Whenever you see any form of Italian at top tier I can ensure you that they will be a good teammate. They may not carry the team like other nations easily would. But they will always drag you out of danger, always help you repair, and always be some of the best teammates around.
Unless their the skilled Italian mains (I credit myself with carrying a large majority of my games at top tier when I play Italy.) In which case they are scary powerhouses as you never expect their tanks to be so good, or in the Centauro 120s case, so survivable.
something i love to do with the cv9120 is only bringing 13 rounds. youll only have rounds in your first stage, the back of the tank is basically just empty space then. peeking corners with your rear first is possible like that, dying to one hit is very rare due to crew positions
Me who mains Japan and US top tier especially US its just pure suffering tbh i'm currently grinding Sweden just to feel the meta a bit and a better experience
Top tier Sweden is amazing, I stopped my US grind to grind out the Swedish tech trees and I swear it was like flipping a switch, I went from losing a majority of my battles to winning the majority. I’ve also found that my favorite BRs to play Sweden have been 3.7, 8.0, 8.7, 9.3, 10.0-10.3 and of course top tier.
The BILL isn't bad you just have to use it properly. It isn't good to hit center, with the carousel autoloaders for example if you hit a bit to the side you'll usually one shot the ammo. Also you can use it against targets behind cover which isn't possible with regular missiles.
I can agree with BILL isn't that bad, but the launching system usually busted, out of 10 spawns the chance i got BILL'd (the ATGM went to the ground first instead of shooting straight) is 6/10
Gotta agree with you and disagree with justin on this one, you just have aim them a bit more than regular ATGMs(not much experience with the TOW2B tho). Imo it's quite effective against ruskis and light vehicles
I think damaged optics should lose their zoom, have a crack in them and lose nightvision. The crack shouldn't be too bad though, mainly just to know it's damaged.
Or the sights are off. Knocked out of alignment. I also think hit indicators should be removed. You shouldn't be able to fire through smoke or brush and see where you are hitting.
Gaijin made a change where "destroyed" helicopters and planes will not be kicked out intil the vehicle is fully exploded or all crew knocked out so a ka-50 that is considered killed can fly all the way back to the helipad and repair even though its comsidered "destroyed".
Love your videos Justin. There are a lot of mainstream war thunder CC’s that are just not as aggressive and play very campy or just show poor content. You show the war thunders full potential as well as teaching us top tier tips and tricks.
At lower tiers Sweden you also have some pretty good stuff, the SAV 20.12.48 and the Sherman III/IV, the PBV 501 which as 300mm of pen at 6.7, and the Bkan 1C. There’s also the VIDAR and some other vehicles.

Since Swedens lower tiers are less fourtunate when it come to good tanks. I know there are a few. But they tend to be slighty to moderately overtierd. Players that have ground through the Swedish tree tend to know how to play the game not trusting the armour to work (no heavies). Also the early APDS with good pen but bad effect inside the tank teaches you to aim for weakspots and specific crew early. Then you take these well rounded players and suddenly give them really good toys at top tier. Of course they are going to do well.
Most of Sweden's top tier has been powerful for ages. Sweden bi-passed the HEAT grind when it became the new starting shell. Their 122 series has that up-armored front plate of the Leo 2 Chasses making the front plate weakpoint a no go, they got the 2A6 for the best shell in game. They got a very similar treatment to how Italy used to be (back when the CL was the best shell) and have been a very powerful nation for some time.
Leopard 2A7s and their derivatives are so frustrating to play against with anything other than another Leopard ... the upgraded hull armor + spall liners just make it more OP than T-80BVMs in their prime...
The driver gunner commander skewer is still very achievable if you have any high ground on them, otherwise I treat it the same as I treated them before, just shoot the breach and pray
@@FF-86 My 3BM60 just bounces on the ufp which has 81° angle...the front plate with addon armor is also a non pen even from 10 meters... lower front plate doesn't do anything, because i haven't seen anyone carry ammo in the hull and there's nothing otherwise...gun mantlet is diceroll that sometimes non pens or often atleast destroys the barrel...
@@interpl6089 usually it does not bounce. I have experienced it myself on several occasions. Check the A7 discussion thread in the forum and search for 'Ufp'. It has been discussed there. Its not working like in the Swedish Leos. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying the A7 is weak, but to equate it to the level of protection of Swedish Leos is simply wrong.

