Now that you mention how important and strong ranged characters are, I wonder how strong will Tweyen be when she releases. She's known for inflicting several debuffs on her enemies along with AOE damage and she also has a Paralysis attached to her kit. In the browser game she's mostly known for being the only character who can reliably paralyze Proto Bahamut so the rest of the players can kill him with no issue.
I think ferry deserves to be on the list, she charges SBA extremely quickly and has insane stun damage as well, really great for the team. Cagliostro is another one that i'd personally put
In granblue, there is not much difference between ranged DPS and melee. Ranged DPS can output as much damage as a melee which is absurd. Having said that, there are fights where the downtime for the melee is absolutely stupid while the range can keep hitting.
The ceiling for the strongest melee characters is much higher to make up for loss in uptime.. Rackam's 60mil+ thing is entirely melee range and abusing a very specific move, he doesn't do nearly as much playing normally. Eugen, while very versatile, only gets crazy numbers when you can abuse his grenades with your back against a wall. Io does not have nearly as much uptime as the other true range characters but makes up for it with good burst windows. I'd say outside of Rosetta, who is literal shit, the roster is very well balanced and the only things pushing some characters well above the others under certain circumstances are a handful of bugs that will probably get addressed at some point
@@hua..yeah... nah... Charge shot Eugene still does mad damage while having that range advantage. Normal play Rackam with just lvl 15 uplift substat has insane SBA gain from 4 burst shot it ain't even funny. Spitfire, etc does high burst that he's able to do peak dps at any range. Io's weaknesses is a nonissue with how every charger character can continue a charge after dodging & figuring out a rotation plus quickcast is room temperature IQ stuff. Meanwhile Sieg needs to literally struggle with camera, soft lock on being absolute shitfest, SBA or anything that takes focus away from the fight and dodging attacks, all while contending with how his entire gimmick is perfect execution/ timing. Then we have Ghanda who has better output than sieg but has a hard time gap closing on majority of the content. High execution characters are in the shitters atm from numerics alone. We literally have to sweat it out to even contend with room temperature IQ plays with any of the 3 ranged characters it ain't even funny.
Neg, get the best Rackem, Eugen and Io against the best melee characters and not a single one will beat the ranged. At the stage range is far out damaging melee. When you’re sitting there on the ground doing nothing except running in circles the ranged have already put on a few million damage. Melee even have the down time of running or wasting a skill to get to the boss.
He does but as you just mentioned - you have to trigger it. As opposed to other characters who just flat out have the ability to skate across the arena. Sadly, there's no real comparison when other characters can either smash from range, or click a button off cooldown and auto-dash to the enemy.
Bud, you got Light cancel to heavy and Battalions of fear, choose both. The first option is a on demand easy input and the other one is the fastest skill cooldown in his kit. I barely walk out in the field, it's always charge up the butt or riot.@@Sabamonster

You mentioned Starmi, who has Ferry solo runs in faster time than Narmaya, not to mention her ridiculous SBA gauge also means she's the fastest at speedrunning Proto Baha... yet Naru is on the list and Ferry isn't? Also not convinced about the Lancelot > Katalina comment. At first it sounded like you were saying his version of glaciate is better than hers but rather you just mean he does better damage in general? I mean, well yeah. Katalina is mix of utility and dps, provided some insane buffs, but their glaciate is more or less the same.
The glaciates are the same in length and power but katalina herself requires a bit more effort to be successful over Lancelot who basically... Is SUPER simple to play well. Very simple. Katarina requires a guage management and timing on skills while ares is up (i'm aware of the perma uptime ares tech that exists btw) but lancelot is infinitely easier to play over her as it stands.
Lancelot main and I appreciate your appreciation for Glaciate. In online groups, it gives that extra 5-10 seconds of DPS spam that makes clearing proud level fights faster. 🥶

