A lot of people know that one piece does have many flaws. But because they are just too goddamn loyal to Oda as a person. They will literally give him a pass on anything, which to me is not fair..
This is why Koby is growing on me as a character. Dude was a literally nobody in East Blue, just Alvida's cabin boy slave. Now through sheer grit and determination, he's shaping up to be the new hero of the marines.
Bro straight up looked weak asf in the more recent chapters though. Like…. He’s been training with GARP. It’s weird that he isn’t as strong as he definitely should be imo
Don’t worry. Oda will soon reveal that actually Koby is the son of a celestial dragon all along 🫡 (Honestly it could happen because we don’t actually know anything about Koby’s background)
@@senseiroshi2338and even when he does die it’s like ok?? He’s a bad dude sure but I don’t care about hiyori or the people of wano enough to hate him for what he did to them. Bro was such a bum 😭
"Why do they have to be special in some way, why can't they just be some guy?" EXACTLY how I feel about Gear 5. Why does Luffy have to be a Sun God Nika? Why can't the Gum Gum fruit just be some random power that luffy MADE great?! Why does it have to be some ultra powerful fruit thats also connected to some ancient sun god...?! Cuz its like...dayum... did Luffy even make it on his own this whole time? Or was it only cuz he had god powers the WHOLE TIME?! "It really takes the oomph outta the character" you're right man.
Huh? What have you been reading? Luffys fruit was garbage when he ate it and he made it great with training and creativity. How the hell can you even question that Luffy made it on his own? He absolutely did. Its not like when the fruit awakened that everything Luffy did beforehand does not matter anymore.
Oh look, someone who didn't actually read one piece. I'd put you in the ground verbally about how stupid and hilariously wrong your take is. But my brain cells are better used elsewhere.
@@villainousTCG "I can't handle criticism of something I like, but I can't refute it. That won't stop me from calling it stupid and acting pretentious, though."
Thats not a criticism, since because special treatment isnt always bad,and its not necessary for characters to be to underdogs or just people every single times. There are flaws within evrything, but giving special treatment isnt a flaw
This is a breath of fresh air. Been reading One Piece weekly since 2008 and it's nice to see someone actually critiquing it rather than the constant "Goda" and "greatest manga of all time" statements i see tossed around when even the most basic story planning is executed while simultaneously ignoring issues they'd crucify any other series for. I still enjoy One Piece and Oda has his moments, but like all stories, it has it's issues.
I stopped caring about the one piece characters on a personal level, because I know nothing will never happen to them and because of that it makes me not care about the story anymore.
I used to be big One Piece fan but Wano butchered it for me. So much plot armor, nonsensical plot points, fake deaths and fake tensions i have seen only during final season of Game of Thrones. Now i am reading from time to time since after being invested for so long i wanna see what this story was all about but that hype that i used to have about it is gone.
@Gin-San101 well thats kind of a dumb example, You KNOW something could happen to your mother 💀She isnt exempt from death or any sort of danger, but in one piece Oda specifically makes it so nobody dies or suffers any consequences lmao, shit just gets annoying at some point, i mean Its what killed dragon ball super for me anyway, To have a good story you gotta have risk and a conflict that WILL have risk, If not then the story becomes stale, Anyone who continues watching/reading something thats adventure/action related, that also has no stakes is either already too invested or has no taste
@@beanburrito1002too many deaths isn’t a problem that jjk suffers from. Every character served a purpose in the story even if we don’t know every single detail of their lives. The stakes actually feel real unlike most shonen.
@@Chiefteeth1 that kinda ignores the fact that it lessens the impact overtime, because if the character's most likely gonna die why should we care when they die
what you said is completely true, but I would like to add its inconsistency in terms of power: It wasn't really avoidable considering that one piece wasn't supposed to last this long, but seeing ace surprised after being hit, cp9 not have haki, or crocodile being insanely strong in marineford is just incosistent and anoying.
true and now with the whole haki nullifying devil fruits thing its even worse. your telling me law can take ceasar clown and smokers heart, but not kiados because he has to much haki... its bs.
As a one piece super fan it’s nice to see actual criticism and not just “ oh it too long” or “oh it’s bad b/c I think the animation is bad” or whatever else bottom of the barrel excuses people use. I feel like people theses days just can’t say that they don’t like something, it’s always gotta be justified in some way. Nice vid, much love 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.
& when people say character development or they say the pacing is bad when that isn’t even true at all. I call them the 4 cop out comments people just say it to have something to say.
I never consider the one piece elitist’s from the Fanbase to be true fans of the series. For me, true fans of one piece are the ones that say they love it but here are my problems and things I don’t like about it. In order to love something you have to give criticism, you can’t pretend the flaws do not exist. The one piece elitist’s will constantly make some of the stupid excuses you will ever hear. If someone tells you, you have to go rewatch the anime or the manga five times in order to understand something, even though they probably do understand what they are watching or reading. Eventually you just have to stop and accept someone does not like your series or certain aspects of your favorite series.. If somebody gives 5 times of the exact same feedback. And you still don’t want to accept it! At that point you’re just being childish that someone does not see what you see in your favorite series. You just have to accept that some people Don’t see what you see in everything.. And that’s just life!
@Gin-San101 Its pretty clear that your experience is just you being unwilling to any criticism and throwing a temper tantrum when anyone remotely disagrees with your biased opinions of One Piece.
I have so many problems with this series I probably can't put them all in 1 comment lol. But I'll try. 1.) Luffy himself I like Luffy as a character and he's an amazing protagonist. His dream is to become pirate king and become the world's greatest pirate.... however my problem with him is that he doesn't LEARN, it would be quite interesting to see Luffy taking his adventure more seriously and thinking about possible situations that could result from his mindless actions. I'm not saying I want Luffy to be SMART but I want him to think a little instead of just running off instinct. Show me those captain qualities. Most of the time Luffy is completely unneeded on his crew as the captain. 2.) The Crew I love the straw hats. And following this fictional pirate crew for 20 years....I kinda expect SOME character development... Now you might point me to Sanji back story or robin back story etc. But you never see this in the character. For example Sanji, he had a hell of a back story and during the cake ark Sanji was showing some real ass emotion. But after the arc it's like that NEVER HAPPENED, and this is the same for most of all the characters in the series, there unchanging. Also I would love to see more personal interactions between the crew. Like what if Zoro and Sanji actually had a real ass talk....Sanji comes from whole cake and is pretending normal but Zoro immediately notices this and when the crew leaves he talks to him. Usopp after his fight with Luffy, even though he won't betray the crew again he starts keeping tabs on the powers of the crew. Has anyone ever had a series talk with Luffy? Sit Luffy down and make him actually talk to a crew member on a serious enough level even if it's not smart it would be good to see Luffys inner thoughts. Point is the crew need more crew moments. 3.) The girls (specifically robin) The girls in the series are uninteresting and and are poorly designed. Most are built like spoons with tits. Pre skip had this problem as well but the females looked better and had more depth. Now talking about my favorite girl robin...why oda do that? Pre and post robin aren't the same character lol. Pre robin was by far the best female design he has made. She was the complete opposite of NAMI, and this made her stand out on the crew. She had her tan skin, and that mature charm, she also had some level of self respect unlike NAMI. Then post skip happens and now she's like every other girl in OP with the spoon with tits build, always wearing the MOST revealing outfit possible, her tan is completely gone. Her personality is just a character trope now, something happened and she giggles maturely that's it. And she lost that self respect she once had in pre skip. ( Literally sitting butt naked with NAMI on a pedestal in a bath house full of guys. Pre robin would never, ask Franky) 4.) No one dies More characters in the series should have died. Death brings tension to the series and makes decisions actually matter, but most one piece arcs have no deaths at all. The series has become fat with very irrelevant characters who should be dead and would drive the series forward if they were dead. I'm still half way expecting Pedro to get back up. 5.) The One Piece Throughout this entire adventure we should get more clues on the one piece...and we should see the crew actually looking for it... Most arcs in the series have NOTHING to do with finding the one piece at all. Luffys mind set on it is like " oh we will drift there eventually" , but NO we need more moments of the crew looking and searching for it. Maybe raiding another crew to get clues etc. 6.) The islands Why the islands look like that....pre skip islands looked phenomenal, had everything you could ask for in a fictional island. Post skip islands look dumb... Like a plot of land with a stage prop directly in the middle. Just look back at all the post skip islands and you will see what I mean lol. Most of them are uninteresting, over the top and kinda boring if it wasn't for the big bad of the arc. Plus the characters do the same things ON EVERY ISLAND. like I shouldn't be able to predict what the crew dose before they do it like I have observation haki. Luffy- runs off somewhere Zoro- sleeps Nami-complains about Luffy Robin-acts mature Franky- Super Sanji- simps after the first girl he sees Usopp- somehow gets in trouble Chopper - follows the crowd Brook- tells a skull joke And that's on every island and the ones they don't do it on they stand out like wow they did something different. - And I can keep going but I'll stop here. The series is a good series but after watching for 20 years it starts to get repetitive and you see several flaws in the series. Most of which if we're resolved the series would be WAY better. But unfortunately if these flaws were fixed it would probably break the series, it's too late for oda to fix them.
“I hope shanks isn’t related to the celestial dragons” . . . (Spoilers) . . . Figarland Garling has entered the chat. Jewelry Bonney has entered the chat. Bonney is now confirmed to be related to the Celestial Dragons. Most likely, Shanks is related to them as well. It just is what it is at this point.
You’re right! There’s no continuity with health/life & death in this story. For example: Doflamingo keeps law hostage after shooting him, instead of just making sure he’s dead. Then 60 episodes later tries fighting him to the death. Why wouldn’t he just kill him when he had the chance? The man is master strategizer and overlooked that simple detail? Law gets shot three times point blank and suffers little to no damage, has on sea prism cuffs and doesn’t get healed for 40 episodes. Walks it off. Kyros gets his leg cut off, doesn’t phase him. Law gets his arm ripped off, doesn’t matter. Then gets shot by doflamingo 5 more times. Still doesn’t matter. Neither of them stop fighting… but when sanji gets a nose bleed from being too horny he needs an emergency blood transfusion after losing too much blood. Make it make sense, Oda. Rebecca gets hit with a mace right in the face, gets up and walks it off No matter how fierce the opposition, no matter the magnitude of the attack, most characters just get up and walk it off. Except for the backstory characters like people’s family, they’re the only ones who die immediately for some reason. What a coincidence, right?
I agree with your statements. I started getting pissed after time skip, arcs went too long, and story doesn't progress at all. We didn't discover anything about the one piece in 10+ years.
@@senseiroshi2338 you got my sub dude, now make more videos lol I have a few topics that bother me in one piece, especially the "return of Joyboy" paired with Roger saying " I wish I was born in the same era as you Joyboy". For me, Luffy and him were always the same person, but just my guess. Still haven't seen anybody talking about the fact that the Joyboy from 800 years ago is just Luffy, or will become Luffy ( let's say the person who had Jewelry Boney's fruit turned him back into a baby, and then Toki sent him in the future, this is not so crazy, or maybe Toki's awakening would allow her to send people in the past maybe? ). BTW, like Big mom and Kaido, we didn't see Toki's body ( and remember her scar when Oden came back to Wano, why showing It if this is not a sign to recognize her?).
My biggest problem with One Piece are the female character designs and the amount of exposition in later arcs like Wano. The male designs in one piece are fantastic they all look unique and different but the females are put into two categories really hot or really ugly and the really hot ones all basically share the same face and body proportions , this also doesn’t help the fact that I read the manga and it was really hard to discern characters like Nami Vivi and Rebecca. My second complaint isn’t as big but the amount of dialogue and exposition that happens in Wano is a bit ridiculous I love Wano but it was a bit tideous to read some chapters
Fr tho and in my opinion oda doesn’t write female characters all that good post time skip. pre time skip they were great, but post time skip female characters aren’t well written
I agree!! like don’t get me wrong the female characters are exceptionally well written and have depth but nowadays I feel like their importance has been reduced and their appearance seems to be the focus point, especially post time skip. their designs are just a carbon copy of each other, long hair, unrealistically large chests and noodle thin waists. Honestly they were a lot more distinctive and looked more unique beforehand
So one of my favorite things about One Piece is how much mythology and outside references are in the show. Some mysteries can even be better theorized by using the mythological origins. The symbolism is also a big factor. There have been times when the current may seem like an asspull but has actually been constructed and the effect of biding time is apparent. Like how Luffy and Zoro both were shown to have Conquers Haki way back in Whiskey Peak when they fought each other over the Borogue Works bandits. Everyone was theorizing when it was already proven YEARS before it was discussed in story
But the world of OP is completely inconsistent and arbitrary. These symbols rarely lead to anything tangible and could serve as mere background decoration in many cases. Most theories amount to nothing since the OP has a soft reboot after every arc, time, geography and technology in OP make no sense, and the story is full of retcons and plot holes at this point. Valid theorizing needs a solid foundation with consistency, and not a world where its creator throws everything he feels like at the moment together. It seems the entire series is carried by theories at this point.
The story is based off the fact that the final situation will be something that controls destiny and will so the point of everyone being special is literally the point
In a world where apperently your will and dreams are the things that put you at the top, everyone at the top seems to already have insane genetics or lineage or conq haki
I don't get this point tbh. It's not like conq haki is something completely random given to any random person, it's given to you if you have the qualities of a king/insane will power which people who are literally emperors have a pretty solid chance at having
Great video man! Really well put, its nice to see critiques from someone whos obviously a fan and acknowledges the series has been successful even with its obvious issues.
I use to think One piece has masterful world building but it doesn't. One Piece has a lot of ass pulls that this community ignores. World building and character building doesn't matter in One pIece. Kaido wants to die but he doesn't jump in the ocean. Luffy can fight fishman under the water because of a bubble but when he touches sea prism he goes limp and uses all strength. Haki was rare now everyone has it. No one had it at marineford accept Marco and a few others. Now everyone has it. Kaido can't kill anyone yet I'm supposed to believe he's so strong. Nami hasn't improved her maps in years. Zoro has no proper backstory. The gorsei didn't know that luffy was who he was but.................... the ability was the same ability of a special fruit. I don't want to spoil it. One pIece has so many problems I have to make a list because I forgot most of them. Shanks is portrayed as this bad ass yet he lost to blackbeard and he lets blackbeard run rampant. When he had a chance to deal with at marineford he asked politely if blackbeard would like to fight and BB laughed in face and turned his back on shanks becuase he's no thereat. All of these years what exactly has shanks been doing?........................... I could get into Katakuri,Big Mom,kaido flaws but whatever I've already dropped the series. Gear 2 and 3 was an asspull. I let that slide but then Gear 5 happens with no explanation. All Oda does is copy previous arcs and rinse and repeat. So predictable.
Facts I’m making a part 2 and I’m gonna include parts of this comment specifically but yeah it always bugged me that shanks rode on the same ship as oden and did nothing for 20 years while his people were oppressed
Japanese media is really obsessed with genes and special bloodlines . It's in 80% of anime, manga and movies. It's, in my opinion, really lame and it comes off as lazy writing
