    Cool. I have to replace mine on my 08 Cobalt SS. It's been knocking for some time and my steering wheel shakes when braking. I always thought it was the rotors but the one day I checked and my lower bushing is just toast lots of play there. Also am on my 3rd set of rotors and they always shake. Been low on money but gotta get it done.

      that is the thing, cars are so expensive is insane. I tell everybody that I got into one of the most expensive things I could have

    YLs. I mean I haven't checked the prices other side. But the mechanic told is better to do both sides. I did check it in the one who they replaced looks straight. In the other side is a little bit twisted not to much tho. Probably I need to replace the arm control. And struct as well. The rooters I changed them last year on the summer. It hasn't been a year since I changed them. Or you think it might be the arm control or rooters. What shakes I feel it's not the tired it has something to do with the arm control struct. That's were I feel it shakes. But it doesn't do any loud noise. But I probably gonna end up paying for the mechanic to do the other side. I have no other choice.

      It might be that control arm, it’s extremely hard to tell you if I can’t inspect it. But if you notice those issues with it being twisted it might be it. Remember whenever you switch any of the suspension parts you have to align them

    YLS mechanic. I hit something I already fix one side of arm control. But Everytime I drive it shakes a little bit. You think I should fix the other side as well on the control arm. You think that's why it shakes cause I need to replace the other side of control arm.

      Hey what’s up Jose? Quick question, what shakes? Not sure if you aligned it after wards, Some times this can give you vibrations and other loud noises. I would personally jack up the car and use a pry bar to see see if the other one is bad. Check your rotors, the brakes, and your tires. If they are bald they can cause vibrations too

    YLS. I already fix it. But it still shakes. It probably might be the rotors or brakes. Or probably a censor. Because I had in accident with it. I hit a wheel on the freeway. But am a try to renew the brakes or rooters or censor to see if that is the problem. Cause Everytime I push on the brakes it shakes from the driver's side.

      Yeah if you’re pressing the brakes and it shakes it’s most likely your rotors. If you press the brakes and your steering wheel shakes I’m almost sure it’s that

      @@ylsmechanic7277 a bro. Why when I drive my car on the freeway it shakes a little bit. Only from the driver's side. I already fix the structs. In did alinen up. In there's a light that comes once in a while saying something about service esc is off. You think it might be the censor.

      I would talk to the mechanic that did the job. You can actually turn it off manually. I’m not sure if he did or not. But with his scanner he should be able to tell you.
      And about the shake, I would personally would jack up the car and check if there is any play on any part such as the sway bar links, tirods, Any bushing under there. If there’s any play that could be the problem.

    How can I find a replacement BOLT for the control arm?

    • @ylsmechanic7277
      @ylsmechanic7277  Год назад

      Hey Pam, Napa usually has everything. But I would go to a junkyard because it’s inexpensive for a bolt

    Should replace both sides at the same time even if the other side seems okay.

    • @ylsmechanic7277
      @ylsmechanic7277  3 года назад

      necessarily you don't have to, only reason I would is because if one is worn out the other one "might" but you don't have to.

      @@ylsmechanic7277 Would you replace one old shock and not the other side? Yes, you don't have to, but why have one side with old bushings and the other new. Just my opinion of course.

      @@felony53 well for your information I suggested that to my customer and that's the reason I did both but I only showed one because is the same thing and the video would be too long. now if the customer doesn't have the money to do so because they have a life to sustained, im not going to lie and tell them they have to change both. im just an honest mechanic, and that's my opinion of course.