Vaseraga, lack of mobility? Try him and use dodge cancels into his second heavy combo and you’ll be zipping through the map going into your actual damage move right after that. But I’ll agree that he takes more than the 2 1/2 brain cells needed to play the other top damage ones.
I really hope they buff Siegfried. Perhaps their logic with him is that he may not do the most amount of damage, but he has some crazy good support skills. But even so, I still would love to see a buff on him, particularly because you have to work so hard for his damage.
Siegfreid is actually cracked. He doesn't need buffs as a character. When you master the animation cancel you can jump to the finisher while gap closing, and with his awakening+ plus cascade and quick CDs he deals insane dps with his 3 offensive skills. I recently acquired this build, and I learnt i was playing him wrong. He plays like a Yodarha basically, but he tanks everything.
@@nawiiwan7664 you need the standard template: Awakening+ 4 Dmg Caps, 3 Supp damages, War elemental, 1 Crit rate. The 3 free slots you try to reach +100% att increase. The magic is inside seocndaries, you need Cascade and Quick cooldown maxed out. Improved dodge, nimble onslaught to god mode for 4 seconds. For over masteries you want Crit rate, Normals Up, Skill up and Skill Dmg Cap up 20%. With this you have your skills pretty much have less than half CD, and if you abuse cancels you get them every 5 seconds
i'd like his timings to not be so tight. in a vacuum they are fine for the most part but when you're in a messy fight or have stupid camera angles like Proto Bahamut, it can be a bitch to sometimes hit those timings
Best afk combo is eugen, rackam and percival. If the content is "too hard" some proud afk. Change percy to some good healer damage reduction like Gran or Ferry for dmg reduction. And on your afk char. Place something on the block botton so u always block. And then have max regen, aegis, improved block, stout heart and auto revive. This will make ur char survive long time and you will heal arou 3-4k per tick of regen. If you play missions where you can use afk Full automatic chatacter. Have your main character Eugen, put a rubber band on the analog so he moves forward all the time or something on the W(forward key) on PC. And for the 4th character put another high dps character. All dps sigils, all dps skills too. No need for healing. Gl And let me know which ones you guys use for afk farm
Also, after you put 10 games. The game will remove the repeat botton, if you dont manually put it on repeat again whe it ask u if u wanna play again. You will be sent to town. So u cant afk 3 hours. Just 10 games.
You definitely can 3hrs your battles as long as your one AFK battle is 20mins long. The timing depends on how slow your team can clear one battle because of the 10 battles repeat cut off. There will be a pop up asking you if you wanna continue repeating after 10 battles. I AFK with my main team, Rosetta, Id, Rackam, Eugen. Sometimes I use Rosetta as main AFK character, most time is Rackam. When I wanna test out, I'll put Eugen as AFK character too and they all did well so far. I have 6 fully awakened weapons with fully geared Charakters: Eugen, percival , siegfried , yodarha , io, narmaya and although percival is doing by far the most damage with the roter Wirbel glitch ( i Do 10 Million only with that single skill) I always go back to low damage siegfried because Hes for me the most fun and satisfying gameplay of EM all.
5 = love his freeze 4 = basically player have to be good if you want that DPS. her DPS depends how good you are playing this character. 3 & 1 = I agree both guys enjoy the range + mobility. Io have safety issues while charging but not really viable for enemies that's too agile. not newbie friendly. once your in the proud difficulty with multiple boss. also 1 with turbo mode in the controller... still insane damage before even the shotgun. 2 = good to know his the one that making time link soo long, never knew. just now.
Any character is a top tier pick if you use a proper build. Try running a build with Nimble Defense (T.30) Dodge Payback (T.30) Nimble Onslaught (T.30) Untouchable (T.15) Flight over Fight (T.15) Improved Dodge (T.15) Uplift (T.45) as "Yodarha" AND using his "Hymn of the Hundred" (Nullifies 1-3 hits) skill, you'll virtually nerf "The Final Vision" quest with 8 second EASY invincibility triggers that you can AGGRESSIVELY control. Use your (%) modifiers and buffs on (DMG) accordingly and you'll even still hit damage scores in the (damage cap [235%]) ranges, not to mention have insanely fast SBA charge due to the "Nimble Onslaught & Uplift" sigil levels. Takes a while to farm the setup, but, been soloing Lucy for a two days now since this post all because of this build.
Its not just Rackam's shotgun spam that is good, but if you use Rackam with controller that has turbo mode his damage is insane without even needing to get close to the boss
@@seeker777 he probably just means turbo as in hold the button and it repeats for you, probably just better to set delay to 350 so it does bursts for you, you can set turbo and delays on steam, idk about ps
I just jump spam with Ferry, but I play Zeta, Cagliostro and Narmaya too. I obviously have a Glass Cannon Rackam for trolling people online, then getting MVP even though I was dizzy for 90% of the fight.
really hate the auto AIM, when specially on robot dinosaur, where suddenly it changed lock to it's drones and the camera angle is in a weird way to the point you can't see the AOE on the ground creeping on you.
Sounds also like some characters needs buffs because they do basicly less damage then more easy characters and are based on using longer charging mechanics or timing🤔 i think this should be more of a risk and reward situation
Why do i get MVP with Rosetta ALL THE TIME? Doesnt matter who is in the party, Narmayas, Ios, Eugens, Rackams, my Rosetta is ALWAYS the MVP... does her constant buffs count towards the score that much?
I'd argue Yodarha should be top 5. His sheet DPS isn't the best, but he has probably the fastest uptime of DPS dumping AND invincibility for his BnB skills. So if the boss moves, you can just use a skill to chase and then dump, where as a lot of other melee don't have that option.
Vaseraga lacks mobility??? You should research more into other characters and some advanced mechanics on how to properly use them. You got Katalina, Ferry, Rosaria, Id and even Ghandagoza wrong in your presented tier list. Said characters have unique and advanced mechanic on how to use them, short example is Katalina's infinite ares and stout heart uptime. I understand that its easier to test these on the dummy but in an actual battle, this tierlist would be so different.
dummy dps is the best case scenario for every character due to 100% uptime and no need to worry about incoming attacks. So katalina literally cant reliably keep ares up forever in a real fight. yet even against the dummy she doesn't out perform. Im realizing there are many people that confuse their preference for a playstyle for a characters actual strength. There is also a clear lack of understanding of how dummy dps works or what it means. If a character is at the bottom in a dummy test like this then they will deal even less damage in a real fight with the boss moving around and attacking back. There is also the windows of opportunity like the proto bahamut fight where characters that need ramp up or ones that use a meter like katalina are forced to pre prep for when the boss falls over or they deal zero damage in each phase.