You can pen driver+loader+gunner and even the ammo and breech this way. 3Bm60 usually spalls really well.
They should give the 2a6 and PSO the same spall liners, it’s kind of stupid that Sweden gets the BEST leopards, BEST light tank, and the grippen, when Germany gets the worst leopards (not saying they’re bad) and no eurofighter (they should’ve just added it like the grippen with no Fox3’s)

I think having your sights knocked out would be a great addition. It would make HEAT and explosive shells more useful and it's just a cool and realistic change.
The winning conditions don't always depend on the nations in your team, i play Japan and i am almost every game top 3 or top 5 and Japan has all nations to play with, i say never mind winning just have fun and learn the vehicles you play plus the map layout and find the positions and playstyle that suits you. Hey Justin I have figured out on any T-series tank with the bill you put it just to the right of the breach and it ammo rack about 80% of the time and on Abram’s any western tank it will take two missiles to take them out
If there's one armored car/improvised vehicle that I'd love to see in the game is the Laffly W15 TCC for the French Tech Tree. It's armed with the same 47mm SA37 gun as the SOMUA S35 in an rear mounted and enclosed compartment & one 7.5mm FM 24/29 MG.
The cv90105 saved me from the expected lower-mid tier pain of grinding sweden and when i got a full lineup for 10.0, it just went smooth sailing from there on.
The swedes added their magical armor bounce technologies to the leopard 2's shot trap mechanics, and ended up making the super leopard. Now if the M1's mantlet and shot traps were properly simulated, you get similar results. albeit a clear shot into the turret ring with any of the modern tanks can do a number on the crew. Something the Strv 122bs dont have.
it's fun how people say that germany is overpowered xith 2a7v when sweden literally has 3 2a7v, a great SPAA, good CAS and good light top tier tank... I like the idea of damaged optics actually affecting you. Damaged optics would result in not being able to use thermal/night vision and rangefinder in the gunner view. IRL a tank gunner would use the oldschool backup sight aligned with the gun
don't know when the last time you did a visit/revisit to the 2S25M but gaijin gave it 3M60 so now at 10.0 it has alot more firepower than previous so i'd say give it a revisit at somepoint

Take a look at the interview of an Ukraine tank crew about the difference between 122 and the German Leo2, the only thing that was better on the leo2 was the firepower. They used the 122 primary for assault and the Leo2 for hunting, the reason was the better frontal armor on the 122.
The 9040 BILL is incredibly good in BR 10-11.7 if you use it correctly, it's especially good against russian vehicles. It does take a while to learn properly but it is my no1 vehicle as a Swedish main. You aim a bit to the side and you'll often one shot a tank behind cover and with the T-series terrible reverse, these nothing they can do about it
Just finished grinding Sweden. Sweden is the most fun nation that I grinded. At first, 1.0-5.5, the grind would be painful, and after that, it gets better when you already have 7.7. It's fun to play the Strv on the top tier; the light tank, the AA, and the medium tank are phenomenal. I used hit-and-run tactics and was able to hit a good win rate. I came from the USSR, and now that I play Sweden, I prefer it more than the Russian bias.
Thats because there isnt russian bias i am now at 8.0 ussr and its painful... Mid tier ussr used to be so good, but they raised the brs of all the IS tanks and ruined it... and 3.7 which used to be the golden tier for russia is now ruined by the premium sav.
I agree with your sentiment about the gun sights also they should implement if someone covers their gun sights with bushes he should not be able to see.
A top tier game with Sweden and Germany on the same side will win basically 90% of the time, and the odds are even more imbalanced when US is on the opposing team. I have been playing Russia and this is exactly what has been happening.
Much like how the radiator used to be just ablative armor until Gaijin linked it to damaging the engine if not repaired, I do find it frustrating that a destroyed optic can just be ignored. On the other hand, if you hate being breach-barrel tortured imagine getting literally poked in the eye. In the end of the day, War Thunder is a game that has to strike a balance between "realism" and "fun mechanics." Between having a 19 sec repair time or having to completely ditch and write-off your crippled T-90M to use your example.
Hope your gonna see this becouse the bill isnt actually "that" bad, its better to just aim to the left or right of the turret. Its just more consistent expetially with russians, it goes from killing the breach to 1 tapping
one thing I really dislike about the 122+ is the little tarp obscuring a lot of the commanders view, making it even unusable on some hills! as somehow who uses CITV often this is a real pain!
9040 BILL has top-attack missiles with 500 pen. You can easily oneshot most of the tanks in the roof. I had the most fun playing BILL, cuz you can hide turret on a slope and throw missiles with commander cam, completely invulnerable
I don't know about top tier Sweden but I do know that until the Abrams series has their turbine whine reduced to the level of other nations, the Abrams will continue to be inferior to other nations MBT's. You can detect an Abrams from almost twice the distance as you do other top tier MBT's. On top of the other gross weaknesses baked into the Abrams line, the turbine whine is a true detriment in all situations.

