Excellent video, as always. You are extremely gifted at making things simple, understandable, interesting, and useful. You cut out all the fluff and give vital informative content!! Thanks so much!!! Tom
daaaang ill have to check these when i get home. been wanting to try and get out of just using JST GR for harsh vocals and i know things like the distressor and the 76 'all in' mode are usually said to be great for them. wonder if he could attempt that Shadow Hills compressor. thought about buying it off of plugin alliance and its pretty pricey
Thanks Mike Great Video.... to be honest I'm not sure if I'm " plugin drunk " at this point but I think these sound really good !!! Thanks Tukan Studio $upport on the way !!!
Thanks man, I've been using some of these plugins today, they're great. When I open a new midi item in Reaper, I like things to look chunky. I have to zoom in manually each time. Do you know if there is a default zoom setting for the midi editor? Thanks again, keep the videos coming!
There may be some options in midi editor preferences, but I'm not much of an midi user. I can take a look a bit later though you'll likely get a faster answer on the Discord server, it seems the midi-centric users outnumber me there 😁
Some believe it to be a magic number for gain staging. The short version is leaving plenty of headroom for plugins and any gain you may add later during mixing
Thank you! As you can tell, I really haven't developed the Patreon page. Partly out of laziness, and partly out of not really thinking anyone would click it 🤣 But thank you so much for the kind words and your contribution. Hopefully I can figure out some sort of perks for those who choose to support in this way. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears. I got a few...
Great video. I’ve been checking these out for a few days already and I’m liking them a lot. I love your idea of having the vu meter on the mixer. My only issue is that holding shift and left clicking isn’t doing anything? What am I doing wrong?
thanks they are pretty nice check out these ones Geraint's JSFX repository. I use the Piano Display on a track with the volume turned off(not muted) then i send my piano track to that track, it's like synthesia but even better, it shows on the keys what each note is when you press them. One thing i still need to learn is how to control midi velocity with my mod wheel on my midi keyboard. then what you do i guess is record again over your string section and just use the mod wheel and it adjusts the velocity.
I did the install, but plugins are not showing up in my plugins folder. Any idea how to fix this? Tried two separate ways to install, and no luck with either. I know it's been a while since you posted this. Thanks!
Did you install using ReaPack? Also, how are you searching? They should be either in the JS section or All Plugins. If you happen to be looking filtered for VST, you won't see them there
not really sure. Given the age of the video, i'mma guess it was My Taste II. Try this and see if it's what you're looking for forums.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=260786
you won't have extension in ANY version of REAPER unless you install them. Have you installed either ReaPack? Once you do, you will have the extension menu. Kindly rewatch the video in its entirety and follow the instructions carefully. There is a link shown in the video for instructions on installing ReaPack, which is a prerequisite for following the rest of the tutorial.
You can install them on Windows, Mac, or Linux using either the manual method or using Reapack. Reapack is preferred because he updates these plugins VERY frequently, and you can synchronize packages in Reapack to easily update them all in one shot.
It's just because it's not "signed," it's perfectly safe. You should be able to tell your browser to keep the file, or set and exclusion of it's your antivirus blocking it
You can uninstall it through ReaPack. Just open up ReaPack and filter by "tukan", then right click what you wish to uninstall and select "uninstall" from the menu reapack.com/user-guide#actions
The easiest way to update is through ReaPack. Assuming you installed using ReaPack, open up ReaPack and use the Synchronize option, and it will update all scripts, plugins, actions, etc, that were installed by it, in one shot.
Thanks! This is MichaelMantisKungFu. Thank you Myk for installing my TUKAN.
I absolutely loved it. I think stock Reaper plugings, Analog obsession and now Tukan is all I really need to mix my stuff. Thank you so much!
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I dig it. Thanks!
hey, thank you! Didn't realize i already made it public (oops), still working on the thumbnail :)
The algorithm was working today for this video. Thanks for sharing, the plugins are pretty nice looking and sound pretty good.

Tukan's Distressor emulation is veeeeery cool sounding!🔥🔥🔥
Planning to run some tests with it this week and hopefully do a video showing it and comparing to a similar plugin. I loved it on my drums!
@@LetsTalkAboutReaper yep, I've also tried it on kick and snare and omg, I got perfect pumping sound!

The plugins look great ! .are they any good in comparison ? Sorry if you have answered this before, but what theme are you using?
The theme is My Taste II
I haven't done a huge comparison yet, but I tried the Distressor style plugin this morning and it sounds fantastic!
The plugins are good for themselves. They are even better in comparison. 😜
I'm waiting for the first comparison videos people make.
Nice job, thanks!

I'm currently using ReArk

JS plugins will only work in REAPER.

it's called "My Taste"
what theme is this
It was made from White Tie's modder supplies. You can recreate it quite easily with his new Assembler Script