Since you focused on katalina, there are active applications of her infinite ares mech being used to sub 2min galmag runs in particular. She also does not need that much "prep" compared to other meter based characters due to her skill Azure Sword. Like ive said, research onto advanced mechanics on characters first. Also again, the video topic or title, states the best character, not the best dps.
Yeah his damage is so backloaded to his god mode that he just cant compete in a 60 second dps check with unga bunga shotgun man That being said over the course of a full fight in proud difficulty he is always a character im happy to see
i dont think you understand how dps works. if he is last against the dummy he is last against a real enemy. The only consideration for dummy dps is uptime. which is always lower in real fights due to boss movement and transitions. so this is the absolute best case scenario for all characters and they will almost universally deal less damage in a normal fight. ID only shines in mob focused missions due to his constant cleave attacks. but his damage is low.
Problem is, he needs his forms (especially Godmight) to be efficient while others have a constant DPS without relying on something for it and if he gets in critical state, you reset to your base form, reducing your DPS to dust. What he does in a short window with requirements, others do the same all the time.
I don’t know how you didn’t put Id on this list. He hits like a truck, especially when he switches to his dragon mode. Looking at your list I don’t play with none of the characters on your list. lol But my friends do and they are good characters, just not my play style.
i think yodarha deserves to be here i main lancelot before because i like speedy characters but when i switch to yodarha using the same sigils i use for my lancelot he actually does more damage over 42 mil i was shocked and the cd of his skills is also very short if you have cascade max and quick cooldown at at least 16 its crazy i tried soloing proto bahamut and i did it in a little over 14 minutes not sure if that's a good time but i did it with yodarha
Percival is in limbo when he cant quick carge after a skill or combo. Siegfried can keep damage up consistently with perfect executions regardless. Not sure how you came up with more damage output for Percival overall 🤔
I don't disagree with this top five. I main Rosetta myself so I don't have a ton of experience with these characters aside from Rackam but this seems solid.
just put eugen in sniping mode he will shreds hp. 160k+ per normal hit with his sigil is insane. not forgetting his bomb does 500k dmg. stick 3 on enemies u got 1.5mill. thats stupid dmg.
Racham is a strong character, but uhhh I don't think he's really the best in the game. Top 5 sure. Standard Racham has middling DPS, and no formus of utility. His most notable feature is that he can easily focus down parts for part break compared to most characters who cannot focus their damage on specific parts as easily. Aerial Shotgun Racham does the most damage in the game, but again brings no utility. And Aerial Shotgun Racham has extremely poor SBA generation. So it'll be significantly harder to stun bosses with 2 SBA x 2 SBA. Again the damage is admirable but he has pretty big weaknesses. And you should mention them when talking about the strengths of characters. This version of racham also has no mobility, and has to be on top of the boss to do damage. You mention this has a huge problem for Vaseraga but it's a huge problem for Aerial Shotgun Racham as well. Again I think Racham is a top 5 character. But listing him as number 1 undisputed best is a bit foolhardy, and kind of blingidng yourself to selfish damage, when there are other strengths that can contribute more to party DPS overall. Because the best party setup will have the highest party DPS.
This is so valid, I agree completely with this. But to counter this Racham has a skill which moves him around quickly, not sure how meta it is but it should cover with mobility just add cascade and quick cooldown for consistency. In that regard I would have better luck with a bit less damage and more CC Eugen is pretty good for that. Being able to control bosses is way more efficient for most parties. Like stunning a boss into a break, skipping phase transitions due to SBA time stop/ damage opportunities and knockdown animations, those extra seconds amount to millions of DPS for most characters, which makes fights easier and heavily makes up for more DPS on one single character play style. I can confidently say Racham is good, but try anyone you like, they all can do it. Btw Defuff immunity is dope, use it to not get burn and walk all over floor debuffs without being interrupted. Having Siegfried in your party is a Godsend use him and abuse him, as an Ai he doesn’t care he doesn’t die and is a total Chad. Play hard Have fun and wreck bosses ❤
If there is one thing that baffles me is how people underrate Rosetta alot, she does so much damage and ultility its crazy. Sure her attack up doesnt affect damage cap but the other two buffs she provides on roses are amazing and her skill set and uses are crazy as well
they dont underate her. she objectively does not do "so much damage". she has the lowest dps in the cast on a fully stationary enemy that doesnt fight back (the dummy). and one of her utilities is worthless due to damage cap. Im sorry friend but shes just not strong. You cant just make hyperbolic claims about how good she is in the hopes people just believe you. Nothing you said is true at all.
@@SH1NK1R01I agree, and for the tiny bit of damage she can do, she has to manage her roses perfectly while others like Charlotta can go unga-bunga to the moon with greater results. When it comes to utility, a Siegfried or Gran/Djeeta bring far more things on the table while having far more damage. (defensive buffs or atk down are far more valuable in the endgame compared to atk buffs being useless)

And def buffs and healing are moot when you basically die in one hit 90% of the time in end game as well. I want her to be better myself but given her playstyle.. she doesn't shine much in most boss scenarios given the outlandish mobility of most bosses in this game later on as well as her lack of outright damage she can deal herself since she doesn't seem to have any cheesy methods like Ferry.

