i absolutely need a set of these for my a pillers , the coax is a great desing but was noticeably thinner when changing between , its nighttime here so i will listen again when i can do it louder , but i love this new style of content its been a hot minute since ive seen anything of you guys
Based on what I can hear from RUclips compression, the integra are the better driver when used with a true midbass driver, being a point source/ concentric driver helps with the holographic aka wide sound stage. You notice it as soon as Dean flips the switch. I absolutely love those, with proper EQ and additional time alignment, those will have a more fuller sound like the other pair as well.
Love them dam cabinets.. what a sweet Computer audio setup up that would be. I could hear a loss in the mid range on the Integras. I would expect so due the the loss in cone area due to the tweeter.. I never had Morel stuff but sure wouldn't hesitate!! Thx for video!
Is it made in Israel and I don't know why you don't do more reviews on German maestros aka the new MB quarts. I like when you have better quality speaker reviews cuz most of that mass produce stuff is very expensive and you're not going to get the same quality out of it so it's good that you did this review.
I'm going to use one of the Integra 42's as a center channel. I've got Morel Carbon separates for the left/right. It seems small for a 4". In fact, it has the same cutout as my Morel MM3 3.5" mids! I'm going to bi-amp it. Annoying to pay all that money for the passive crossover that I'm not going to use, but, that's how it goes.
I had a preconceived idea that the Integra's would sound poorly in the midrange region. So much of the cone are is removed or blocked with the tweeter. The expectation was unnatural midrange. I was right about that, but what I didnt expect was the tweeter to sound so much brighter on the Hybrid's It almost sounds like the Hybrid's are +3 on the x-over or the Integra's are-3 om the treble. With that said the Integra's don't sound bad, but there's no comparison side by side! Def worth it to find a mounting location for the separate mid 'n' tweet IMO.
I was listening to the demo in my car. The components had a slightly beefier lower extension but lacked clarity at the crossover point. I think there may have been a phase problem from the drivers being separated. Every time Dean switched to the coaxials, my imaging became noticeably clearer, and maybe a 1db increase. TLDR: I like the lower extension of the components, but prefer the stereo imaging of the coaxials.
Hello! I would like to install a new speaker. Which one do you recommend? Morel hybrid 62-63 or Ground Zero URANIUM GZUC 165.3SQ? Thank you very much for your answer!
😲 When are the BMW brackets coming? I've been bugging Morel to do this on these speakers for three years but had given up. Also, have you fit these tweeters into the BMW factory sail panel location? Do they fit easily?
Morel America just started shipping the new IR and IP BMW integration speakers this week. The IR (Integration Reference) use the Hybrid 42 and Hybrid Integra 42 speakers as a base and come with all the speaker mounts to fit 90% of modern BMW. Each of the models come with plug and play wire connections and mounts for both the 4" woofer and tweeters for easy installation. There is also the IP-BMWSUB82 subwoofer that fits the under seat enclosures. We're hoping to get a set in D&F's hands soon to discuss.
@@caseythorson3515 Great to hear from you directly. I'm an industry vet and as I said was bugging Morel via a few avenues for a year or two regarding a direct component fitment and an under seat woofer but had given up. This is great news! If you and D&F are interested in a promo project, I am local to them and have a current 7-Series that has been waiting for these products for some time, please reach out and maybe we can do something together.
Because 50hz into a small speaker sounds horrible. Sub woofer are meant for that. I like 100 and above for components. Keep the deep bass separated to back of vehicle. Separation is what makes music so precise and enjoyable.
Hey, Dean. Is that switcher a 'soft switcher', as in, it brings the volume down when it switches, or are the integras not as efficient and play quieter?
I know im late to the party but , i do have a question. I see that the higher end you get in most components and coaxials , the tweeter is a soft domed fabric etc.. whats your ) commenters thoughts on a ribbon tweeter ? My aim is really good sq.. i listen to a lot of blues , some clean acoustic guitar to give you an idea of the sound im looking at
@@thebreakbarrelshowOn the DIY Car Audio forum, I saw some posts of people doing ribbon tweeters, but not very common. I'm a bit surprised someone like a Morel or a Dynaudio or a Focal doesn't make a car ribbon tweeter.
I have the Hybrid 63 & Integra 6.5 in my vehicle for a year now… and all I can say is wow!!😎👌🎶
Love the new format! Been following Dean and Fernando for years now, and some of us would love 5starcarstereo Apple playlist created by you all…
I like the format wioth showing the speakers side by side on equal ground like this. Huge improvement on judging what drivers I prefer!!
I have tempo ultras, mostly because of you 2.
Never looked back. Power, clarity. Audiophile sound!!!
I swapped my near £500 JL C5's for a pair of £180 Tempo 6 ... and never looked back!
I am a fan of hearing the sound of the speakers...thanks much 👍