Western media is obsessed with super heroes and making everything as over powered as possible 10000th dimension tiering, picking up infinity, bench pressing the multiple planets and all that other bs
Manga: as the series went on the panels are so cluttered and I gotta zoom in jus to read. It’s so annoying Anime: the pacing and the animation at the beginning. They want make money so they prolong every little scene. It’s so annoying. That’s my biggest issues
@@senseiroshi2338 they can do seasons like other shows and take breaks. Which gives time for oda to get ahead. Then they make that season with goated animation and it doesn’t feel prolonged.
20:25 This is literally how I feel about Naruto. People complain about the lack of world building, but if Kishimoto focused more on his world building which could improve his universe, but it would also take away the amazing character writing that we love in Naruto! And that’s also what made Naruto, NARUTO! Because it was not world building driven!
@@Stanzbey69 it’s funny cause this is the only main criticism I ever see fans say about naruto, the war😂 have you seen literally ANY other arc in the series my man?
The amount of time used on fodder/ unimportnant fodder talking and characters running around for chapters upon chapters is too much also. OP is dragged the fuck out.
Oda could've avoided the luffy kaido punch simply by letting Zoro whose a swordsman who was foreshadowed to carry on the legacy of ryuma behead kaido. This is not about strength this is about match ups. Kaido skin should've been weak to Swordsman not brute attacks. Because Oda is a coward he abandoned a plot thread he actually foreshadowed (not like the made up foreshadowing yall be doing reaching to make excuses for luffy to be a god) when he made Zoro give up ryumas swords.
I hate this bloodline thing too and the worst offender is none other than Luffy himself. In the beginning you'd think he's just a silly boy with a silly name but actually: Monkey (super special rebel dad and navy hero grandpa) D. (super duper special and mysterious bloodline "enemy of the Gods") Luffy (....probably the name of the planet or something idk). I honestly still can't believe Oda resisted the urge to make Luffy the son of Roger. Also, goofy rubber ability? Nope - super special power of ANCIENT GOD who Luffy either IS or IS RELATED TO!!!! Haki? Luffy has the RAREST Haki!!!! Signature straw hat? Nope - hat belonging to the KING OF THE PIRATES!!! No characters with eye-patch in a pirate story? Could the first one be the kid who stabbed himself under the eye in the first chapter?! The one the PROPHECY says is required for the One PIece, THE GREATEST TREASURE? Do I even need to say it? I'm just at the end of Wano now but goddamn. By the end of the story, Luffy is gonna turn out to be the Alpha, the Omega, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
My personal issues with OP 1. Oda bloating and over saturating his arcs. Introducing a surplus of characters, lore and storylines that take no real precedence in the narrative ( More so a post time skip issue with Fishman Island, Dressrosa and now currently Wano being the most egregious example of this) Oda should focus more on what he has vs throwing every idea at the wall. 2. Mysteries and Unknowns need to start getting answered. Reaching the end of OP I hope to see more answers than questions cuz if things don’t start getting sprinkled in now it will lead to yet another oversaturated ending riddled with exposition dumps. 3. The Character Work of the Strawhats. Though the straw hats are thoroughly fleshed out characters with some development. They always seem to regress back into a stagnant state. Making it very jarring as a viewer to see a character go through something so tragic just for it to fade and have no effect on the dynamic of the crew. ( this is y I fuck with pre timeskip more specifically water 7) It addresses the thoughts and concerns of the crew whilst making them seem very human and actually like a crew. Rather than multiple personalities on a ship exchanging gags.
Everything yall complained about in Naruto Oda has amplified and done far more and far worse. Naruto was hard working and became a god? Luffy became a god. He died and was resurrected and there are no medical ninjas or seals to explain how he came back to life. There were no explanations for how to awaken his devil fruit. He even changed the fruit from paramecia to zoan. I'm not letting that slide! fake out death after fake out death. No tension at all.
EXACTLYYY😂😂😂 i love both series but when I see op fans criticize naruto for reasons like these, I wonder if they’re just blind, in denial or hypocritical
@Gin-San101 yup, now explain how naruto is egregious with what it does. Bet you’re one of those crayon eaters who still believe the main theme is hardwork beats talent😂😂 please go touch grass
@Gin-San101 with your gum gum fruit example, by that logic, many people had kurama inside of them and couldn’t properly utilize his power until naruto came along. And naruto and sasuke aren’t unstoppable, Luffys fruit was retconned as a mythical zoan that allows him to alter reality even if it’s at a low level. What made luffy unique was that he was creative with his seemingly weak df before gear 5 came along and being the next joyboy. So criticizing naruto for being a reincarnation (which was foreshadowed as early as part 1 btw) then defend gear 5 is very hypocritical.
@Gin-San101 thanks for proving you didn’t watch naruto😂😂 kushina and mito uzumaki were both jinchuriki of kurama before naruto. That sentence alone tells me all I need to know😂🤦🏽♂️ didn’t train to use the power? What do you think his training with jiraiya during the timeskip was? What do you think his training with bee was? He literally holds his own and beats kurama in a 1v1 during his training with bee. And pretty sure you just debunked your own claim then genius. If they lost then they’re clearly not unstoppable😂😂 and yea it gives him creativity by allowing him to literally alter reality🤣 and naruto being a reincarnation only means he’s destined to kill or be killed by sasuke, that’s all. Before claiming that narutos egregious with what it does, actually make sure you watch or read the series beforehand..
Idk if this is a hot take or not but Oda’s style of writing remind me so much of JK Rowling, they both think of cool things that can happen in the arc, but they both don’t figure out a way to implement them naturally at all, like the whole implementation of Haki just comes out of nowhere and we’re expected to accept that everyone’s always had it they’ve just never mentioned it or acknowledged it’s existence pre time skip
Haki was always there wdym 💀 Shanks used haki in first 4 eps but never explained what that was Whole skypia mantra thing was obs haki Literally we confirmed that thing was called haki when shanks and wb met Even garp used haki when he punched luffy in ennies lobby whole amazon lily knows haki Just cuz east blue and grandline isnt strong as new world so we never witnessed more haki feats and we never saw alot of ppl use haki some of new world ppl actually used in east blue like shanks garp also wbvs shanks clash was haki Why dont you just say this way I NEVER ACTUALLY WATCHED SHOW WITH MY EYES OPEN literally oda just didn’t give any explanation on that power thats all there is its not like it was never there lol
One of my biggest gripes with one piece is the long backstories or conversations that happen in the middle of a fight. Like i can appreciate a good backstory or banter. Or a one episode backstory in between is fine too. But sometimes i feel like they just drag on. (I will also say that i have not yet read the manga and am still in the middle of the anime, so i know my oppinion doesnt fully count) But i am interested in seeing how the manga handles stuff once i finish the anime.
I think the live action plans on killing off some of the characters that didn't die but really should have in season 2. Characters like Koza when be gets shot a ton of times by the baroque works agents and also Pell.
Luffy’s Gear 5 with Kaido is the same issue with what happened in Naruto with Madara. Where the author suddenly realizes they made the villain too powerful and tries to think of a way for the hero to win. So they decide to shove in a last minute out of nowhere poorly explained super Devine power up to give the hero that extra boost and expect fans will like it as much as when Goku first turned Super Saiyan against Frieza.
@@senseiroshi2338 I want to finish the Wano arc first. I’m currently at 1040. And if I’m honest I’m not really impressed with this arc save for the animation.
I remember Mora was traumatized by Kaido... and even Doflamingo was afraid of Kaido. Apparently Doflamingo was supposed to fight alongside Kaido... I'm so bummed we never got to see Moria and Doffy soil themselves in Kaido's prescence, it'd make him much more scary.
very short of time i finished one piece all episode but most of time i find out every in episode reall new story not even more then 5 mints. And most of time they replay past memorys camera on every 100 characters of reactions etc i feel bad for these people who wested there many years with realize how they are stricked. If is it possible i will drag oda into a court.
Great critism the royal bloodline thing is good but also we've reached the stage of one piece where it looks like history is repeating its self the void century but i see what u mean like bro can someone not be royalty like i found kinemon being the best side character in wano like i love wano is like alabasta but not consistent highest highs and low lows imo egghead is easily the best arc arguable with marineford things feel nice arc felt sooo short too it truly encapselated one piece sorry if i spelt encapsa idk 💀💀but the the problem i have with wano the most is the fact we arent getting much bits and pieces outside the one piece world like bro egghead did a great job and bro we praying my boy usopp gets advanced COC and future sight i relate to usopp alot cuz hes black just show him some love and the fact u brought up actual issues and not one piece too long bad animation like bro my sis said the same thing and now she wearing my strawht with pride like actual takes smart ones too and the killing part yh but ppl dying in the final saga now and i like it i didnt expect i dont think anyone expected vegapunk to die especially after what sanji did or the other vegapunks to die this arc was an arc no one predicted hope elbafs gives usopp advance no masterclass* COC also saw ur new vids ill watch them way just make the thumbnails look cooler they kinda look like slideshows asides that great critism bro
I'm relativley new to the 1 Piece Series , l've just finished the whole cake island arc about a few days ago , one of my few problems about this series is that Oda practically made tge story a bit too Luffy centric in therms of how he beats some of the main antagonist of the arcs , l would've loved to see an alternate scenario where Law wasn't that incapacitated and decided to help around Luffy with his battle agaisnt Doffy maybe switching the locations like how in JJK where Todo and Yuji did in that one battle against tree dude , and l would've liked if Luffy didn't activate Gear 4 twice to defeat Doffy , l think that Law should've killed Doffy since that was his goal all along cause doffy didn't do anything else after that arc (unless he did something crazy after Dressrosa in the manga ). I also find it questionable how Oda did Zoro and Sanji during the post time skip , l didn't like how Zoro was doing during the Pika fight draging the battle to an unreasonable amount which it should've lasted a lot shorter and during the Monet battle being given basic fodders , as for Sanji l dislike how oda made him soo down bad during that arc , l despise pervs in general so l didn't like his nose bleed ''gags'' which were disgusting in my opinionwhere that time could've been given to his improved cooking where it could give some phisical enhancments like how it was depicted during punk hazzard .
finally, someone said it. It's just that One Piece have a very dedicated fanbase that anything negative thrown at the series, even if they're constructive criticism are not accepted.
I would say great video, one piece has a great story, but the whole death scenario, like for the bird man in Alabasta, I would say they shouldn’t come out unscathed, they should lose something in return, like the explosion flash was so bright that he would be blind, or lose the ability to fly… they could even play more into it like blind bird man after timeskip becomes a master of observation haki and once the Strawhats go back to Alabasta, we can see that the bird can see everything in the palace or whatever. Like the idea of haki goes well when someone loses something important and instead of getting it back, they would train with their haki to get some close or even better to what they lost.
I had admired op when I was still a teenager. But as I grow older, I really think op is just overrated. Not like any other anime, I barely feel any emotions when watching op.
EVERYTHING you’ve said in here is valid. I especially agree with the “important bloodline” thing. If any more Straw Hats turn out to be related to someone special, I’d probably be pretty disappointed (depending on the circumstance). But most of the time I’m lenient with this. Like with the ASL thing, the only reason why Luffy even met Ace is because Roger told Garp to take care of him. So in that scenario it doesn’t bother me. Also, I want to point out that Sabo isn’t royalty, he was just born into a wealthy family
At the end of the day any anime or pieces of fiction for that matter has flaws honestly it depends how people and fandom treats those I think that's why I like the one piece community so much
I will say that i agree with most of these things especially post time skip im currently on whole cake rn and i hate the way women are portrayed and i dislike robins ps design and i hated sanji in fishman island and the fake deaths dont get me started on the pacing man i love one piece its my fav anime but its so hard to recommend this because of its many flaws i could say alot kore but im tired but i still love the show oh and bring back monster point chopper in pre ts not this weird ts version
Here's my rant... TLDR My complaint with One Piece isn't that it's too long, my problem is that there are too many plot points, and because Oda juggles so many... people think he's a genius. Again, the story isn't "too long" but while Oda has "masterfully crafted the best fiction" I would argue many of his plot points are exhausted and resolution is far past overdo. People might argue the fights are all off-screen to save time, and to that I would say, until Oda starts moving these plot points to their resolution... fights are all the manga is good for. I think Oda is overrated in general... my pet peeve isn't so much with the show, because the show is OBVIOUSLY flawed... and I say this as a fan. My problem is that the majority of fans seem to just take EVERYTHING he does and add it up to something that was "planned from the beginning" or "foreshadowed" and it's just like... not how writing works. Oda has an obvious game plan, but just because something happens doesn't mean it's like a god-tier big brained writing play... it's just like he wrote something... and for alot of people these things need resolution, because One Piece as a whole is built on tension, and 80% of that tension is from answers to mysteries in One Piece whether is "what is the One Piece" or something as small as "what's Iva talking about? What's Crocodile's secret?" I don't know, I just find it extremely annoying... Oda has written a beautiful story so far, but he get's alot of undo praise imo... and it leads to annoying conversations with people who like the same thing I do. I also very upset with the amount of off-screen battles. I don't give a good golden fuck that Oda might want to hide certain characters "full power." It's bullshit, it's literally everything, like yes, we do wonder what these characters are doing during the arc... but I'd rather see the fight than even hear that it happened at all. it just adds more tension in the story... but it's undo. For the amount of tension we already get from mysteries waiting for answers, I think it's total horseshit the amount of shit that happens off screen. I mean really man, I think I first started getting really REALLY mad about it after the Wano Arc... where Luffy is on the Sunny with the crew... and Luffy tells THE CREW his dream... and what do we get? EVERYONE LOOKING AT HIM IN SHOCK OR LAUGHING. That was THE THIRD time it was brought up in the story... maybe more than that, don't quote me.. but seriously??? Where we are now, we have Sun God Nika Monkey D Luffy in the supposed FINAL arc of One Piece, and ODA STILL EDGING ON THAT SHIT!!! My complaint with One Piece isn't that it's too long, my problem is that there are too many plot points, and because Oda juggles so many... people think he's a genius.
This is true but also not oda is a genuis and they way he juggles all the way he juggles the plots is masterful imo. But if he doesn’t resolve these mysteries in a good way then yes you are right he’s overrated
it's not really that masterfully if you look at it with the perspective that he's just writing the story backwards... he's put it in a way where he can open a plot point and either conclude it or forget it. It's almost like retelling Star Wars 4-6, but all the answers answers to the questions are in 1-3 and he is just working those parts into the story at the same time and revealing whenever he feels like it, or an idea actually comes to him.... HE HAS NOT PLANNED ALL OF THIS and it's blatantly obvious with the amount of retcons in his story. So far he finally reveal where Devil Fruit come from, and the answer was trash... it was like an elementary school kid's idea.@@senseiroshi2338
when i first started one piece i really liked it was funny and stuff and it actually inspired me to start writing my first novel (i wanna be a writer someday) but one thing that really ruined the show for me is the fanbase. i just don't like how they treat one piece as if it was the absolute best fictional story ever to be written and anyone who likes something else better is just stupid. like okay it's really good the plot and characters are all greatly conctructed but not everyone is gonna like it. some people will simply not like the story or find it boring and it's OK to have such an opinion but that's something alot of one piece fans seem to struggle to accept
I'm a casual One Piece fan, I took a break after the time skip and the story seems to be all over the place and still has very little answers. I can see why many fans are divided with the Wano arc (for a lot of reasons), and we are STILL no closer to One Piece.

