incorrect and complete ignorance. you can be detained in many many instances and not have the right to know why until you are successfully detained ESPECIALLY if you are though to have a warrant or are armed. i don’t understand how people like you just go on spatting nonsense without knowing a damn thing ur talking about
@@nunyadamnbiddness for a matter of fact police always have to tell you why you are being detained or arrested when it is practically available, and seeing how he had both hands out of the window and was clearly heard as the cop responded “you should be” when he said he was afraid, if you wanna defend these psychotic bullies be my guest but don’t argue what you dont know.
@@nunyadamnbiddness You're simply WRONG because that isn't the case in every state. In some states, a cop will only have authority over you once you've broken the law meaning, they don't have the right to walk up to you and ORDER you to do anything. When they pulled the military guy over, the 1st thing they should have done was tell him WHY they pulled him over. Example "Sr you were pulled over because you ignored my flashing lights for a traffic stop due to no rear tags and because you kept driving to evade traffic stop". They didn't do that and simply pulled their guns just started trying to order him to get out the vehicle but never told him why or what law he broke. So he did not have to comply. In Texas, anytime I get pulled over and cop comes to my window and ask for license and insurance, I ask them WHY did they pull me over. If they don't disclose that reason or what law I've broken, I don't NOT have to comply as they're now violating my "rights to travel".
@@rotaryperfection Comprehension is clearly not you strong suit my friend. In the very beginning of the video the officer announces to the radio that he is conducting a felony traffic stop. In EVERY state standard protocol is to detain the occupants. You do not have the right to know why you are being detained until it is successfully accomplished. Regardless of if they did tell him the guy did not comply with officers orders whatsoever and thus put himself in that position. Now that is not to say that the cop did everything right but regarding your point of guns drawn and their demeanor yes it is appropriate. Him pepper spraying him several times was inappropriate and you can tell the dude was brought into the force at a different time because he clearly had zero deescalation training whatsoever. If you watch it back as soon as the Lt. starts using the pepper spray several times and acting overly aggressive the younger cops start to pull back. I think it was the right call for him to have been given disciplinary action.
He did everything wrong. He should have contacted IA, not the officer directly on his personal cell. He showed his ID and covered his picture and didnt show his badge. He said he was out of Jacksonville and they didnt know him because he was out of Tallahassee. He wouldnt give his supervisors name and number . He was asking about a ticket the officer wrote and then rescinded but said he was investigating corruption of others in the department. Most of all he was on the terrorist watchlist and classified as extremely dangerous contrary to what this narrator is saying. Most likely for his cover but the police dont know that. I do think he should get the Oscar for best actor. The car had the AC on and it was cold out since a few have jackets on and he is wearing a sweater. Whoever put this together clipped out most of it and only put in the parts that fit his agenda of making the cops look bad.
So because he's a lieutenant in the military, he doesn't have to get out of the car and he's above the law ? Same thing with the agent that wouldn't get on the ground, just fuking do it so they can feel safe because they're scared to death obviously if they tell you to get on the ground then they can look at your ID all they want but everyone needs to argue and flex who they are first.
@@WhiteBoogeyman No, what YOU don't understand is the cops were infringing on their rights by giving unlawful orders, pal. Cops need to have reasonable suspicion of a crime being commited to have any right at all to order someone to do something. In case you don't understand, they need to actually see an illegal act being commited, or have reports of a crime being commited. Being "suspicious" in anyones opinion (including an officers), is not a fucking crime. By blindly following unlawful orders given by cops, they would be empowering them to keep infringing on peoples rights. You should stand up for your rights and refuse unlawful orders, for everyones sake.
@@DinGuSco So if you look like someone that's a suspect, that's not probable cause ? The lieutenant is the only one I didn't hear a reason. The ATF guy called then walked out of the house he was calling on, so they didn't know who he was. The time I was pulled it literally took 2 min because I cooperated and they said we are so sorry to have a good day. You don't know what they have been told by dispatch to do. If you don't listen, it really just pisses them off and causes more problems. I would never let cops in my house without a warrant and I will exercise my rights but anybody can call on you, and that's enough for them to detain you.
Good theory, except the stats show that majority of these cops are relatively new rather than being there for 20+ years so the chances of those cops having pensions in the $100,000+ range, hell even 40K right off the bat starting the job are slimmer than paper. The issue was that the Army Lieutenant thought he would get special treatment because he was in uniform. He got butt hurt when they treated him the same way they would anyone else who breaks the law and doesn't follow directions. What this narrator failed to mention during his incomplete description is that the Lt. drove nearly 5 MILES before his clueless ass decided he would finally pull over into the gas station. That's why the cops conducted a felony stop. They had been trying to get his dumbass to stop for the last 5 miles and he wouldn't stop. That's called fleeing and eluding in many jurisdictions plus he didn't have a plate on his vehicle. Being a service member does not preclude you from following the law.
You have to watch more videos from detaining people and you will know why they are acting how they do. Every day with freaks takes away your ability to read people, your trust

