    Back to watch this for a 3rd time 😁👊 Crazy cool how this card could be a way to cash out Aeroplan miles from other programs that have Air Canada as a transfer partner 😮 ✈️💵 All benefits considered, this may be one of the best airline credit cards ever launched.

    • @dariosanchez7699
      @dariosanchez7699 2 года назад +1

      But the thing I have trouble understanding is that it seems the bang for your buck on the points is less than other airlines. United seems to give better returns. Maybe it is better instead to have a credit card that gives points with better redemption rates? I'm really on the fence on this card although I really want it.

    • @MarkReese
      @MarkReese 2 года назад +3

      @@dariosanchez7699 - Most air miles have variable rates, which is why we talk about them in terms of average values. You might get 0.8¢ per United mile on one itinerary, but might achieve 2.2¢ per United mile on another.
      Since there's no set value, it's based on the itinerary you build, the alliance partners involved, seasonality, cabin / class, and more.

    A travel card giving flight certificates? Very interesting! Love to see something new.

    As a Canadian, this absolutely infuriates me that Americans are getting incredible cards for CANADIAN AIRLINES like this for $95......with huge bonuses and even status. It's legit a joke at this point and our Canadian card market just fuckn sucks. Aeroplan knows 99% of Americans who get this card won't ever fly air canada so they getting status doesn't really matter but like what the fuck

    Use the Venture or Venture X to buy discounted Aeroplan points at 2X.
    Transfer your Capital One miles to Aeroplan. Use the pooled Aeroplan miles to book discounted flights.
    Minimum bonus points Air Canada gives you for buying Aeroplan points is 45% extra points.
    Aeroplan points are worth 1.7X to 1.9X.
    When you buy them with a Capital One 2X card and do the math you're going to end up getting 15X.
    What's the best Chase card?
    Chase Aeroplan MC
    3X Groceries Aero Miles
    3X Dining/Del Aero Miles
    3X Air Canada Aero Miles
    1X Everything Else

    Could you please cover what someone starting from college should do? 🙏🏽 Should i go for a student card if I’ve never even had an SSN or any type of history until junior year of college (as an international), or will I automatically be denied? In that case, should I do a secured card, or should I find a card to be a authorized user on? I already got denied for the deserve edu twice, and I am not sure why, but I am getting a job soon, along with a SSN and I don’t know what I should do. If I do go for a student card, should I go for the freedom student? Is it worth it to increase my chances for a freedom flex/unlimited as a next stop given my situation^? Will I even be approved for the chase freedom student? I’ve had a chase student checking and student savings account for 2 years, does that change anything? Lastly, is there a starter card you recommend that I have better chances of getting approved for given my situation? Also, would the chase freedom student card block me from getting other important chase intro bonuses??

    Hi Sebby, I'm really at a loss here in terms of this card.
    On the one hand, two travel certificates sound amazing. But when I look to theoretically book tickets from the USA to Asia or Europe, each of the prices comes out to about 50K to 55K points one way. It seems really odd as United has these flights for 38.5K, which seems like such a deal.
    It just gives me the impression that maybe the Air Canada points are a bit inflated compared to United? In terms of the certificates they would be valuable still but wouldn't it be better to get a different airline card instead like Iberia which gives you the points?
    I keep going back and forth on whether or not I should apply lol. So tough.
    Help me great Sebby God!
    PS Question (Why does United sometimes jump from 38.5K Miles one day and then 250K miles the next? Their pricing is really weird.)

      My guess is it only works if you can book the partner airline online (i.e. If you can search and book the flight on air canada with aeroplan points). Probably won't work for partners that require you to call that partner to book.

    • @jacobphillips1527
      @jacobphillips1527 2 года назад

      I typed a detailed response but RUclips keeps deleting my comment? So.. in short version, no. Etihad would have no control over the aeroplane points. Some of Etihad’s flights would appear on aeroplane, and you would book online with aeroplane, or over the phone with aeroplane, to get that etihad flight.

    The fact that you can use PYB with travel costs here is interesting. So if you have the CSP, could you transfer points here and then use these points at 1.25 cpp? I hadn't thought about the MR to Aeroplan...I'll need to keep an eye out for this card.

    • @miketimmerman6336

      If I am reading this right, I might now be able to transfer MR to Aeroplan, book Hyatt with Aeroplan, PYB at 1.25 cpp and also have 1 Aeroplan and 5+WoH points per $ instead of just transferring to Hyatt from UR. How would this not be a massive devaluation of the Chase system?
