Interesting video. Personally I prefer a bicycle. You only have the cost of buying it and you can do most repairs on your own. It's even more practical and you don't have to charge it. Biggest benefit, you get in shape.
I agree plus there is no range limit to it as far as you feel like you can go, There is literally unlimited energy being used besizes your own body and endurance.

5:55 Not to mention that the large battery in an EV is more environmentally destructive than the little guy in the scooter, the mass of the EV makes it more dangerous to pedestrians, and the wear and tear on infrastructure is far lighter on a scooter!
Im really debating ditching my 50km a day, round trip to work (which costs me $19 AUD a day in parking and tolls ALONE - not including fuel), to a short 5km each way e scooter commute to the train station, to get the train to work.
Considering that ex rental fleet e-scooters can be had for far less than regular versions, l say let it be until time comes that competition scooter prices to drop as manufacturing increases. Getting government to chip is isn't always a good thing.
Just because you spend that much money on a bus in a year doesn’t mean you have that amount of money everytime, A bus only cost 2.50$ for adults and if you use it to two times that’s 5 dollars for everyday you take the bus and how much you spend doesn’t always stay the same.

@@jaro6985 that dude just does not get the economics of stupid government subsidized public transport. He does not get the fact that you paying $2.50 is not really just $2.50, it also includes the amount of taxes you paid as subsidies to operate the bus system according to the contractor's operating costs, which could be above $2.50. So it's Lose-Lose. The people think they're saving money taking the bus but they're paying more tax money to achieve that illusion. And that's not factoring in the possible corruption among the employees of the mass transport system.

Now your calculation is for merely a year and does not also factor in the inflation and it's widespread influence on contractor operation costs, maintenance costs etc that the government will need to adjust their subsidies from YOUR taxes just to give you the $2.50 bus fare. If you still do not get how subsidies work, imagine this: Say a government program was established to sell beef to people using subsidies. So they sell you beef @ $1.50, when the current market value is $5.00 per lb. That means your government is bleeding more of your tax money every time they subsidize.
Hello Nic, Can you speak about the batteries between the Segway and the City Pro. When I look at specs from Segway the range of operation is quiet big -10 to 40C. And for your city pri is between 10 to 25C

Calgary you can ride 5-10k to the train get off the train and another 10-15k to work, plug in and get off work and do the same! Subsidies on the transit pass to make it even cheaper😂 who drives anymore?
@@nicthedoor I had one of these and i can confirm, they mow through ice and snow like its nothing. First time I stopped with one of these was evil due to me not realizing how slippery it actually was until i tried to put my foot to the ground.

I have an eScooter and bike, but the eScooter is easier to use because I can go faster without sweating and take it inside with me most places

Crazy that we subsidize cars and not escooters or ebikes. I even save money vs taking the bus, $1400/yr can easily get you a bike or scooter.