"Oda doesn't make mistakes" O'kiku is literally wasted space, has nothing important going on besides just existing as a "hey it's a trans character". Every other scabberd had an important moment in the series except him: Kinémon- Is the first who took care of Momonoske like a father, helped the strawhats the most, was leader who regrouped the scabbards and samurai for the raid, lead the attack on Kaido, cut down Kanguro, bought time for Mononoske to escape. Kanjuro- Ws the big traitor who sabotaged everything the alliance tried to accomplish, killed Asura, and nearly blew onigashima up. Denjiro- Was the most loyal that after Oden's death got so mad his face changed and infiltrated the palace whole also protecting Hiyori, bringing backup after a counter attack by Orochimaru, & delt the final blow to Orochimaru. Dogstorm- Protected Raizo during the day, brought mink army, and defeated Jack. Catviper- Protected Raizo during the night, brought mink army, and defeated Perospero. Kawamatsu- Took care of Hyori during her childhood and befriended a fox who was so loyal it collected weapons for the war after he was captured. Raizo- Helped luffy during udon prison, defeated the ninja leader, saved onigashima from raging fire. Ashura- Was a bandit boss whose army joined the war, & saved the scabbards from being blown up by Kanguro. Izo- Followed Oden out to sea out of loyalty, fought during Marineford, saved Usopp, Kin, and kiku, killed a CP0 agent while dying from his wounds. kiku, introduced as a waiter, cut a sumo guy's hair, was "support" for Chopper & ... during Olin amnesia, did less than Kappa in Udon besides revealing he's a guy, cut down Kanguro (failed), did a combo Paradise Todska, got his arm severed, got cut down by Kanguro who he failed to kill, was dead weight for the rest of the raid, and joined the women's bath to promote "trans rights" even tho he should have been beaten to the mens bath by Nami because he's an adult man and his delusions don't change reality. If Oda instead had him be an actual biological woman, then their would have been a story about an important female samurai in the sexiest land of Wano who fought against the norm and became a samurai retainer for the 2nd most beloved man in Wano's history. This would have been a more exciting story about a woman samurai struggling and even if failing, would have made some impact for the women of Wano to try and become better versions of themselves.
Everything has it’s flaws and that shouldn’t make you not like it less, since at that point you won’t like anything, is what some people should understand. Good review.
As I’m reading through the alabasta arc I might have to accept that the story telling is mid. The question is do I commit to reading the entire series 😓
I mean I think I thionk zoro should've killed kiado but thats just me. If oda doesn't have anymore use for him I'd hope he's dead or else it'd be a problem for the story.
@@senseiroshi2338 yeah I really don't see what use he'd be narrativly by being alive it's so goofy, we should just had an insane death scene but instead we have no clue what we got feels bad man
My biggest problem with OP is the retcon of Luffy DF. I don't see its use since Gomu-Gomu's awakening was enough to allow Oda to draw the wacky fighting style that Luffy uses now. But I still wait for an explanation of why Joy Boy's introduction was necessary for the current story and then, I might change my mind.
When you brought up the dad guy from skypiea, that was one that was a definite: "This dude got fucking obliterated, he is dead and there is nothing left of him." then at the end of the arc, he's just okay??? Not even hurt???
Isn't it because of the theme that strong wills live on, usually through your decedents? But yeah, it's so true that nobody ever dies. it's as if Oda can only kill off 1 character every year or so. despite the huge roster in this story
A lot of One Piece characters are turning into the "chosen ones" where theyre now born special instead of being a normal person who worked hard to be where theyre at.
Great video sir. Was very insightful. One Piece sure is interesting in that regard now that you mentioned it. I can't say anything about it cause I dropped the series twice already and am in no hurry to pick it up again, but I still watch some One Piece videos after hearing that Wano arc is pretty controversial along the fans that I rarely have seen before in One Piece community. I think One Piece community is pretty good too except few elitists and children. I wish Bleach community has something good to say about Bleach and Kubo XD. I read Bleach and One Piece in 2019 itself and Bleach has become one of my fav. Arlong park is a goated arc for me in One Piece tho.
This is probably why they’re remaking the anime. Also I think that the final saga will take some different turns, I would hope oda sees this flaw in his storytelling and do something different for the last few arcs
My BIGGEST problem with one piece is its pirates and pretty much any character don't appear tough in my opinion. They look ridiculous. A fucking mouse captain? A dog captain? How am I supposed to take someone like that seriously? Why does Arlong need a snow hat? WHY? Why do so many pirates have these weird dumb aesthetics to them? Do they all go thrifting in their spare time? I don't mind the characters and the personalities I just think if you are a pirate you shouldn't look like you just bought your clothes yesterday and you are a fashion icon.
did you read it? I am talking about how stupid they look not about how tough they are. I did not say anywhere that I don't like their characters I just don't like how they dress up like barbies @@gaminginvirinch3339
The problem is the show tries to be serious but the ridiculous looking pirates make me want to not take it seriously. The enemies don't feel intimidating. It works better in cartoon form. But personally I think villains should look tough. Thats just my personal opinion though. I know a lot of people like the design of the show. @GameofDthrones-pq9ys
I always hated these concepts Oda uses like Luffy and Ace have to be from the best bloodlines out there. Including having the will of D. It limits the potential of the story from the get go. But the execution is bad aswell because everyone is suddenly royalty. Thats why I like Usopp the dude is a beast. Most People relate to hard working characters.
i agree one piece have problems (and i agree with most of the points brought up in the video, especially the will of D. i hate it , why do the important characters of history need a middle name to be special or because they inhereted their will from someone), which is logical for something created by a single person in the span of 25+ years (i am talking about the manga, the anime have even more problems, but the remake might fix it). It has some pacing issues , by cutting peek moments in a battle to show something else. Wano had too many characters that i did not care about shown too much, i cared about the samurai as a whole but not individually expect maybe for kiemon. The fake deaths in wano were awfull, after the incredible scene at the roof with kiemon putting his faith in luffy, instead of dying , we see him running around 10 chapters later (one of the worst moments in the series for me). In dressrosa there was also a lot of artificial suspense, that was honestly quite annoying (for example when luffy almost beat dofi but instead of ending it he run out of haki). Despite all that thow, the series good qualities outweight the bad by an incredible amount. The characters act quite realistic (to the point i have parasocial relationship with them) and they are admirable, despite all the difficulties. The story offer so much emotional momments and it does not follow a lot of the common trops and cliches which makes it unpredictable. Also the world and lore are incredible, and the lore reveals through out the series feel amazing. I have read an incredible amount of manga(japanese), manhwa(korean) and manhua(chinese) and i have watched most of the popular and lot of less popular western tv shows, i know all the common tropes and cliches. But one piece is my favorite story and in my opinion is one of a kind masterpiece. (sorry for my bad english, not my native language)
I mean one piece is about the dawn of a new pirate age searching for the one piece so characters like Doflomingo crocodile Moria and luffy were all inspired to be pirate king, people like zoro shanks and roger everyone are kings at heart so them being related to royalty or special is guaranteed 98% of the time because there guided by fate
You are forgetting the most important thing no one talks about, Luffy, doesn’t really have character development, all he did is just get stronger and powerful, new gear mode, but he is the same immature reckless fool from the very first episode/chapter, who is the same way even after he saw people close to him dies or himself nearly died, it only impacted him for a while until he acts the same way, like his tropes are not funny anymore and still heavily relied on
So on the first point I think it makes sense that Luffy always meets with prominent people. They the only ones who speak Luffys language of “put your life on the line for your ambitions” Those are the ones Luffy has to respond too, he don’t ignore that stuff. Also Luffy naturally knows who are important people and story wise it fits since in order to be truly free you’ve got to position yourself either above the highest rank around or have a position outside the highest rank’s jurisdiction
Also my other issue is the amount of devil fruit users. They were supposed to be rare and mythical. But wver since they entered rhe grand line, almost every 2nd character is a devil fruit user. They just keep popping up like it is candy. Oprah is going, you get a devil fruti, and you get a devil fruit and so one. The straw hats alone are 4 devil fruit users. It ia annoying.
It's a grandline and you are mad that they have abilities. Is it offensive that characters have abilities? What kind of dumb criticism is that? Sanji doesn't have devil fruit the 2nd main character Zoro doesn't have devil fruit. It's Luffy, Chopper, Robin, brook and to be honest it's not that much of deal whether they have magic or normal strength
I disagree, Luffy did not defeat Kaido with one punch. Kaido dug his own grave bc he was so hot he melted down to the magma pool. And with extreme pressure being released he probably got blown away with valcano eruption Keimon was cut in half by law so he was still cut in half
But getting 100 times stronger after sudden power up and not to forget that he's just died before unlocking gear 5... it's an ass pull..like the concept but the execution is garbage 🗑️.
@@tuanmohdarfantuankhusairry2977 have you ever seen the movie how the grinch stole Christmas and his heart grew 3 times bigger that’s like what happened to luffy but it literally is taking years off his life in gear 5 plus it was his haki that won the battle