That first encounter has so many violations of basic rights that a lawyer would have to spend days counting them. Literally everything those officers did was wrong and violated his rights. They lied, misinformed, threatened...the list goes on and on.
Yep. I'm not even from the US, but I'm pretty sure you should NEVER get out of your car, because doing so is a threat towards the cops. You could be stepping out having a gun in one hand. So showing his hands and not moving is the only way to go, so they can be sure you aren't armed and not giving them a reason to shoot at you.
The obscured tag (or other traffic violations) is reasonable suspicion for a stop. Case law allows officers to remove you from your car for little to no reason.
The problem I have with this is that it should not matter who the victim of police abuse is. Vet or not what race. Nobody should be treated that way. I do not care if a person is FBI, a marine or Joe 6 pack we all have the same rights.

No other profession gets away with F-ups like law enforcement. And these are minor. These devour trust and create trauma and should be treated as the crimes they are. With that said I do respect GOOD, ETHICAL police that are capable of admitting their errors.
You can't teach those things you just mentioned. Either someone is right for the job or they're not. These people were not. They were meant to work inside of the prison system.
Training has little to do with it. Many police officers have tiny egos and that's the reason why they seek employment. He was trying to play the oath of Office/Enlistment card. The problem is you do not have to obey *_unlawful_* orders and you do not have to obey "orders" of officers _appointed_ over you (meaning direct military superiors). There ARE lawful orders that you DO have to comply with from police, however, many times they try to make you believe that a _request_ or a _suggestion_ is an "order" when it is not. They bank on your lack of knowledge of your rights and their restrictions, which to be fair, 95% of people do not know... And THAT is why you should NEVER answer questions or turn over any document EXCEPT if they explicitly state that you are being ordered to do so and that you will be arrested if you refuse. And immediately ask for their sergeant or sheriff (not a deputy). In such cases you ALWAYS verbally state that you are/will _complying under duress,_ and that are/will do so in fear of imminent threat to your life. Then comply all the way to court, and then laugh all the way to the bank.
They also said get out of the car while his seat belt was on, door was locked and they were holding onto both of his hands. You litterally can't comply.
This video sheds light on the disturbing reality of police misconduct, especially when dealing with FBI agents. It's eye-opening to witness the unjust treatment these law enforcement officers subject individuals to, even when they hold positions of authority within the government. The calm and composed demeanor of the FBI agents amidst the chaos is commendable, highlighting their professionalism and dedication to upholding the law. The main issue, however, is that the police forces in the US are extremely self-preserving and will do everything in their power to protect their own, regardless if said officer is corrupt or acting illegally. The most important condition to be accepted at the academy is that the candidate must not have more than two neurons.
They learn nothing because the training is way to short. There are states where it takes 6 weeks from entering Police Academy to roaming the streets, its not hard to realise why such examples exist and why those people are completly overstrained. The police institution is one of the most important and necessary in the society of any country. But I think that the insufficient training and the selection of personnel based on criteria that are not based on skills and abilities for this job, has become a frightening reality for all countries. In my country, the police officers hired to patrol the streets do not do any kind of training before being hired. Sadder than that, to be such a policeman they don't even need too much schooling. It is enough to have graduated from a general primary school where they learn to write and read, not necessarily correctly and, the most important thing is to be solid, aggressive, to execute orders unconditionally, to be totally obedient to their superiors and not to think with their head but with muscles. Fortunately for them, they don't have to fear for their lives when they go out on patrol. This is due to the fact that they are the first and biggest criminals, and in the best case they are only associated with famous and very dangerous criminals. Firstly almost no other country has " Federal Officers" so this kind of situation is almost 100% unique to America anyway. The reason it seems par for the course is because there are so many agencies, they each think they are above the rest and none of them communicate with each other properly. Take the FBI agent who was retrieving the gun. The guy was wearing civilian clothing. If you were an officer who received a call from a member of the public saying some strange man was banging on their door and you arrived to find that guy then you not for 1 second think he was any form of Law Enforcement. On top of that, when the officer arrived and asked him to identify himself them man didnt and instead started calling the officer stupid. How on earth is that professional? American needs to sort itself out and stop having so many different organisations trying to do the same job. Consolidate it all into one system and for gods sake make them ALL wear a uniform to avoid these problems.
