Some of the best photography I’ve ever seen. Wow!
The sign on the piano “This machine Kills fascists” is a homage to Woody Guthrie who had the same sentiment written on his guitar.
This dude is a wealth of knowledge about the specifics of how to capture amazing images with film. This channel is a fountain; stay close.
That was the most ASMR/aesthetically pleasing film photography video I've ever seen and I want more.
You make great work of the Xpan in the city. Most people usually stick to landscapes as the easiest thing to shoot but those tight city shots were framed so well in black and white.
Oh boy, those train shots!
Dude YES
Nothing can beat the X-Pan Frame. Thanks for this video!
I learnt more about film composition from this video than I have from many, many vides about the topic itself. Brilliant. I looked at your subscribers and went, "Oh mint 752k, that's a understandable," then realised. If you're ever in New Zealand and looking to shoot, that's us.
Seriously, those train shots are fabulous.
Simply beautiful! New York is gorgeous on film and the old train was just the perfect finishing touch to your shooting day! Keep up the good work.
Wow, that was amazing, loved the texture of BwXX, really good compositions!!
This is one of the best film photography videos ive ever seen, the aesthetics in this video, the editing as well as pictures. This deserves WAY MORE views, keep it up dude!
Very nice video. Always love seeing NYC on film!
I'm a simple man I see Cinestill and I click. (:
Cinestill bwxx is one of my favorite black and whites! & love the shot at 6:20!
I'll be in the city this week 22-28th & If your into moog / synth music, my friends have a show on the night of Jan 24th on Broadway st. if your down !
can't wait to get back to NYC and take some pics! great luck to come across the people dressed up on the antique train
It’s actually really depressing to watch this now, remembering what it used to be like living here only less than a year ago.
It really does feel weird re-watching it. It will come back but it sure is sad seeing what it was.
@@loganguybaker I think it might come back, but not sooner than 15 years.
I’m trying to talk my wife into moving upstate.
I love the composition at 6:15,very cinematic.
Wow, you moved right before Covid! I'm a photographer here in NY and I really enjoyed how you kept the background audio. It makes me miss pre-Covid. Hopefully, by now, you found someone to film your videos here. Recording content is complicated when you're by yourself, even though no one cares.
p.s- The couple laying below the piano know how to live life...
plus, listening to a rachmaninov prelude.
That’s one of the pianist’s parlor tricks. Go to Washington Square Park and you’ll have the chance to do the same.
Love the pano image of Colin the Washington Square pianist and those subway images are outta sight! I haven’t shot 50D yet, but I really like the other 2 stocks - uploaded a video of 800T In Times Square last week. Looking forward to more of your work here.
theoldcameraguy thank you!! Will check out your 800T video.
loved the panoramic black and white photos, great stuff man.
and the portraits too damn
I love those images at the end!
I really liked all those subway pictures!!
Can't wait for the Toronto video! Was just there with a roll of 800T myself so I'm looking forward to seeing what you came up with.
I'm based in Toronto and it's definitely a comparable playground to NYC for shooting 800T
Ayeee I love Denton! Crazy how the world has changed since you shot this. I especially loved the train ports.
The XPan shots were amazing, very nice work, I’m subscribing rn
Really love the 800t subway shots. 👌🏾👌🏾
Man, the photo at 6:38. Simply amazing
Thank you!!
I subscribed to your channel right away! The images you take with your XPAN are just stunning! Amazing work man, you‘ve got a new fan!
I was watching this video and thinking about the timing of your move to NY. Hope you’re fine and healthy! Loved your photos! 👌🏻
First time watching one of your videos, I'm a fan! Subscribed and excited to see more!
6:39 just brought me back to the Chungking Express. Great stuff.
Rad. Love the XPan shots man. Followed.
Looking forward for more content as you settle in NYC. As a Texas photog myself, to see how much you work you were able to produce here is refreshing. Truly gets me out of the occasional inspirational rut.
Frank S glad to hear it! I miss that Texas sun and sky for magic hour shots
Good ol Denton, TX. Nice culture and cold shock moving to New York. Good vid dude.
I subscribed before I even watched this because I just watched your vid from The Big Bend and am blown away by the photos you took. Looking forward to seeing where this channel goes :D
Love the X-pan shots, my favourite !! I like your style.
Thanks man!
The 800t looks better for portraits In The subway than it did in twilight on the street. Those portraits look great it's a good film for indoor lighting. Must try some myself.
For your health...
Great work brother. Hope all is well. God bless
The building fire escape photo. 😍swoon
Thanks, Judy :)
this is inspiring, thank you for your work
Dude. You gotta upload more. This is just amazing!
I miss this dude ❤
tbh I imagine myself shooting the first time in New York with at least 10 rolls on day one lol. Great stuff my guy
Just moved here to 10 is looking like a good number, Also Logan up to hanging out and shooting, also have the RZ in Brooklyn
Congrats on the new channel. Can't wait for the next video.
Bryan Scott thanks, Bryan!!

Going to NY next month to shoot. Very inspiring!
Damn, that shot at 4:50!! Awesome video!
Thank you!
Love it!! Congratulations on the move, Logan!!!
Thanks Shelby!!
Amazing photos!
Rad video Logan!
I know it can be a challenge to make a video all by yourself, but it's so great that you did it!
