Its just unfair to fight them with my shity Flakrak, because they are just to far away or to high to target them.

I wouldn’t mind the whole cas situation on top tier if the maps were bigger or maybe spawn air and helicopters farther away. I find myself being smoked my aircraft often because I don’t have an AA with radar yet. But then when I get in my aircraft I get shot down almost as soon as I spawn unless I immediately dive to hug the dirt.
the problem with CAS atm, is the lack of reliable SPAA to deal with them barring Pansir and Maybe the ADATS. For Germany, holy fuck I rather bring the ozelot, hide in a bush or something, and use its stingers to kill planes, cause if you use the flarakrad with those shitty ass vt-1's, roland guidance etc. It's just shit. The thing that made it viable for a top tier spaa is just shit now. So why bother using it when CAS can just simply out maneuver it with a simple maneuver because of how poor the missiles are now.
CAS has always been overpowered even worst since all top tier missiles are worthless since that one update

I saw on short vid of a guy who went up super high and did an orbital straight down maverick strike and got all 6 kills which would be the best angle to attack with mavericks with. This was with the f16c.
Honestly I don’t think most people realize how hard it is to use CAS in top tier most of the times you have a missile being sent at you right as you spawn in the only times CAS really can do really well is when the enemy dosent have good AA defense or none at all most of the time aircraft die the moment they come close to the battlefield
This thing is about to get Aim-120s. I can only imagine the hell that will bring. ARH missiles that are not a boat, only to return to yeeting your LGBs or MAVs.
Also, there is a possibility of either the Blk 10 or this getting the Gpu-5/a. As both the A and the C were both tested, they even deployed to the desert storm with the pod in mind.

Korporaal van Oudheusden facility is near me and when they get a Chinook I can hear the damn thing whine through the chopping sound. Terribly loud.

I'm a Sweden ItO 90M enjoyer and it is difficult to take out F-16s. Love how CAS has fire-and-forget missiles but SPAA is limited to radar/IR guided slow broken flight travel trash.

F-16C offers the same thing as Su-25T, which is excellent zoom and ability to launch homing missiles from afar thus avoiding enemy AA.
f 16 is faster and more maneuvrable
@@jvs343 Doesn't matter, Su-25T can take out the AA from 14km away and then do 4 kills with massive rocket-propelled bombs from 10km away.
You only need speed and maneuvrabilty when there's an enemy plane on your 6.

Hate when I wanna play ground RB and get killed by aircraft or heli, it sucks, they should add the option to Ground RB only, no aircrafts or anything that can fly and shoot.
Im with you on that idea but if they do that it would be even more unbalanced with the current maps. Just think about how many broken position there are on many maps and with out CAS there is no way the enemy can do a thing about it if you are a half decent player. CAS is needed with the current map design.
@@nuklear7074 to be fair I'm considering stop playing warthunder because of CAS, I hate to start the game and die early to a heli without even shoot anything, the game is broken, they just changed the RP required and the economy to "shut up" the comunity, the physics continues broken, the maps too, this hell of CAS, its just boring to play, and the events that u cant finish if u have a job or a social life, it sucks.
@@Gabriel_018 I dont have a problem with early spawn helis except ka50/52. They just dont die and have an apds belt for no spawn costs. The biggest oroblem with CAS imo is that we dont have equal aa destribution among the nations. If you have russia in your team you so much more protected from CAS
@@nuklear7074 I have this problem, I say that if I wanted to play against aircrafts I'd play Air RB, and like, why u need points to spawn an aicraft and no for heli ? Doesn't make sense, the Ka50/52 really sucks, the game is boring when u play high tiers, its not fun anymore. The max I play is 9.0.

Ayeee Justin!!! not sure if you saw, but you should try an F-16C revisit lmao, they nerfed the hellllll outta it by reducing the Litening II Pod to only having low-res gen-1 thermals (they claim it's the camera having a resolution of 800x600). it's basically made it impossible to see Ozelots/Strelas as they're so small they blur into the floor!

I wish i could play cas at that br. But damn there are so many new gadgets and nonsense i dont have keybinds for and can never get to work in test flights.
Its not as simple as people say to use modern aircraft if youre comming back after a few years.

Some people forget...the F-16C is currently used for the Wild Weasel mission, to take out Sam/AA sites ahead of the main aerial force, it *should* be smoking the shit outta SPAA.
Thats using anti-radiation missiles to take out dedicated long and medium range AA systems, which isn't really applicable to War Thunder. Though I do wonder if short range HARMs will eventually make it in, not sure how different it'd really be from just slinging a maverick at it

Ok. First, yes, I'm a German Main. But that doesn't change the fact that German planes can't do shit to anything in the ground. Mig 29 only has s24bs as its only groundpound option that works. IDS? Completely fucked since it can't manouver for shit. Su22? Nope. And the flarakrad can't do shit now, it's fucking trash. The problem isn't having powerful weapons, the problem is being wholely unable to counter them or mimic them.
Are you using an AMD graphics card? I have a laptop with an RX5600m and I've been having frame rate stutters like that even in other games.

being honest tank RB should have only tanks and an combined arms event should be a thing to allow people to play the CAS and Helicopters. Make it so players have endgame to play this cool stuff. Big af maps with plenty of room and huge player numbers. Make it like enduring confrontation. Let people spawn in without points to be CAS, CAP, or ground, etc. Perhaps dust off the world war mode and revamp it. These vehicles are severly OP mostly becuase everything in game in any mode is always in its engagement envelope. Warthunder needs to stop making tanks and start making the game part of it. The event section i feel is rarley touched anymore. Why not add genuine coop that allows people to bring CAS, Tanks, and Heli's so people can get their rocks off in that mode using their CAS rather than venting out in the mode made for grinding tanks?

All we really need is better sams. Which will prolly cancel out CAS til they add radiation missiles.
Only certain aircraft should have radiation missiles and they should only have a limited amount or have a limited ability to take mixed load outs.
iE no radiation missiles AND vikhrs/agm-65. No radiation missiles and Guided munitions in general.
Dumb bombs and rockets and air to air missiles should be fine to mix with radiation missile load outs.
Artificial balance
Take a rack of mavericks for SEAD but then 2 gbu12 and 2 gbu24 for tanks