@@ASavageEye What are you talking about? Of course we have tiered agencies. What we don't have, and USA does, are overlapping jurisdictions and jurisdictions without clearly defined borders.
@@ASavageEye 1) Other countries (many actually) do in fact have more agencies, tiered even, than just typical law enforcement. 2) All agents should wear uniforms huh? Undercover agents wearing uniforms completely defeats the purpose genius. 3) No he did not ask him to identify himself. He asked him to raise his hands then shouted to get on the ground when the agent complied and told him to calm down. He did not ask for identification at all in fact, merely pointed his gun and suddenly shouted "Why didn't you identify yourself?" and the agent correctly responded by telling them that they never asked him to. Which the officer even said "Get on the ground. We'll figure it out." After realizing the agent was correct. 4) When wasn't the agent professional by the way? By pointing out they were wrong and answering them clearly? Or was it unprofessional to know your rights?
@@demontaco4116 1 - I was referring to MY country, not all countries so your very first point is already mute. 2 - I never mentioned undercover agents, that is beyond stupid to try and use as an argument. I would point out that in this video the agent was in fact NOT undercover so again your point is mute. 3 - He most certainly DID shout at him to identify himself just after getting out of his car, maybe watch it and listen carefully this time. When the man did not do so, and in fact began to behave threatening towards the officer by telling him he was " making a big mistake" and calling him an idiot/fool, then the officer told him to get down. At this point all the officer has to go on is a 911 call for help from a trespasser, a man who refuses to identify himself and is being rude. The officer behaved exactly as any other officer would have done in that scenario. 4 - A professional agent would have produced his Id the MOMENT a police car turned up. A professional agent would not have acted superior, told an officer he was making a mistake and certainly would not have called him an idiot/fool. His refusal to answer questions to a fellow member of law enforcement shows a complete lack of respect.
@@ASavageEye you can wear civilian clothing as a Federal Agent as long as you have your badge or any form of ID, in this case he had it under his jacket, and federal agencies are above police officers, most likely he didn’t show any identification because if he did in the officer’s mind that would be reaching for a weapon and could’ve potentially shot him, the officer should’ve been more calmed and should’ve maintained everything from de-escalating but made things much worse then it should’ve been. I would rather much get arrested by an FBI agent than a police officer.
"If you're wrong, you're wrong." (Third video involving the black FBI agent) < < < This statement by the cop highlights the sheer recklessness that qualified immunity has bred among law enforcement; they think they can do pretty much whatever they want, and if their actions are later deemed unlawful, they can get off on QI. And the musclehead sergeant who arrives (and, sure enough, backs up his boys) is just as dumb about the law and just as unconcerned about any consequences. This is why QI needs to be abolished.
The worst part of the lieutenant case is how they try to intimidate him with some "legal" bs at the end is fkn disgusting have some respect for our soldiers.
Police like this should never even make it on the force. Really shows how bad our justice system is when the worst people are the ones enforcing the law.
That first video irritates me so much. Not only are they immediately aggressive they never gave him a reason why he was stopped. That's the most reserved reaction I've ever seen from someone being hit with pepper spray though. He never raised his voice, he said "please" nearly every time he asked what the stop was about. They had no reason to draw weapons on this man.
Police dont have to give you a reason for the stop. That is just some police departments internal policy. Please learn the actual law before saying things.
I'm fully aware that they aren't required to give a reason. Doesn't change the fact that it's a stupid policy that only creates tension in these situations. It becomes a stupid immature game of "I didn't do anything because you can't say what I did". Citizens are supposed to be considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. So the burden of proof lays on the officer. If you can't give me a reason to be stopped, I'm going about my business. That's a very common response. Instead, they should simply give a reason why they're stopping you. It immediately deescalates the situation. At that point we should be allowed to swap identification and talk like adults instead of screaming at each other in the streets with pepper spray and tazers drawn. That's not the behavior you exhibit toward someone presumed innocent.
@@elvispressplay7735you know what else deescalates a situation?? Simply following the police officers directions. Officers have no idea what they are dealing with... Surely the first sign of self-discipline is the ability to be in reasonable shape for such an important role. I don't mean this to insult the U.S. but the last ten American police videos I watched, the officers - and their supervisors - were all grossly overweight. Even the FBI agent here needs to shed a few.

