2007 Chevy HHR Control Arm replacement!
U must have something strong to support the door before doing this
The good old reliable jack handle
2015 Avalon hybrid limited repair for me. I had 4 bolts holding steering wheel in place. 2 hours later I am on a test drive and its all good. I loved his advice about putting that thing on the motor not in the steering column !! I am 2nd owner of this car ...When I got mine apart I saw a that there were pieces and a solid piece so I thought WTF used a air compressor to remove junk. put in where he said ... cant believe how long I put this off for a 2 hour fix!!
Thank you so much!
My pleasure!
this noise has been driving me crazy for 3 years in a 2012 SE. No mechanic in South Florida wants to deal with it.
Putting south Florida mechanics on blast 😂
audio a lil too silent brother
Thank you for the feed back, I will turn the db’s up on the next one
Thank you. It was exactly what you described. Went together perfectly
Happy to hear I could help
What about the inner tie rod?
Great question, and a devastating answer. Sadly Toyota does not sell any inner tie rods. And neither do aftermarket stores. So we are stuck with two options. Get used inner tie rods or buy a whole steering rack from Toyota🤦🏽♂️ they did us dirty on that
At the hard part ya show a dog rolling instead of yourself flaying around!!
Editors doing me dirty
Whats up Scion bro ....
What’s up brother!!!
Can you help me with the part numbers please
I need the input shaft bearing part number
I got you
Input shaft bearing front is part # 90363-27002 Input shaft bearing rear is part # 90363-35068
I would recommend switching those two and the two on the output shaft bearing. About 30$ bucks each and having the transmission out already. Might as well
@@ylsmechanic7277 thank you I got the one that Toyota had a tsb on I’m pretty sure it’s that one that is making the noise I uploaded a video on my channel of it
doubt you will respond after 3 years. but would a whirring noise when the clutch is engaged. and only goes away when the clutch pedal is pressed indicate this issue?
If you press the clutch and the almost grinding noise goes away, that would be the input shaft bearing. That’s inside of the transmission. If you go on and decide to take the transmission it would be cheaper to have someone install them with the transmission off already. If you decide not to do it yourself
Appreciate the videos homie I just got a 2011 tc last month.
Welcome to the tC family!
does anyone know if toyota fixed this issue in the updated version of this gearbox, item no. 30300-21170 ?
Going to be honest, I have no clue if they have
@@ylsmechanic7277 Do you know if Toyota even makes that info public anywhere when they update a part - what was changed/fixed? Seems hard to find if they do.
Why the f-k do you have one air pod in your head?
Listening to Katy Perry 😂
Thanks for your help brow that really helps me
No, thank you! Reason I do it.
So what did you spend the $4 dollars on?
i thought that was a tattoo 😂
😂😂
Is that a Tsudo catback? Or…
Yes brother, love the deep tone that it has. Car doesn’t have that much power but i love the sound a car makes. Never liked the loud raspy sound a straight pipe makes with low power cars, but that one just worked
I really appreciate this video for 3 reasons. 1 you don’t skip steps even if you think it’s something obvious or silly. 2 it’s a gen 2 tc which are definitely better but lacking in the available upgrade market and videos of people upgrading compared to gen 1. And 3. It’s good to see someone who is also in the rust belt or close to it. I’m in PA and sometimes 70% of the job is getting the old part off. I heard a mechanic in the background of a donut video the other day say “putting the new part on always is harder and takes longer than getting the older part off” I wanted to roll on the floor laughing because dude probably has never worked on a car that wasn’t from CA, NV, AZ, or TX. So it’s good to not only see the exact same car as mine (I have ‘12 tc) but also in roughly the same condition. I got BC Coilovers coming so I’m gonna check that video series next.
Thank you!! Believe it or not you made my night. Making me remember why I make videos like these.

What you mean
Send it bro lol
Legend says, that I sent it lol
Yeah and tell that one girl let it happen
No permission needed lol
Lord Ugo has already commented on this one. There are no cones signifying it's even there, but if you know that it's there and come back to jump it on purpose, you're at fault. Then again, this looks like a 25mph area, if you're going fast enough to ramp off that, you're going well faster than the speed limit.
The speed limit is suggested lol
@ylsmechanic7277 yellow is suggested, white is legal limit. Though it's kinda dumb when you realize how they actually come up with the speed limits in the first place. They (used to) let people test drive the street at various mph, then record the speeds and drop the top 15% of speeds and mark the 85th% as the "Safe Speed Limit". Now they have a formula. But didn't stop them from putting a 15mph sign on a road near where I live.
Well, really first thing you wanna do is take the old ones off.
Or is it?😳
Simply inserting the key into the car has left the chat
Specially with these electric cars being forced on us
I don’t get it, am I missing something?
There was no battery in it to begin with. So of course it wasn’t working.
WTF?
Just to clarify, it’s cease right?
The correct way, yes. I used seized cause I work on cars. Like seized brakes. Dumb joke I know
Hydroscoptic marzel vein Flutionium actuator isn’t working mate

I’m about to replace my transmission cuz mine fucking blew apart 🤦🏽♂️ also putting in a new clutch kit. This video was the best one I’ve seen showing how to take the tranny out thank you so much like actually bro thank you
Thank you for reminding me why I take the time to record. I’m glad I was able to help.
Awesome video man 👍🤘
Thank you brother
You didn't show shit
That was not a fix, its a replace. thumbs down to you!

You didn't even explain anything. Did you buy a new visor or just tighten it.

How can I find a replacement BOLT for the control arm?
Hey Pam, Napa usually has everything. But I would go to a junkyard because it’s inexpensive for a bolt
