I'm gonna give a shoutout to the production quality of this show. CGB has picked a great cast, film crew, music, art and editing team to make this show a joy to watch!
This table really represents someone from every commander group. CGB has win-cons and really big combos in mind to aim for that either hit hard or get snuffed out by the table early and is the table trigger-referee, Blake wants to control other people’s moves and is the most likely to piss everybody off, Shea casually going for evil shenanigans with a casual smile on her face, and Ben is just there for a good time keeping things light and enjoyable. This was one of the cooler ends to a Commander game I’ve seen. Thanks for the great content! And btw, I am the CGB at my table.
I love this series so much and this was by far my favorite episode. So much craziness, ramping, dice rolling, mystery cards, and Ben passing for turn happening
"I'm gonna play a Face-down Kadena's Silencer" That moment was GOLDEN. The epithome of having fun and being comfortable playing magic with your friends. Good stuff, indeed.
I've been a big fan of Myrkul ever since he was spoiled. CGB really showed the power of this card in the command zone by casting him for 11 and STILL going off. Amazing game.
That was such a crazy game! I loved the back and forth, and the crazy MEATHOOK grind down to the last second, including swords on your own commander to make sure you didn't die was the exact brand of ironic insanity that I love in watching CGB playing commander. Step 1. Ramp to commander, Step 2. Try to protect & recast commander for infinite value, Step 3. Exile your own commander for life to kill people with OP fringe cards... brilliant patience is the wincon moment
now that was my type of commander game! LOVED the amount of interaction and how patiently you all walked through the stack when it was getting pretty hectic!
Love the spiciness of the decks, aswell as the fresh decks each show. I feel like I'm the only one in my commander group trying new decks every week. Thanks each of you for the splediferous content
Legendary! This is the absolute madness that I wanted to see when I first saw that commander released. Glad the worst possible was dismantled so we could see the best possible.
This was the best episode yet! I really enjoyed the last one too, but this one really topped it. Everybody was having such a fun time, and everybody got a chance to do cool things. Topping it off with one of the most insane winning lines I've seen!
Congratz to CGB! I think Blake's handshake at the end summarizes all I have to say, well played sir, well played! Made me want to make a Myrkul deck myself! I'm sure my friends will "looove" it hahaha
Ben reading the intro text was probably the most wholesome and authentic performance on this show yet, loved it! Also shout out to CGB going for the last minute plowshares with the trigger on the stack.... yeah, we all know he could have just played it upfront that sequence but it wouldn't have been THAT content play. Also big shoutouts to Shea and Blake for playing my kids most favourite colors and strategies: Rakdos big demons, and Sultai morph. Made them feel super proud of owning some of that cards... thanks! 😸
As a Teysa, Orzhov Scion Commander fanatic that line of infinite sacrifice value with the swords of plowshare IN Response to your own die trigger to gain life made the Johnny player in me proud. Love the content, I've been following your channel since the beginning of arena, never been disappointed with the convoluted ways to win you always seem to find. Keep up the great content !
This is my favorite commander show on RUclips by far and I try and watch every episode. Even when I’m shot after work I’ll throw it on when I’m taking a nap and just listen to the dialogue half awake.
Really cool win. But I'd just like to mention that I played against CGB and this exact deck at Too Many Games in Philly and took him out with my Dragons deck... It was the least I could do to get him back for beating me with the Pirates Jumpstart deck the night before... ;) Another great episode. Really love this series. -John
I don't have any specific comment, I just wanted to thank you CGB for getting me back into magic 2 years ago in Arena and now thank you all for making me SO hyped to get back into paper magic (even though I'm clueless on how to do it)
One of the things I love about this group is how excited people get when someone pulls off such a dramatic play like CGB did! Also I have a love hate relationship with CGB and his deck building. I've been wanting to build Myrkul deck and now I know my deck will not be anywhere near as good as his is. What a Handsome and smart gamer! That swords move while everything is on the stack was amazing!!!
Great win. Not only Ben was a delight as the face of the Worst Possible, but it gave CGB the opportunity to focus all his awesomeness and brain power to land this beautiful victory
one of the coolest games of comm I've ever seen. the deck styles were so unique, interactive and I dont think ive ever seen anything quite like it. super fun to witness dude!