Back in the late '80s early '90s I was in law enforcement and we were trained completely different than the way the cops have been the past 20 years. We were trained in "verbal judo" to de-escalate situations with our words, not our sidearms. In the 20 plus years I was working in law enforcement not once did I ever have to pull my gun out of its holster. If you have to resort to swearing curse words and yelling.. you've already lost
The Atf is going around disarming law abiding citizens infringing on their 2A,rights. If he passed a background check they can't just decide he shouldn't have the rifle. The officer did a great job this time. You are a gullible fool for sure.
@GabrielPowell-yg1on, no. People lose certain rights when they commit crimes. The ATF agent was investigating an illegally owned shotgun (eg. the owner didnt follow the legal procedures to buy it and/or they committed crimes and weren't permitted to have guns). There was no "legally owned" rifle here. Let us not be so gullible to think everyone are law abiding citizens who follow the law when procuring firearms.

The arrest by police officers of a Federal Law Enforcement agent demonstrates the mind boggling stupidity of too many police officers! Why any nation would scrap the bottom of the barrel of society to recruit its Law Enforcement Officers is a conundrum to me, but it seems that in many U.S. communities that is what they do!
@pennywisenibbles4949, the only thing that is mind boggling stupid is your comment. Walking up to someone's door on a public sidewalk in a public apartment/condo community is trespassing? You think criminals should have illegally owned guns? People lose certain rights when they commit crimes. The ATF agent was investigating an illegally owned shotgun (eg. the owner didnt follow the legal procedures to buy it and/or they committed crimes and weren't permitted to have guns).
I noticed the cops telling anyone to get down on the ground seems to escalate the situation in 90% of arrests regardless of the person's status that's getting arrested. Its clear that yelling at people to get down on the ground doesn't deescalate the situation at all
It’s also illegal to tell someone to get down on the ground and hold a gun to them unless you have directly seen them do something unlawful or do something that indicates intention to commit an unlawful act. A phone call does not give you the right to kidnap someone.
@@ass640 no reasonable suspicion, so for example the first guy didn't pull over immediately, that can be reasonable suspicion, because you could be trying to escape, or attempting to throw drugs or something in a bush, it happens more than you think
It's funny how they attacked him because he kept driving, but the video shows exactly why he wanted to be in a well lit area so everything could be recorded.
well to be fair, they probably didn't see the tag on the tinted window, and it was dark out, which definitely didn't help, so they definitely assumed he was up to something shady and to be fair not pulling over doesn't help
I agree, its really stupid. Two unfortunate facts, however. #1: if a vehicle is lit up and being forced to stop by a police cruiser and drives over something like 800 meters, the police are within the law to treat the situation as an escape attempt/situation. #2: its hard to fire stupid police officers, why? Because it would be like firing the garbage man for being stupid. Its a job no one wants to do really. The smart ones usually get promoted out of being a patrolman or quit due to the obvious danger. Its just a shitty situation.
I honestly personally dont like most police officers. The psychology behind why a person would choose such a career exposes a lot of strange manifestations regarding the relationship to power and dominance. Still, you have to keep in mind that police officers are not trained to kill people. They receive training on how to subdue, how to deal with someone who is fleeing, how to deal with people socially. Its different than the training that a soldier would receive. So I have sympathy for the people that end up as patrolmen. The videos you never see are the ones where the criminal has thrown away any hope of escape or life after the moment and just wants to take as many people with him. Or some ex soldier that is dealing with a severe bout of psychosis. You realize that the average police officer isnt much different than you, and a lot of what youre seeing is in part a reaction of being afraid of dying... But ya, still stupid af.
@@flymykim That is actually completely untrue. It is the official policy of every state I have checked, as well as federal policy that a driver being stopped should pull over in a safe and well-lit location whenever possible. The driver did exactly that, slowing to 20 mph and stopping after only 0.41 miles at a gas station, instead of in a traffic lane or an unlit tow yard. It was 800m from where the officers first saw the vehicle as he passed by, but they did not light him up for about 150m. From when the lights were illuminated to when the officer drew his firearm was about 85 seconds. Just so you know, the one officer quit and the other was fired.
That last guy was masterful. The only way to deal with disingenuous BS is to call it out for exactly what it is and let the person know that you will never play their stupid games and they are only embarrassing themselves
It's almost surreal for me to see such scenes. How is it even possible that a trained police officer needs to display their power so vehemently against innocent people? I would assume that this is one of the first things they are taught never to do in any situation. We can really count ourselves lucky that these bodycams exist, so more and more of these corrupt police officers can be removed from service. Fortunately, I have never experienced anything like this here in Germany, and I am truly grateful for that, even though there are probably police officers who act just as corruptly here. Edit: Of course, it's also absolutely inappropriate to use such an excessive display of force in the case of non-innocent individuals.
@@brankokryze9179 Are you kidding me? 😂 Here in Germany, you have to undergo 2-3 years of training. The remaining year is spent training with other police officers on the street, doing and learning how to do their regular duties.