Shes not perfect but shes still a stong character she takes effort to use and i guess you didnt read the attack up doesnt affect much part of my comment. However theres scenarios where it does work since most will not have it maxed and damage cap being maxed allows for it to work. But thats my opinion and no need for you all to be rude 😄
after 400 hours I do not agree :P especially not with rackam, he's just a glitchfest with his 2 uncapped attacks, percival is all about glitching as well, both of them get their dps from exploits so I wouldn't even bother letting them in the top 10 especially because of their lack of utility, also naru isn't really a big shot either. Eugen and Lance are pretty good tho. Most broken character which isn't glitchy is probably Vane overall, since you can skip like every major mechanic with him in the team and this will be certainly also true in the upcoming luci fight. DPS is not like = Best but based on your list this seems to be all that matters to you.
The game does need a harder mode in my opinion. A harder mode that doesn't drop loot randomly but offers guaranteed rewards. Make defensive and support sigils and skills actually useful. Also, most importantly, ensure teamwork is require winning the fight.
I think all characters are pretty balanced. Rackam truly does insane damage but only when controlled and he's a selfish DPS that has not many utilities, so as an, AI he sucks. The only character i think that need to be buffed is Io. Despite she's a support character but she's outshined by others. Gran did support role much better than her. Her charge is so slow.
Any character is worth your time but keep in mind that Siegfrieds are trolls, Cagliostros lost their key for link attack and SBA and Eugens are modders/cheaters. Essentially earth is a cursed element.
I think ferry deserves good spot too. She can heal, great buff for party and/or herself while inflict atk def debuff almost permanent as long as she releases her pets. Such versatile character.
I'm still not entirely with you on Percival but he's definitely up there. And granted she is not easy to play at all, but Katarina is crazy when played optimally. Rackam is simply indisputable. Even without shotgun spam his basic attack hits so hard and so frequently at any distance, and he has one of the best evasive skills in the game on top of that.
1. Vaseraga has 2 different dashes. One has no cooldown and goes across the map in 2 buttons. 2. He has a slow he doesn't need lancelot to glaciate for him lol. 3. The range on his combo finisher is like double the animation so even annoying bosses like pyet who love to jump backwards every 5 seconds still get hit ( unlike with my poor boy Yoda where every boss goes outside his fucking finisher range ). I think you just don't see people playing him much so everyone thinks hes slow and bad when hes actually an immortal juggernaut that never stops charging in at the boss lol. He especially excels at the triple boss encounters. He''s just a little awkward to learn since he doesn't benefit from all the things everyone else in the roster does. He's playing his own game which makes sense lore wise for the character. Hes the only character in the game outside of a specific lancelot cheese build that actually has full immortality/invulnerability 100% of the time if built correctly.
Do not use the training Dummy DPS parse showcases for what is optimal. Percival's rotor bug is nice but does NOTHING outside damage phases, and will typically just not hep you. Also it doesn't account for characters that can hit multiple times with abilities like Id, who can actually be way, way, WAY beyond 30m with the way his dragon form laser works and with the final hit of Godmight's explosion's extra hits all hitting the boss. Add to this, every single one of those hits is also high damage which allows supp dmg to scale better. I've seen countless Narmaya and Lance players be absolutely useless.
I am sorry but it’s too early for the “best characters list” I have 400 hours and still didn’t tested every character to it’s full potential. But from all I played I would say is top 5 io , 4 vaseraga , 3 cagliostro , 2 eugen and 1 rackam. The moment I played rackam which was at the start I knew he was the most broken character and I don’t even use the jump shotgun stuff 😂 plus I use eugen like you said on terminus farm. Easy mvp all the time.

Algorithm! I am just glad that all characters are good enough to use without feeling like a drag on the party. Hope the upcoming content is more difficult and requires better play, but hope not too much so to make it impossible with randoms.
I play Narmaya a lot myself and I agree that her kit is simple, no bs, just damage output. I can generally clear quests quicker with her than with other characters (probably because she has the best gear as well tbf). I hate to say this but after watching Starmi's Narmaya vid, the amount of perfect dodges are way too many comparing with most players. And with this level of precision, I think Starmi can play any other damage focus character and deal massive damage... Not to mention the Narmayas online sometimes just brainless hack and slash, no parries no dodges, die and die again without potion hoarder...
you think they should nerf rackam? I don't even play rackam but nerfing ANYTHING in a non pvp non competitive game is terrible. It's not breaking the game, it's just strong. Leave it alone. Also not seeing Ferry on the list when you can consistently out dps any of these characters on Ferry if you know what you're doing is weird.

Rackam is the biggest noob **** character of this whole game. Press L2 and square ..... 15m mvp gg easy , thats not amazing gameplay . Rackam = Npc mode . And dont get me wrong , i dont hate range characters. Eugen is one of my 4favs
disregard Charlotta... don't use her rackam is the best character in the game followed by eugen and Vaseraga and believe it or not Ghandagoza... the two brutes soak up damage and let the sharp shooters succeed at all times It's the only way to play
5 out of 10 online Rackams are either dying all the time or are stupid players. For this game yall youtuber should specify "best characters" based on what? Dps? Support? Balance between the two?. Likewise Narmaya is a 100% player skill dependant, and most of them are also dying all the time. Siegfried in my opinion should be there instead or Percival, simply because of his 70% def party buff. If you master his cancels(which is super easy) he can output insane amounts of damage while maintaining 70% buff up almost all the time, with his skills paired with cascade and awakening+. He can single handed carry any type of player or fight. So again be more specific on what is your opinion is about. Even quest based, for Lucilus, Dps will mean shit in the 1st days. Proto bahamut you want 100% DPS and so on.