Components sounded more full, if that makes sense. Love the format!
Love this! But now, of course, we will all want more of it!!
New format worked for me, love that you always push the limits of RUclips❤️❤️
Hey guys this format is very good and am sure will help people get a refernce before making a decision.
That sounds incredible for a 4 inch driver. Morel never disappoints. Love the video. Great job.
Great video. It would have been nice to get your listing impressions since we can’t really tell over RUclips.

I am amazed in the difference of sound quality. A in my headphones sounded a little more muffled.
100% agree, but surprised to hear a difference in the tweeter as well

I think the Integra might be a nice center, but wouldn't personally use the for the mains with the congested veiled sound
This is was awesome D&F
I really hope y'all get some Italia hifi soon to do some reviews on them. Those and morel are my 2 favorites
They both sound great, but I have to go with the component speakers on the left.
I had a preconceived idea that the Integra's would sound poorly in the midrange region.

Do yall like blam audio? I got have the 6.5 signature, 2 way active using helix, I don't like the tweeters

Morel hybrid 62-63 or Ground Zero URANIUM GZUC 165.3SQ?

I can’t remember if you said if you were running these in full range or if not what frequency you had them crossed at in the sound demo?
😲 When are the BMW brackets coming? I've been bugging Morel to do this on these speakers for three years but had given up.

I’ve been leasing a 2021 BMW 530i and have been thinking about keeping it. Do the tweeters fit in the factory location

Morel\s always so smooth and pleasant to the ears !!!
If the speaker say down to 50hz why can set the crossover at 50 and that would you recommend I set the gain at with the specs given?

@@ryanb8736 thank you man 🙏
I like the way you set this up. And I would have to say the components have a much richer sound in the lower frequency
Hey, Dean. Is that switcher a 'soft switcher', as in, it brings the volume down when it switches, or are the integras not as efficient and play quieter?
It is a basic switch
I believe the Integra had better imaging but the components had more midbass.
Agree but I found the mid bass muddy on the components. Integra felt more natural.
In the demo something is wrong with the Hybrid 42. Sounds out of phase with the tweeter.

@@CaseAgainstFaith1 only brand ive found was precision power ppi.. .most reviews say they arent bad. . So who knows..lol
Clealy hear that the components have better treble than the coax speakers. Obviosuly coloured by what Im listening on
How do the virtus compare?
Comp...Full
Coax....Thin
Do they sell these without the crossover for active use?
You can buy drivers individually from a Morel Dealer.
The component set sounded louder
Morels on sale on Crutchfield...this aint good for my credit card
If only these new 4" were there I might be shopping.
Wait whaaat ? They are not in sale in canada ?!
Good new format, speakers do one thing, make sound; without hearing them, all the talk it a waste of time. Lol😅😂
❤
Seem like the coaxial speakers are louder.
same. They sounded better to me. Maybe i got bad headphones.
It's the horn effect. The midbass acts as an additional waveguide making the high frequency more directional.
It has Less midbass though