Calling it now: Carrot is really the Princess of Zou but the Dukes hid the truth from her till the time was right to tell her. That's why she was stopped from sailing with the SHs. She needs to become the next Vivi/Rebecca/Shirahoshi/Momonosuke. Carrot has no backstory. She only briefly sailed with the SHs. Is that reason enough to let her, this 15 year old girl with no special bloodline, rule the tribe? It makes no sense.
@@senseiroshi2338 Oh it's 100% bad writing. But it's that kind of "twist" that Oda specialises in. Keeping key information from the audience for no reason other than to give himself wriggle room down the line. It's like J.J Abrams "mystery box" writing, Oda keeps things vague and unexplained purely so he can bullshit an answer later. I'm still calling Carrot is a secret Princess because Oda is uncreative like that.
I agree one piece has too much plot conveniences! Everyone is related to royalty or someone powerful or is friends with someone powerful. I mean come on this is starting to feel like bs!
@senseiroshi2338 it's an issue not inky with one piece but something that destroyed naruto too, why can't they just have an ordinary guy who worked hard against the odds , nope, it has to be some legends kid, the no death thing is really killing one piece,a pirate movie, it's like they have dragon balls too, they'll be back, it kills the tension
Those aren't small flaws, they are important aspect of any story told on any media (book, radio, t.v., etc.) the spacing and the fights pacing has been terrible too. And there's an status quo within the characte's personalities not even the creator wants to break. Usop despite all that he undure during the time lapse he still a coward, i was expecting him to be more stratigic, Rudolph is now a pet and what i hate the most Oda changed his hat design completely like it didn't mean something.
You just have to accept that some people Don’t
see what you see in everything.. And that’s just life!