Turning all your creatures into enchantments? I think CGB would have done a whole lot better if he just played one. Hell, while you're at it, just one creature too. It's amazing just how powerful Prismatic Bridge and Jin Gitaxias can be. Maybe next week!
That game was epic, the ending was so (Myr)Cool. When we played CLB pre release here, my friend played Myrkul as their commander - and unfortunately misplayed its ability as the creatures coming back period - and totally wrecked us. Showing it's ability off by making creatures with abilities into enchantments is quite good to see. Thank you!
I love how cgb just turned his commander into thanos, after all of that sacrifice and death, his commander became a farmer. THE HARDEST PLAYS REQUIRES THE STRONGEST WILL. gg cgb.
All this video taught me was that you should seriously consider some outtakes at the end of your videos. I was dying during the cuts on Ben’s intro. That alone made this one of my favorite episodes to date.
To CGB, I liked the speech you made on your last historic brawl video. Commander should be doing fun things and enjoyment measured on everyone having fun. Your deck was optimized for weird and fun. I bet this was one of your most satisfying wins. 😊
Blake's deck surprised me! I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It was always so exciting to see what morph cards he "secretly" (for the most part) had at his disposal! The win wasn't my fave, but diff people prefer diff playstyles. Nbd! Good game, guys.
Very sweet game. Watched it twice back to back to really get the full feel. I knew if anyone could make Myrkul, Lord of Bones go off, it would be CGB. Very happy to see it played, and win!
I love it when games come down to that kind of down-to-the-wire careful strategic planning and execution. I was actually playing in a pod on Friday with my Greasefang deck, and I was up against two decks with scute swarms on the board and a guy with a creature that had like 3200 power and toughness, well I used a Nautiloid Ship to reanimate an enemy's Stormtide Leviathan and attrition out a board of a few thousand creatures with a Parhellion II, it was insane.
That was a hell of a fun game to watch. That ending with swords to plowshares? It really made me smile, what a move! and as for misplays, who cares? Commander is supposed to be funny, and the mission was accomplished with perfection
Comments ARE poppin' about that Command Tower, but that's because that toss was awesome. Player legit Stone Rain'ing themselves out of fairness. Might not be the play of the game, but it's one of those that makes me want to watch the show. Showmanship and flair at no cost to integrity? Sign me up!
Stayed till the end even through commercial for more support amazing game LOVE The Worse Possible Commander show easily hands down best Commander channel EVER thank to you all making time to make these amazing content please never forget you're all cool 😎🤟🏽
And this is why Dani is my favorite magic player, all triggers well stacked and explained without stopping to think too much. Not only it is cool to see the way how smart he plays but also helps you learn this type of stack tricks for your own future games. Loved the video, thank you for the update, will be looking forward to next one, cheers!
CGB great job at navigating that deck I feel it could easily be a compatible CEDH commander with some extra protection for Myrkul but WAY TO GO CGB!!!!
CGB! I have spent the last few days playing your Arcane Bombardment deck on the ladder pushing rank. It felt pretty festive for this holiday weekend to just fling a buttload of spells at my opponent. I don't normally netdeck but Arcane Bombardment was a card that definitely caught my interest and I have a full blown Invoke Despair addiction. I added a bunch more face damage and went up to a full playset of Burn Down the House to have a chance against the Boros meta. It's been a 'blast' but I think my ninja deck is putting up a better winrate. 😉 People just don't know how to play against it and I have gotten some really sneaky lethals out of nowhere.
CGB, for the ending you didn't even need Swords to Plowshares - you could've sac'd the esper sentinel, put the triggers on the stack to have the Midnight Reaper trigger at the bottom, and after resolving Meathook Massacre's trigger but before getting to the Reaper trigger then sac Myrkul himself to have another Meathook Massacre trigger on top, closing out the game before resolving the Reaper trigger(s). Wouldn't change the quality of the play or the ending though - very nice sequence!
In a little over 12 hrs we shall be blessed by the mighty countenances of Ben, Blake, CGB, and Shae!! Oh how we are ever fortunate in their terrifying matches for if they did ever decide to join forces then nothing could ever even hope to stand in their way and survive! FIRST 😎
Myrkul is a deity of death on the Forgotten Realms, worshiped by evil mages (Looking at you CGB) props for the win with Sword to plowshares getting you life.
