    Hell yea! Just bought my Quad this month and have used 3 patches. Brit 2203, Rolls Jazz CH120 and the life changing EV101IIIRed. I been searching for the sound I had a decade ago with the 2X12 5150 Combo. Regrettably I had to sell that gear. Fast forward to last month on the fence about QC, then randomly decided to go buy it. Once I heard the EVH Red patch - it ended. It is perfect. My unicorn search has ended. lol Haven't touched a setting. Haven't felt I wanted to. And still EASILY worth every dollar. Just for those 3 patches. It's wiiiild. Changed my life QC has done with this. Beautifully done.
    Keep up the QC videos. Cheers.
    Thought I'd suggest what I''m using for an amp. Yorkville 100W Powerwedge. Super affordable and doesn't color the sound at all. It's very nice.

    Hey Gary , thanks again for all you help. I have question. I really want to use the QC out live tonight. sometimes I switch to an acoustic guitar (Piezo only) nice guitar.. anywho, I chose a stock preset that I really like but im getting some bad hummm. I've done the correct trouble shooting, still a hum. what would you suggest I maybe change in the preset? thanks , Teddy

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      I very much appreciate you man! 🙏🏻
      I guess I would start out by determining if you have a noise gate active on the acoustic preset? The open mics on some acoustic setups are quite sensitive, and provide a level boost naturally.
      If that doesn't work, you may also consider dropping the input level on the preset. My acoustics have active pre-amps, so I generally turn them down to about 1/3 volume, which is usually about my average level for electrics, as well.
      Give a shout if this doesn't help/work and happy to continue troubleshooting.

I just got my QC. been watching your vids. any suggestion on an amp to use first for my acoustic. once again, this is a high end Maton acoustic guitar. I only use the piezo on the guitar.

    Look in the owners manual for finding out what amp is named on the qc, its a free download from neural, just go to the website. Look in the devices section, toward the end of the manual, and it tells you exactly what everything is modeled after in detail.

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  5 месяцев назад

      This is true. There have been a few times that the manual has failed to specify the exact real-world models due to strict copyrights though.
      That's why some folks have resorted to tracking out of band guides.

    what type of speaker should I plug it into to sound good?

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  Месяц назад

      If you are looking to use a speaker, and not play through a poweramp/cabinet, I would suggest an FRFR. speaker. Fender makes a fantastic series of FR speakers that sound great!

    informative video! btw is there any way to play music through the QC from my macbook to play along side my guitar? ive got my usb port connected between the devices and ensured my macbook outputs to the quad cortex. however, no music is playing out from my studio monitors.

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you!
      If you plug your quad cortex into the USB of your Mac, you should be able to send music via DAW (logic/GarageBand,etc) through one of the 4 USB inputs.
      Then you would be able to hear the music through that USB input lane of the device. You may need to configure a grid lane with the USB you are sending from the mac to the output you wish to hear on the QC.
      Let me know if this works for you. If not, I can capture my specific settings and send them your way. Also, take a look at the audio interface software blackhole. It gives you much better control over input and output of audio signals on your Mac.

  • @Donfleebie1
    @Donfleebie1 Месяц назад

    I have a question. Can you link an output to the volume wheel on the unit. On my Helix, I link the volume to my 1/4 out to my FRFR so when I need more guitar in my ear onstage, I don’t affect the FOH XLR outs?

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  Месяц назад +1

      You can assign the master volume knob to overall output across all outputs (unity at 100%), or assign it to any individual output, including headphones. It can't impact external outputs, but if your FRFR is connected to a specific QC output, then yes, your scenario should work just fine.

    • @Donfleebie1
      @Donfleebie1 Месяц назад

      @ Thanks. I’m considering selling my Kemper Rack and Remote, and the Helix, to get the QC, with the Temple board, pedal, and power supply, with the custom end jacks.

    There are a lot of introductions to topics in this video without very much explanation. I wish it were more useful, but it kinda feels like one really long clickbait.

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  3 месяца назад +1

      I am sorry you feel that way, as it wasn't my intention to make this seem like click bait. My exact intentions were just what you outlined. Introduce many topics and describe enough about them to get you started.
      More of the content on the quad cortex playlist starts to expand on these areas, with more videos still in the works.

    That’s not good. If I lose connection or power during updates or reset factory , the unit is broken ? That’s garbage

    • @GaryWrightMusic
      @GaryWrightMusic  2 месяца назад +1

      I wouldn't say it's guaranteed broken, but like most electronics with firmware updates there are always risks.