Giving a concise “these are who I like most” with quick reasons, is going to be best for players who will never put in 100 hours. They MAY take out proto some day, and to them that’s end game. That's why making tier lists is always difficult. And using the word "best" maybe just for click bait is pretty shit for a growing RUclipsr. All they care about is engagement, but in reality the loose more than they gain because Im not clicking in this guy videos ever again, by this simple fact. Tier lists must have and state specifics, and very specific stuff, otherwise you're just dumb. Fighting games are way easier to make tier lists about. In this game there are a lot of variables.

In granblue, there is not much difference between ranged DPS and melee. Ranged DPS can output as much damage as a melee which is absurd. Having said that, there are fights where the downtime for the melee is absolutely stupid while the range can keep hitting.
The ceiling for the strongest melee characters is much higher to make up for loss in uptime.. Rackam's 60mil+ thing is entirely melee range and abusing a very specific move, he doesn't do nearly as much playing normally. Eugen, while very versatile, only gets crazy numbers when you can abuse his grenades with your back against a wall. Io does not have nearly as much uptime as the other true range characters but makes up for it with good burst windows. I'd say outside of Rosetta, who is literal shit, the roster is very well balanced and the only things pushing some characters well above the others under certain circumstances are a handful of bugs that will probably get addressed at some point

Charge shot Eugene still does mad damage while having that range advantage.
Normal play Rackam with just lvl 15 uplift substat has insane SBA gain from 4 burst shot it ain't even funny. Spitfire, etc does high burst that he's able to do peak dps at any range.
Io's weaknesses is a nonissue with how every charger character can continue a charge after dodging & figuring out a rotation plus quickcast is room temperature IQ stuff.
Meanwhile Sieg needs to literally struggle with camera, soft lock on being absolute shitfest, SBA or anything that takes focus away from the fight and dodging attacks, all while contending with how his entire gimmick is perfect execution/ timing.
Then we have Ghanda who has better output than sieg but has a hard time gap closing on majority of the content.
High execution characters are in the shitters atm from numerics alone. We literally have to sweat it out to even contend with room temperature IQ plays with any of the 3 ranged characters it ain't even funny.

Neg, get the best Rackem, Eugen and Io against the best melee characters and not a single one will beat the ranged. At the stage range is far out damaging melee. When you’re sitting there on the ground doing nothing except running in circles the ranged have already put on a few million damage. Melee even have the down time of running or wasting a skill to get to the boss.
Vaseraga actually has pretty good mobility if you know how to trigger it.
He does but as you just mentioned - you have to trigger it. As opposed to other characters who just flat out have the ability to skate across the arena. Sadly, there's no real comparison when other characters can either smash from range, or click a button off cooldown and auto-dash to the enemy.

Bud, you got Light cancel to heavy and Battalions of fear, choose both. The first option is a on demand easy input and the other one is the fastest skill cooldown in his kit. I barely walk out in the field, it's always charge up the butt or riot.@@Sabamonster

At first it sounded like you were saying his version of glaciate is better than hers but rather you just mean he does better damage in general? I mean, well yeah. Katalina is mix of utility and dps, provided some insane buffs, but their glaciate is more or less the same.
The glaciates are the same in length and power but katalina herself requires a bit more effort to be successful over Lancelot who basically... Is SUPER simple to play well. Very simple.
Katarina requires a guage management and timing on skills while ares is up (i'm aware of the perma uptime ares tech that exists btw) but lancelot is infinitely easier to play over her as it stands.
Lancelot main and I appreciate your appreciation for Glaciate. In online groups, it gives that extra 5-10 seconds of DPS spam that makes clearing proud level fights faster. 🥶

My boy Vane is my fave character. His golden retriever energy has won me over.
I really hope they buff Siegfried. Perhaps their logic with him is that he may not do the most amount of damage, but he has some crazy good support skills. But even so, I still would love to see a buff on him, particularly because you have to work so hard for his damage.
Siegfreid is actually cracked. He doesn't need buffs as a character. When you master the animation cancel you can jump to the finisher while gap closing, and with his awakening+ plus cascade and quick CDs he deals insane dps with his 3 offensive skills. I recently acquired this build, and I learnt i was playing him wrong. He plays like a Yodarha basically, but he tanks everything.

@@nawiiwan7664 you need the standard template: Awakening+ 4 Dmg Caps, 3 Supp damages, War elemental, 1 Crit rate. The 3 free slots you try to reach +100% att increase. The magic is inside seocndaries, you need Cascade and Quick cooldown maxed out. Improved dodge, nimble onslaught to god mode for 4 seconds. For over masteries you want Crit rate, Normals Up, Skill up and Skill Dmg Cap up 20%. With this you have your skills pretty much have less than half CD, and if you abuse cancels you get them every 5 seconds
I personally think stout heart needs to be incorporated into V+ rolls. They need to give melee something to close the gap on ranged.
i'd like his timings to not be so tight. in a vacuum they are fine for the most part but when you're in a messy fight or have stupid camera angles like Proto Bahamut, it can be a bitch to sometimes hit those timings
what is best afk combo, wanna play the game as a second monitor game and only tab in every 3 hour ^^
Best afk combo is
eugen, rackam and percival.
If the content is "too hard" some proud afk. Change percy to some good healer damage reduction like Gran or Ferry for dmg reduction.
And on your afk char.
Place something on the block botton so u always block.
And then have max regen, aegis, improved block, stout heart and auto revive.
This will make ur char survive long time and you will heal arou 3-4k per tick of regen.
If you play missions where you can use afk Full automatic chatacter. Have your main character Eugen, put a rubber band on the analog so he moves forward all the time or something on the W(forward key) on PC.
And for the 4th character put another high dps character.
All dps sigils, all dps skills too. No need for healing.

