@Mr Cum Either you're a troll or a kid or both, cause this comment was completely unnecessary and stupid.
MinusUltra OneForNobody imagine not getting what was obviously a joke.
I've seen someone call people "lego supremacist" for criticizing Playmobil the movie.
They also hated Lego Movie 2, which was my favorite animated movie of 2019.
Side note: The character designs of The Addams Family, at least the family themselves, were taken directly from the original comics. *And that's the problem.* They were designed for single-panel comic gags done in a woodblock art style. They were never intended to even be animated, much less in 3D, so trying to directly turn them into CGI is doomed to be janky.
Yeah it’s a really annoying problem with (relatively) smaller animation companies that think you can translate ANYTHING 2D into 3D. Wonky proportions that look fine in 2D almost always look nearly alien in 3D, and cgi must be approached from an entirely different design perspective. This same problem was evident in Norm of North, for instance.
A well-done example of this was Blue Sky's The Peanuts Movie
I went to see it with my sister, and I hated it.
I wouldn't mind the Adams family looking weird. The regular people looking weird makes the contrast between the Adams family and the rest of the world almost non-existent.
As an Addams Family fan, I didn’t even bother going to see the movie because the animation/character designs looked cheap and ugly. I got the new Funko pop of Wednesday Addams.

dpben10pwn, no, no, no, no, NOOOOO!
@Santiago Molinari You mean the actual legend in which Zeus is a rapist and Hera hates Hercules and the majority of gods are immoral beings?
dpben10pwn is the rock gonna be there again
Unpopular opinon; I feel like if Disney is gonna remake any of their old movies they should remake Hercules. I watched it for the first time on Disney plus a few weeks ago and honestly I can kinda see why it wasn't a big hit when it came out. It wasn't bad, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of it.
Most of the characters were kinda bland and generic (with the exceptions of Meg, Hades and Phil), the songs were forgettable and the animation was a bit too weird for my liking. Also I never understood the point of the Muses. Why is the soundtrack to Sister Act being used as the musical accompaniment to a film about Greek mythology?
Of course this is Disney we're talking about so they won't fix any of the issues the original had. They'll just tell the exact same story but maybe add one or two new plot points in a token effort to innovate, one of which will be something to cynically score points with the woke crowd. Take bets on what that will be, I'm predicting they'll make Agony and Strife a gay couple.(although the Ancient Greeks admittedly were pretty big on buggery so I guess it would fit).
Ah well, here's hoping they recast Danny Devito as Phil, it might be tolerable if they do that.
"I hate to be that guy, but.."
Let's be real, no you don't.
@@shu8440 beat me to it
No I'm that guy but also not, here's the few things though I like that are bad.
1. RoboCop (2014) (Never saw it, just clips like the original)
2. NeverDead (Not 100% horrible, it just didn't get fleshed out)
3. Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters
4. The Legend of Spyro (Not necessarily a bad franchise, it's still great but many don't agree)
5. Sonic 06 (The fan remake Project 06 is superior but the crazy glitches are fantastic, lots of fun things you can do with them)
6. Bionicle The Legend Reborn (I got the toys as a kid too, fight me)
7. Thor The Darkworld (Ironic because I was a negative person for a long time before coming to my senses and can handle this)
8. Sonic Forces
9. RTX Red Rock
10. Green Lantern (Come on, it's aesthetically a masterpiece and lives to the source material, doesn't look bad with that in mind)
That's about all I can think of right now but just know I have an understanding for good things too, I just clearly know how to tolerate bad and even terrible things.
If he hates himself does he hate everything?
If there's one "thing" he doesn't hate is to be that guy.

The only reason cats isn’t on this list is because why tf would anyone waste their time to watch it
Maybe it was too easy of a target
I actually watched because I was curious and let me be real, it’s not even bad. The story is rushed but besides the cat design the choreography and set look great, sort of similar to how John wick 3 used lighting.
The acting is great, and the main reason I could sit through it was because they specifically don’t do a lot of full body shots. NGL could see it becoming a cult classic

