I use to have a 1991 5.8L F-150 XLT,it was the best truck I ever had,I wish it had the 4.9L I6,but it still had almost 600,000 Miles on it with the 351W.Right now I have a 1992 5.8L F-250 XLT,it only has 400,000 Miles and the ZF5 Manual, but still running just fine.
Real nice job! Red and white two tone is my favourite. I did a similar job to my 94 but more involved in the rebuild and less so on the body work and paint, I had a rusty hulk to start with and was going for rust free but still work truck look. I’m glad I’m not the only one restoring the 90s model
I love that this is a 2-wheel-drive. Most people seem to want the 4x4 trucks. This thing is gorgeous! I’d rather have someone restore this truck for me, than buy a newer one.
@@life0ftiti It’s not that one would rather have a 2-wheel drive over a 4x4. Why pay the added costs of a 4x4 when you don’t need a 4x4? Most people who have them, don’t ever have a need for them. They pay thousands more for something they never use.
I have a 95 for sale, was driving daily, until the first and second gear shifting fork gave out. Watched a couple of videos on replacing it, but because of being partially disabled, I can't repair it, so I decided to sell it reasonably to someone who will keep it on the road!
My grandpa had a truck just like that he sold it 10 years ago and I found it a week ago I’m so grateful that I found it it’s gonna be my first truck I’m 14 now
Great job on the truck, the two tone sets it off. I think it also looks better without the trim on the sides. I have a 90 that I plan to improve on very soon and would like to find the factory wheels like you have on your truck.
FordTorino70 Hey brother thanks, as for the wheels they are original for the 1992, I could not find those new, not sure of the wheel style for the 1990 LMC truck sometimes has a better selection for 1990 and older.. good luck
I've got a 1992 Ford F150 xlt with a 5 liter V8 bought it for $595 to do just what you did. This is a huge inspiration. I was wondering how much it cost?
Elijah Kimble Hey Brother So how much does it cost... well I’m not an expert on restoration and did not do everything myself... I did the majority myself but not everything... so there are a lot of factors that play into the total cost of projects especially for us novice guys.... most of that truck is new... the engine is untouched because I believe the 4.9 is a great engine and will run forever.. also a lot of work was put in for rust prevention probably around $3000 alone was for rust prevention for. Frame, body, truck bed ...the rear end was rebuilt, the entire mechanical stuff of the truck was replaced minus the actual motor. The body work and paint was done by a body shop and not by me. Total cost for everything about 20000 so that includes from travel for truck bed finding, mistakes made everything .
Started working on it again, got through college so I know a little more than i did when I started. It definitely has a misfire. Was wondering if you knew the proper electrical resistance of the fuel injectors. They are kinda expensive don't want to replace them if I don't have to. Can't find a clear answer on the web.i have the 5.0 V8 but I figured the fuel injectors should be the same.
@@ashleynewbould3739 if it has the 4.9 you better get a 90° oil filter relocater my 95 has 118k and it knocks its ass off becasue over night the oil runs back into the pan so it starts dry with no oil
I really like your job and satisfied with the outcome, can you please help me in my restoration? I have 1991 f250 and I would love to do a full body restoration
Billy Brady Jr It’s no bother at all brother, so I pulled out the old order slips for the shocks, I got them from SD truck springs I’m looking at the part number from the shipping slip and this is what it said, RS5000x series shock the other number listed is RS55029
Billy Brady Jr I do not have a self leveling kit... so don’t have much info on it... I redid the truck for show not everyday driver or hauling loads, the coil springs are new and from SD truck spring
Great job! My dad just recently passed and he had a 92 f150 rocky mountain edition. Brought back some good memories
BJ Carr thanks brother sorry to hear about your dad god bless
Very sorry for your loss
You did an amazing job on that build. A ton of work and money I’m sure. End result is beautiful!
Incredible. You brought it back to life!

Why would you someone rather have a 2 wheel drive vs 4x4? This is a honest question

Just bought a 1992 Ford F-150......V-6.......for 700 bucks....should be a fun project
V6? The 1992-1997 OBS had the 4.9L I6,5.0L V8,or 5.8L V8 for the F-150.

Fucking awesome man
was the engine in pretty good shape or was that done in another video?

How long did the restoration take you brother? beautiful truck
It took awhile aug of 2017 till June of 2018 thanks for comment appreciate it brother
I meant June of 19. Almost 2 years
Its obvious you could've restored any truck so why this one, was a full restoration intentional or on second thought?
i like that era of truck, that was the biggest reason
I need you do to this for my 92 stepside
What shocks did you go with? Building a red 93 right now.
Billy Brady Jr hey brother congrats on 93.. my truck has rancho shocks
Sorry to bother you man but are they the RS 5000 or Rs 5000x? Reason I’m asking the parts store said the RS 5000x won’t fit that truck?
