So funny you say that I started with 15 inch stock rallies sold them went up to 20s sold them bought some 22 inch forgiatos sold them just bought some 15 inch cragers lmao with white letter and a lot of tires lmao went in a big circle lmao
20s with run flats really do make the cars feel like they're on rails though, really tightens up the handling. May not be ideal aesthetically but they have their place outside of looks for sure.

Good thing is with money your dream can come true. Figure out a price point and go after it. Shipping will be a couple a grand by boat. But because your closer to Dubai you could pick up something nice from there. That was already shipped that way.

Do it! I did, got a 71 Nova SS. Used a company in the UK called ship my car. You can get a quote really easily.
I would rather have 4-500 controllable horsepower than 800 uncontrollable any day. Awesome build!

Hear lottsa folks saying the 69 Camaro was the best looking care ever built in that era, but these 69-70 Chevelles were right there. Beautiful lines, and badass looks. Love em.

@@all4speed I'm a supercharger guy myself. That whine is intoxicating. Many years ago I drove a buddy's 23T bucket with a blown 428CJ. Super squirrelly. Could barely touch the throttle but I was hooked on the sound.

I loved keeping the originality where it made sense. I didn’t want to lose the cool stuff that makes it classic. I was always so excited to get those in.

@@patricksellhorn6518 The shoulder belts are a factory option in chevelles. Mine were restored by a guy in NJ or NY. Now you can buy them I think through places like OPGI.

That Chevelle is just perfect! The sound, the rake, and especially the look of the front end with the wheels turned. There's something about that negative camber, combined with the lip spoiler that makes it look really good. Though it's hard to go wrong, with a 2nd gen Chevelle anyway. I love it!

It's amazing the talent some of these people have to build awesome cars that you review. I never miss an episode. 30 years ago my 69 SS 396 wasn't pretty but I've been told as I spank somebody on the street that the front wheels come off the ground. It was purpose-built. Now I drive a damn Sentra.

@@all4speed Your dads probably my age, the pics of his cars is what was in our HS parking lot. Those mufflers are KILLER! Sounds like a 396 with turbos n turndowns just lots louder. That snarl on decel is the chit!

Babysitter in the 70s drove a 69 SS 396 her boyfriend at Church had a wicked 68 SS. Both dailys

He said "they're only 17's" like that was a bad thing, but I think they look awesome!! Hats off to this guy! 👍 And he has fun with the car. That's kind of the point, isn't it? 😁
thats right! yea i meant it more as people are surprised because they look good and most people think they need 18+.
@@all4speed Considering the cars originally came with 14's, I think if you go too big you kinda ruin their classic appearance. I think 17's are the perfect compromise between classic looks and being able to put a decent amount of tire under the car. Wouldn't change a thing.
I think the slightly raised rear stance looks tuff. I appreciate how he got this, his first car ever. I worked and got my first car when i was not old enough to drive also. Wish i had been smart enough to keep it. Kept it 10 years and sold it when i was about 25. Very nice car.

Perfect amount of reliable power...plenty of torque. The dyno queens almost always are short lived before they pop.
This ls swap is well done...got the old school sound, very clean underhood, took his time and properly built the engine

Thanks Johnny! Yea i knew i wanted a chevelle. but definitely went through a few phases during building before landing on the LS platform. Full stock 350 restoration idea, then 454 tunnel ram dual carb idea, then 396ss close idea, to finally the LS package. Glad I went this route though, its been fun!
kudos to daniel for his build......lovvvvvvvveeee the driveshaft paint scheme......and love the color choice of the car...you dont see that color ....very unique!

This car is just absolutely beautiful hope I can get my 71 even close to this clean.
Chevelle is a chevelle always like a little demons 👍. My grandma when young she buy the fabric new 69 chevelle automatic and not power steering in gold with vinyl top . When I grow up I falling love of that car , now the chevelle is not more in the family but I thinking buy one for me and remember the old times.
Definitely buy one! The memories are one of the best parts.