I literally forgot that existed
The Lion King bit of this video made me think about something that would've been cool I think.
If they were to make the movie this way, why not just tell the story 100% visually. If they want to go for realism, why not just have no dialogue, with only roars and grunts, and the occasional cackle. It's a mildly weird idea, but I think if it was done correctly, it could've been a worthy remake with a kind of unique spin.
...or they could've just y'know.... not remake the film
Definitely. It's like a filmmaking experiment. The audience knows the story. Could they make it work without cartoonishly personifying the animals?
But that takes time and effort. Just do what everyone knows and loves, but much worse. That's the key to success, or at least Disney thinks so.
RadioGuy but they wouldn’t have been able to cast BEYONCÉ
But that would mean having to take risks!! and we cannot possibly do that in our highly formulated and structured movie industry of [current year] now can we

Is there a particular reason that dogs have their tails docked besides aesthetics? Just genuinely curious because I don't know anything about dogs, so the only animals I know of that get docked tails actually have a reason behind it (sheep, pigs, draft horses etc). Would anyone be willing to explain the issue/pros and cons or why anyone would do it to a house pet?
Not trying to be disrespectful, just curious. Seems a bit weird to me.
@@FauxGemini the only reason i can find is if your dog is really clumsy and constantly hurts its tail in a way that would cause problems (its tail gets broken or it gets its tail caught on things and causes nerve damage). most dogs i've been around aren't that clumsy but sometimes things can happen and the larger the tail the more in the way it can get. or even if it just happens to be a one time accident.
Even if you're worried about huge tails getting in the way or getting hurt its always a better idea to just make sure your house is as pet safe as possible and if an emergancy happens- it happens. I wouldn't ever dock a dogs tail as a "what if" type thing. it sucks when animals do get hurt but docking itself causes problems so its just better to plan around things. that's the best answer i can come up with but google might have some other answers on certain breeds of dogs

This is wierd how all movies in this list lack one thing: good script.
Is it so hard to spend some production money on a decent writer? Or every time producers interfere with the script and fckd all up?
Hollywood seriously goes by visuals. They started making more CGI and less animated because they saw Toy Story do well and assumed that it had to do with the visual medium. Not the story, not the characters, but that it was cgi.
Hollywood is full of idiots who bank on the assumed idiocy/simplicity of the audience. And the shit thing, is that it works more often than not.
So close and at the same time so far away from the reality.
You hit the nail on the head about producers screwing w shit they have no business touching because they think they know what's "in".
But the writers side you went the wrong way. They do hire writers, but too many. They're trying to write by committee, which works well in tv or long form film universes like the mcu. (I personally think NOT doing this is why the DCCU failed.)
But those producers who shouldn't be allowed within a rifles distance of the script? They think because a writer's room works well for long form projects, that means it'll work better for a single film. Which is how you end up with something like 18 writers on predators, only 3 of which get credited for a script that's a total cluster fuck because everyone is trying to get their own ideas heard. It WORKS for long form because the majority of those voices get their own episode/movie to write while the lead writer adjusts the scripts they turn in to get a unified tone.
When you're trying to cram 15 people's ideas into one script with no real guiding force except "money" you end up with something like Dark Phoenix.
So ther problem isn't not having decent writers to hire. Its hiring too many at once.
@@vixxcelacea2778 much like fun guy, you're so close, yet so far.
The reason for the turn toward vfx heavy productions has little to do with saving money. (Costs more actually). It has to do with expanding the audience. The more of a story that can be told purely through visuals, the less localization work you have to do, which makes it easier to release in countries like China, Brazil and India. The number of people watching the visually heavy movie by FAR offsets the costs of vfx production. Along with expanding the free marketing they get on a global level.
It amazes me that rich people with no writing background or passion for story telling think they can tell a WRITER how to improve their SCRIPT.