@Gin-San101 You are literally a man child throwing a temper tantrum because Mid Piece is complete garbage.
I have so many problems with this series I probably can't put them all in 1 comment lol. But I'll try.
1.) Luffy himself
I like Luffy as a character and he's an amazing protagonist.
2.) The Crew
I love the straw hats.
3.) The girls (specifically robin)
The girls in the series are uninteresting and and are poorly designed.
Pre robin would never, ask Franky)
4.) No one dies
More characters in the series should have died. Death brings tension to the series and makes decisions actually matter, but most one piece arcs have no deaths at all.
The series has become fat with very irrelevant characters who should be dead and would drive the series forward if they were dead.
I'm still half way expecting Pedro to get back up.
5.) The One Piece
Throughout this entire adventure we should get more clues on the one piece...and we should see the crew actually looking for it... Most arcs in the series have NOTHING to do with finding the one piece at all.
Luffys mind set on it is like " oh we will drift there eventually" , but NO we need more moments of the crew looking and searching for it. Maybe raiding another crew to get clues etc.
6.) The islands
Why the islands look like that....pre skip islands looked phenomenal, had everything you could ask for in a fictional island.
Luffy- runs off somewhere
Zoro- sleeps
Nami-complains about Luffy
Robin-acts mature
Franky- Super
Sanji- simps after the first girl he sees
Usopp- somehow gets in trouble
Chopper - follows the crowd
Brook- tells a skull joke
And that's on every island and the ones they don't do it on they stand out like wow they did something different.
-
And I can keep going but I'll stop here. The series is a good series but after watching for 20 years it starts to get repetitive and you see several flaws in the series. Most of which if we're resolved the series would be WAY better. But unfortunately if these flaws were fixed it would probably break the series, it's too late for oda to fix them.
Okay I’m definitely making a part two video because of this comment
@@senseiroshi2338 lol can't wait to see it.

