Great car, I have two running TL01s. Like you I have a touring car with an Aussie racing body and a buggy/truck with a Ford utility body, so I can use buggy tyres or big truck tyres. Nice video mate very enjoyable. Tamiya, bring back the TL-01 platform! 🤓🇦🇺
Got both TL-01B’s oil filled shocks and ball bearings, run like a dream. I’ve also added the DF03 steering tie rods. They jump really well! Hoping to get a on road TL-01 soon
Very nice! I really love the TL-01, way back I had a TL-01 Lancer. Always wanted to snag a buggy version but waited too long and they dissapeared. I really wish they would rerelease either version.
I have the Baja Champ version, extremely tough buggy. I have a mild brushless set up in mine and oil (grease filled actually) shocks. Only failure was one A arm mount broke off ( hit a tree at 30mph or 50km) and tbose silly plastic ended dog bones. I have run countless batteries through is both 2s and 3s and it just keeps running and running. Still my fav buggy out of my collection after all these years. What part of Canada are you from?
Nice Vid, Thx! I have some basic questions for my off road TL-01B build. What is your TL-01B Tire Diameter, Pinion tooth count, and are you having motor/esc heat problems on long runs?

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I really like this TL-01b and can't wait to try it with the oil shocks but weather has been really cold lately.
@@2SubaruBrats ya where I live in Canada, with the snow makes running cars harder
Just imagine how much better it would do with oil fill dampers. Still handles those conditions better than the frog does.
Getting oil shocks soon. It handles quite well without.

Yes. I really like the buggy version. It drives and handles quite well.
You can still buy the parts and build one up like I did, you might need to get a different body for it. 🤓
