Did you paint the sugru around the passenger airbag indicator? If so, how? I'm not familiar with Sugru. Also, did Fifield glass in the lightning cable?
So I'm buying the parts now and already contacted Fifield. Do you have a list of the parts I would need to simply get this to work with the Limited? I am trying to get a Pioneer x390bt as my single din behind the Ipad but not changing speakers/amp and I know you added some parts (DAC, Metra kit, steering wheel controls, etc) in another video. Everything I have currently is factory. Just wondering if all that is necessary as I have no experience with car audio installs.
Yes in order for it to work you will need the PAC RP4.2-HY11 and the PAC RPA-SPDIF. This video has more info on this: ruclips.net/video/9WzxgyUuho8/видео.html
Scott, I bought a Pioneer MVH-S501BS media player and I don't think I can get this to fit in Jamie's mount. Which one did you get and how wide is it? Did you have to disassemble it to get it in?
The measurement of a standard DIN slot is 2-1/8” (50mm) height by 7-1/8” (180mm) width, so although my unit is longer due to the CD player, your unit is the same width and since so it should mount just fine. You just need to drill holes into the sides of the mount that line up with the screw holes on the head unit. Refer to this video which shows how I installed it: ruclips.net/video/IFLe0P0-NXs/видео.html
i did the same thing as Scott. In the middle of installing it now. The iPad mount was $100 and the Fabrication of the dash kit I purchased to his mount was $550. It was another $50 to get single din cutout/mount. Then $70 to ship it back. So $770 to Fifield, another $100 for the Sonata dash kit (eBay), $150 for the SPDIF and Harnesses, $100 for Pioneer single din media player, $400 for an iPad Pro 9.7. Total cost of project so far = $1520
Jamie is dope and very helpful I’ve purchased 2 kits from him
Hey Scott, you did a great job with this project. what was the total cost for this project?
Where i can buy this kit ready to install i can pay for that
Now can i do this same kit setup on my GLS standard 2012 sonata? As long as I do everything you did right?
It should fit the same way.
Hey can you share the link to the actual kit that you bought?

first off and foremost that looks sick! if you don't mind me asking how much did he charge you for the fabrication? i have a sonata as well

The Surgru comes in different colors, I already had some in black, so no need to paint it. And yes Fiefield did the lighting cable in the kit.