You definitely can 3hrs your battles as long as your one AFK battle is 20mins long. The timing depends on how slow your team can clear one battle because of the 10 battles repeat cut off. There will be a pop up asking you if you wanna continue repeating after 10 battles.
I AFK with my main team, Rosetta, Id, Rackam, Eugen. Sometimes I use Rosetta as main AFK character, most time is Rackam. When I wanna test out, I'll put Eugen as AFK character too and they all did well so far. Here's a Proud quest (Gallanza & Maglielle) with my main team:

The battle is long enough for me to take 2hrs break in between and do irl stuff. Plus at the same time farming for materials needed for other ascension weapons upgrades. For Terminus weapons upgrade, I still need to manually fight. Hopefully I'll be able to AFK them some day.

I have 6 fully awakened weapons with fully geared Charakters: Eugen, percival , siegfried , yodarha , io, narmaya and although percival is doing by far the most damage with the roter Wirbel glitch ( i Do 10 Million only with that single skill)
I always go back to low damage siegfried because Hes for me the most fun and satisfying gameplay of EM all.

as "Yodarha" AND using his "Hymn of the Hundred" (Nullifies 1-3 hits) skill, you'll virtually nerf "The Final Vision" quest with 8 second EASY invincibility triggers that you can AGGRESSIVELY control.
Use your (%) modifiers and buffs on (DMG) accordingly and you'll even still hit damage scores in the (damage cap [235%]) ranges, not to mention have insanely fast SBA charge due to the "Nimble Onslaught & Uplift" sigil levels.
Takes a while to farm the setup, but, been soloing Lucy for a two days now since this post all because of this build.
Its not just Rackam's shotgun spam that is good, but if you use Rackam with controller that has turbo mode his damage is insane without even needing to get close to the boss

I'd argue Yodarha should be top 5. His sheet DPS isn't the best, but he has probably the fastest uptime of DPS dumping AND invincibility for his BnB skills.
So if the boss moves, you can just use a skill to chase and then dump, where as a lot of other melee don't have that option.
Vaseraga lacks mobility??? You should research more into other characters and some advanced mechanics on how to properly use them. You got Katalina, Ferry, Rosaria, Id and even Ghandagoza wrong in your presented tier list. Said characters have unique and advanced mechanic on how to use them, short example is Katalina's infinite ares and stout heart uptime. I understand that its easier to test these on the dummy but in an actual battle, this tierlist would be so different.
dummy dps is the best case scenario for every character due to 100% uptime and no need to worry about incoming attacks. So katalina literally cant reliably keep ares up forever in a real fight. yet even against the dummy she doesn't out perform. Im realizing there are many people that confuse their preference for a playstyle for a characters actual strength. There is also a clear lack of understanding of how dummy dps works or what it means. If a character is at the bottom in a dummy test like this then they will deal even less damage in a real fight with the boss moving around and attacking back. There is also the windows of opportunity like the proto bahamut fight where characters that need ramp up or ones that use a meter like katalina are forced to pre prep for when the boss falls over or they deal zero damage in each phase.

Since you focused on katalina, there are active applications of her infinite ares mech being used to sub 2min galmag runs in particular. She also does not need that much "prep" compared to other meter based characters due to her skill Azure Sword. Like ive said, research onto advanced mechanics on characters first. Also again, the video topic or title, states the best character, not the best dps.

i dont think you understand how dps works. if he is last against the dummy he is last against a real enemy. The only consideration for dummy dps is uptime. which is always lower in real fights due to boss movement and transitions. so this is the absolute best case scenario for all characters and they will almost universally deal less damage in a normal fight. ID only shines in mob focused missions due to his constant cleave attacks. but his damage is low.

Problem is, he needs his forms (especially Godmight) to be efficient while others have a constant DPS without relying on something for it and if he gets in critical state, you reset to your base form, reducing your DPS to dust.

I don’t know how you didn’t put Id on this list. He hits like a truck, especially when he switches to his dragon mode. Looking at your list I don’t play with none of the characters on your list. lol But my friends do and they are good characters, just not my play style.

i think yodarha deserves to be here i main lancelot before because i like speedy characters but when i switch to yodarha using the same sigils i use for my lancelot he actually does more damage over 42 mil i was shocked and the cd of his skills is also very short if you have cascade max and quick cooldown at at least 16 its crazy i tried soloing proto bahamut and i did it in a little over 14 minutes not sure if that's a good time but i did it with yodarha

Percival is in limbo when he cant quick carge after a skill or combo. Siegfried can keep damage up consistently with perfect executions regardless. Not sure how you came up with more damage output for Percival overall 🤔

My Eugen grenade dodge build can make 480k dmg per second
just put eugen in sniping mode he will shreds hp. 160k+ per normal hit with his sigil is insane. not forgetting his bomb does 500k dmg. stick 3 on enemies u got 1.5mill. thats stupid dmg.

