The bool, one of my favourite lines, remember in the 1970s,when the line operated through to Pt.Fairy catching the train from Spencer St to Pt Fairy in a day,had about 1 and half hrs there, exploring nearby Griffiths island then back on the late afternoon service to Melbourne arriving late into the evening great rail memories, also remember the short lived West Coast railway that ran the line for a couple of years, started a letter writing campaign to save the Pt Fairy line, but the town didn't rally to it and it closed, another victim of the looney report,it's now a rail trail
My childhood mate grew up in Camperdown cudgee Warrnambool. Man its changed so much i remember the remains of panmure after it shut you pass my parents old house in cudgee too just before the bridge house on the right dawrroon road my bedroom window id sneak out to watch the trains at night lol 😅 i remember the tanker cars shunted at Camperdown too near the platform mobil i think it was. Thanks for sharing
Really appreciate your films. Love the signage (distance and corner speeds) you add to the screens and the screen text indicating old railway line turn-offs, such as the line to Mortlake.
Thankyou driver 667 keep em coming love your videos do they have any real 🎉 early footage of Flinders Street to Belgrave or Lilydale Vic back in the seventies or eighties God bless you and your family Warren and Ingrid Melbourne AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😸😸✝️💯 per cent 😇😎😼🐈😸🐨🦘🌞
G'day thanks for the ride down the line to Warrnambool, l bet you driver love the sunny day and a look at the sea, not like that all the time the weather there can be crap to say the least, l have a 1927 railway map of Victoria and every line was in full use at that time with 32,000 people employed too keep it running, with the end to fossil fuels and more demand for rail use we could see a much larger Railway network in the not too distant future, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
i wonder due to the growth of Warrnambool they will put a station in Dennington once the V/Loclity's start running on the Warrnambool line, i know there is still track that goes that far as the Freight Train uses it
Foarte frumos!❤
Very happy you enjoyed it 👍 😀 👌

There were a lot more people employed by the railways back then and a lot more lines open. Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Are they making a crossing loop on the down side of Terang station? Work has been going on there for ages.
Not as far as I know. 👍🙂

Interesting idea but I don't think they will build a station out there. 👍🙂
the track no longer goes past rooneys road. it got torn up at least 5 years ago. it stops at the freight yard now
@@PatrollingAbout 👍🙂
So glad the kangaroo got out of the way.👍
Do you always sound the horn when you see animals?
Usually do to scare them off the track 👍😀
A nice easy drive apart from all the crossings
There are a lot of crossings. A nice line to drive. 👍😀

The inside rails are guide rails, usually placed in certain areas like bridges and curves as an additional safety measure.🇦🇺
