      Yes, the junction was about 6 kilometres out of Camperdown station on the way to Warrnambool. I need to go and look at the rail trail at some point 👍🙂

    What’s the idea of the points half way along the Boorcan loop back onto the main line? Is that so two trains can be parked there nose to tail. I remember up until the early 70’s Boorcan railway yard after dark was a source of most of the locals Briquettes. Can also remember the construction of the new bridge across Mt Emu Creek at Boorcan in the early 60’s. Prior to the new bridge it had been a rather substantial timber trestle bridge. It still stood for many years till it was sold off to contractors, probably for a dollar. Anyway love the videos, keep them coming.🇦🇺

      Boorcan loop is effectively 2 loops in one. They can hold a freight there and still cross two passenger trains. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀

    Hello, another great video, thank you so much for going to the trouble to record and post. Another pointless question if I may; why are there the yellow cross and white/black horn warning signs on the same pole?

    • @driver667
      @driver667  9 месяцев назад +1

      The black circle with the cross in it is a predictor board. It marks a crossing that predicts how quickly the train is approaching and lowers the booms accordingly. 👍🙂

    Why do you pull up the loco at the very end of the platform . If the train is short it would be a long way for passengers to walk ?👍👍😁

    • @driver667
      @driver667  8 месяцев назад

      It looks long in the video but so is the train of 5 cars. We have to make sure the back is on the platform also. A lot of those country platforms are not a lot longer than the train. 👍😀

    is it normally this dry out there ?

    • @driver667
      @driver667  9 месяцев назад

      It can get quite wet down in the South West. There isactually still quite a bit of moisture out there in the soil. 👍🙂

    G'day, with driving a train can you tell the difference between a newly laid track and one that's getting older, eg bumps rattling on old and smooth on new ???, Thanks for the video, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

    • @driver667
      @driver667  9 месяцев назад

      Yes, you can certainly feel the difference on the different tracks. Some are really good, others not so good. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