Very well done project. I stumbled on this from doing my own research on the Cinestill stocks. It's interesting how well the 800T handles the colors with the sun going down. Definitely will be giving these a go.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Davin! 800T is definitely my favorite film stock at the moment.
i just feel privileged being one of the early subscribers of this channel XD. great video! please keep on with it!
I miss living in NYC. I didn't shoot film when I lived there in 2012 and now I want to go back and do it all over again. I envy your new adventure. Good luck with everything and sorry about the timing, I'm sure it feels surreal to be new to the city and then locked down.
Now this is art
Wow - you really have a good eye, great photos!
I'd love to see that Toronto one!
I really like the saxophone music with the train photos. Was this the original sound at the scene there or is it from a recording?
maybe im too high... I genuinely think this is one of the most beautiful pictures and video i have seen in a while
I just found that you have your own channel, hope to see more content of you!
dont know if it was the contrasty look of the BWxx or the wide view of the Xpan. but i think i just found the next bnw film and camera to look forward to...
So so so so so so crispy, tasty, delicious, very nice. More please!
great shots! love the carroll st one because thats my stop lol
Sterling ayyyyy thanks man!
So my question is why do you only have 476 subs. I mean I’ve never been to New York but at the same time I’ve never felt closer to it than watching this video. Hope to see much more new content from you!
I also love the photo of the girl in the train!!! Great video 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very, VERY enjoyable and useful. 5 stars.
Thank you!! :)
Again, Well done!
planning to shoot some on cinestill 50d and this man is a guru to me
The image at 6:35 is beautiful! Great video :)
great discover. Nice filmmaking and great photos! +1 Sub
ahh yeah dud, didnt know you had your own channel!! just seen the vids you did over at the shutterstock tutorials!! Great job keep it up!
Great shots dude...I just picked up the cinaestill bnw .. can't wait to try it out... seems great...i live in the city (born and raised) and never got the opportunity to shoot the old trains (I always forget haha) you definitely got lucky on that..hit me up if you ever want to shoot 👊🏽👊🏽
Cool man! Jealous that no one cares about the tripod. In Paris I they spot you right away.
Come to New York and we can set up tripods all over the place :)
@@loganguybaker For real! We'll definitely have to do that this year.
Loved this, good shit 👌🏽
I have a roll of 50D that I've been meaning to try, but I've been trying to wait for the ideal conditions, tho I'm not too sure what the ideal conditions should look like tbh. I guess it's because I've heard mixed reviews about the film, which is holding me back, but I absolutely love 800T. Also, love the shot you captured at 3:43. They look like they're having a lot of fun!
Yeah I know what you mean, 50D is certainly a hard stock to shoot with in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Nice work and welcome to NYC. I have a roll of Cinestill 800T in my Mamiya 7II that I‘ve been meaning to finish off. I’d be down to link up.
Yeah Alex, would love to!
Love all the shots man. What camera and lens were you using to film the video and I would love to see your editing process?
Welcome man
What camera do you use to record the video?? Amazing pics
Dope first vid man. Will definitely give you a holla when I come to N.Y.
Yeah gimme a shout!
Hi Logan,
I am a convert and love your style. Great work.
Hi Logan! Sick video, I really enjoyed your shots, in particular I love the one at 7:05.. Damn, really sick! I have never shot Cinestill and I would like to ask you a question: the ratio of the pictures from the BWxx film are really like that, or you cropped them in post to give a more cinematic look? Just curious because they look amazing.
Thank you very much!
What I want my cinestill pics to look like. Gorgeous. Did you use a filter on the 800T. Coz the tones are like the 70s hollywood.
Gupta General Stores thank you! No filter, just great lighting down there!
INCREÍBLE PA, SOS UNA LOCURA
Such great luck to get an old train with sic rivets and passengers fully dressed up in cool outfits.
Return of the mack
Love the style! 🙌
Your video is perfect!
Subbed. Love the pics!! Mad I didn't catch the antique train myself. Would love to link sometime to shoot and talk film ✌🏻️
christopher moran lets do it!
Logan Baker ready when you are!
this video was so enjoyable
wow that pictures were amazing, how do you do to get these panoramas pictures with the bnw one ?
Piano: Soundtrack to the chaos. Did you say you were from Denton? Ever shoot with Jason Lee?
New Subscriber Here! How did you have the Double X processed? I've never seen it look so nice and so fine graned. Great video!
Thanks for subscribing! I had this roll developed by Vista + CRC Imaging Group in Manhattan. After shooting a stop underexposed for most of them, the only edit made was a slight tweak in contrast! I will say that of all the labs I've ever used, Vista had consistently given me the best results. If you're ever in nyc, check them out!
G'dayum, those Xpan shots are beautiful! Will definitely check out the BwXX. Did you send it to a lab or develop it yourself? (and if you did yourself, any preferences on developer, etc?)
Thanks, Helge! I sent it to a lab here in NY. But before I moved here, I was developing myself. I found the "Unicolor c41 kit" was decently priced and easy to work with!
Great video!
Great shots man, the first few frames on 800t were nowhere near as interesting as to the portraits around the trains. I love it when people use Cinestill in less cliche ways!
Great vid.
that asian girl with the x pan ! dude stick with the x pan , those are gold !
2:41 thought I was going to witness someone get killed by a bus. lol.
Heck yeah man. Beautiful photos. I’ll be back in August (trying to let the city cool off a little 🔥🦠 ) but when I am, I’m down to meet up and maybe do a crossover episode?
Dope video !
