@@blcritic All three of the leads are really attractive, but for the characters they're portraying, and the storyline setting, it's not just based on how "hot" they may look together as a couple.
Combining time travel or alternate universe with romance for a "love out of time / out of place" effect is a hallowed sub-genre of both romance and sci-fi/fantasy. This teaser did its job in whetting the appetite for this iteration with compelling visuals and creating a wistful mood via the music and editing. A sense of loss, of longing, and of transience hung over the teaser. A bittersweet tale lies ahead--that is my takeaway.
The Koreans have ventured into the BL time vortex already. *Tinted With You* (not bad, not great) and *Once Again* (rather more successfully) both replicate the formula "present day person travels into the past to find his soulmmate." Arguably, *First Love Again* (good, not great) fits the category also, though here the formula uses reincarnation to bring souls from the past together in the present. All three are shorter (typical K-BL episode numbers and run time), and all three stream on Viki.
@@johnmaster3748 I watched all three of those. Tinted With You needed another 5-6 episodes to really dive deeply into the characters and the time period. It could have been really good. Superman actor Christopher Reeve playing the other lead surely was part of the draw for my 12 year-old self, but the time travel aspect of the story appealed as well. Way better production value and rural backdrop. Came across another trailer of Step by step. Will see that series. Something new. Regular looking guys without obvious makeup or colored hair. I wanna watch more and I like sepia tone too.. it gives us a different feeling. I just didn't want it on I Feel you Linger in the Air as it makes things a bit less colorful. Sorry guys did not know where to post this. Kit Conner "I'm bi, congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. I think you missed the point of the show. Elijah from Game Boys, " I am not going to do anymore gay roles, maybe another season of Game Boys but I think those roles should go to real gay people." So he is not gay or bi, all that stuff between him and Kokoy was them doing fan service, him saying Kokoy was his celebrate crush was queerbaiting. When an actor in a bl role says I do not like labels, love is love that is a big hint but later after they get the fame lables are ok when they want a non bl career. Nanon " my real friends know I am straight". So everything he did in Safe House and during and after Bad Buddy was just fan service, queerbaiting, method acting???. So more than friends means you can kiss your best friend on the mouth, hang all over him, say how much you love each other, sleep in the same bed (and do what ever) but you are not gay or even bi just more than friends. War, who has said in the past he is bi, when asked if he was LGBTQ+ went on a rant about why can't everything be normal.