What a game! Very competitive, Shae really popped off and I'm sure was very close to one of her win cons, and Blake and Ben were right in there throughout with some very cool decks. How do these games keep getting better?!
I think the only thing I would say is that Rakdos getting the option to return to the command zone after dying is a State Based Action so it can’t get stifled by that Silencer flipping. 903.9a If a commander is in a graveyard or in exile and that object was put into that zone since the last time state-based actions were checked, its owner may put it into the command zone. This is a state-based action. See rule 704.
minor point but at about 28:10 saccing avacyns pilgrim to viscera seer and triggering the midnight reaper: you don't get to choose where the scry goes in the stack. it goes at the bottom b/c you are activating it, and all the other stuff (reaper, myrkul) is triggered by that
Hi CGB, Everyone’s t-shirts are great IMHO. Shae’s is the best. CGB’s is 2nd best. Blake and Ben’s t-shirts tie for 3rd. Great game! I bought the whole seat BUT I ONLY NEEDED THE EDGE!!
Solid game what a ended CGB well done with the sacs to win! and Blake dont worry we all have made or know some one to have make that error. (I may have had two demonic tutors in a deck for a short time, picked up a second copy and put it in the wrong deck XD)
Not even trying to win the 50 dollar I'm just mind blown CGB your deck is truly insane I just had a feeling there was no stopping your pandora box and the funny moment nice Blake with the 2 land 😎🤟🏽
That ending was so crazy. Too much stack manipulation...but it worked out. And the enchantments went off so hard. I would consider either Opalesence, auratog, thaumatog, faith healer, or something to give enchantments shroud. Or something with constellation...Doomwake Giant is a beast with Myrkul
Threading the needle on the win was masterful. I can't tell if CGB had that planned out at the beginning or made it up as he went. Either way, deck construction definitely was fantastic.
I know I´m very late here, but is that T-Shirt CGB is wearing (black with all the different mana symbols) available for purchase anywhere? I quite like it!
I like that you guys support each other after someone makes a crazy play. My buddy's just complain about whatever won me the game and then decide they don't want to play against it again and make a big deal out of me playing that card(s). Takes the fun out of the game. One guy complains about counterspells being dumb, someone else says no infect, someone else says no direct damage since there are no counterspells, someone else says no win cons, etc. Are you still even playing the game at that point. No infinite combos either. (By intent)
So what I wanna know, since I didn't hear mention of the trigger, drawing the cards for the ghastly conscription putting them onto the battlefield. Since I play a Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer deck I had to wonder, 8 power on the table and four cards in hand, that seems pretty good to me. That or editing left that out of the cut?
Man, it's weird hearing Ben talk this much. He's either telling you you're losing, and how hard you're losing, or he's just enjoying the game. What an amazing group of people...! edit: Yeah, I should've waited. What a fucking ending!! Holy crap!
Loved how big brain CGBs deck was. And I get the feeling Shae didn't get the memo from CGB and should have played Jund so everyone would have had green in the game lol
When rakdos goes to the grave yard state based effects is when she has her choice it's not an ability it's an aspect of being a commander it cannot be countered or denied unless you control her turn
no the question was weather shea had the option or had already chosen for rakdos to go to the graveyard they determined that she decided rakdos was going to the graveyard so she could get him out just the getting him out part was stopped not the part where shea let him go to the yard
@@theotherguy4456 no they have changed it Your commander goes to the graveyard, That is when you decide if it stays. Same with exile, its why you can permanently remove commanders if you stifle delay triggers on returning from exile. Once the commander goes to whatever zone it was going to, you then have teh choice to put it into the command zone
I'm not sure how kosher comments on you guys' looks are but Shae has looked oddly familiar and I haven't been able to pinpoint why. Now that the last few episodes of Stranger Things S4 just came out I finally figured out there's some resemblance to young Winona Ryder imo. Just a genuine observation from my point of view, hopefully not an offensive one!
That was absolutely one of the best win lines I've witnessed in a commander game. Absolute definition of big brain magic.
Incredibly impressive
Absolutely clutch Myrkul victory.
I'm gonna give a shoutout to the production quality of this show.
CGB has picked a great cast, film crew, music, art and editing team to make this show a joy to watch!