Bonney is now confirmed to be related to the Celestial Dragons. Most likely, Shanks is related to them as well. It just is what it is at this point.
Facts bro 😂
crazy I read this comment as it played in the video smh This video was too accurate 😂😂😂
You’re right! There’s no continuity with health/life & death in this story. For example:
Doflamingo keeps law hostage after shooting him, instead of just making sure he’s dead.
Rebecca gets hit with a mace right in the face, gets up and walks it off
No matter how fierce the opposition, no matter the magnitude of the attack, most characters just get up and walk it off. Except for the backstory characters like people’s family, they’re the only ones who die immediately for some reason. What a coincidence, right?
Yeah stuff like that gets on my nerves
Doflamingo is hesitant to kill Law because he has the Ope Ope Fruit powers. The Ope Ope Fruit can give immortality but at the cost of the user's life.

Holy shit that’s true
@@senseiroshi2338 you got my sub dude, now make more videos lol
I have a few topics that bother me in one piece, especially the "return of Joyboy" paired with Roger saying " I wish I was born in the same era as you Joyboy".
@@Steevy84 yk what stevy ima fr talk about that and thanks for the sub brother I really appreciate the support
@@senseiroshi2338 big mom ? That woman has no idea how's rubber work . 😂😂
I agree!! like don’t get me wrong the female characters are exceptionally well written and have depth but nowadays I feel like their importance has been reduced and their appearance seems to be the focus point, especially post time skip. their designs are just a carbon copy of each other, long hair, unrealistically large chests and noodle thin waists.