I existed all throughout 2019, and I heard NOT A THING about "Stuber."
Surprised it was on the list. Angry Joe called it the best comedy of the year, before realizing he forgot about Jojo Rabbit. But 2nd best comedy can't be that bad.
3/13/2020 edit: I have since had the chance to watch Stuber for myself. My wife and I enjoyed it. I don't think that I would put it on a top 15 movies of the year list, but it wouldn't come close to a top 10 worst movies list either.
I remember seeing adverts for Stuber all the time before it came out, but I completely forgot them once I started getting Grammarly ads instead
I thought it was coming out in 2020 because when my friend and I saw the sonic movie, a trailer for Stuber played. We could not stop laughing at the main character’s head shape. Thumb person lookin ass
Same here. Was shocked that it was on the list after Joe sang it's praises.
@@TravJam317 Angry Joe reviewing movies makes me question what a "review" even is. Is it really a review if you just absentmindedly watch a film with your friends and then babel on camera about it for thirty minutes? He doesn't seem to have a strong knowledge of cinema. I don't think saying your opinions on camera equates to a review if their is no critical thinking, intelligent thought process, or base knowledge of the medium behind it. I could get the same insight from talking to a friend or person on the street.
IHE: “They’ll just remake it again in a couple of decades.”
Hollywood: We’re doing a sequel.
I was like "you mean couple of years?" 😄
Sad thing is...it's actually true
Sequels don't mess with the originals in quite the same ways and can be a chance for improvement. It's why a lot of people are supporting the Sonic movie.
Zachary Jarocki the Sonic movie was pretty bad so there is a lot of room for improvement
@@extremelyonline Eh...not really...it was okay. Fun, just formulaic as hell. At the very least, it can tell a cohesive story.

I don't know... I kind of was in awe at the beauty of the latest Lion King the first time I saw it, although I 100% agree that Disney revamping all of their old movies is stupid, and just a cash grab for those of us who have nostalgia for the classics.
i dont think its for nostalgic purposes (although a few of those movies do have that effect) i think its so that the newer generations can also grow up with these movies but in a way that it will also be special to them
Yeah, kinda liked it aswell. Idk why so many people are saying the CGI is bad.
@@PhilipFry. they just want 90s
U forgot the movie CATS, oh wait u never saw it that’s not surprising
MarcusCobra Cats 2019 is the result of “let’s just slap A list celebrities in a movie and hope we get lots of money”
I think the only reason people watched cats was to see just HOW bad it was 😂
Those of us that have seen it can never forget the nightmares that haunt our sleep
A list? More like B or even C.
I actually LIKED Cats
The worst thing about the live action DISNEY remakes isn’t even the fact that that they’re trying to weaponize nostalgia. They’re just trying to keep their copyright from going into the public domain. I love Disney but Jesus Christ
Most of their stories already are in the public domain....
@@himedo1512 which is probably why they're trying to save what they can right now
@@AJ69238 making it again doesn't make it not public domain. These fairy tales have been public domain for a long time. The grimm brothers published there stories in the 1800s. Disney only has copyright over their specfic version of the story.
Also let’s not forget that the Lion king is a 100% stolen movie
"Prevent the copyright from going in the public domain", what, like the Jungle Book (originally written in the 1890s) or Aladdin (written in the 18th century)? Those stories were in the public domain before the public domain was invented
Creatively bankrupt must be one of the best phrases I've heard in a while
5:00 This particular “The Adams Family” art style was actually based on the original New Yorker margins cartoon that ran for some 40 years or so from around 1910-1950 (I forgot exactly), and was the entire basis for the 60s TV show. It was so odd yet so popular and most odd of all, had nothing political whatsoever.
So, I don’t know if Tim Burton had access to old New Yorker magazines, maybe in his grandfather’s attic, or if they had ever previously been reprinted (as the show more imitates the tone than CAN physically imitate the style, but they did their best), but this style definitely existed before he was even born.
about the lion king remake: awful colors. nature looks better than what they’ve done. much better
It just looks so fucking dull
I call it Brown: The Movie.
Umm, Nature is supposed to look better than anything.
for some reason, people seem to associate "realistic" with "brown". did it in games, doing it in movies. but very little of earth is actually brown, the savanna is fucking yellow most of the time.
The original lion king is so colorful and the animals feel more alive than the remake.
Remakes are just the worst. I'm sick of their existence. Every time they just make a movie that is worse than the original. Why?
These film studios, especially Illumination: *Hello, I like money*
Agree👍
TheShocker Couldn’t have said it better.
Why do we bother remaking great movies? It's almost practically guaranteed to be worse. We should be remaking bad movies instead but this time realising what went wrong.
Everyone to Disney: What inspired you to make an uneccesary remake of an already amazing and beloved movie?
Disney: *Money!*
And, over a year later, that YMS video still isn't finished. Thanks, Kimba!
You know it's bad when George Lucas not even trying with the prequels ends up so much better than when Disney actually tried with the sequels. At least the guy admitted his mistake with the sequels and promises to try and fix it again in the future. That future that was then stripped away when Disney showed up and fucked everything and made billion off it, because Disney isn't a person with any kind of vision, it's a cynical soulless corporation with the intent and will to sacrifice anything and anyone for the sake of self profit, and has been that way since the beginning. Isn't it weird how the second Disney showed up, nearly all competition fizzled out of existence? All the animation studios and their owners just got erased except for the guys who made Betty Boop for some reason? Is no one gonna talk about how sus Disney was when it first started?
After my family watched the Aladdin remake my dad said “my favourite character was the carpet”. That sums it up quite well.
This made me lol
Mine was the sand. It acted better than the rest of the cast
Just A Guy Who Kills Rebels For Fun yeah, it was smooth, and powdery and stays in one place, if you get what I mean.
The only thing that actually looked good in live-action.
Just A Guy Who Kills Rebels For Fun it’s course it’s rough and it gets everywhere tho