Enchantments going off? This was an absolute JOY to watch…I love how you got to play all the worst things from your deck!
Aww, look at Ben hosting. He's so genuine. How quickly I started looking forward to this show as a highlight of my week.
"I'm gonna play a Face-down Kadena's Silencer"

One of the best endings to a commander game I've ever seen.
Thanx for playing and sharing this with us. That was a match of many faces that ended with a proper big brain combo!
You know it’s a good game when CGB does one of his worst possibles and Blake goes for the handshake out of a sheer respect. Great game!
CGB pulled off a miraculous save! All hail the stack and its shenanigans! (and no blue!)
awesome channel, just subd after a small binge ^^
CGB! Going deep with the Shaman. That was nuts! My brain hurt watching that line. Can't imagine how bad you'd was hurting.

UK fan here. Nobody looks forward to starting work on Monday morning but The Worst Possible Commander Show makes work just about bearable.

Some people meat-hook the board. CGB meat-hooks the table, opponents included. Plus ultra hooking, represent that dojo! Well played my dude.
what an awesome deck! so interesting to see all the pieces work together. TRIGGER TRIGGER TRIGGER
Thanks for the show CGB, all those decisions were amazing. You are a great player and my favorite above all pros. Keep with the commander content.
Blake's deck surprised me! I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It was always so exciting to see what morph cards he "secretly" (for the most part) had at his disposal!
The win wasn't my fave, but diff people prefer diff playstyles. Nbd!

Ben really wholesome at the start. Thanks for leaving the cuts in!!
That win was spectacular, the sequencing in particular. Clearly all that training in the dojo paid off.

CGB great job at navigating that deck I feel it could easily be a compatible CEDH commander with some extra protection for Myrkul but WAY TO GO CGB!!!!
One of my favorite commander games I've watched online! Really weird but awesome game and great to see shay really get into this one
This was one of the craziest games you've had on this show! That was one heck of a game, especially the way it ended!!
Watching CGB always going for the giga-brain letal is the best! Never didn’t have it…

I just love how much complex each of their decks get the longer the game moves on. CGB just freaking destroyed them with a Meathook Massacre.
Best intro yet!! Got the lolz started right away!
That Swords play was 700 IQ. Good game, CGB!
What a game! Very competitive, Shae really popped off and I'm sure was very close to one of her win cons, and Blake and Ben were right in there throughout with some very cool decks. How do these games keep getting better?!

Props to CGB for figuring out how to pronounce Myrkul for this episode 😂 oh and that crazy last sequence of plays
Ben is so wholesome… everyone is just popping of and his counter is “I play Boros Signet”.
Excellent game as always! Keep the videos coming!

My head exploded on that final play and I can't even tell which one at this point.
Jinny G was proud of the compleation of your components 😎
Threading the needle on the win was masterful. I can't tell if CGB had that planned out at the beginning or made it up as he went. Either way, deck construction definitely was fantastic.

no the question was weather shea had the option or had already chosen for rakdos to go to the graveyard they determined that she decided rakdos was going to the graveyard so she could get him out just the getting him out part was stopped not the part where shea let him go to the yard
I kept singing the Team America song on CGB's turns, except it was more like Ah-Myrrrrkul, Ah-Myrrrrrrkul! (F yeah)
