I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have been to many islands in the Caribbean and Aruba is my favorite. It is so unique, so wonderfully authentic, and so full of history. ❤️
Hello thank you for sharing Our trip to Aruba in few weeks and is our first time visiting there. Family of 4 with two kids any suggestions places for kids to play or hang out with? And when you back to.USA we pass the US custom at Aruba or pass the US custom when we land at the US airport?
I was in Aruba is Sept. 2022 & Sept. 2022. Wow, they must have loved me! I didn't know a tip was factored in This being said my tip probably amounted to about 50% or better! No problem! When I return I'll do it again....and again!
@@stewartquark1661 Haha! No worries. It's nice to give a bonus to someone that provides exceptional service. The service fee gets divided between all the workers, even the chef, hostess, etc. The tip you provide on top of that goes directly to your server. We will often tip on top of the service fee.
Very exciting! If you get the chance, I highly recommend the Jeep tour and going to Barefoot restaurant. This is the Jeep tour we took: viator.tp.st/mBSQyXDy
@@callmejjblog thank you! We have a car reserved and we just discussed renting a jeep for the national park! You provided great information! Out 10th anniversary is next week, we’ll look into the Barefoot!
@AbuelaBenitez If you have a car, drive inland and visit Casibari Cafe and Grill. There's a huge rock there that you can climb (there's a path and stairs, not rock climbing) for an incredible sunset view.
Very helpful. Do you think the VIP airport service is worth for arrivals or departures? I’m coming in on a Sunday and leaving on a Saturday, with a family group of 14, including grandparents in their 70s.
It has always just been my husband and I, so we have just used a taxi service. But, with a group as large as yours, you may be better off using a car service. Here is one that came recommended to me that you may want to look into: www.viator.com/tours/Aruba/Private-Airport-Transportation-Services/d28-12431P5?pid=P00158583&mcid=42383&medium=link&medium_version=selector
@tri1038 That's a tough one to answer because it depends on your budget, what kind of food you like, and how romantic you'd like the dinner to be. Barefoot or Flying Fishbone are a great experience with great food and watching the sun set over the water is lovely. Personally, I've not been to Madame Jeanette's yet but it comes highly recommended. Last time we were in Aruba, we went to Lucca Trattoria and the food was incredible. For atmosphere and view, it's hard to beat Faro Blanco. I hope that helps! Happy anniversary!
This would be a hard question to answer because I think it depends on how far you want to go and how much you want to see. We rented a car and spent one full day driving around and really enjoyed it. One advantage of renting a car is that you get to drive along the shoreline. There's a section of the island where the waves are so fierce that it's pretty much uninhabited, but it's gorgeous and there are some historic monuments there.
I would love to go for a longer period of time, maybe stay at some sort of hostel, or bedroom for rent by a local? Do you have any suggestions for me to look? I imagine the cheapest overnight accommodation would probably be at least $50/night? Even if it's in the capital city, and maybe just take the bus to the beach, or even a day pass should I want to explore that day. Is there a bus that circulates around the entire island in case someone wants to see another area of the island for a few hours? If not, a taxi for sure would be an option. I live in Toronto, Canada, would prefer to go to Aruba during our winter to escape the cold, and regain back Vitamin D 🙂 I imagine accommodations would be more expensive than say, their off-season. I'm sure it's wonderful all year 'round, but who wants to leave their summer to go somewhere even hotter lol That is wonderful news about the local water, will save alot of money getting it for free! If/when I do go down, I won't be drinking beer and eating crazy, as it is expensive. In fact, I think I will do alot of fasting, eat lightly, mostly drink water except for a beer in the later afternoon after being on the beach. I would love to spend a month down there on a cheap budget.
Thank you for reaching out! I have not had the opportunity to stay in Aruba for more than a week at a time. We were at the Hilton Aruba on each trip because we love it so much. If you're interested, you can check their hotel out here: bit.ly/3xURv2M At the very least, it'll give you a comparison rate for renting a house or apartment. One of the things I would highly recommend doing is the Jeep tour: www.viator.com/tours/Aruba/Aruba-Off-Road-Island-Tour-Including-Natural-Pool-and-Baby-Beach/d28-6841ISLAND This is a lot of fun and you get to see quite a bit of the island that way. If you'd rather have a smoother, non-off road tour, the bus tour of the island is also a lot of fun: www.viator.com/tours/Oranjestad/Colorful-Beach-Bus-Sightseeing-Tour-of-Aruba/d50211-47774P1 Hope that helps!
On our last trip, we didn't rent a car, so any pricing information I have would be old. But, you can check out rental pricing here: bit.ly/3Qf4wuF We rented a crossover SUV because we knew we were going off road along the beach, but if you're planning to stay on the road, any kind of economy car would work.

I'm sorry that you had an experience like that. I have loved Aruba every time I've been there, so the video was based off my experiences. But two people can do the same thing and have very different experiences. The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. 😉
Highly imformative and I have been 4 times going for 6 in April. "One Happy Island" Sun screen is a MUST!

Thanks for sharing this video. Aruba is beautiful. 😍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
we went to Aruba 3 times and really en`j`oyed it very much and the people were very friendly.
That is so true! We ended up at a local pub and had so much fun with the locals that we spent all afternoon and evening there. One happy island!
We been there 15 times and love this island
Oh wow, 15 times! That's great. It is a spectacular place to visit. 😁

Great video. Actually going in a few weeks. Did not know that the tip was already included or added as a surcharge. Thank you.
Happy to help! I always research the tip culture of wherever I'm traveling to, because it's often quite different from how we do it in the States.

Make sure where you sleep in air conditioned. The Humidity at night will be about 90%.
Good advice for any tropical region!

What cell service is available in aruba
I can't give you a thorough response on that. You'll want to check with your provider. I have the Verizon International Plan and that worked great.
How can you make videos like this . Way too many tourists. Everything is overcrowded . Not what it used to be
