WHAT UP DUDES?!?!!?🙌🙌🙌 View time stamps and material list in the video description. Let me know what you guys think of the new how to video! See you all again soon!!
You need to use Epoxy Clay that will replace all the steps you are doing as you can sand and build out everything and no need for the plastic or bondo !
First I want to say I am the owner of this dash panel and couldn’t be FREAKIN MORE STOKED OF THE JOB DOUG DID! Watching this video of my iPad dash being built was awesome. Doug your attention to detail and time and care you put into these iPads dash mods speak for themselves in the finished product. You would almost think he was building the dash for himself or a member of his family with the level of care he puts forth. I have had the dash for about a month now and absolutely ❤ it!!! I have had so many compliments on it with some people actually believing it was a factory add on because of Dougs superior craftsmanship. All I can say to any of you reading this if you are on the fence getting Doug to mod your dash dont wait a second more, it is super worth every penny!!!! I want to think Doug for taking the time to make this video and including my dash, like I said before it was amazing watching my dash built and the care Doug puts into these mods. Also I want to think Kelly, Doug’s wife, for answering every one of my emails and keeping me up to date on the progress of my dash mod. One other quick thing I wish I could put up a pic of the box that my dash was shipped back in. You would have thought that they were shipping the most rare artifact in the world with the amount of padding that Doug shipped my dash back to me in. Honestly I believe it could have fell off the UPS truck got ran over and still been in perfect shape it was shipped so protected, LOL!! THANX AGAIN DOUG!!!! ONE BEYOND HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE!!!!
Commenting for the algorithm and to say it must have been super hard for Doug to spend the entire video being so professional. I know he wanted some jokes thrown in but he bit his tongue.
It's always really impressive to see your finished products in your Shorts but to see the process broken down is even cooler. I've been watching your channel ever since you were in the first shop. Always dig the content. Keep it up, Doug. ✌🏼
Dammm , shit is crazy the amount of work that is needed to reach your level . Don’t think people really realize the love that goes into it . Good shit bro.. keep it up
Love the new format! I love how your never static, even if you take some time before your next video it’s usually because your switching things up in your process to see what works best. Keep it up Dougie! I’ve watched your videos for years and will continue to because your content is always evolving!
Who would've thought I'd one day be using you as an educational resource? 😂 Not me a couple years ago. Good stuff giving inspiration for how to takle intalling a 2 din in my nissan 720
I hope you're charging $10k+ to do these, brother. I can't imagine the amount of time you're putting in for each one. I wash the exterior of houses with bleach and a hose at $200-$500hr (depending on the customer) and literally ANYONE can do it. You're skills are literally up with the best in the world, so hope you're charging right. All the best, brother. 10/10 work.
Dude I've learned so much from you and the whole gang shit, since 7 yrs ago at the shop that got turned into an autozo and to watch the whole journey. This was the best video yet. 👍the dash mod came out sick as always 🤘rock on dude
That turned out really nice! I was skeptical in the beginning and was thinking, “why not just get a smaller ipad?” Because of how it covered the vents but you definitely made that look like it belongs there. Good work, Mr. Soundman. 👏
That was the best damn episode of Soundman I’ve seen in years. And don’t take it wrong I’m a huge fan. You’re very funny. I just really enjoyed learning these steps. Thank you!!
Absolutely INCREDIBLE job! I greatly appreciate how you take ZERO shortcuts and make sure this job isn't done until everything is PERFECT! Instantly subscribed after watching this! Thanks for creating and posting!
A kit that you could use to improve the strength of the bond is one of the hot plastic weld kits that utilize the little wires that get melted into the material. Just a thought for added strength and improved bonding for longevity.
Damn that's some good work. Love the breakdown and watching you go through the process of doing one of these custom dash mods. Came out clean bro looking forward to seeing more!!
Your attention to detail is amazing. I wasn’t expecting it to look as factory as it did when you finished. I can’t imagine how much this cost and the amount of labor hours put in.
Looks awesome! I just have a question regarding the single din. How is the HU going to be mounted? It would have to be mounted behind the dash bezel in order to clear the iPad?
Can you do this to a 2015 Honda Pilot with the factory navigation system and the 10 speakers? I am told no one makes a dash kit for my car, and I would need a custom build
Always curious if you check images / consult customer what's above below before choosing placement of the dock to prevent blocking AC or other car controls
Good, appreciate, but just pay attention on ventilation for iPad by making some small holes in mold, hope it will help iPad to keep cool during heavy usage and charging

This is industry. Can't stand the poser Amazon salesmen

Great walk thru!
All we needed was the added sound effects on the finished product!!