Yeah I love that too. Plus op has the best lore hands down
But the world of OP is completely inconsistent and arbitrary.
Everything has flaws but i love how it is the story, adventure, frienship and the world . I just wish i get to see the ending before i die
Same and I wanna see more characters die

@@uniqueslug bro just said the most obvious shit. You are dumb
The story is based off the fact that the final situation will be something that controls destiny and will so the point of everyone being special is literally the point
Naruto arcs were not that repetitive though. The part about no stakes is so true and it made me drop one piece twice
I feel you but I hope you pick the series back up it’s still one of the greatest stories ever told
Thanks bro
Oda is now trying something different after wano ends. I sure hope it comes out well for anime fans in general

Western media is obsessed with super heroes and making everything as over powered as possible 10000th dimension tiering, picking up infinity, bench pressing the multiple planets and all that other bs

Manga: as the series went on the panels are so cluttered and I gotta zoom in jus to read. It’s so annoying
Anime: the pacing and the animation at the beginning. They want make money so they prolong every little scene. It’s so annoying.
That’s my biggest issues
I think the anime does that because they don't have seasons a new ep comes every week they're close behind the manga and need to stretch it for time.

I honestly don’t see why he couldn’t just do both honestly

The amount of time used on fodder/ unimportnant fodder talking and characters running around for chapters upon chapters is too much also. OP is dragged the fuck out.
It lowkey is tho
Oda could've avoided the luffy kaido punch simply by letting Zoro whose a swordsman who was foreshadowed to carry on the legacy of ryuma behead kaido. This is not about strength this is about match ups. Kaido skin should've been weak to Swordsman not brute attacks. Because Oda is a coward he abandoned a plot thread he actually foreshadowed (not like the made up foreshadowing yall be doing reaching to make excuses for luffy to be a god) when he made Zoro give up ryumas swords.
The funny thing is I agree completely I was a fan of the zoro kills kiado theory
Low key I don’t like the chosen one thing either
My personal issues with OP
1. Oda bloating and over saturating his arcs. Introducing a surplus of characters, lore and storylines that take no real precedence in the narrative
( More so a post time skip issue with Fishman Island, Dressrosa and now currently Wano being the most egregious example of this) Oda should focus more on what he has vs throwing every idea at the wall.
On your number 2 point idk if you’re reading egghead island but we getting answers lowkey
@Gin-San101 no you’re just biased/hypocritical and it shows. Matter of fact those 4 paragraphs u bothered to type proved it.
Right like I never liked that plus if it did exist the cp9 agents should’ve had it
Haki was always there wdym 💀
Shanks used haki in first 4 eps but never explained what that was
Whole skypia mantra thing was obs haki
Literally we confirmed that thing was called haki when shanks and wb met
Even garp used haki when he punched luffy in ennies lobby whole amazon lily knows haki
Just cuz east blue and grandline isnt strong as new world so we never witnessed more haki feats and we never saw alot of ppl use haki some of new world ppl actually used in east blue like shanks garp also wbvs shanks clash was haki
Why dont you just say this way I NEVER ACTUALLY WATCHED SHOW WITH MY EYES OPEN
literally oda just didn’t give any explanation on that power thats all there is its not like it was never there lol
Haki was shown and mentioned pre-ts quite a bit
I agree with most things you've said.
At this point I've already accepted that people in OP are simply built different

One of my biggest gripes with one piece is the long backstories or conversations that happen in the middle of a fight. Like i can appreciate a good backstory or banter. Or a one episode backstory in between is fine too.
But sometimes i feel like they just drag on. (I will also say that i have not yet read the manga and am still in the middle of the anime, so i know my oppinion doesnt fully count)
But i am interested in seeing how the manga handles stuff once i finish the anime.
Toei's pacing is horrible. That's why there's a remake but now your wasted your time watching Toei's adaptation of One Piece
I think the live action plans on killing off some of the characters that didn't die but really should have in season 2. Characters like Koza when be gets shot a ton of times by the baroque works agents and also Pell.
Facts koza took more bullets than 50 cent 😂
Luffy’s Gear 5 with Kaido is the same issue with what happened in Naruto with Madara. Where the author suddenly realizes they made the villain too powerful and tries to think of a way for the hero to win. So they decide to shove in a last minute out of nowhere poorly explained super Devine power up to give the hero that extra boost and expect fans will like it as much as when Goku first turned Super Saiyan against Frieza.

Here's my rant...
TLDR
My complaint with One Piece isn't that it's too long, my problem is that there are too many plot points, and because Oda juggles so many... people think he's a genius.

That’s just a gag
when i first started one piece i really liked it was funny and stuff and it actually inspired me to start writing my first novel (i wanna be a writer someday) but one thing that really ruined the show for me is the fanbase. i just don't like how they treat one piece as if it was the absolute best fictional story ever to be written and anyone who likes something else better is just stupid. like okay it's really good the plot and characters are all greatly conctructed but not everyone is gonna like it. some people will simply not like the story or find it boring and it's OK to have such an opinion but that's something alot of one piece fans seem to struggle to accept

