After five years of Android, dealing with the heat, bugs of Pixel 7 Pro and slow shutter speeds of the S21, S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra, bought the 15 Pro Max when TMobile offered me $1000 trade in value. Samsung bloatware and empty promises about fixing photo blur pretty much pushed me to buy the Iphone.
The last 2 glitchy years with my pixel 6 pro finally pushed me over the edge to try the iphone 15 pro. along with it finally getting usb-c. Maybe Google will figure out all the pixel issues one of these days.
I'd get the regular 15 or the 14 pro as the 15 pro isn't as durable as the 14 pro after seeing the drop test between the two where the 14 pro completely dominated the 15 pro because of those rounded edges can't withstand drops like the 14pro
If u have a iphone 11 and want to upgrade and want to take on the debt then do it .. its a brighter phone , the dynamic island is cool , magsafe is cool, it has usb c and trading in ur old iphone. I traded my iphone 11 for $200 and a iphone 13 goes for $300 to trade in... so the unlocked iphone 15 is $829 + $73 for shipping so ur paying $902 for the basic iphone 15 - 200 trade in ... so $702 and that about $58 a month if credited

Exactly my thought. Pixel has this feature already. But I read somewhere that Pixel uses computational photography to achieve the blur while Apple does it thru it's hardware which captures the depth information when the photo is clicked. I'm not sure though

I am surprised at the way you guys talked about AirPods wired charging with iPhones. Did you know that you can charge a USB device using practically any mid-to-higher end android phone for more than a decade now!? Android had 'USB host' support even in android 2.1 if i remember correctly. I'm sure it was there even in the first version of android. Even modern lightning iPhones have the feature. It is just that, nobody has Frankensteined a Lightning to Lightning cable yet. Or did any?
The regular iPhone 15 and 15 plus are not getting the same sensor as the iPhone 14pro. This has been misreported by many well established tech reporters. Apple was extremely misleading this year in how they described the camera upgrade to the iPhone 15. The sensor is likely even smaller than that in the pixel 7. The main camera on the 15 pro and pro max appears to use the same sensor as the 14 pro.
It is a lot smaller than Pixel 7 regular, the sensor of Pixel 7 is just shy smaller than 14&15 Pro's sensor. Sensor in regular 15 is only slightly larger than ones on 14 and Pixel 7a.
you’re not really signing a contract, at least with t-mobile, you’re just financing the phone and have to pay it off if you cancel… you’re not paying a penalty like the old fashioned early termination fee!
Will casual camera users really care about small aperture differences, etc? Pro photographers are using professional equipment. The growing number of drop tests might reveal a more important factor in which phone to keep or switch to...or not switch. Not that you're going to dropping your phone from the heights being tested, but it can't be ignored either. If the 15 design flaw is the culprit, it makes "titanium" the most irrelevant change Apple has ever made to a product.
