  • Loom has superior graphics, soundtrack, and an ironclad scenario. It also adds a little touch of its own to the point & click adventure games, with a unique user interface based on musical notes.
All these aspects put together make Loom an outstanding game despite its few drawbacks, the main one being its simplicity level. So let’s dive deeper into this mysterious and enchanting universe.
ZERO footage from emulators was used to make this video!
Only the actual CRT screen pixels are shown!

Loom was one of the first PC games I played. I still have it in my Steam account and played it last year.

I played LOOM on my Amiga 500 many times.
And it's still a legendary classic game.

This is a great video! How did you get such an amazingly clear capture of the CRT screen? I have been trying to record CRT screens for a little while, and I can get the framerate matching and it looks okay, but the colors look washed out.

He most likely uses a capture card on the PC and connected the output of the computer into the capture card.

No, "he" doesn't. His only interest, as he stated in the About section of his channel, is to play with genuine hardware in authentic conditions. That's why he spends all his money into costly retro stuff and his wife's mad at him. And it's very difficult indeed to capture accurate pictures.

@Haeflin Thanks a lot, that's appreciated all the more because we touch the very essence of all my efforts on this channel: to fully master CRT screen filming, and to become the reference channel about it.
I understand what you say because I have the same issues, and it's only after hours of testing and fine-tuning that I get something correct. Great video. I remember trying to run the demo of game on my 386 back then. But i did not manage to run it. Its a beautiful game and a masterpiece. Amazing Boxart and packaging! The great thing is that you can play the game with the hightest specs too.

Thanks George. You were lucky to have it on a 386. Although it runs just fine even on a 8086 too.

Loom is a good example of less > more.