Racham is a strong character, but uhhh I don't think he's really the best in the game. Top 5 sure. Standard Racham has middling DPS, and no formus of utility. His most notable feature is that he can easily focus down parts for part break compared to most characters who cannot focus their damage on specific parts as easily.
Aerial Shotgun Racham does the most damage in the game, but again brings no utility. And Aerial Shotgun Racham has extremely poor SBA generation. So it'll be significantly harder to stun bosses with 2 SBA x 2 SBA. Again the damage is admirable but he has pretty big weaknesses. And you should mention them when talking about the strengths of characters. This version of racham also has no mobility, and has to be on top of the boss to do damage. You mention this has a huge problem for Vaseraga but it's a huge problem for Aerial Shotgun Racham as well.
Again I think Racham is a top 5 character. But listing him as number 1 undisputed best is a bit foolhardy, and kind of blingidng yourself to selfish damage, when there are other strengths that can contribute more to party DPS overall. Because the best party setup will have the highest party DPS.
This is so valid, I agree completely with this. But to counter this Racham has a skill which moves him around quickly, not sure how meta it is but it should cover with mobility just add cascade and quick cooldown for consistency. In that regard I would have better luck with a bit less damage and more CC Eugen is pretty good for that. Being able to control bosses is way more efficient for most parties. Like stunning a boss into a break, skipping phase transitions due to SBA time stop/ damage opportunities and knockdown animations, those extra seconds amount to millions of DPS for most characters, which makes fights easier and heavily makes up for more DPS on one single character play style. I can confidently say Racham is good, but try anyone you like, they all can do it.
Btw Defuff immunity is dope, use it to not get burn and walk all over floor debuffs without being interrupted. Having Siegfried in your party is a Godsend use him and abuse him, as an Ai he doesn’t care he doesn’t die and is a total Chad.

If there is one thing that baffles me is how people underrate Rosetta alot, she does so much damage and ultility its crazy. Sure her attack up doesnt affect damage cap but the other two buffs she provides on roses are amazing and her skill set and uses are crazy as well
they dont underate her. she objectively does not do "so much damage". she has the lowest dps in the cast on a fully stationary enemy that doesnt fight back (the dummy). and one of her utilities is worthless due to damage cap. Im sorry friend but shes just not strong. You cant just make hyperbolic claims about how good she is in the hopes people just believe you. Nothing you said is true at all.

When it comes to utility, a Siegfried or Gran/Djeeta bring far more things on the table while having far more damage. (defensive buffs or atk down are far more valuable in the endgame compared to atk buffs being useless)

I want her to be better myself but given her playstyle.. she doesn't shine much in most boss scenarios given the outlandish mobility of most bosses in this game later on as well as her lack of outright damage she can deal herself since she doesn't seem to have any cheesy methods like Ferry.
Also her plants have shit coding and don't work with some sigils

after 400 hours I do not agree :P especially not with rackam, he's just a glitchfest with his 2 uncapped attacks, percival is all about glitching as well, both of them get their dps from exploits so I wouldn't even bother letting them in the top 10 especially because of their lack of utility, also naru isn't really a big shot either. Eugen and Lance are pretty good tho. Most broken character which isn't glitchy is probably Vane overall, since you can skip like every major mechanic with him in the team and this will be certainly also true in the upcoming luci fight. DPS is not like = Best but based on your list this seems to be all that matters to you.
The game does need a harder mode in my opinion. A harder mode that doesn't drop loot randomly but offers guaranteed rewards. Make defensive and support sigils and skills actually useful. Also, most importantly, ensure teamwork is require winning the fight.
I think all characters are pretty balanced. Rackam truly does insane damage but only when controlled and he's a selfish DPS that has not many utilities, so as an, AI he sucks.
The only character i think that need to be buffed is Io. Despite she's a support character but she's outshined by others. Gran did support role much better than her. Her charge is so slow.
Any character is worth your time but keep in mind that Siegfrieds are trolls, Cagliostros lost their key for link attack and SBA and Eugens are modders/cheaters.
Essentially earth is a cursed element.
I think ferry deserves good spot too. She can heal, great buff for party and/or herself while inflict atk def debuff almost permanent as long as she releases her pets. Such versatile character.

Rackam is simply indisputable. Even without shotgun spam his basic attack hits so hard and so frequently at any distance, and he has one of the best evasive skills in the game on top of that.

