Retired FBI Agent Breaks Down Spying & Surveillance Scenes From Film & TV | WIRED
Those are exactly the glasses I expected a spy to wear
I know right! I was kinda thinking it had a build in camera and microphone recorder secretly in it.
Not a spy, but I get what you’re saying.
Hahaha, the last thing a spy wants to be wearing is the thing anyone expects him/her to wear! LOL That's what made the tv series The Americans so realistic,
Lol Edna "E" Mode 🤣
I am staring at her cool glasses... But also I like her positivity and wealth of knowledge...
Anti-surveillance glasses.
Justin Benjamin they aren’t doing a very good job then... if the camera is able to see her face 🤣
You wouldn't guess she was surveillance agent
Personally, I look at those glasses and think how much electronic surveillance gear could fit in that nose bridge. If I were a criminal, I would not say anything to anyone wearing glasses unless they were no frames or wire frames. BCG's or glasses like that... I'd say, nice seeing you, and split.
equesdeventusoccasus plot twist: Google Glass 2.0.
Can we PLEASE get another video of her discussing her job & stories of cases she worked?? She's fantastic, thorough, & I'm sure she's had some incredible experiences to share.
Most of the things you mentioned are still probably classified and unfortunately not likely to happen
Rhonda is so cool and definitely knows her stuff. Please bring her back for more Wired

No one looks at Burn Notice when reviewing spy shows.
I love this series in Wired and I'm really happy to see they're featuring more women expert in different fields. Especially ones that are male dominated.
Ransom by Mel Gibson?
She was trained by Donnie Brasco himself! This woman is so cool. I agree with everyone who wants her to come back. Do a Part 2, please!
Man that is pretty awesome
She did a wonderful job without exposing any secrets.
recently
No wonder why i got here so early
My fbi agent wants me too see this
It's nice knowing they care about my entertainment.
Yeah
Your NIA agent
Your NASA agent
"You don't want (them) to be like Gary Busy." - that's a good attitude in general.
Where's the lie? 😆😆😆
Same goes for “Mark Wahlberg’s character was not helpful“
I mean, YOu'd never be bored if you were hanging with Gary
You left out the "e" in Busey. Now, Gary Busey is going to over bite you.
first thought: she doens't look a lot like a special agent
second thought: maybe that's exactly why she can be a good special agent 🤔
We need Gordon Ramsay rating cooking scenes
Have you seen him on insta, rating Tik tok cooking scenes? So gooood!
@@daviesdavies538 that's the point. He knows how to give a five star!!!!!
Agreed, especially the films that are about chefs. His series on TikTok is amazing, but I would love to see him in one of those videos
Matty Matheson would be awesome too
Definitely bring her back! She's awesome and so knowledgeable in her field
This lady is so cool! She's easy to listen to. I love these videos!!
She was trained by Donnie Brasco himself! This woman is so cool. I agree with everyone who wants her to come back. Do a Part 2, please!
"You want everything charged up".... And my phone just pops up "battery low. Phone will turn off in 30 seconds"😂
I have to commend Wired for their consistently great casting. Agent Reese is yet another professional that you can tell has all the legit experience, is really clear and engaging in how she speaks, and knows how nit-picky to get based on the seriousness of the scene.
00:15 in and this woman already brings a smile to my face. I love these videos.
This has very quickly become my favorite series to watch on RUclips
I’ve never seen nor heard anyone be so happy to say their name
I want to see her and the CIA Chief review scenes together! They’re both so badass
Everyone is talking about her glasses and ignoring that giant stone on her chest that's a secret container. The glasses are to distract you.
This was one of my favorites hopefully she will be back reviewing more clips, super interesting.
Yes! I hope she comes back too! She was great to watch and listen to.
I’m not trying to sound creepy, and Idk why but she looks like she gives GREAT hugs.
She has that grandma look!
It's her reassuring demeanor. I agree with you
Yes the demeanor of a mother-figure to weaken your defense
I agree, just a all around comfy look, kinda like mom, grandma or even a favorite teddy bear. 😊
She does seem warm (´・ᴗ・` )
I’d love to see a pro breakdown of the bugging episode of The Sopranos (S. 3, ep. 1). Most of the episode focuses on the procedures the FBI follows in getting legal permission, surveilling the Soprano family, and sneaking into the house to hide a microphone. It would be cool to see how much the show got right about real-world bugging/surveillance.
I love this series in Wired and I'm really happy to see they're featuring more women expert in different fields. Especially ones that are male dominated.
was just typing something similar when i decided to scroll down. haha =)
couldn't overnight Rhonda a nice mic for the recording?
This lady should have her own RUclips channel!
Can you add the list of the movies in the description or maybe by the end of the video with the scenes? I often realise by the end of the scene analisation I would like to watch that movie but I have to rewind to catch it correctly. :) Thank you! Great stuff as always!
v lazy huh
destopher It’s called convenience
This woman is amazing! She has so much insight on every scene.
I love these episodes discussing real life cloak and dagger techniques. Vanity Fair also do some as well. Lots of fun to watch.

