Today we play on an Official nearly full pop server continuing our last episode of "How to Have a Perfect Start" and showing all of you fine folks how to have a perfect Mid Game.
In this episode we will talk about the essentials of an inland adventure, what you as a player may set out to make a goal and also we'll be running into a friend to show you how a natural interaction in DAYZ can go.

Cam's really great at teaching! What a lucky run you had in running into him and being able to learn from a pro! You should check all his video's out. Check him out on the "Lights Out DayZ Event" to see how good he is with a bunch of other pro's. A guy named "Wasted" has the whole event covered because I don't believe Cam has in on RUclips? You can always check his Twitch channel out too.
Funny thing is I had watched one of his videos before I started playing day z and implemented some of the techniques from it, his voice sounded familiar but I didn’t put 2 and 2 together, pretty cool and crazy odds of that happening

They took me in and helped me get geared, friended them on xbox and we still play together sometimes, meeting people and having an adventure like this is what the game is all about for me.
Hey Cam you've helped me a lot when I started dayz. Considering I started right around when you released your first "Perfect Start" video you were one of the first people I went to on my journey. I had quite a bit of fun on my 2nd trip to NWAF where I met a friendly high-gear duo after we shot at each other and realized we were only paranoid, looted out some buildings, and ultimately ended up getting sniped from a building! I may not have ended up having fun or getting that far without you, Thank you.
What a great video! So many useful little tips too! I think even after you may finish making these walkthroughs you should just continue with these long format, minimal cut videos. Watching the process is so important. Keep up the great work and thank you again!!!

I just started playing this game and found your vids which are quite helpful. Thank you for that. I have only been on a low pop server now and haven't seen any others yet. Didn't even spend any time on the coast....just ran right in to see what was what. Enjoying these videos man! It's tough when you're mainly a purist (DayOne KarmaKrew etc) but your friends want modded servers due to taking too long to find it each other, loot way too scarce, etc.

Also, could you make a vid where you show how to survive easier? I mean like I feel like I'm walking from to town to town just looking for water and food and by the time I find something and go to the next area I need to eat and drink again so that's all I do looking for food and water. I would like to stock up on food and water to get myself into a more comfortable position if you know what I mean. It looks easy when you do it because you are so fast and know exactly what you do and plan ahead. That's my problem right now. Thanks!

12:00 Beginner tip: Use rags to craft handwraps before cutting an animal. So you dont have to run to well ( = pvp hotspost) after firing a gun. You also carry empty bottle in your bag which you could have filled up before...

Just get a marlin backpack, the 60ish slot one, comes in loads of colors. I farm them at Cherno containers :P

That was really interesting to watch bro. And it's a bummer that the signs, the map and everything is in russian. As a Russian myself I didn't even know that they are not translated in the English version of the game. By the way, if you search you will find those places somewhere in Russia. Like Zelenogorsk is a small village-like city close to my city of birth. As well as Solnechnoe etc. That's really funny how you're trying to read those signs in English 😂

what servers do you reccomend. completely vanilla? are there 1.5x servers you know of that are decent or any medium pop servers?

When there is a bear or wolf spawn location how likely is it to spawn no animlas and its save ?
Tree covers ok but if they are at range and on my console it takes a minute for some things to render so they might still see ya at a distance

Make your fires in a shed to conceal alot of smoke.
@CamCANTRUN re: @49:29 and clear compasses, all you need to remember is: Never Eat Shredded Wheat (UK) OR Naughty Elephants Squirt Water (plus the red line points north) ;)
I actually prefer the colourless compass as it saves you having to open it
I think that's what I'll do once I find the right server.. is build a stash. I'm always running into nails, shovels, and usually carry a hatchet. Or axe.

What happend
yah....getting a plate carrier or stab vest AND a good helmet is critical. I ignored this aspect of the game for several years and I was dying every few weeks.......ever since I started prioritizing armor, I rarely ever die.....I'll put myself in high risk situations now because I kind of want to die. I'll still put up a fight of course, but having armor really increases your chances of survival. It's not even just to protect against other players. There are a lot of areas of the map that if you really can't traverse unless you have decent armor because the bears or wolves will one hit you if you don't have a helmet.

I'm a fairly new player (a little over 20 hours). I really enjoy these videos! One mistake I made on my current life. I found food, water and a weapon with some ammo. One thing I didn't have much of is bandages. I went inland too soon. I got 3 bleeds from some military zombies and had to bandage with dirty rags. Now I'm stuck inland with blood poisoning and have to backtrack to the coast to look for bandages or medicine. I thought I was ready to go inland but I wasn't.
Find a hospital or the yellow tents for medical supplies. They are all over the map and usually in most towns inland. Remember you can always jump on things if you need to. The infected can't hit you while on top of things.
@@chukk_chukkInfected can’t get you, but players can. Climbing on top of stuff makes you a very noticeable and easy to hit target for others to pick off
@@chukk_chukk Yeah, it was a weird situation. I was flanking around the tents and there was a screamer officer in the woods and I didn't even see him until he aggroed. Nowhere to go. I had like five of them on me in seconds. I tried to run, but you know. I did manage to kill them but was bleeding bad and used my bandages. When I log back in, there shouldn't be too many there, but there is no medical tent there. It was a checkpoint. What bummed me out is that for a total noob like me, I was having a pretty good run. Maybe I can come back.
Halfway through the video and do not yet know how it ends, but really enjoyed your interactions with that other player. You sure engendered a lot of trust with that fellow, enough for him to allow you to peer into his inventory.

Medical buildings are usually blue in cities. Always take tetracycline pills and vitamin pills, these can help you get rid of many diseases if you get one.

But no way would have my food and drink levels stayed that white on ps5. Literally goes red, especially the water, very quickly . Any tips?
The settings are the exact same from PC to Console on the official servers.
I think the main reason new players get red food and water, is ya'll spend a lot of time thinking and learning where as experienced players are going going going.... just takes time and practice. ;)
Anything that gets buried will only last 14 days where just a crate, barrel, sea chest or plastic case will last 45 days just on the ground. I only stash bags since they last 8hr.

Just some things you were incorrect or unclear on. I feel like as a mid game video you should be directing people to hunting spawns and military as well as telling them what those areas give you. The misdirection in loot tiers will confuse players as well, saying they don’t matter when plate carriers spawn in tier 3 zones and up while you’re searching a tier 2 zone for them. Convoys are very important for loot as well as chopper crashes. You also can’t cut through locks with saws. Mostly good info and a fun video just wanted to help. 🙂
The hardest thing for me in this game is finding food. I only die of starvation.
