Sacrificing a Supplementary DMG for a utility still results in a GAIN in DPS if you're reaching the new DMG Cap! Though, the gain will be smaller than if you DIDN'T need to sacrifice it. Lucilius Speedrun Guide soon, just optimizing atm :)
Gamma's wording could mean that you only get 1 Hit of damage resist that resists up to 50k damage So theoretically you could lose the shield if you take even a single damage as long as it's 1 instance of damage taken Which given the wording of Alpha if that only gives 13% gauge even though it says 30% I'm more inclined to believe that w/o a demonstration
I’d argue Supplementary is still RNG albeit more on your side as max 2 of them is at 74% chance while 2 of any of these new sigils is basically a guarantee
These sigils are not that good if your character uses cdr sigils as dps sigils, which is a lot of characters. Even when I look at straightforward characters like vaseraga.. it looks like he easily benefits from the extra dmg cap but he has a hard time reaching the cap even without these new sigils, it's almost impossible to cap his first charged atk on his xxyy combo and the next 2 charged swings needs a comical amount of dmg sigils to reach cap. Feels like these new sigils are an indirect buff to underwhelming characters who had nothing better to slot in prior to this patch.
I have the Alpha, it's realistically only very useful on Lucilius edit - this is because when you use your SBA with your AI team with full burst, even if you cast it last your team will still be at 0% SBA gauge this is because you cannot gain them when doing SBA so what you need to do is let 2/3 teammates use their SBA then you use it after their animation, then they will gain the SBA boost in Lucilius fight you can cancel *Paradise Lost* by casting 1 SBA burst, so this sigil is important so your teammates gain fast SBA for another burst Big tip btw - * you only need 2 +14 sigils if you have Terminus weapon* you cannot use Azurite when upgrading

You lose the real buff at level 30, that's why you need 2 of each (2 of 3 new sigil) But honestly, it's a lot of grind, I'm just happy to close one and i'm out (Gamma is my call)
I'm still kinda confused about the alpha sigil and it relates to a problem i have with this game. It doesn't do the best job at relaying or presenting information. Why does it say dmg cap +40% if it's only 13? Where does the 40 come from? Also people thought cascade just straight up didn't work cuz they did such a poor job explaining it. Not to mention their refusal to give us actual numbers in the patch notes to know how much things were adjusted.
Like what Brax said, 13% doesn’t refer to the damage cap but to the SBA gain to the other team members. Whenever you use a SBA, everyone else gains 10% SBA if they haven’t used it yet in a SBA chain. The Sigil effect says +30% gauge gain, and it’s +30% to the base 10%, resulting in 13% total rather than an actual flat 30% to the 10% for a total of 40%.
as Brax said you see slashes but I would like to add that those slashes are yellow and if you are hitting the weakspot of the enemy you can pretty easily see yellow slashes with circles effect that also means you are hitting damage cap (its easier to see dmg slashes when you are not going against monster that weak to your element aka. blue numbers)
once you reach endgame, you can use this calculator to see how much you're hitting the cap. Its fairly accurate from some of the damage numbers I've noticed. Damage cap is fairly noticeable from both the yellow-ish outline+slashes on the damage number and also cause they're all the same value. You gotta know your character's damage distribution as well as their caps to choose these optimally, and then the max level passive might not even fit for them. I do think gamma is the safest option if you're unsure, and it's passive is generally the best among the three with beta being the second. Especially now that we know the endgame after Bahamut favours survivability over just pure damage, that 50k shield is gonna save some asses.
Gamma raises the damage cap beyond the 250% (250+30=280) it has its OWN damage cap. So yes gamma is the best one since the damage cap it raises for ALL DAMAGE skills and normal atks and SBA and the shield is 50000hp and its not on a timer so you can have it the entire fight.
I already got my Alpha and Gamma to max level 30, and currently I have enough tears mats to buy a Beta sigil. I plan to test having all these sigils at level 30 and see if my character would go bonkers due to it. I grinded Lucilius with randoms in coop and it was fun. I main Cagliostro on pure dps build. Cagilostro. When you get to Lucilius youre more than likely getting one shot no matter what you get hit by unless it's his normal swinging. @@papabootleg2695 my problem is before this patch my djeeta and the rest of the team was already minmaxed and there is nothing to give up to fit these new ones in. so I think I pass for now
For my for example Charlotta gave very hard and almost impossible to hit lunge dmg cap making double alpha double beta kinda a waste unless you have big external buffs from allies, even having 4 dmg sigils you don't hit the cap. That's why having 1 beta, 1 alpha and 2 gamma is better, or even 2 beta instead of alpha, or better just only use 3 lucilius sigils drp alpha and keep some QoL or defensive utility. Is all about knowing your character and weigh in trade offs.