"Just because you aren't paranoid doesn't mean that I am not following you!" - Former surveillance investigator 25 years
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm not followed!
I would love her back on Wired (she was so lovely and knowledgeable), but next time can we mic her? The audio in this was trash 😒
also you'd think after multiple people telling y'all to stop randomly freezing the speaker's face mid speech that y'all would've knocked it off by now 😤
I’m guessing audio was probably not great because it was remotely filmed due to Covid virus.
@@onionhead5780 well yeah, but send her a $80 mic or something
Yes! Definitely have her back on! She was amazing and so much fun to listen to!
You'd think people would stop complaining over free entertainment.
@@fortifarse Wasn't aware that giving feedback and criticism was not allowed. Noted
Served in the FBI for over 34 years..
So, since her birth?
Black don't crack.
@@MK_Ultrautism funny, people think I'm 16-20 when I'm actually 26.
Right! Lol she doesn’t look old enough.
@@sydneyw4282: She is 56 easily...Probably got recruited the year after college, or so.
I’m so happy to see a real black female former FBI agent give info. about surveillance. What a great role model for young black women.
No need to be racist and sexist about it. Maybe we all can do much better by not focussing on the things that we accuse others of emphasizing on.
@@ApoorwVikramDwivedi yeah
Yessss 👏👏👏 so empowering 😌
FBI is a racist organisation. Were responsible of killing our black leaders. Joining the FBI as a black person is a betrayal to the black community.
Please have her review some of the episodes of Burn Notice!!
Cloud77 Hot yes!
She recording us with those glasses
rhonda is awesome! i’d love to see more wired episodes with her in it ✨
She looks like a bit older Kelis. Good stuff.
This was one of my favorites hopefully she will be back reviewing more clips, super interesting.
Whenever I come across a random van, I glare at it for a moment. Wondering if anyone is in there 😂
Take a shot every time there's a cut when Rhonda talks
Not enough people talk about ‘In Too Deep’ it’s a great movie.
Oh she was great!! This was a terrific video. I hope she’ll do more!
Love her handcuff eye glass frames
"There are a lot of people around. They are dancing and having a good time. It is not a place to be" 😂😂😂
Right before the BlacKkKlansman clip played, I got an ad with Spike Lee in it.
I'm guessing Ms. Reese did undercover as a minor, because even now there's no way anyone would look at her and think she'd been working for 34 years.
Very interesting insight into surveillance in real life. I suspect if Hollywood portrayed everything 100% accurately, though, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun to watch.
Please bring Rhonda Glover Reese back!!! We like her!
She served for over 34 years!!! Oh my gosh, she looks like she's in her 30's.
LoL 30s?? come on.. Young looking woman though for sure
@@HankHill1 she looks really young to me.
@@shecamt I hope to age as well as she has!
This woman is fierce!!!!!🔥
Can you please fix the audio balancing? I have my volume right up to hear the expert and then the clips are screaming in my ear.
Someone somewhere is watching her in this video thinking “sheeeeeeeeit”
Daniel Radcliffe’s American accent is scary good
She was pleasant and smiling like an HR or something.
I never thought I’d locate a FED that I liked, but I have. Thank you
The thing I Have to thank Wired for the most is giving me movies I do not know , that I should have seen I love Omar Eps and I love Radcliffe in his post Potter career and have two new movies for the weekend now.
They should do burn notice. It's all about surveillance
This was brilliant! Such a fun way of teaching.
_The Conversation_ is in my top 10 list of all-time great films.
Francis Ford Coppola got nominated for a handful of Oscars for it... and lost them all to himself, for The Godfather II

