I run all morel hybrid component ,subwoofer 10 and 5channel amp in a 4Runner halo 9alpine stereo made my own box down firing did sound denting hi ac’s and wiring it ran me about $4000 sounds amazing
Those Sundown Subs are amazing. I live in Asheville NC right down the road from the sundown warehouse. I have a bunch of those Subwoofers I been running them for years. He said they only make 4 diff levels " Tiers " but they make more.. the list as follows from the entry level to the best most powerful in their line up.. LCS series , E series , SA series , U series , X series , Z series , nightshade series.. and then they make the Team series. Which the Night shade and team series Subwoofers have neo motors. And there is a option for Neo or fearite I don't know if I spelt it right lol. And then they make shallow Subs. SLD series and the SD series " SD3 n SD4 " come in 8" to 12" the SD4 is a custom neo motor very small yet very powerful motors. And then they make a few 8"s Subwoofers. E series SA and X series at the moment.. Jacob the owner is currently has a prototype of the U series and z series and nightshade series 8" subwoofers. Now all of em are very hard hitting drivers as you found out in this video lol. The X and Z and Nightshade and team series are low end monsters. The most popular in their high excursion subs are the X series a X 12" cost around $540 to 560 US dollars. The Z series 12" cost around 780 US dollars.. the SA 12" cost around $240 US dollars and so on.. they are all underated in power ratings. Each one can take way more then rated. They actually ran 13,000 watts through a Sundown SA V1 15" it done a 156 or 158 DB at 57 hz.. and that was just one 750 watt rms 15" Subwoofer.... The SA v3 8" is 500 watt rms but is more like 750 to 800 rms. And can take 6,000 watt burst over n over no prob. The SA 8" was the worlds loudest 8" its first score was a 147.9 sealed on the windshield and a 149.9 passenger side door open that was the SA V1.5 8" the newer V2 and V3 8"s done a 155 or 156 DB a single one... These Subs are no Joke and the Xv3 8"s also done a 157 or so on 5k or 6k wattage. I absolutely love the Subwoofers. I have a bunch of em atm I'm running two Sundown SA V3 8"s in a 2010 VW CC TSI Turbo sport in the trunk on a Sundown SFB1500.1D it does a 145 or so I know its a 145 point something last time I had it metered. They sound and hit as hard as 12"s and some 15"s. They are built very well and weigh around 30 or 35 pounds.... Huge 7" magnets on em. 3 1/2 inches of travel on the SA series 8' and 4" inches of travel on the Xv3 8"...
I’m currently working on a half kicker half DS18 build in a single cab 2 12in kicker compR on a 1200.1 kicker amp hooked up to a 3.0 TSpec Capacitor and the DS18 6.5 mid range with the red bullets and 2 DS18 Super tweeters on a 360.4 Kicker Amp currently waiting on the box from SubThump and the Apline radio from crutch field and I’ll be good to go I got everything ran and hooked up
2 sets of elates 3 ways powered by 8 channels of 2 pdx f6s. 2 channels on each midbass = 300 rms each, 2 channels for tweets = 150 rms each and 2 channels for each midrange = 150rms each. Those amps are mad underrated. I wouldn't be surprised if the bridged channels are putting out 400+ to each midbass
thats what ive got haha pioneer 99 head unit, amazing head unit, then morels and then haha a sundown NSV4 18 inch sub that hits so low it shakes your eye balls haha,so sq & spl for fun
@@knd4rkst4r JL W7s are almost as big as nightshades in terms of mounting depth but it’s all SQ instead of all SPL. It’s definitely still a lot louder than your cheap Walmart subwoofer. If you want the loudest SQ sub in the world and do not mind a rear seat delete just like his golf, you have to get an MTX jackhammer.
4 13W7s in an SQ optimized ported box is 12 decibels less but they will make you very happy. No mechanical noise no excessive flex but loud enough to still please hardcore bassheads. Comparing sundown to JL is like comparing a commercial truck to a luxury car. They cost the same but have different purposes.
I second that, its absolutely hell on earth, the ringing never goes away, you dont even remember what quiet is, that alone is ridiculous to imagine, its highly intrusive and can certainly Drive you to the brink of insanity...
Love this combination! Got a morel front and sundown sub. Sound great every day!
Best build on RUclips!!
It's so nice to see a build where the car is not destroyed, full of unwanted vibrations, laminated 2x4s and broken plastic with spray foam everywhere.
If it sounds that good in video, imagine in real life.

That golf looks fuckin' sweet.
Hmm did those material membrans are not getting destroyed bys very big presure from the subs ?
I am looking to build my Honda Accord to be a spl and a sq build but more of an sq but I have a sundown x series 15 on a Rockford Fosgate 1500bdcp

Get a Rockford Fosgate T2 subwoofer. It’s in between a Sundown nightshade and JL W7 in terms of SQ and SPL.
What type of morels are in this car and how many wats are running to each component set?

It's all about whatever hits those frequencies just right mate. Would play Spongebob Squarepants intro if it hit those notes just right

Don't give yourself Tinnitus, it sucks.
Nice system, although not very wife or GF friendly.