"Its fine to be yourself even if you're a freaky weirdo who scares everyone and cant function in normal society" was an amazing synopsis
Also, in The Lion King (2019) they sing “can you feel the love tonight” *DURING THE DAY*
That sound you know Disney is just there for the money let's start a movement impeach the mouse
Shows that don’t care about the detail and just pushed out the movie for a quick cash grab
I already didn't like the live action movie since the trailer came out, well guess what... I WAS RIGHT

I STILL feel like the should remake these Disney movies like the way they made frozen or tangled! It would look so GOOD and UNIQUE and COLOURFUL instead of boring and grey and dull.
Why does no one talk about how adorable his corgi is?
moral of the story: LET IT DIEE
we dont really asked for a lion king remake or an aladin remake, stop milking franchises!!!!
RIP MIB you will never be forgotten :,(
I liked the Aladdin remake ..........
the queen cece so did I
It goes to prove that there's more to capitalism than the simple demand and supply concept. Big companies have no interest in delivering what you want or what you asked for. Their interest is in making you buying whatever product they put out and they can persuade you to do that through the miracle of marketing.
LET IT DIE, LET IT DIE, LET IT SHRIVEL UP AND DIEEEEE
Now we’re getting a Live-action Mulan movie...
This is what I consider most (if not all) the Disney Remakes to be:
-Unnecessary
-Banking off on Nostalgia
-Addressing issues with the original that didn't need to be addressed.
New "live action" Little Mermaid
Everything is CGI
Completely old song material
All men expect fish woman to fail at everything, and she doesn't so this is somehow good
She is a lesbian, Ursula is black and the crab is mentally handicapped
Don't forget "soulless".
Idk. I enjoyed the aladdin remake. It wasn't the best thing ever, but I still liked it.
Ghost City will Smith was really fun like he always is
Everything else was kinda bland
And why are people surprised? The Aladdin Remake has a better audience score on Rotten Tomatoes than the original and made more money than it so why are people surprised? I hate when Disney keeps doing this too, but I don't get why people keep moaning at them for doing it as we ain't showing signs that we even hate them. The Jungle Book Remake earned a fucking billion for crying out loud and even the shitty Sonic movie has broken world records for the money it's earning and has a higher auidence score than fucking Apocalypse Now! That is absolutely disgusting.
I can’t be the only one that as soon as that yellow LEGO board was put on screen my eyes instantly crossed

I'm glad that Larva is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
Treasure Planet is my absolute favorite Disney movie and it is my hope that because it flopped so bad, Disney won't do a LAR.
Talk about a blessing in disguise
Disney set it up to fail so... yeah.
Atlantis and Herkules also were great and hopefully will never get tainted by a remake because they were no cash cows.
Treasure planet is AWESOME
It's a shame that the sequel got cancelled because the movie flopped
A LAR of Treasure Planet specifically, no; but since its an adaptation of Treasure Island, you should expect someone to revisit the property again.

Yeah that movie took me for a ride. Tried to watch it when it first came out but only got to the part where she is in the world with the button eyes for the first time. Then I was outta there :D Watched it the first time, for real, a couple years ago. I got very used to horror in movies. I don't enjoy the typical horror gerne. But some shows/movies have a lot of horror elements but are still very good story wise. That's when I could ignore the scary stuff and focus on the story and on the hero of the story. When it still got too bad I think about how good the creators of the specific movie/show are, and that it's all fake xD Just because I'm a wuss, doesn't mean I wanna miss all the great stories out there.