2A7 is nowhere near the level 122+ and PLSS. A7 can e.g. easily be penned through the UFP.

Sweden is pretty rough from 3.0-6.7, after 8.0 it's surprisingly pretty good

This thing has a bugged commander sight that makes it personally annoying to play and spade

With Finland now looking to buy a lot of American weaponry, it might actually get crazy in the Swedish tech tree.
Gaijin need to add spall liner to more vehicles that should supposedly have it (Bradleys etc.) as it seems to be a gamechanger.
The biggest downside would be the Bradly moving up in BR.

They dont need to "fix" the Ka50 as the twin propeller design is literally made to remove the need for a tail rotor

It's fun to play the Strv on the top tier; the light tank, the AA, and the medium tank are phenomenal. I used hit-and-run tactics and was able to hit a good win rate. I came from the USSR, and now that I play Sweden, I prefer it more than the Russian bias.
Thats because there isnt russian bias i am now at 8.0 ussr and its painful... Mid tier ussr used to be so good, but they raised the brs of all the IS tanks and ruined it... and 3.7 which used to be the golden tier for russia is now ruined by the premium sav.

Before. The Leopard 2A6 was already Absolute Perfection. But the 2A7 and Strv 122 works on that Perfection and makes it GODTIER.
A top tier game with Sweden and Germany on the same side will win basically 90% of the time, and the odds are even more imbalanced when US is on the opposing team. I have been playing Russia and this is exactly what has been happening.
Much like how the radiator used to be just ablative armor until Gaijin linked it to damaging the engine if not repaired, I do find it frustrating that a destroyed optic can just be ignored. On the other hand, if you hate being breach-barrel tortured imagine getting literally poked in the eye. In the end of the day, War Thunder is a game that has to strike a balance between "realism" and "fun mechanics." Between having a 19 sec repair time or having to completely ditch and write-off your crippled T-90M to use your example.
i think the bill still is a good vehicel. i got some crazy kills with the atgms when youre aiming above the vehicle.
Hope your gonna see this becouse the bill isnt actually "that" bad, its better to just aim to the left or right of the turret. Its just more consistent expetially with russians, it goes from killing the breach to 1 tapping
one thing I really dislike about the 122+ is the little tarp obscuring a lot of the commanders view, making it even unusable on some hills! as somehow who uses CITV often this is a real pain!
9040 BILL has top-attack missiles with 500 pen. You can easily oneshot most of the tanks in the roof. I had the most fun playing BILL, cuz you can hide turret on a slope and throw missiles with commander cam, completely invulnerable
This settles it, as a beginner I’m switching from grinding ussr to Sweden. I mean I basically get ussr lite version with Sweden as well
You should take a look at Israeli Top Tiers (11.0-12.3), It feels like a reskinned Italy with how poorly they both get treated by Gaijin

I don't know about top tier Sweden but I do know that until the Abrams series has their turbine whine reduced to the level of other nations, the Abrams will continue to be inferior to other nations MBT's. You can detect an Abrams from almost twice the distance as you do other top tier MBT's. On top of the other gross weaknesses baked into the Abrams line, the turbine whine is a true detriment in all situations.

I don't have any issues (besides the stab) with the bill, I infact get nukes with it regularly, but I suppose it's likely we use them differently

I noticed when playing top tier Germany the leopards help eachother, I hate how Sweden has a better leopard than Germany, they have had the 100mm extra armour for ages and only now Germany gets it on 1 tank.