Just got 2x alpha and 2x gamma all lv14 using 32 tears. So far, I came back to my old playstyle without using utility sigils except potion hoarder haahah
Nah it's only Alpha and Gamma. Most of Charlotta skills aside from Sword of Lumiel aren't that great, she's the only character I have built. Shining Onslaught is a Gap Closer the Def Down is just an added bonus and Holy Ladder is used a ranged option. Tbh her skills are lacklustre and most of her damage comes from her Normal attacks.
@citrusquill7609 mhm, maybe, I'm just looking at how often you stay within noble stands, With her skill rotation, i honestly use her skills way much more than hitting normal attacks but im max cool down and cascade
If I used only 4, I'd be looking at 2 Gamma, 1 Alpha, 1 Beta. Gamma is better than the second alpha or beta mathematically. Personally I'm looking to test 2 Alpha, 2 Gamma and 1 Beta for the biggest damage build, I think the characters I play can meet those caps. Pragmatically though, I have two Alphas upgraded so far, and I slotted them on my AI. Not giving up defensives like 2x Nimble Onslaught and Autorevive while farming Lucilius. Maybe once I'm perfect at the fight 😂
Honestly Uplift probably works better than relying on someone else's SBA, which he may or may not even use. And if you put it on yourself and the guy saves his SBA anyway then its also useless. Cause SBA is also often used to just skip phases, people keep it for overdrive or something.
I mean… it genuinely isn’t worth the grind at the moment, the sigils are great but the opportunity cost to run them, and the grind to make them usable… sucks… like a lot… To give an example nobody in elden ring would argue the fingerprint shield is BAD, many would say it’s the best in the game, but the cost to actually RUN it, and how far you need to go to make even get it make it generally infeasible to use.

I’m just going to get two of all of them since we don’t know how they’re going to balance everything.
does djeeta dps need any of these?
the only one that seems useful for her is the ability damage one since most of damage is from abilitys but i haven’t even beat him yet so i would probably search around online for info abt that
@@papabootleg2695 my problem is before this patch my djeeta and the rest of the team was already minmaxed and there is nothing to give up to fit these new ones in. so I think I pass for now
For my for example Charlotta gave very hard and almost impossible to hit lunge dmg cap making double alpha double beta kinda a waste unless you have big external buffs from allies, even having 4 dmg sigils you don't hit the cap. That's why having 1 beta, 1 alpha and 2 gamma is better, or even 2 beta instead of alpha, or better just only use 3 lucilius sigils drp alpha and keep some QoL or defensive utility. Is all about knowing your character and weigh in trade offs.
I've farmed double alpha and double gamma to 14, in random queue its not hard.
remember to only lvl 14 your sigils on upgrading because of sigil booster :)
Just got 2x alpha and 2x gamma all lv14 using 32 tears. So far, I came back to my old playstyle without using utility sigils except potion hoarder haahah
Used a full support Djeeta and i managed to beat him with CPU team. Granted my CPU team is built up but yea it works
I'm using 2 gamma and 2 alpha on my rackam
As a charlotta main, im so thorn because all three of these sigils can work with her.
Im curious about combo cancel dodging, is that count as normal atk or skill ?
@@lemouth193 normal attack
Rosetta guide for the new sigils please. She's the only one I care to use these for
Menace running that character
@@rejxdmouse is she that bad? 😭 Should i abandon my main and just level up someone else?
@@Borderlines I mean she isn’t great by any stretch. Awesome support I guess 🤔
Maybe once I'm perfect at the fight 😂
these sigils arent worth the grind and the fact you cant use a splendor is complete bs
I'll just get 2x of all 3 anyway 😅
Honestly Uplift probably works better than relying on someone else's SBA, which he may or may not even use.
And if you put it on yourself and the guy saves his SBA anyway then its also useless. Cause SBA is also often used to just skip phases, people keep it for overdrive or something.
not to mention if the other guy doesn't generate their SBA faster than the rest, then the passive is completely useless
Wow I just did my first offline run and I only got him down to 70% before he destroyed me
People who play down the sigils are also the ones struggling to beat him. It's natural to play down the value of things you fail it.
I mean… it genuinely isn’t worth the grind at the moment, the sigils are great but the opportunity cost to run them, and the grind to make them usable… sucks… like a lot…
To give an example nobody in elden ring would argue the fingerprint shield is BAD, many would say it’s the best in the game, but the cost to actually RUN it, and how far you need to go to make even get it make it generally infeasible to use.