Ws the big traitor who sabotaged everything the alliance tried to accomplish, killed Asura, and nearly blew onigashima up.
Denjiro-
Was the most loyal that after Oden's death got so mad his face changed and infiltrated the palace whole also protecting Hiyori, bringing backup after a counter attack by Orochimaru, & delt the final blow to Orochimaru.
Dogstorm-
Protected Raizo during the day, brought mink army, and defeated Jack.
Catviper-
Protected Raizo during the night, brought mink army, and defeated Perospero.
Kawamatsu-
Took care of Hyori during her childhood and befriended a fox who was so loyal it collected weapons for the war after he was captured.
Raizo-
Helped luffy during udon prison, defeated the ninja leader, saved onigashima from raging fire.
Ashura-
Was a bandit boss whose army joined the war, & saved the scabbards from being blown up by Kanguro.
Izo-
Followed Oden out to sea out of loyalty, fought during Marineford, saved Usopp, Kin, and kiku, killed a CP0 agent while dying from his wounds.
kiku, introduced as a waiter, cut a sumo guy's hair, was "support" for Chopper & ... during Olin amnesia, did less than Kappa in Udon besides revealing he's a guy, cut down Kanguro (failed), did a combo Paradise Todska, got his arm severed, got cut down by Kanguro who he failed to kill, was dead weight for the rest of the raid, and joined the women's bath to promote "trans rights" even tho he should have been beaten to the mens bath by Nami because he's an adult man and his delusions don't change reality.
Yessss trust me it’s worth it bro
Should Kaido have died? I dont really rember what he said when we met him but when we did was he still on that "i just wanna die" mental?
I mean I think I thionk zoro should've killed kiado but thats just me. If oda doesn't have anymore use for him I'd hope he's dead or else it'd be a problem for the story.
@@senseiroshi2338 yeah I really don't see what use he'd be narrativly by being alive it's so goofy, we should just had an insane death scene but instead we have no clue what we got
feels bad man
@@sebastianrivera9537 facts bro
My biggest problem with OP is the retcon of Luffy DF. I don't see its use since Gomu-Gomu's awakening was enough to allow Oda to draw the wacky fighting style that Luffy uses now.
But I still wait for an explanation of why Joy Boy's introduction was necessary for the current story and then, I might change my mind.
Honestly I really want to know how he awakened that fruit after dying
When you brought up the dad guy from skypiea, that was one that was a definite: "This dude got fucking obliterated, he is dead and there is nothing left of him." then at the end of the arc, he's just okay??? Not even hurt???
7:48
Well, that DEFINITELY didn't age well..
Isn't it because of the theme that strong wills live on, usually through your decedents? But yeah, it's so true that nobody ever dies. it's as if Oda can only kill off 1 character every year or so. despite the huge roster in this story

After how they handled Merry, Im pretty optimistic in the live action being able to rack up a body count going forward
Possible unpopular opinion: Oceans Dream was a wasted pre-timeskip arc.
Which ability is that?
@@senseiroshi2338 its the arc where a horse steals all their memories
My son watches, it will catch my eye because it does have good art. Once characters start talking it gets too dumb to continue.
That’s probably because it’s the dub you should try sub
A lot of One Piece characters are turning into the "chosen ones" where theyre now born special instead of being a normal person who worked hard to be where theyre at.
Yeah I mean it’s mostly Luffy and crew but I’m still not for it honestly
You should read all the way to marine ford I don’t think you’d be disappointed
This is probably why they’re remaking the anime. Also I think that the final saga will take some different turns, I would hope oda sees this flaw in his storytelling and do something different for the last few arcs

Who’s gonna be the one to tell bro what Shanks’ last name is 👀
Lmao bro reads the manga. And I do weekly chapter uploads bless me with that follow, check out the channel, and join the gang Brodie
@@senseiroshi2338 I got you mate 💪🏽
My BIGGEST problem with one piece is its pirates and pretty much any character don't appear tough in my opinion. They look ridiculous. A fucking mouse captain? A dog captain? How am I supposed to take someone like that seriously? Why does Arlong need a snow hat? WHY? Why do so many pirates have these weird dumb aesthetics to them? Do they all go thrifting in their spare time? I don't mind the characters and the personalities I just think if you are a pirate you shouldn't look like you just bought your clothes yesterday and you are a fashion icon.
I feel you
Same arlong beats sh*t out of bellemere and shots her in the end in front of nami and tortures the kid for yeara
Your whole complain is dumb
did you read it?
But everyone being related takes away from them being individuals. It’s just adding another character onto them. IMO
I dont like the way Oda treats Usopp
Yeah I feel like he’s waiting until elbaf
Bro W video, as one piece simp you 100% correct
I agree dude
I appreciate that!
Coming back to this after finding out shanks is a celestial 😂🤦🏽♂️ button
lol he prolly got a evil twin
Damn you literally said this at the end of vid😂
@@jasperjones5518 yeah lol
@@jasperjones5518 thanks for adding tho
And with extreme pressure being released he probably got blown away with valcano eruption
Keimon was cut in half by law so he was still cut in half
Come on bro that Kenimon thing was plot armor to the fullest and yk it.

I love one piece but i gotta say one piece becomes a bit more overrated these days. Oda is a genius but a lot of plotholes is present today in one piece. But i cant the man, one piece is 20+ years old im surprised oda isnt burned out or out of ideas
I’m glad he hasn’t
And Shanks is related to... I laughed so hard and I apologise... 😂😂😂

It’s just bad writing bro
@@senseiroshi2338 Oh it's 100% bad writing.
But it's that kind of "twist" that Oda specialises in. Keeping key information from the audience for no reason other than to give himself wriggle room down the line.
It's like J.J Abrams "mystery box" writing, Oda keeps things vague and unexplained purely so he can bullshit an answer later.
I'm still calling Carrot is a secret Princess because Oda is uncreative like that.
What were you expecting to feel from Momo. Dude saved Wano and lead a rebellion with Luffy at age 8 lol…
I agree one piece has too much plot conveniences! Everyone is related to royalty or someone powerful or is friends with someone powerful. I mean come on this is starting to feel like bs!
So basically u have no issues with one piece, I find it frustrating that over 1000 episodes later, we still have wayyy more questions that answers
and more characters should die, and not everyone needs to be blood line related… but I get why oda did it that way
@senseiroshi2338 it's an issue not inky with one piece but something that destroyed naruto too, why can't they just have an ordinary guy who worked hard against the odds , nope, it has to be some legends kid, the no death thing is really killing one piece,a pirate movie, it's like they have dragon balls too, they'll be back, it kills the tension
I sometimes think to myself how some of the most interesting stories were thought out; bro one piece is that thought process in the making but still lacks the refine element. It's predictable because it's repetitive it might be cool but that's the problem with the fandom of any media they don't allow feedback as if the product in question is perfect.
2:50 u have a point there...i think nami may also be related to someone special.....or perhaps we may not find out about her parents
I really doubt that and I don’t know where people are coming up with that theory.
7:18 somethings we know about the arc but i am damn sure you couldn't had predicted the traitor being kanjuro and that's the thing i like bout one piece ik what's gonna happen but the way its gonna happen is truly amazing and unpredictable
Lol. Funny enough shanks turns out to be a celestial dragon 😂😂
Lol how do you know
or could related to Rocks D Xebec
@@senseiroshi2338 check all the facts and it's the only possible outcome. Being related to xebec would mean he is a D family member and the things he has done are more suited to a celestial dragon.
1)Meeting the gorosei like doflamingo. Would not be possible if he was a D member and also a pirate
2)Stopping marineford war with sengoku saying because it is you shanks.
3)And in film red the gorosei speculate whether uta is from the figarland family (celestial dragons) because of her ties with shanks

One piece is an amazing show. My biggest gripe is at too many fights are offscreen. Your favorite side characters take too long to do anything like Garp. And I got to keep it a buck as dope as Sabo is that was the most disrespectful ass pull I’ve ever seen in a show forget about a corner of a cup and memory loss and if that’s OK then Kaguya makes perfect sense since she had a clan named after her but even Naruto being number one I truly hated it (kaguya) but when I watch anime, I eliminate bias and there’s obviously a reason he’s in the pictures with Goku and Naruto his fight at Ennies lobby and picking up kinemon made me put some respect on this fucking name. At the end, what matters is what pushes these kids in life.