I will have to make a pic of it, but its crazy he used that much padding
How did the hole Doug cut match with the factory radio?
Do you have socials with finished pics of it? I have a 2019 also and want this done so bad!
Does the ipad have reverse camera?
How much did he charge you?

Now that is a soundman video of old times. HELL YEA BROTHER!!
Artistry come in many forms and dash modification is one of them - great work.

We got serious Dougie here in this one. Master of his craft at work.
Worried when I first started watching video. Giving away all your secrets? But guaranteed no one‘s gonna come close to your skill and technic. A++
Who would've thought I'd one day be using you as an educational resource? 😂 Not me a couple years ago. Good stuff giving inspiration for how to takle intalling a 2 din in my nissan 720
Great tutorial, I really enjoyed seeing you work the kit and telling us how to problem solve issues that come up

I love watching you close large gaps.
Damn dude, that looks amazing. I appreciate your level of attention to detail. You the man Doug.👍
Ive been waiting for a in depth vid on dash mods..go ahead Sensei!..eyes wide open👀
Exceptional work, Professor Soundman. You really churched it up, too.
Honestly, I like any video you do so any notification from Soundman is a good day!
I love this. It's the first time seeing you serious and breaking down your craft. I truly enjoyed it. Thanks for the education.
I hope to one day get my whole car stereo system done by you. I trust and believe in the SoundMan way🔥
You will learn my young padewan….you will learn…And you’ll miss your car for about a year!!!😂😂😂
That turned out really nice! I was skeptical in the beginning and was thinking, “why not just get a smaller ipad?” Because of how it covered the vents but you definitely made that look like it belongs there. Good work, Mr. Soundman. 👏
I was thinking the same thing. But it looked awesome and professional.

Are you even participating in the bass van build off?
Great work as usual Doug, just a slight hint of the old Soundman in there🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺
The Bob Ross of auto body work. That’s a lot of work.

It matters what you do Doug! Master indeed.
dude your a master at that and hope you and your family are well God Bless

Wow it was conducted very professionally :P Happy to hear a few, "Oooooh" moments. :)
I watch ALL your videos for two reasons, fabrication wisdom and you're funny AF.....guess what this video was missing? I want more vids BRO!!!
OH MAN! I can’t wait to have my Sound man I pad kit installed into my truck. MAYBE THEN my milk shake, will bring the boys to the yard. ❤
Try using an oscillating tool, you’ll be able to do those sweet plunge cuts.
Stunning workmanship, and superb end result. I love the way you present these guides.
This is an amazing video! Thank you for the in depth look at the incredible work that you do!
I've followed you since the beginning and you have always done a damn good job !!!
So SICK! Amazing attention to detail! Looks OEM
Awesome work Douglas! I must admit it is tough hearing you say STRENGTH like a normal person. I prefer the jackassary 😂 Great video pal!

Nice work! It looks freaking amazing...but...it doesn't matter what you did Doug!
Don't you have a Rafa for this? Also, this seems like a good way to ignite the fumes!
Super skilled af! Amazing outcome. Id love 1 for my Lexus GX470 haha
Damn that's some good work. Love the breakdown and watching you go through the process of doing one of these custom dash mods. Came out clean bro looking forward to seeing more!!

Looks great! So much work but the end result is worth it.
G rated Doug. Top notch work.
Awesome video. Kind of miss the fab kitchen jokes though not gonna lie.😂😂😂

Great how to video Doug.
Shit looks great 👍. Always enjoy watching the work. Been here for years keep it up
Always curious if you check images / consult customer what's above below before choosing placement of the dock to prevent blocking AC or other car controls
Doug looked a picture up online, showing the complete Toyota dash. He knew what was “above below before choosing placement”.
Now would this work having the tech deck and the 2tpam mounts that sit above the radio?
Great job e the only thing I don’t agree with is you need to sand the fiberglass before you put body filler on. I guess what works for you
Good, appreciate, but just pay attention on ventilation for iPad by making some small holes in mold, hope it will help iPad to keep cool during heavy usage and charging
So what happens when the din hole you cut doesn't line up with the actual radio???
Wow. Leave it to the Pro! 👏
Awesome as always!!
You are an incredible dude!!
i would totally be on board with this if it could some how retain back up camera
BTS Level: unparalleled.
(Better Than Stock)
Nice work shits clean af but we need more bass van vlogs
Dude you know WTF you're doing. Looks great. Love to see a follow up with pics or video of it installed.
One question what about the reverse camera will it work when reversing?
