A fun fact about Rackam: The fact he has a skill that also deals damage to him comes from the browser game's ingame comic called Grand Blues! where Rackam is so unlucky that he randomly blows up in a massive explosion, with the characters yelling out "RAAAAAAAACKAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!"

Randomly got his terminus weap while farming for vane's and now ive changed mains as he is so much fun. I enjoy the normal playstyle more though compared to aerial charged style
I feel you. Been farming for 2 days. I got 6 out of my 9 characters. I got his and Narmaya’s and nothing for my main yet. Might switch out to contribute more dmg while farming. Also haven’t gotten a War Ele or Supp Dmg yet. 😢
I hope they patch it out and fix his Heat Gauge for online play, didn't realize it was bugged. As a general rule I don't like these gimmicky exploits that either circumvent or otherwise ignore the central design philosophy of a character.
Also fun fact: His JP voice actor is also the voice of Balthier, which is very fitting 😊

As a mostly casual player, Rackam is my main, and probably the most fun to play. I can stay back, have a better view of the whole battleground, and dish out the hurt where I think will help out the most.
You are the first player that shows Reckam aerial shotgun with no cheats and I solute you for that 👍

Was his aerial charge nerfed by some chance? I tried a lot of things but I do more damage with pretty much anything than aerial... not only against the training dummy. My build is not perfect but also not much worse than the one shown in this video.

Do you know if 4rd burst capped is better dps than bullseye blast 2x when at max heat, then refill with a burst, repeat? I thought I had read beb is a dps loss for a capped out character
In my experience, double tap and supplementary damage deal more damage than bullseye blast.
Double tap lasts a really long time, so if you have Cascade maxed out, you won't have it off for long.
The problem with Bullseye Blast, even if it's not bugged, is that it takes a bit of time for the projectile to reach the enemy. Because it's one charged blob, missing one is frustrating. Whereas you can easily spam the normal burst shots.
This also lets you forgo Helmsman Awakening and instead have the + version of the four-burst sigil that has a useful secondary trait if you're lucky enough to get such a sigil.

btw double tap lasts for 30 sec and it's cd is 1:30. I wonder if it's possible to get 100% uptime on double tap
speaking of helmsman awaking. I just had a troll roll on my that hurt. I got it with DMG Cap >_

the one thing that annoys me is that i can use bull's eye in multiplayer sometimes it works fine, but 99% of the time, i charge it up to V, stay like that for half an hour because i feel like it, and that sucker still only shoots off as IV.
i live in germany, so of course my internet sucks ass.
Since there’s no PVP and this game is entirely PVE without any sort of leaderboard, I don’t care that Rackam is absolutely busted OP DPS. Does it help me clear Proto Bahamut quicker to get through this RIDICULOUS Terminus weapon farm? I’ll take it.

You can literally dodge out of the way from collateral damage. I have to disagree with you and say that skill is a staple for every Rackam player