@@brankokryze9179 It's true that Germany definitely still has power complexes due to its past, but from what I've observed, it's not much different in other European countries. Whether this can be attributed to Europe being more civilized, as you say, I'm not sure. But I must also say that I've never been to the USA, let alone for an extended period, so I can't really judge that well. However, I find it somewhat amusing how you express this, because in Germany, we often look to America and not infrequently take it as an example to do the same in Germany or to follow the American opinion or approach, for example in certain political ventures. Of course, not in all ventures and areas, but definitely in some. I guess, though, that this is well-considered, because in matters like the healthcare system and e.g., how the training of our police officers should be conducted to ensure everything is as correct as possible, we have a completely different approach.

They didn't do that and simply pulled their guns just started trying to order him to get out the vehicle but never told him why or what law he broke. So he did not have to comply. In Texas, anytime I get pulled over and cop comes to my window and ask for license and insurance, I ask them WHY did they pull me over. Cops really need more training. Anger management. Ethics. Proper communication. This is absolutely ridiculous. There should be WAY more accountability.
They can't handle it when people don't give them the power they so desperately seek, which is why they react in this way even if it ends in crushing the rights of those they are charged to protect.

It's sad what you told me about the insufficient level of training of those people who have to risk their lives to defend ours. Corruption is so great that they don't even hide anymore. They are even publicly displayed with notorious criminals, in exotic places, luxury restaurants and with luxurious cars. The arrogance of this police officer who has violated the civil rights of a Federal Law Enforcement agent would be astounding in most countries, but just seems par for the case in the good old United States of America!
@@ASavageEye
1) Other countries (many actually) do in fact have more agencies, tiered even, than just typical law enforcement.

Wouldnt happened if he was white tho. Amercian racism is the root of all evil

Surely the first sign of self-discipline is the ability to be in reasonable shape for such an important role. I don't mean this to insult the U.S. but the last ten American police videos I watched, the officers - and their supervisors - were all grossly overweight. Even the FBI agent here needs to shed a few.

Most of them are already going to a secondary school. College is far from some kind of "moral" place. I actually found both college and the police to be two of the most rotten institutions in the US.
@MrKnightBlaze21, Seems to be working well for Norway, their police officers have 3 year degrees.

@GabrielPowell-yg1on, no. People lose certain rights when they commit crimes. There was no "legally owned" rifle here. Let us not be so gullible to think everyone are law abiding citizens who follow the law when procuring firearms.
There should not be any procedure aside from walking into a store, and slapping money on the counter. The Second Amendment is clear, and unless the individual was a violent felon (emphasis on violent), there should be no reason for your rights to be infringed. @@Intranetusa

The reason is that idiots just do, without thought. That's American police for ya.
Statin!
If I recall correctly it's because they want people who will blindly follow orders instead of questioning them.
It demonstrates the mind boggling stupidity of federal agents. They shouldn’t be out trespassing and attempting to illegally disarm a civilian

I hate American police, it's even more dangerous driving around being black

Out of these, let's say, 3 years, you spend 1 year in basic training and 6 months preparing for your final exam or test.