Cagliostro is definitely top tier, as both main dps and as Ai support
1. Vaseraga has 2 different dashes. One has no cooldown and goes across the map in 2 buttons. 2. He has a slow he doesn't need lancelot to glaciate for him lol. 3. The range on his combo finisher is like double the animation so even annoying bosses like pyet who love to jump backwards every 5 seconds still get hit ( unlike with my poor boy Yoda where every boss goes outside his fucking finisher range ). I think you just don't see people playing him much so everyone thinks hes slow and bad when hes actually an immortal juggernaut that never stops charging in at the boss lol. He especially excels at the triple boss encounters. He''s just a little awkward to learn since he doesn't benefit from all the things everyone else in the roster does. He's playing his own game which makes sense lore wise for the character. Hes the only character in the game outside of a specific lancelot cheese build that actually has full immortality/invulnerability 100% of the time if built correctly.
Do not use the training Dummy DPS parse showcases for what is optimal.
Percival's rotor bug is nice but does NOTHING outside damage phases, and will typically just not hep you.
Also it doesn't account for characters that can hit multiple times with abilities like Id, who can actually be way, way, WAY beyond 30m with the way his dragon form laser works and with the final hit of Godmight's explosion's extra hits all hitting the boss.
Add to this, every single one of those hits is also high damage which allows supp dmg to scale better.
I've seen countless Narmaya and Lance players be absolutely useless.
Leave my Rakham alone he don't need nerf he need to be that inepuch man we need to teach these silly bosses on Proud mode a lesson 😤👀🤣🤣🤣
I am sorry but it’s too early for the “best characters list” I have 400 hours and still didn’t tested every character to it’s full potential. But from all I played I would say is top 5 io , 4 vaseraga , 3 cagliostro , 2 eugen and 1 rackam. The moment I played rackam which was at the start I knew he was the most broken character and I don’t even use the jump shotgun stuff 😂 plus I use eugen like you said on terminus farm. Easy mvp all the time.

@hua.. And there exists utility in this game that provides dps window for the whole team (glaciate, paralyze, sba, cb) which is far more valuable than Narmaya unga bunga

Percival not only has better personal damage... he has one of the best slows in the game that, which is really powerful when paired with glaciate for extending dps windows.
in case of soloing Galanza and Magielle i recommend Leaflit she does it with multible characters.
Algorithm! I am just glad that all characters are good enough to use without feeling like a drag on the party. Hope the upcoming content is more difficult and requires better play, but hope not too much so to make it impossible with randoms.
If ya plan on doing content creation full time I wouldn’t let off the gas. Algorithm will tank you so you have to work extra hard to get back in
I play Narmaya a lot myself and I agree that her kit is simple, no bs, just damage output. I can generally clear quests quicker with her than with other characters (probably because she has the best gear as well tbf).
I hate to say this but after watching Starmi's Narmaya vid, the amount of perfect dodges are way too many comparing with most players. And with this level of precision, I think Starmi can play any other damage focus character and deal massive damage... Not to mention the Narmayas online sometimes just brainless hack and slash, no parries no dodges, die and die again without potion hoarder...

you think they should nerf rackam? I don't even play rackam but nerfing ANYTHING in a non pvp non competitive game is terrible. It's not breaking the game, it's just strong. Leave it alone. Also not seeing Ferry on the list when you can consistently out dps any of these characters on Ferry if you know what you're doing is weird.
As much as i love this game as much do i hate it… The balancing in this game straight up sucks! They need to either nerf those overpowered characters or buff the others.

rackam is the best character in the game followed by eugen and Vaseraga and believe it or not Ghandagoza... the two brutes soak up damage and let the sharp shooters succeed at all times

5 out of 10 online Rackams are either dying all the time or are stupid players. For this game yall youtuber should specify "best characters" based on what? Dps? Support? Balance between the two?. Likewise Narmaya is a 100% player skill dependant, and most of them are also dying all the time.
Siegfried in my opinion should be there instead or Percival, simply because of his 70% def party buff. If you master his cancels(which is super easy) he can output insane amounts of damage while maintaining 70% buff up almost all the time, with his skills paired with cascade and awakening+. He can single handed carry any type of player or fight. So again be more specific on what is your opinion is about. Even quest based, for Lucilus, Dps will mean shit in the 1st days. Proto bahamut you want 100% DPS and so on.

@@chrisgee8441 Nah, for starters the title of the video doesn't state that. And second, while his comments were leaned more into dps and time completion, he seemed vague about it overall. Like why even mention Siegfried vs Percival, when Eugen Out dps both of them?. Likewise Zeta is stronger than either, but in a quest like Magielle and Gallanza Zeta drops marginally, while Siegfried is god tier in that quest. Also why even consider Charlotta vs Lance, when she's not even a dps top tier. That's why specifics are specifics.
@@tiltingart9276 I picked up plenty in context. The average gamer won’t care about raw dps vs. realistic dps. Giving a concise “these are who I like most” with quick reasons, is going to be best for players who will never put in 100 hours. They MAY take out proto some day, and to them that’s end game. I can’t imagine anyone more with 100 hours is looking on RUclips for something they already have an understanding of, or are actively a part of the discussion elsewhere. Long story short. I liked it it. I have 60 hours. I’m in proud mode, now I may try Rak, and probably gonna stop before proto. We’ll see though.

In summary: It really depends on the individual's play style to determine what's "Best" for them. "Best" is also subjective. What's "best" for one person is not necessarily for another.
@@chrisgee8441 Im close to 300 hrs as well, I play the entire 18 character roster and I'm still interested mainly in stopping misinformation spread like this. That's why making tier lists is always difficult. And using the word "best" maybe just for click bait is pretty shit for a growing RUclipsr. All they care about is engagement, but in reality the loose more than they gain because Im not clicking in this guy videos ever again, by this simple fact.
Tier lists must have and state specifics, and very specific stuff, otherwise you're just dumb. Fighting games are way easier to make tier lists about. In this game there are a lot of variables.
