I had an uncle like that. Bought himself an 800 horsepower drag 69 Chevelle for his 40th birthday. Drove it on the street. It was crazy. Not sure of the exact stall speed, but had to be 5,000-6,000 rpm. Wheel stands at every stop light and stop sign. 😊
Lucky is absolutely nuts in a good way. How does he still have a driver's license? Does he still have one? It doesn't matter. He's a blast to watch. His cars are great.
@@luckysgarageshow- They don’t call you “Lucky” for nothing right? BTW, Alex is ok but I really miss the shows with you and Tony. You guys clicked so well.
@@luckysgarageshow Love your car, 67 'El here. Stock rear wheelwells? What clutch/slave system are you using? Did a T56 (95 TA) in 99 when there were no parts. FIrewall flexes some with my bracket geometry not perfect drives me nuts. Car is frigging amazing dude.
This is a testament to an owner who worked on his car, quality control tests his work, and is now one with the vehicle. That car and owner together are Dialed! Awesome episode!
I’m with you Sean, the deeper I go into this world the more I love the purpose built drivers that aren’t over the top. I love a show car but a badass driver gets just as much respect from me
There is just something really special about a vehicle that’s built to absolutely rip but still looks a little rough around the edges. Call me crazy but I prefer these types of builds over the new shiny paint builds that everyone is afraid to really drive. Good stuff!
Mine looked similar to his for many yrs. Charcoal grey primer blacked out hood loved it. Had I known I could get flat clear over it Id never have painted it Dont let it keep me from driving it!
Built mine to show and rip hard like Lucky is. Afraid to drive is just paranoia. Trailering a car everywhere is insane much higher chances of a wreck .
This is why car guys will forever be car guys.. A car built to be driven and make many smiles come to your face ❤😊 More fun was had in this episode than should be legally allowed. Prayers 🙏🏼 to the car gods.
66 Chevelle is a top 5 car for me! It has that pissed off looking grill, and enough room for any engine combination. Lucky is the best. Knowledgeable and entertaining! Love it!
There is something about that car lucky. I've been watching it for years and it just says badass. I don't know what it is but you in that car are the two coolest things on the road
I absolutely love the way the owner rips on his car. I would love to see an episode of the Chevelle owner and the GT350 owner ripping through the mountains. 😎
I love the car as a matter of fact the 66 or 67 is my dream car I'd just like to make those numbers with a conventional V8 with the boost but big respect sir such an awesome badass build!
You know I am here for any CHevelle...this one is off the charts cool. Lucky is hilarious, need him on the show more. The guy asking if its a Nova had me on the floor...all of us Chevelle guys hear that all the time. Also love that this isnt one of those 200k builds.
DDDAAAMMMNNN!!! Thank you for this video guys. This car is bad thank you. I know exactly where you guys are filming. I won’t say I almost did, but I had to delete it out. I better not say where you guys are filming the city and I do know where the garage is at Lucky’s garagebut I want to say thank you. I see him at some of the different car meet ups and he always bring something crazy but I definitely like his trucks that he put together. Well, thank you for another bad ass video and watching you over here on the big island of Hawaii.
The Lucky intro was borderline attempted homicide. 🤣 I learned something today about the difference using E85 and maintaining engine temps. Thanks, Shawn & Lucky.
watched the intro 3 times before I watched the whole episode! my favourite episode from your channel. That car is so awesome! Apparently Tony Angelo is not the only one who know how to get down!
I’m always intrigued to hear from Lucky and man can he drive! No lie this is one of my favorite cars on here. Like Sean said, seems to be setup nicely and you can drive the piss out of it! 💪
Lucky is definitely just that 100% LUCKY to own that 66' Chevelle. It's right up there with the Chevy II Nova of the same year as my favorite Chevys I'd love to own.
My favorite Hot Rod reviewer, reviewing one of my favorite Hot Rodder's. You know I was in for this one. As always, thank you Autotopia LA crew for great production and Sean for the great content. Thanks man.
This car and the teal appeal foxbody sbf 440 build are my two favorite builda on Autotopia LA. Both owners didn't even wanted the cars and still built badass cars that are daily driven and beat on consistently.
The mad man is back! Odds are he has "All tires must die" tattoo'd on the inside of his eyelids...no? 😆 What a shocker that it's a frigging insane build again? Well played Lucky well played sir!
Thanks for anther video of a car that has a build that is actually attainable by us regular people. Loved this video, Lucky is a great guy and its so nice to see cars that I can afford to build that are just totally freaking awsome.
I just saw the reel on facebook and had to come here to check this out. Ya gotta love Lucky. Great on TV , and he really knows his stuff! His car here is so awesome. Great video, awesome guest 🤘😉
Lucky is like that cool uncle your Mom won’t let you hang out with .

Edit to above. My dad and uncle both raced dirt track back in the 60's and 70's.
Lol, the few times I get to drive my nephew, first & last thing I say is "don't tell your mom how I drive". Turbo Honda and turbo GMC.
@@hydrocarbon82 yup the cool uncles rule !
He’s so badass
The year, the stance, the patina, the modern mill... totally sick💯

the tire shop is going to love this car!
Oh yeah
The guy is an artist! That Chevelle is just right! Rough, ready and rowdy.

Your video production is admirable. I can get a visceral understanding of the prodigious torque of this car, based on camera angles. World class!
Lucky is the true street monster, he builds and drives them like it should be driven.
Lucky Costa is the man - drive hes cars as they are ment be.
This guy is cool to the core, what a car.🤙
The opening of the video was sweet with the burn out then the Autotopia emblem.
Love the fact that Lucky just BEATS THE TAR OUT OF IT!!! Love IT!!!
In 81 my dad bought a 66 for $625 and put a built 454 in it..that's what gave me this disease
Mine had a 67.

Awesome ride! '66 has always been my favorite Chevelle
It's Lucky being Lucky. The coolest guy at a car show, and always willing to talk to anyone.

I like it solid Love that complete Nostalgia nothing can bring back memories like guiding a missile and being near death
He was a couple cars behind me leaving an event in Pomona a few years ago. He drove like that on the freeway that day also. So cool.
I think he ALWAYS drives like this.
Shawn, you're a bold man to trust other people behind the wheel! Much respect 😂
Lucky is a cool guy with a super cool car, and he is lucky to own such a bad ass Chevelle 😮.
Wouldnt say lucky, just works hard
I like imagining be able to walk away with one of the cars on your show and which one I'd choose; it might well be this! Its just so bad ass.

Lucky….always has cool cars, and he gives free education/knowledge. My favorite vehicle was the C-10. Hopefully I’ll build one, one of these days.
I’m about this guys ages and this is exactly how I used to drive. I’m building something now that should bring those days back.
