You pick any song by any performer, you're guaranteed to find some people who think it's crap. His opinion of Nina's singing doesn't in any way affect Nina's singing, so if you don't like what he says, let it go and move on.

Nina Hagen is a copy of a long list of 1920s Berlin performers who were a lot wilder than she. Copying is the greatest compliment. So hats off to Lady Gaga!!

This is a difficult song for anyone to sing and that may well be why it is not part of the "Mama Mia" film. What Nina lacks from a technical perspective is offset by her emotional range.
GaGa hasn't done anything original. She's taken elements of Nina Hagen, Annie Lennox, Debbie Harry, Dale Bozio, etc...all the older "weird" female artists and blended them with a bit of Madonna and served it up for the kids as something new. I don't hate her, but I don't like her either. I ignore her. I've seen it all done before, and better. I was there the first time. Also...this Hagen video is marvelous! :o)
continuing to repeat that so-and-so copied this artist or that artist is silly. every singer songwrighter has been influenced by someone else. no one is truely origional so just enjoy what various artists bring to the table.
One of the best ABBA cover ever! It works because it's heartfelt and dramatic like ABBA were. chillingly good!