Coffin corner is a term I’ve heard used by airline pilots here in the uk....simply put its where the height of the aircraft is such that the stall speed approaches the maximum speed, at that height.......
Mark Whalbergs Character was not helpful or supportive: most understated review of his character in that movie.
Looks like this agent's wearing a disguise within a disguise right now...lol!
This woman can pass as anyone. No wonder...
I don’t have the heart to be an undercover agent 🤣 I’m easily spooked and scary people uuuhh scare me 😅😂
Agent Reese reviewing Point Break: Everyone needs to be easily identifiable as an FBI Agent
Me waiting for the editor to pick up the easiest ally oop of all time: 😁
Me when the editor completely missed the ally oop: 🥺
What is an ally oop and what kind of editor? I feel like at 32 I can't keep up with slang any more. Time to kick the bucket.
@@cineturon one of the most classic lines in "Point Break" is Keanu yelling "I am an FBI Agent" so when she says "FBI agents need to be clearly identified, while discussing "Point Break" the video editor should have clipped that in.
Burn Notice should be reviewed by someone. They have some good information
How did they not include the mini series The Spy?? That was such a good show and it was a true story!
Bet she was a badass agent
Are those "spy glasses" or something? LOL

AHHHHH THE REPLIES AND THE COMMENT, DAY AND NIGHT, DAY AND NIGHT
As a black dude,Imperium is honestly one of the best Undercover cop movies I've ever seen.
Ronda is the kinda woman girls should idolize.
A real person with real achievements.
Not a celebrity playing characters.
18:46 Law And Order: SVU lol
Make Sure you are seeing and hearing it all properly
I love those glasses! Oh she is so cool. Come back!
They couldn’t give her a proper microphone?
14:10 Those 3 agents can have a break. The 4th one is John Wick, so...
6:05 A "new identity", huh?
Like, say, _Harry Potter_ or something? That's not new.
Thank-you
04:33 YEAH, Jimmy McNulty!!! :D
You don’t want them to be like Gary Busey, hahahaha.
Using kids for Surveillance like that. Okay, they're kids, so how much do you want to risk them? That being said, the mark has to be really paranoid to suspect that kid writing in a newspaper. If an adult male did that on the street, it would be a lot more suspicious, but there's a reason why criminal organizations use kids as runners. They often get in under your radar.
Any time I see Sandra Bullock my immersion breaks.

My handler has me watching her, watching me, surveiling you.
I’m in love with your glasses
18:15 - 18:30 She should have mentioned you don't have a sniper just out in the open plus he was posted under a flashing sign, he so easily spotted it wouldn't make a difference if they had a spotlight on him. Also the other agent just hanging out the window with his parabolic. They couldn't be more noticeable if they tried, you wouldn't need any military or law enforcement training to spot them. The public will see the sniper, cause a panic and call the police.
Wth are those glasses hahahahah I mean she's rockin em, but still looks like early 2000's 3d movie glasses XD
I need her glasses in my life
Wish they had done the Russian House with Connery,. when they try to train him in counter survelience and he points out about 7 people, and the agent is like yeah, all of those were normal people you missed every agent lol
You guys could have sent her a proper mic? The echo is really strong!
